Great trip

Went with 4 friends and had a great time. Rooms, water, and the hotel are very clean, people are very nice as well. Enjoyed the restaurants as well as buffet. Slides were fun. Decent amount of walking which I didn’t mind at all

Best resort ever!

Ignore the negative reviews. They are just a bunch of miserable people who will never be satisfied. Great party resort with amazing entertainment, staff and food. Don’t. Miss the pool party if you end up going to this resort. The DJ killed it.

The best place been too.

The resort was amaizing. We had alot of fun. We enjoyed it. Definitely will return to Riu Republica for more adventure. Thank you Tripcentral for giving us a great price, with a big advise. Thank you Eva the travel agent. Who was wonderful and carrying all the way for us. Ofcourse most of the people will wright only positive experience with there vacation. But we will have to place a little of negative side. Sunwing did okay for us in the begging. But afterwords it turned around. The flight back [... read more] was not so great. Flight got delayed for over 12 hours. Had to stay in the resort. But. Sunwing fid pay for our extra day of vacation. But on the other side. When we have left to the airport from the resort. Our plane wasent in the airport. We had to wait for 5 more hours. Eventho. Once the plane have came at 5 in the morning. We had to sit in it for another hour in the heat. Whenever no conditioner was turnd on for our support of not getting over hot. The flight was not so good.. eventho. The trip was amaizing. I got 10/10 stars for Tripcentral and for Riu Republica Punta Cana. Thank you! Hopefully this review will help others. Or atleast someone will read it. Have a good day. And of you go to Riu. You wont regred it. Trust me on that. THANK YOU!

Great Travels

The hotel was amazing! and the staff was very friendly and offered spectacular service, I would definetly love to visit this resort again,it surpassed my expectations of a great vacation. Hope to travel back soon

Rui Republica

Had an amazing vacation at the Riu Republica. Would recommend this resort to friends and family. Great balance between partying and relaxing. Beach was incredible as well as the service. We can’t wait to go back next year

Good place for young people

We had a good time here, but it’s a party resort. You can find a quiet side too if you want to relax, the beach is amazing but a little bit wild. Food was okay, you can find something to eat. I’m Not sure I’d come back since I like the previous hotel we used more so probably I’ll use those hotels in the future.

Amazing resort!

The resort offerts tons of options for pools, restaurants and drinks! We had an amazing time and we received amazing service. We would definitely recommend it to our family and friends. The maids were great and the staff is very friendly and professional.

Fun resort

Big resort, Lots of restaurants and bars however I would bring my own liquor down ... they water down there liquor. At first arrival, our room was extremely hot (Ac was turned off), sheets were stained, found lots of hair on the bed/couch, found a roach/lizard in the room(this is kind of inevitable) but first impression was awful. We got our room switched; and the second room was much better from our last room (Pretty standard, nothing special). Food was good at the Italian restaurant and steak [... read more]house. Buffets were basic but better some days than others. Didn't get sick once, but we did avoid eating certain food (salads, fruit that didn't have a peel, raw veggies). Overall nice resort, most staff have trouble with English so there was a language barrier. Resort seems to be a destination for spring breakers, if your looking to party, it's the perfect resort.

Exceeded our expectations!!!!!

Our trip to Rui Republica Punta Cana was amazing! The staff was amazing and had no issue moving us closer to the beach right away as soon as we requested it. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was always friendly and willing to assist with any requests. There’s definitely no shortage of food or drink options. We can’t wait to go back ASAP!

Rui Republica

The hotel was very well kept! The beach was beautiful and always groomed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All restaurants were amazing but the spanish restaurant was very slow in getting the food out. There were a lot of activities to do and the staff were always encouraging you to get involved. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Just to warn you a lot of young adults like to go to this resort!

Great Resort

The resort, rooms, and buildings were spacious and clean. The food was very good with variety and options. The fitness center could be larger and have more equipment. Smoking should be prohibited anywhere that food is being served. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

A little dissapointment!

Well I expected more from the Rui, since I paid quite a bit more for this resort. The drinks were definitely watered down especially in my room. The food was good at the main Buffet but the ala carte was disappointing for me.... I wasn't expecting "buffet style" and the food was mediocre. I have had better service and just generally disappointed!

Nice resort.

The hotel is well laid out with nice grounds and very clean. Buffets were good but the a la cartes need more sit down meals instead of buffet styles. Servers were over the top at the buffets. Pools were laid out excellent giving everyone a choice for there needs. Rooms were clean and everything worked well but they were very plain. Beach was nice but could have a little more effort in the garbage pickup there was anything from condoms, chicken bones from the barbecue restaurant and small  [... read more]sticks to cigarette butts. We were disappointed in the evening shows, not much variety there.

Relaxing Vacation

We just got back from a friends vacation at the RIU Republica. We thought the resort was very good. We were a little skeptical after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, but our concerns were put to rest immediately after checking in. The staff were all very friendly and worked so hard. The grounds were immaculate, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I didn't have a problem with the food, there is more than enough variety to choose from, but if you are a foodie this is probably not th [... read more]e place for you. We must have stayed at the ideal time (April 15 - 22) because it was very quiet (not a lot of wild young adults). The pools are kept very clean and were a good temperature. You can walk for miles along the beach, and there are no rocks or even shells, you can walk barefoot without a problem. We never had a problem finding a chair at the pool or the beach. We would certainly return to this hotel.

Good resort

food was good but not too many options no reservations for all carts but they rushed you in and out.butler service at the pool with George was great service at bars was excellent.majority of staff not very friendly, maid service missed 2 days of service had to call desk to get rooms made even after tipping every day.

3.5 to 4 star resort

Overall this was a nice resort; however given it was listed as a 5 star, we were expecting more. I've done a lot of travelling to Dominican as well as other places down south such as Mexico and Jamaica and the 4 stars I've stayed at were nicer than this 5 star. The resort felt quite small and although there were daily activities, they weren't listed anywhere so you only knew about them if you happened upon them. Originally our room was on the party side of the resort near the bar and we were not able to sleep our first night with the music and drunk people yelling down the halls at 3am. We asked to be moved to the quieter side of the resort and then we had a much better time. We very much appreciated their accommodation of this request. The service was excellent. Every staff member definitely cares you enjoy your stay and they go above and beyond. The food was pretty good but it was the same thing served for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day in the main buffets. Because some of the specialty restaurants were buffet style, there weren't many actually a la cartes to choose from. On the plus side the beach was beautiful, the pools were great, there were always lawn chairs to choose from, the resort was very clean and the rooms were well maintained.

Very nice resort!

Resort was very updated and clean! Beach was amazing! So much to do all the time! Food was excellent! Love the restaurants and that you don’t have to make reservations! Some staff could have been a little more friendly but all worked hard.

Great vacation, but...

Riu Republica is well managed. We had a good room, weather was great, walks on the beach were engaging. Restaurants and buffets, appetizing. My disapproval was in the size of the resort... and with the noisy boisterous pool sides and an overcrowded beach. What these huge resorts gain in size, they loose in privacy, exoticism and respect for nature. Is this the new trend in the Caribbean tourism? To replicate our city life in America. Hope not! Built side by side, with absolutely no natural space in between, there is no territory for nature and its species to grow and strive. By the way I have not seen many beach birds on the beach. I hope, wish, owners and their administrative staff would plan environmentally conscientious sites where architecture would blend with this unique and beautiful part of our world. Create smaller sites where we could live in harmony with nature.

Beautiful Resort!!

This resort is well laid out with short lovely walks to everywhere you need to go. Lots for everyone and every mood! Pools are second to none and so many! Bars are great as well as most drinks. Grounds are impeccable and rooms are chic and so clean. Maid did an incredible.job every day. No fancy towels or curtains even though I tipped here..haha that's ok. Buffets are awesome with lots to eat and never line ups for omelets or at bars for the most part. Beach was second to none and coco bar was  [... read more]so convenient as well. Loved the variety of pools depending on your mood! The only complaint is the a la carte service was not great and I like to be served not buffet for these specialty restaurants. We though this hotel was amazing overall. Grounds were immaculate. Pools very clean. Staff were attentive. Beach was amazing for long walks and views. Waves a bit much some days. Our room was always taken care of and mini bar replenished regularly. We would recommend to our friends. Great time in Punta Cana.
