Mid-Level Travel Experience

I travel at least twice a year. Usually Mexico, Dominican or Costa Rica. I haven't been to Cuba in about 15 years and was quiet disappointed. Travelling to Cuba I knew "Cuba was Cuba" but I did expect a minimum standard. The Great - the beach and water are unmatched most anywhere. It is crystal clear and beautiful white sand. The servers are amazing and do their best to make your experience amazing. They are top notch - friendly, kind, happy and genuine. Same goes for the front desk staff, g [... read more]ardeners and bar tenders. The fresh fruit, veggies and meat directly on the grill is amazing. The omelets in the morning are to die for and that is matched with the fresh bread! The Mediterranean al a carte is amazing! The Bad - Cuba goes without. One day we didn't have milk. For 3 days there was no toilet paper in the general washrooms. One day our towels didn't get changed out due to being out of laundry soap. It wasn't like the staff didn't want to supply these things - they just didn't have them. That was standard for the resorts around us as we would make small talk on our beach walks. The resort is dated and the rooms show it. Again since they don't have a Home Depot down the street they have "made it work" with odd screws, different handles and mixed furniture. Unfortunately for our travel partners they had to change rooms 3 times due to cockroaches, ants and mold in large amounts. This just puts you on high alert. The fitness room was good but 2 of the 3 bikes were broken and 2 out of the 3 treadmills did not power on. However the free weights and machines provided a great workout while on vacation. I loved the vacation for the beach, water, sun, company and the people. However I did miss the little things and especially the "luxuries" that are standard in Mexico or Dominican

Best beach location

The hotel overall is okay, however, the public bathrooms are in terrible shape. No seats, broken urinals and some were closed.The rooms were spacious and clean, with a stocked fridge and a balcony. The beach is by far the best quality of the area. You can walk for miles in either direction. We never went to the pool. But it looked nice. The se [... read more]cond best part of the hotel was the food. By far the best food I have ever had in Cuba. I have been to Cuba 5, times, always a different place. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the beach, great food and happy staff.

I’ll never go back

I can’t even believe this resort was rated a 4 plus. We had to move rooms 3 times due to cockroaches , ants , blood stained sheets and mold . ( I have pics to back that up). There was no beach towels.. the couple we went with had same towels all week. Only reason we had new ones is because we had to move rooms . The resort is run down and needs updating. Should be rated a 3 at best .

Great experience

We stayed at memories flamenco for 7 days and have absolutely no complaints ... the staff were great and the excursions were also amazing ..and the most amazing and clean beach ... would definitly go here again

Beautiful Beach!

You have two options when staying at this resort - focus on all the little details that are wrong; or, you can focus on the beautiful scenery, weather, and wonderful people that are more than ready to serve you. The resort is small, which is helpful for wayfinding. Generally speaking the resort and the rooms are very clean. There is one bathroom that doesn't have toilet seats, but this is common in many countries. The supply of toilet paper was scarce, but that's a reflection of the world's p [... read more]olitics, not the resort.The food is okay. You'll always find something to eat, but don't go here if you're looking for a culinary adventure. The a la carte restaurants are nice. During the day, you'll find more than enough activity at the pool to keep you busy and the pools are CLEAN. The best part of the resort are the people. While service can be slow at times, they are keen to provide you with the very best cocktails. If you do visit, look for Pino at the Sports Bar (Route 66) and ask for a PinaColada. Best on the island. The beach is the crown jewel of this resort. You can walk for miles in either direction and it feels very safe to do so. Stunning views.

Great place!!

Loved all of it!! The people who work there are awesome, very friendly! The rooms were a bit dated, but everything worked and they were clean. The food was good and there was lots of choice. The pool was great and the beach was fantastic. The shows they put on every night were amazing! There was always some type of entertainment going on at the pool. The gardens were very well taken care of and the gardeners are very friendly and will make you cool hats. I would definitely return to this resort  [... read more]and would 100% recommend it. Great Value

The resort is showing some wear and tear but overall it was very clean and we had a great time. The beach is a 12 out of 10. The food was very good and the staff were great too. We did not spend any time at the pool so we cannot comment on that since the beach was so spectacular. Some drinks lacking for example no tomato juice for a bloody mary. Fantastic for the price ..!!

Every person that I met, that worked there was fantastic.. really relaxing, happy place The pool is awesome. The beach is amazing. The food was great. Great beer ..!!! Very standard, dated rooms, pretty much what I expected. Clean.

Fun in the sun!

Just returned from memories flamenco in Cayo coco Cuba! Jay with the entertainment group was amazing!! Beach was beautiful but the resort could use some updating! Thanks to Julie Bond from trip central for arranging another great vacation!!

Beautiful as always

This was my fourth time back to Memories Flamenco. I travel with a child (this time my son was six), and the beach is stunning for kids. Excellent sandcastle building sand, no rocks to cross before reaching water, literally walk down the boardwalk in bare feet to the sand and into the water. Four pools, two for young up to toddlers and then one for middle years kids and finally a deep pool mainly for adults. Food was Cuban standard, pretty bland, made to please the masses, not foodies, but a [... read more]lways a selection of hot and cold foods, waiters could be a little more attentive to empty water or drink glasses but I realize they are managing a lot of tables at once. Pool side entertainment was always lively and interactive, same with the kids mini disco and adult shows in the evening. Rooms could use updates but that is to be expected, otherwise they are clean, housekeeping is wonderful, grounds crew are great. About 20 minute bus ride from the airport to hotel so close by, location is directly on the beach so no hikes just to go to the water. Overall I give a great review of the hotel otherwise I wouldn’t keep going back, it is reliably beautiful and has not disappointed me on any trip

Another fabulous stay at Memories Flamenco Beach! Resort grounds are beautifully maintained. Beach is incredible. Staff are amazing! Food is great. This resort is beginning to show its age though. Beds are not very comfortable. Plumbing is a major issue. Public bathrooms at the grill closed the entire time which left pool bathrooms only! It was disgusting! Path lighting from the unit 4 and beyond non existent Time for an uplift for sure!

Perfect for the price

Perfect for the price. Heavenly beautiful, friendly staff, good food, peaceful environment, anything you expect for a vacation. We just lived the place. Highly recommended for whoever wants to relax.

Beautiful beach, amazing staff

This is my second time at this resort. The hotel was at capacity this time around which made for bit of inconvenience for room changes. Food was okay but that is to be expected in Cuba. Staff were amazing! grounds were immaculate! beach and pool were awesome. Id recommend. Planning to have our wedding here in January 2021 so hopefully it isn't as pack next time!

Cuban Beauty

This beach is amazing!!! We had the most breathtaking view. Oceanview room, block 4. The walks on the beach were very calming. You can walk forever it seems. The sand was white and the water so blue. The staff were warm and welcoming. I felt like I was continually making new friends. There was a huge selection of different drinks, and we tried our best to sample most of them ;) We found the food inconsistent for the most part, but there were some things we discovered we enjoyed, like the b [... read more]lack beans and fresh cheese. Yum yum! You won't go hungry, but if you're picky you may struggle. I would come here again in a heartbeat

Terrific resort!

This resort was beyond our expectations. Beautiful well maintained grounds, lots of entertainment, clean pools that were so inviting...lots of lounge chairs and the most friendly staff. The food was amazing...lots of variety and it was good! The beach had beautiful white sand and clear blue water. Wouldn't hestitate to return. 10 Day Getaway

My husband and I just returned from this resort Sunday. We stayed in the Diamond Club section. Our room was the nicest we have ever had as this was our third time to Cuba. We had the best view of the beautiful ocean, not to mention the two second access to the beach with the bar and the BBQ hut, also a bonus. However, we were not happy with the A La Cartes. The days we tried to eat there, they never had anything we wanted on the menu. We did find the buffet sufficient enough, we certainly didn't [... read more] go hungry. My husband was very happy with the variety of meat. Nothing comes out piping hot but we were just glad to not have to cook. The resort is well laid out and is the perfect size. The pools were the cleanest that we have seen as well. We found the staff to be very friendly, just lovely. All in all we would return to Memories Flemenco.

Absolutley amazing, Incredibly comfortable!

This resort is absolutely amazing , the entertainment is Impeccable and the people are absolutely beautiful souls! Favourite place in the world, beaches are beautiful and the resort is very clean! Always had a beautiful view from my room of the beautiful ocean! I would recommend this resort over and over again!

Mid-range, at best

Grounds were well laid out, and common areas were lovely. Rooms were ok, but bathroom, namely toilet, was terrible ( afraid to use toilet seat-not good!). Gave the impression that cleanup after hurricane was rushed? Public toilets were horrific. Buffet was way too small for the number of seats in dining room, and having staff to slice deli meat, cheese and fruit to order was a pointless waste of time- more staff for omelettes, pancakes, ala carte meat/fish etc would have made more sense. Never again

Memories was so much different then 5 years ago. The staff was rude and we had upgraded to Diamond club and paid the extra $ Our bed sheets smelled like mould. We Couldn’t even book à la cart for the first few days the diamond club restaurant was awful. The diamond club beach Loungers were broken. They ran out of food they ran out of ketchup, they ran out of french fries they ran out of hotdogs. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was where it was situated on the ocean. It was ve [... read more]ry disappointing my daughter had to sleep with a T-shirt over her pillow so she didn’t smell that dank smell. Everyone we spoke to was very disappointed with the hotel staff and the hotel amenities and the overall hotel Atmosphere. It’s unfortunate that the stop was overworked and they all seemed like the head of their life. Nobody was helpful and no one made us feel like our well earned money was put to good use

Best Resort in Cuba

Spent Christmas vacation at Memories Flamenco with the family and can’t wait till we go back. The staff at this resort make this place. As well as the most beautiful beach. The food is very good ,especially at the a la carte restaurants.
