Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort , but there are some points that need close attention ?

This resort is very nice and still has the new atmosphere. However there were a few issues that prevented us from having a great trip like we had our hearts set on. 1. We had some issues with food that we addressed . Attention to it was fair but not to any scene of urgency until we pushed the issue.. 2. Bad rain storm caused flooding in rooms ,facilities.Also contaminated pools and part of the beach washed away made for not a great vacation. . 3. The employees at the resort were very nice  [... read more]and helpful, did their best despite the language barrier with many, who found it difficult to communicate. More training would be recommended on this for sure.. 4. I rated three as fair below due to the food issues, and the problems due to the storm that maybe some should not have happened and had a negative effect on about half of our vacation that had a premium price tag on it. 5. Some entertainment was great , other shows were ok. . I know the resort is new and still getting things at hand but first impressions are lasting and many times if not up to par don't promote referrals to others to entice them to visit a particular resort. 6. We had problems with the shower in our room that wasn't attended to until after bringing it up many times. /> 7. I would say a definite yes to a recommendation if the above concerns were addressed and action taken where control is possible, really it is a yes but!!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Asbolutely fantastic!!!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here the end of April and had the most amazing time. The staff were so entertaining and nice and friendly. This resort is very clean and beautiful and brand new. We had a gorgeous suite and many different swimming pools to enjoy. There were many delicious choices for food and drinks. The resort was clean, modern and beautiful! The perfect size for families! Loved the kids pool with the view of the ocean! Staff was amazing, entertainment was incredible! Food was decent. We will definitely be back!

Now Garden Punta Cana: nice resort

swim out good and private nice for relax, grill by the pool, restaurant, one near by include buffet and a la carte at night, for other restaurant you have to go to Now Larimar near by and have to go trough Now Larimar to go to that pool and beach area

I have to say that everyone treated us very well here and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The room had a great sea view and the weather was just great! Cleanliness and comfort was excellent. Service was exceptional!!! I will definitely be back to this place :)

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

What a beautiful hotel! There is always something going on, weather it's a reggae party on the beach to bbq's for lunch with events, they sure go all out. Great entertainment every night as well. Rooms were a great size and we had a beautiful ocean view room. I enjoyed listening to the waves every night. We also took advantage of the golf and played 3 rounds at Vista Vallarta and 1 at Marina Golf Course. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Looking forward to returning.

Luxurious hotel that offered quality service. All employees were fantastic, they went above and beyond to make sure you were well taken care of. One of the best all-inclusive experience. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Now Onyx Punta Cana - AWESOME resort!

This resort exceeded expectations, we would highly recommend (but kinda' don't want to only because we'd like to keep the secret so that their future prices don't go up! lol) - We stayed as a couple in our early-40's. - Food was excellent, including the buffet....didn't have a bad meal. They even had healthy/natural options which was great! - Room was great...spacious & well designed. We elected for the "preferred club swim-out king" and it was perfectly located. "Preferred Club" was well  [... read more]worth the extra money; waiters were in abundance throughout the day, never went more than 10-15 mins. without a someone checking with us. Cleaning staff came around twice daily (I think due to being preferred club) which was great + a separate beverage service to fill up our mini-fridge and/or any other beverages we wanted. One of the best perks was the Preferred Club Lounges which not only had top shelf liquor but also had food/munchies morning to night. The P-C Lounge also enabled us to check out privately which went extremely smoothly. - Service all-around was OUTSTANDING @this resort.....from our butler, Manuel (who was awesome), to the Preferred Club Lounge bartenders & Concierges...and also the wait staff around the pools + on the beach. - The beach was amazing - MUCH better than Bavaro Beach - and not nearly as busy. We walked it every day, sometimes twice! We would definitely recommend this resort - easily the best resort we've stayed at thus far! Now Garden Punta Cana: Now Garden

My wife and I traveled to Punta Cana at the end of March. The Hotel , food , staff were great the beach was second to none. Now that being said we did something we would never do twice ( Parasailing) we booked our trip through one of the hotel staff J.J he told us he had a guy. JJ was a nice guy so we paid him the $100.00 US dollars. On the boat as we were getting ready one of the hands said for 50.00 he would give us a disc with 45 pictures of our experience. We booked Now Garden with Victoria from Trip central. When we booked we asked that our hotel be beach front. She pointed us out to Now Garden and when asked if it was beach front she said yes its on the beach. To our surprise once we got there, the hotel was not on the beach it was behind another hotel called Now Larimar, it was a 5min golf cart ride to the beach. I normally always book directly via online. And after this experience i can say i will continue to book directly online. I will no longer book with trip central. I felt this was bad customer service, she told us what we wanted to hear. So she could sell the tickets. She didn't care one bit about what we voiced. It's there lost as we normally travel 2-3times a year. Another think was our tickets came with the names all wrong. Evrn after asking for it to get fixed they forgot to fully change my husbands which created abit of an issue at the airport. We didnt notice as when we saw mine and my daughters fixed we thought all was good. Now Larimar was a bigger hotel they are both owbed by same company. Food was not the best, and we found alot of dirty cups and plates. Pp that worked there lacked enjoyment in their work. The hotel had different areas for prestige people which they keep trying to sell it to you at all cost. They olny had 1 pool for everyone and then 2 pools and and a beach restaurant for prestige. Didn't really like this concept. It made it hard to enjoy as everything u wanted to do you needed to pay extra for.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Great Resort

We ( myself, my husband, my son age 12 and my daughter age 6) had a great time here. We spent our full week on the resort. While the resort was not large there was lots to do. My family loves the water and spent a great deal of time in the pools and at the beach. My son played basketball, tennis, played pool and joined in events on the beach (egg toss Olympics). One place we couldn't keep them away from was the ice cream parlour. They also loved climbing the floating wall in the pool. We ate well the staff were great especially the ladies in the Explorers club . We had a swim out room, our own little pool. and it was nice to relax around either before we went to the main pool or after our day at the main pool. My husband and I loved spending time as a family and playing and watching our kids enjoy themselves. We also relaxed while laying by the pool. There is a great adult only preferred pool/ area which looks amazing and i would love to try. Would I go there again? Absolutely!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Loved every minute of it!

Brand new resort, so the vegetation hasn't had a lot of time to grow, but you could see it will be fabulous in a short time. The room, grounds and beach were awesome. We were there with my sister and husband, we enjoyed each and every meal. Most were to die for, with a couple that we found just good. We shared a taste of each others meals at each dinner, so this is a group opinion.Having access to Breathless next door was great, we ate dinner there one night. the food was was great there as well [... read more]. We took turns as couples to walk through dreams next door which was a well established resort with fantastic foliage. Now for the staff, they were plentiful, attentive and eager to please. Special mention to Darma Powers at breakfast and dinners. Estaban in the breakfast buffet was an absolute hoot! The serving staff on the beach was close to annoying with their regularity. LOL! Lets just say that we never had to wait more than a few minutes to order a drink. Make sure you are aware of the sliding wall in your room, when you close it at night, it keeps out entire hallway noise of slamming doors or cleaning staff in the morning. This was not a "party" resort, there were a few children around, but we didn't find then intrusive at all. Enough entertainment to keep you occupied, dancing in the courtyard starting about 10:30 after the show, the activity staff kept everyone going through the day and into the night. If you want to party all night, a 7 minute walk next door to Breathless takes you there. As you can tell, this reviewer had a great time, would recommend it to anyone that wants a blend of relaxation with activities. :)

Everything about this resort is amazing, from the staff, the room, the beach, the food, the drinks. Your drinks are served to you on the beach by super people. Thank you Jesus and Gabriela for never allowing us to be without a drink. The rooms are cleaned daily, the mini bar replenished, nightly entertainment was good.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Friendly Resort

The Now Jade Riviera lived up to everything I had expected. The junior suites were clean and up to date. We stayed in building 2 on the non preferred side and had a third floor room with a comfortable balcony and nice view above the trees. We did not use the pool because we spent most of the time on the beach. The beach was nice though a bit seaweedy, but it was cleaned off daily. There were a lot of rocks in the water In front of the resort so we walked a short distance to the beach in front o [... read more]f the adjoining resort when we wanted to swim in order to avoid stepping on rocks in the water. This was not as arduous as it sounds. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Do take lots of small bills to tip the staff. We planned one day trip off the resort to Mayan ruins and snorkelling. Unfortunately I was unable to go on this trip because I was suffering from a severe case of suspected food borne illness (cramping, vomiting, diarrhea and fever) on our fourth day at the resort. They would not refund my money for the day trip. The resort did take down the particulars of my illness when my husband went to tell them at the front desk, but no one made any effort to follow up with me to see how I was doing, nor did they send someone to clean up as promised (garbage cans and toilet - I mean I was truly severely ill) despite my husband requesting this and leaving a substantial tip. My husband and children were fortunately not affected and went on the day trip while I suffered in our room. This is the only negative experience I had - almost 48 hours of being severely ill. I had been drinking and eating very moderately and used only bottled water to brush my teeth - and all our food was from the resort - so at least an acknowledgement of my situation by the resort would have been nice. And the loss of the $103US for my share of the day trip which was booked at the resort was also disappointing. I am thankful that I recovered before having to fly home because flying in that condition would have been impossible. Other than my illness and the disappointing response to that, everything else at the resort was as we had hoped and a very pleasant experience and the staff in the restaurants provided very good service.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: this was one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at

everything was perfect from staff to the hotel room.the grounds were beautiful and always clean.the entertainment in the lobby area was nice touch in the evenings when person could wind down and relax.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Great getaway on Bavaro Beach

Smaller, comfortable resort for Punta Cana. Shuttle is 30 mins from airport, check in/out no issues. Direct on a very wide and long stretch of Bavaro which makes those who enjoy long walks a pleasure. Rooms were nice, beds are very comfortable (our room had 1 king), fridge is restocked each day. Hotel staff are some of the most pleasant we have encountered; always smiling and willing to assist. Grounds are well kept and clean. A la carte restaurants offered something for everyone's tastes and do [... read more] not require a reservation which is a big bonus (only need to reserve the Japanese Tepanyaki at Spice. Our only issues were the house wine which is not very good (premium brands offered from $30-100US) and beach towels had to be out in a cabana by 7:30 am or you are out of luck for shade. Didn't use the pool areas often, we're beach bums.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!

We love the Now Larimar! This was our second stay at this hotel (Mar 4-11). The staff were so friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded to preferred as it was our second time and they had a fruit platter and bottle of champagne for us. A banner on the door "Welcome back" and since my birthday was during our stay they added another banner "Happy Birthday" with balloons on the door and in our room with an amazing chocolate cake!!! Especially Sexy Chocolate!! (hee hee!!) he was our favorite. The one thing that we did not care for was the Unlimited Vacations presentation. They say it's only 90 mins and then if you are not interested no problem. The entice you to attend with a free massage and gifts. However it lasts 3hrs!! They don't tell you at the start how much the unlimited vacations will cost you. They save that til the end...and it's expensive. They ask for a $5000 downpayment and want you to put it on your visa cause it gives you more priviliges. It's not worth it!!!! My husband was so annoyed that we got sucked in. The hotel should step in and limit this. This was the only fault we found with the hotel. The free gifts are not worth the trouble and you still have to pay something!!

Now Garden Punta Cana: Love this resort❤️

We stayed at Now Garden. Very small and quiet but great food and staff all were very nice. Took 1 minute shuttle over to Larimar for beach and restaurants. Food was amazing at these restaurants and like that you don't have to have reservations. Only thing we didn't like were the exclusive members approach. Didn't know anything about it and were kicked off beach the first day we were there as you have to be a member. We moved 10 feet down the beach. This was a joke. Hotel,grounds,food,drinks and staff all great. Hotel and resort very clean highly recommended. I think this is a great deal for the money. Beaches are very nice some seaweed but cleaned up daily. Plenty of towels no deposit necessary
