An Adult Resort that gets you Dancing!

Great Resort! New clean and friendly service. The resort is the perfect size to spend a week. The SPA is an amazing building with great services. The pool is clean and there us always something going on. After lunch the DJ's start spinnning and the tunes keeps the atmosphere alive. The buffet has lots of selection and the restaurants have a menu that will have something for everyone. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The night life was great, always something going on around the pool area. The lobby bar closed to early leaving the only place to enjoy a drink was inside the "sports bar" disco.

Awesome Honeymoon!!!

Chic was very beautiful and brand new/modern. Great couples resort and perfect for our honeymoon! We would definitely recommend this resort to other couples. Great food and very friendly staff. Pools are very nice as well.

Wonderful !!

We loved everything about the Chic !! We picked this resort because it was on the smaller side which was perfect for us. The food at the buffet was ok. The Steakhouse was delish as well as the Sushi and the Italian - didn't care for the Moroccon. We spent most of the time on the beach - Rosemarie was delightful and took our drink orders everyday - the dirty monkey was the best ! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful we would definitely love to go back.

Modern and sleek resort

Small resort with about 300 rooms. Great food and service. Food was fresh even at the buffet, many options cooked in front of you!!! Great music, breezy weather and hot hot. Pool staff, pool wait staff and all bar staff were amazing.

A great vacation

My wife and I took this trip with another couple and I can say it was well worth the money, great service, great food, no reservations in the premium restrunts, lots of tiki huts on the beach to relax under, even had amazing bar service right on the beach, nothing but relaxation. You have to check out the private Cabana's in the pool area, for a little over a hundred dollars a day you can have a great place to relax with premium service, one cabana was plenty of room for two couples, bar fridge, [... read more] food, and bar service are brought right to the Cabana. The best part about these cabanas are the service staff working them, if you decide to get the Caban or even if you want a tour of them and the services offered ask for Algenis and/or Junior, these two guys really went out of there way to make our vacation a memorable one. A couple things that could use attention would be: - Bars running out of some fruits and liquors so some drinks weren't available all the time - The resort should invest in some sort of tractor or other device for raking the beach, the staf on the beach tried to keep up but there was allot of sea weed. - The "meeting" that they wanted to have was some sort of vacation resort time share setup, they convinced us to go with a $75 voucher for 90min of our time, it took almost 2 hours. I don't think this was anything to do with the resort, more of a private company offer.

Amazing Resort

We were welcomed with cool moist towels, wonderful. Check in was a breeze. A Rep. explained how things worked in our room and chocolate dipped strawberries and chilled champagne awaited us in room. The bed was very comfortable and large. Everything worked but TV satellite reception cut out sometimes for 20 - 30 seconds every 1-2 hours. Staff was very friendly. Buffet [... read more] was fresh and hot with 3 fresh cook to order areas. Fresh squeezed juices every AM with 8 - 10 different types each day. 4 A la Carte Restaurants with gourmet meals served. Service in Restaurants was inconsistent. Some days was exceptional others was only average. They did work on this and improved to very good to excellent by end of trip. Beach was nice sand but water unsafe to swim. Just a 10 minute walk up the beach was safe to swim though. Night life was quiet with some live and some DJ music. Sports bar with sports televised daily and music later PM for dancing. Lots of alcohol choices, but limited wine choices unless you pay extra, lots extra. Only full bottles were sold and at $65-$120 per bottle I found that excessive. The house wine was a nice French wine (red, white, rose). No hussling was done which we found welcoming. Only negative was the airport pick up going home. The time was moved up by 40 minutes on the day of without notifying anyone, then the other hotel we picked up guests we had to wait 30 - 35 minutes for missing people, probably due to change in time for them as well. Construction started next door for a new hotel part way through our stay and was noisy at times. I'd wait about a year for the construction to be completed before returning. We enjoyed the resort and will return.

Very CHIC resort with some issues

Resort is beautiful. The furnishings, rooms, décor, lighting...definitely a 5 star. Steak house and Italian as well as the Sushi bar for lunch (which is the best kept secret) is not Sushi for lunch rather offers some excellent amazing choices and we at there from mid week to end of week once we found out. Buffet was not the greatest. I've never gone to a resort (5 star) that serves up fish, dinner choices and pasta from the night before for breakfast. That was evident every day. Not good and mo [... read more]st complained that while the a la carte choices were good, buffet wasn't great. Massage at the beach...OMG fab! Met some really great people and that was great too. Didn't do any excursions but two couples we met did the dune buggy tour and loved it. The not so good: Pool music was pathetic. Volume up and down with no consistency at all in type of music. When it was good, it was good but often just a bad mix with repetitious songs over and over again. So many people complained but they just don't get it. There were no notices or boards at the lobby to tell you what type of entertainment (if any) on scheduled days so you were left wondering. The worse part of the trip...Their alcohol was beyond pathetic. Watered down drinks with already terrible booze. They had no top shelf alcohol (even in Diamond Club, they struggled to get a Corona). Corona wasn't available to anyone else. Service at the bar between beach and pool was awful. While many complained about the beach, yes, it's not pristine and has seaweed but it's nature and on that Atlantic side, the wind brings it all in. Sunwing - Not sure we will book with them again. We weren't over on the luggage in Toronto and checked the scales. Brought home less and they nailed us at the PC airport for $60 of 'overage' charges. I was so mad. They've done this before and I am so done with Sunwing. Net/net, we had a great time and vacations are all in what you make of it.

Clean but lacking

We were very impressed on how clean it was and how hard they work to keep it clean. We didn't fin that there were enough restaurants. Entertainment was lacking also. Music around pool was very loud and young. We really liked Luis, the one in charge of activities. He was awesome. Everybody was very friendly.

Diamond disappointment

We originally arrived at the airport at 6:00 am to be told our 9:00 am flight has been delayed until 3:15pm. We could not leave as we had just paid $100.00 for a week of parking and were told there are no in and out privileges, and SunWing would not reimburse us for parking if we left and came back. We were each given a $15.00 meal voucher. This didn't even cover our airport breakfast. At 12:00 we were forced to go through security after the ticket agent ensured/promised us that the flight woul [... read more]d not be delayed further and it was on time. I had questioned the SunWing agent four times if the flight was delayed further as it was not on the board. She promised me it want. As soon as we passed through security we were notified the flight is now delayed until 4:30. We missed an entire day of our vacation that we had paid $5200.00 for. Not a good start. Once we arrived at the hotel at 1:00 am, almost 12 hours past our expected arrival time, we were quickly ushered to our room and were provided zero information about the diamond club benefits. The rest of the week we didn't see our "butler" once, when were never given premium alcohol and our restaurant reservations were only honored half the time. Unless you more than generously tipped the Diamond Club bartender you received local vodka and beer. We watched those that tipped $5 and more per drink receive Grey Goose and Carona. We literally saw not one benefit to having paid an additional $1000.00 for the Diamond club. The good: Food: Buffet was good. Healthy options. Morrocan restaurant was very tasty. Room: the room was always clean and the fridge restocked daily Beach: the beach had ample room and palapas, although you do need to be up by 7:00 to get one. Grounds: the hotel is beautiful and well laid out, the casino was fun. Over all, if the service was not deplorable, I would have gone back. But this was simply not the case. I will never travel by SunWing again and will never visit CHIC again as a diamond member.

Awsome Resort !!!!

Hotel was very clean overall including the washroon around the resort, a la cartes were all good,steak cooked spot on, some of the best sushi i have ever had. Buffet had a lot choices. pool area was very nice and afternoon entertainment was good.

Nice facilities, Bad location

The resort itself is beautiful, but the beach & ocean not so much. The beach is ok. It's not white sand and it isn't big. The water is not your typical blue or turquoise colour and it's rough. Red flag days are the norm at this resort. Food is great, staff is great. The big negative is the timeshare pitch from the staff. They are relentless and it gets to be annoying after awhile. Loud music around the pool in the aft makes for a less than restful and peaceful environment.

Wonderful Hotel

Nothing better than this hotel. If you really want a good place, good services here it is the one. I stayed for 4 days, it was short. And now I look forward to come back here again. Love, miss all people there. Everything was clean, nice, friendly and all their smile, very very very kindly

Good resort

Hotel was clean, rooms were small. the beach area was not good, piles of seaweed that were removed buy a shovel, could have been cleaner. Not enough chairs at beach, or around the pool. The food at this resort was great.

Nice small resort

Beautiful resort. Staff are really enthusiastic and accommodating.
