Pullman

As for the resort its beautiful, beach also beautiful, rooms are clean!! Most of the staff are friendly some should definitely smile more!! As for food it sucks big time!! Not too much variety and always the same day after day. But other then the food we really enjoyed our holiday at Pullman!!

Big Resort

Staff - Great, Rooms - Great, Public Areas and Grounds very good. Bug spraying in evening not good while people walking around or sitting. Beach - Great, Dining (Buffet) like a cafeteria, very loud same food every day. Last two days at resort they ran out of tonic water and club soda.

Nice resort, but......

On the positive side: nice, new hotel, clean rooms (thanks to our wonderful maid Maria) nice beach and pools quite a wide selection of dishes and drinks at the main buffet restaurant very good pre-show concerts Now the negatives: few dishes were labelled so it was hard to know what they were in many cases there were no plates to put serving utensils on so they ended up in the bowls/on plates filled with food (major risk of contamination) simply horrible tea and coffee NO t [... read more]ea or coffee at the a la carte restaurants (!!!) no sparkling water available next to none service at the main lobby in the morning (didn't go there at other times so wouldn't know) an endless line up at the counter and "dazed and confused" looking waitresses who seemed not to know why they were there never came to the table unless called staff drinking hard liquor on the job not even trying to hide the fact (coconut guys, beach bar), some visibly impaired swimming pools closing ridiculously early I do appreciate the concern for the guests' safety and do understand that people should not be in those pools after dark but there was no reason to kick people out at 6 pm when it was still bright until almost 8 pm The pool guy and the security seemed to have different standards for the local people who could splash in the pool well after the closing (Friday night before Alain Perez's Saturday night show) and the "regular" guests. I believe that they should be reminded that their job is to protect the guests and make their stay at the hotel enjoyable rather than to harass them. the grounds need major work the wake up call we requested never came Your survey shows the beach and the pools as one item! The beach would be getting 5 and the pools 3 (too noisy, very loud music, people soaking and drinking in the middle of the pool making it impossible to swim for others)

Excellent amazing pool activities especially the girl Annie and. Kalyer mathers and the food at the Buffer. The Italian Resturant was amazing Can the Resort monitor the. Snack Bar at night for the clean ness and the cooking temp the the. Pizza not cook well

Wow

The Pullman was an amazing resort. ALL the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the variety was surprising. As for the beach....absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!

Excellent resort

Pullman at cayo coco is a great overall resort, the staff was very friendly and polite. Very family friendly, single adults would enjoy it as well. The pools and beach area are top notch. The bus ride from the airport is so quick and convenient.

Beautiful resort

Very nice resort....upscale. Some rooms were recently renovated so they look new, whiles some rooms are still there from the start of the resort. Food was ok. The place is always clean. Beach is beautiful and people are great.

An average hotel in Cayo Coco

3rd visit to Cayo Coco, first time to Pullman. Very close to airport so that is a bonus. The beach is great for swimming and walking and lots of shade areas and loungers usually available. Staff were all very good, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and the king size bed was as well. Food was average, nothing amazing but always something to eat. Nutritious comes to mind. As usual my staples were eggs, fruit bread, cheese, and rice and beans. Pools were not really for swimming but for tanning and just splashing around. The resort has a nice family vibe with a good mix of ages and nationalities. As was expected there were lots of little things one sees in Cuba, like broken fixtures, leaky showers, half finished projects etc. but nothing to really complain about. It rained moderately on one afternoon and the main buffet restaurant floor flooded. The staff worked diligently to dry it up prior to supper seating. Not sure why it leaked but if the rain had come later in the afternoon there may have been an issue getting the buffet cleaned up in time or perhaps it might have stayed closed? The first 6 days were constantly windy so there were no mosquitoes but once the wind died they were everywhere. We were not overly bothered by heir bites other than the concerns of mosquito borne viruses. Value wise we paid 45% more than our trip to Pestana Cayo Coco in 2017 and expected a higher level of refinement. I did not feel that the extra 45% cost had any value and would not return for this reason. One of our party became quite ill on day 5 but fortunately we had packed Cipro and two 500 mg doses sdeemed to cure the symptoms. Not a lot to do on Cayo Coco, recommend the Catamaran tour to the coral reefs, an island and submerged sandbar. Wonderful crew, meals and snorkelling. In fact the fresh lunch the crew prepared on board the boat was the highlight of our cuisine experience.

Look elsewhere

My wife and I initially booked into the Collection section of the hotel, but due to the hotel overbooking we were bumped into a deluxe oceanview room. The tripcentral rep was fantastic working with us to get through it. What a mistake to not take the initial offer of a full refund and use it to book somewhere else. We ended up stuck in a room with 2 double beds for the first 7 of our 10 day vacation. The beds were the worst I have ever slept on. We managed to get moved to a room with a king s [... read more]ize at the end, but the damage was done to our vacation. Rock-solid double beds do not make for a romantic vacation. Moreover, we repeatedly saw other couples check in and immediately return in anger about double beds instead of king. The oceanview was from the balcony only in our first room. We'd expected people smoking from previous experience at southern resorts, but nothing to this level. The beach was beautiful, but access was roundabout, with no bathrooms in proximity. The pools were mostly very shallow. Their nightly entertainment schedule was up in the air, with things seemingly being shuffled at the last minute. One show was great and well performed, another was a cacophony of noise and drove people away in short order. Buffet disappointing without much selection. Cooked to order available, but long lines. Good food from the beach bars, but understaffed and open short times. A la carte restaurants were ok at best, though the ambience at the French restaurant was nice.

Great resort

The entertainment at this resort was wonderful. Lots of excellent dancers and musicians performing throughout the evening in the lobby main theatre and piano bar. Japanese restaurant and Cuban a la carte restaurant were really good. Nice to have wifi available for one peso per hour. Definitely good value for such a nice resort

No complaints except one minor thing

Loved the resort from the grounds to the staff. Food was good, lots of different snack bars during the day, awesome beach. Would definitely recommend this as a great family resort with kids. Not to mention the ride from the airport is short - 15 min. Only complaint we had and it’s not major are the beds - very hard.

Disappointed

The hotel lobby was stunning and that's about it ! Bloody Kleenex left in our room. Spare blanket filthy drity. Toilet didn't work. No hot water for 2 days. Tables,coutlrey, plates and glasses dirty all the time. Ran out of diet pop then reg.we ended up having to buy our own. Water down booze. Charged my daughter 50 pessos to extend her wheelchair room cause the courtesy one wasn't accessible. Staff not helpful.

Good Time at resort

Thought the resort was very clean and staff were quite friendly. Would definitely go back and it is worth the extra money. Beach was quite nice with good access to shade areas. Would strongly suggest to the resort that they build more shade areas around the pool area as we all know how punishing the sun can get there. There just aren't enough. Gourmet restaurant for 10 pesos each was also good, a big step up from the a la cartes for sure. The salmon fillet they cooked there I would have paid $25 for in any Canadian restaurant, awesome. Nice rooms and good maid service. Overall, a wonderful week for us.

Wonderful relaxing vacation!

Our family of four went to the Pullman Cayo Coco for March break. We had never been to Cuba before and we just loved it! The resort was beautiful and well kept, rooms clean, beds comfy. The pool areas and beach were beautiful. The staff were all very friendly, especially the entertainment staff : Richard, Betty, Charlie, Jeiny, Adrian and Pittbull. There was music everywhere, shows in the theatre, singers in the restaurants, bands playing in the lobby and by the pool - we just loved all th [... read more]e music! We have been to Mexico and The Dominican Republic before and this was our favourite vacation! It felt very safe and very relaxing. We plan to return to the Pullman Cayo Coco in future! :)

Poor poor poor service

Hotel has issues with block 33. Stay away from block 33 at all cost. We were treated poorly after we complained about cold showers. We have two kids that had cold showers all week.We were promised that the hot water would be fixed. Never happened. Front desk and customer service did not care about us and did not even try to make us happy. We asked to move rooms but they did not want us to move rooms. It was not a good March break at all. Great resort was impressed 👍

For Cuba standard this resort was the best I have ever stayed at. Gorgeous lobby and grounds and the beach was wonderful. I was also pleasantly surprised by the food and the French restaurant was excellent!

Great resort!

We stayed at Pullman Cayo Coco from Mar 3 to Mar 12, 2019. The hotel is great, almost new, the standard room is spacious, everything is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the food was pretty good, especially Japanese a la carte restaurant, Cuban restaurant and fish grill section at buffet main restaurant. All vegies and fruits were fresh. Animation team does amazing job, every night there is a new show, lots of good singers/ musical groups. There are even Spanish classes every day! I would definitely go back to Pullman Cayo Coco!

Pullman Cayo Coco

I hadn’t been to Cuba for 8 years and thought I would give it another try .I have to say The Pullman has won my heart .Small resort ,super friendly staff and food was great .I would go back in a heartbeat Always a spot at the beach without getting up at 6am to put towels down.No shortage of food choices (lots of fruit and veg) Beach was lovely

Pullman vacation

The food is excellent, very clean well kept hotel ! The beach is absolutely beautiful ! The staff in general are very friendly and the service very good, I would definitely go back to this resort and recommend it to my friends and family

Great resort, but our room had lot of issues

everything was just mind blowing except the room. Pools were clean, great beach and staff was super friendly. Our room was not properly maintained.....bathroom window was not closing properly, no exhaust fan in bathroom, fan was not working, bathroom faucets were falling off
