Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

This place was absolutely gorgeous. It was so cool to wake up to peacocks in the garden, and enjoy the walk between the lobby and beach. The reason I am giving this place a 4 instead of 5 is that we found the quality of food and the service from staff a little inconsistent. We came in a group of 3 families, and 2 out of the 3 of us did not initially have the rooms we reserved available. This was corrected, but not until late into the second evening for the one room. One of rooms they were able t [... read more]o give us right away because they had a last minute cancellation, according to the concierge. I wouldn't have confidence knowing I'd get the correct room if I went back there. As for food, you could always find something delicious to eat, but you couldn't necessarily trust that one food, for instance the beans, would taste as delicious from one day to the next. Every meal was an adventure to find what was good that day, which we weren't upset about, but it should be a consideration if you are a fussy eater. Most of the staff were amazing here, however, at times, there were staff that made it clear we were more of a bother to them. It made it frustrating when we had to stand in line daily to get reservations at the restaurants, and we seemed to get different reasons and answers daily. These are small inconveniences, and if you can deal with that, I recommend this place for the value and absolute gorgeous grounds.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Absolutely a Beautiful resort

The grounds were absoltely amazing. Food was awesome. Rooms georgous, very comfortable beds. Showers are extremely slippery, no hand bars for support while showering. This is a huge resort, not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. A lot of walking. The trains that pick you up to take you throughout the resort are not very unreliable, therefore lots of walking to get to the buffet, your room, the pool and beach etc.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Amazing resort and location, but some areas can be improved

Close to the Punta Cana airport, 25 minutes, amazing location on Bavaro beach with white sand but seaweed can be cleaned up earlier in the morning. Rooms and venues are stunning and very eco friendly but they need to work on their options for people with allergies. Being Celiac, we been to many locations that really go over and above with Gluten Free options and labelling of options on their menus and buffets. They had only one option for Gluten Free bread which was a large sub size bun, and  [... read more]the few items that showed Allergens at the buffet did not match the items below? They do ask if you have any allegies at the restaurants and mark it off on a small little piece of paper but when you sit down to order the staff would see the small paper and many times completely disregarded until I would push it in front of them, and felt that the staff did not take it seriously, which it is. Don't get me wrong, the food was amazing, but I had to stick to items with no sauces and more on the plain side just to be safe. I asked frequently, but only had a few limited GF dessert options. Mainly fresh fruit, which was amazing though. We paid for Adults only Reserve Swim up and two times we came back from golfing to find people in our reserved chairs. It wasn't their fault as there are no signs to indicate "reserved". Definitely a 5* high end resort but little changes can make it even better!!!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful resort

Wife and I visited last week of Feb .first week of March 2024.We found the resort to be very nice, well maintained, people very friendly.. The first person we had contact with was the concierge (Carolina).Carolina could not do enough for us. Carolina was extremely helpful friendly and spoke very good English. Thank you Carolina.. There were a few problems however.. There was some confusion as to whether we could or could not go to the family side. We were told we could but, could not g [... read more]o to the restaurant or bar however if we were at the pool we could. We were premium not Level. My brother and his wife who joined us was told they could not go to the family side. This point should be communicated much better than it is, in fact it is even confusing on the web site. Main lobby was very beautiful however the furniture is not conducive to any person who has a back, leg problem as it is to low to the ground and to wide. The bar stools too high and backs to low very uncomfortable. I had to sit on retaining wall because of the furniture.. We thought the nightly entertainment was very enjoyable. Food ,itis buffet so different for everyone. We had no problem in that area except for the fact we had to almost beg to get a glass of ice water, coffee .or spoon. Getting wine was no problem at all... Housekeeping at least for us did an excellent job. Overall we had a great time, not sure we would go back but only because of the furniture in the lobby area We would recommend the resort but would tell people about the experiences we had.

Paradisus Cancun: Great, not a 5 star

The Paradisus Cancun has great common facilities, including buffet and exclusive restaurants. The beach is great, but found towels on almost every beach chairs without occupants. The attendant should remove towels unattended. Sometimes it’s annoying to find a spot on the beach. The resort has severe lack of evening entertainment/ activities. After 10-11pm, it’s seems dead - not expecting from such a great resort. The room is dated without all available facilities.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Clean, Zen, Quiet, Tropical Paradise Resort

This resort is a Tropical Paradise. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The lobby is stunning with fountains, water features and lots of greenery. A wonderful place to sit back, relax, enjoy the soft music and island breezes while sipping on a refreshing mojito. A place where we would frequent after dinner at the lobby bar. We stayed in the Premium Beach Side rooms building 6 a great location. Easy and quick access to the pool, beach and breakfast/lunch buffet area. Dinner is at the lobby a [... read more]rea a quick ride by trolley. We did NOT stay at the level of the resort and we were comfortable and very happy with our choice. This is our second visit here and we love it! The weather was perfect….beach and pool side area clean and inviting with plenty of seating in and out of the sun. Several palapas available. Pool temperature was perfect along with an awesome swim up bar with fun and friendly servers. The pool area is quiet, no music allowed and that was okay with me and my friends. A quiet enjoyable atmosphere. The food was good, always a choice of salads, several types of meats…burgers, wings, chicken, beef dishes, pasta, cheese, breads, just to mention a few….. you won’t leave hungry. Wine not that good. The rooms are comfortable and clean, plenty of hot water and towels. I recommended bring your own wash cloths these are limited. They supply body wash and shampoo. We would leave a note in the morning to replenish the fridge with water, juice and beer etc. always accommodating us. The main part of the resort is on the beach and fairly large, but don’t be intimidated, it is easy to navigate. A golf cart will take you around the resort and up to the lobby, they will stop and pick you up along the way. Overall I highly recommend this Adult only Wellness Resort. It is truly Paradise. If you are looking to kick back, no stress type holiday this is for you. With serene atmosphere to an abundance of activities and amenities and what ever tickles your fancy, they have it. Swimming pool exercises, volleyball , yoga or just walking the long stretch of beautiful Bavaro Beach….this resort gets my vote.Returning next year.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Holiday stay.

It is a beautiful resort with an amazing beach and ocean to swim in. The hotel and rooms are beautiful. Unfortunately we had the disappointment of not receiving the ocean front room we had booked in the adult reserve section of the hotel. They did not have a room for us and we were assigned a suite in the family section far away from friends we travelled with. The manager promised to upgrade our experience with perks but we never heard from him. We are to receive a refund for the room differen [... read more]ce but it certainly negatively impacted our experience at the resort. We also had no contact with the concierge appointed to us because we were in the family side. We were very disappointed. Our friends in the Reserve section had unlimited alcohol, charcuterie boards etc. We had none of this though we had paid for it. We felt secluded from our friends. It was not the vacation we thought we had booked!

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Resort lovely, dinners a disaster

The resort itself was very nice. It was well maintained and clean. The room was very comfortable. There were lots of seats around the pool and beach. The only problem was dinner. Booking for dinner started a 9 AM and you could only book 2 days in advance. However, at 9 AM you were always told the only time available was 9 PM. The food itself was ok. We had expect better quality.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Very Good could be better

Large beautiful rooms Great beach. Staff was amazing. Some of the friendliest we have had in our 30 years of going to the DR Only negative was the food Booking a restaurant had to be done in person. Since we were not Circle Members or Reserve Guests we had trouble getting spots and mostly ended up at the buffet. Buffet food was average at best

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Great Resort!!!

If you are looking for a very relaxing vacation I would definitely recommend the Melia Punta Cana Beach. I would also recommend upgrading to the Level section in the adults only. The proximity to the beach, the additional amenities as well as the breakfast, lunch and dinner A La Carte is definitely worth it.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful vacay!

The Melia Caribe Beach Resort exceeded my expectations on all levels. The beach, pool, and other amenities were all exceptional. The rooms were most acceptable as was the food - of course the bed wasn't my own, and buffets can get monotonous - but both were of excellent quality. The only thing I could suggest is perhaps they could have a small buffet section for kids - with much smaller hamburgers, fish sticks, chicken fingers/nuggets, veggie sticks, and orange mac and cheese (with maccaroni  [... read more]shaped pasta). To their credit, there was always a great selection of pizza which was popular with the kids. We travelled with young ones and a lot of food was wasted because the kids were a bit picky. As far as the adult food was concerned - the variety, selection, and quality was more than adequate, but in many cases wonderful. There was always a very wide and varied selection of very high quality food. And so many activities. I would highly recommend this resort and have already done so. I would rate the food and the rooms at 4.5 stars. The friendliness, efficiency, and helpfulness of the staff - all staff - would be rated in my books at 5 stars ++

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: I really enjoyed my time there.

I just returned from a week at Garden Suites by Melia. The tropical feel at this resort was so important to me before I booked and it exceeded my expectations. I see a lot of resorts with a sleek modern style that feel more like an airport than a resort. This resort wowed me with the room size. I had a swim out and the outdoor space was so large which made my vacation even better. I couldn't stop staring at the expansive grounds and the beach was just beautiful. Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Relaxing

Our concierge at the level Jose Minaya was very attentive and even bought me golf socks because I forgot them at home. The staff were nice. The breakfast at the level was the best sad if you love burgers, awesome ones at the beach. The resort is big but easy to maneuver plus they will pick you up with golf carts if you don’t want to walk to the main hotel. The beach is heaven. One issue is with other guests reserving spots at the pool and not coming back to use it and the same as at the beach.  [... read more]The towel but should only allow 2 towels a day do guests aren’t taking advantage. Other than having to get up at 6 am to make sure we got a spot by the pool or beach, stay was great.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Wonderful Spot!

The resort was fantastic! Beautiful rooms, pool, and beach. All of the food was fantastic, both the restaurants and the buffet. Loved the koi and the turtles in the main area of the resort. Both the family side and adults only side had tons of fun activities to go to. All the staff were kind and friendly. East walk to the town of Playa del Carmen but there was lots to do on the resort and we didn’t feel bored just staying there most days.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beaitiful Resort

Love the lay out of this resort. We stayed beachside and our walk to the beach was 4 mins. The lobby was further but was a good distance for a walk. We felt so safe on the resort and along the beach. The beach went on forever. We missed a day of our trip because of flight delays and airtransit staff were amazing. We are already talking about returning

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: A very comfortable resort for a family

We were part of a three-generation family holiday. The resort was great. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The rooms were large and comfortable. The grounds are a delight. The strongest aspect of the resort is the staff. They were efficient, helpful, very friendly and often doted on the young children. The only weak part was the food. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Good rooms, bad food, poor entertainment

We loved our room setup with having 2 kids. We had the family bunk bed room near the beach and pool. They did forget to make the beds some days or replace towels but otherwise they were spacious! The food was repetitive and cold. After day 4 I was looking forward to getting home to real food. The lack of entertainment in organized activity for kids lacked. Other a la carts were not great. Enough transportation carts to the lobby. Front lobby as not helpful with information for reservations, flight transportation or access to information.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: First Time Solo Resort

This was my first time going all inclusive and I was travelling solo. As a solo traveller what stood out were the events on offer, there was a busy calendar of activities ranging from craft workshops to yoga to rum tastings. These were a good opportunity to mingle with other guests and were always led by enthusiastic staff. The evening entertainment was a standout and featured talented musicians, dancers and singers. My room was spotless and had everything I expect from an excellent hotel room: a good shower, lots of amenities like a snack bar and coffee, an iron, a flat screen TV and good air conditioning. It was the in adult only portion of the hotel which I highly recommend because the pool here is exclusive to adults, has a bar inside it, and was honestly so nice that I barely ever went to the beach. The grounds are easily walkable, which I was told was a contrast to other resorts like Melia Gardens where you have to get shuttled everywhere on golf carts. The service was up and down, some experiences were wonderful and others were just fine. Basic Spanish is appreciated and tipping is required for better service, this cost me ~$100 CAD over the course of my 7 day stay but meant that I always had a good experience with the bar/restaurants/cleaning staff. If you don't want to tip that's fine but the resort will be full of Americans that are, so service will just be slower. The food was also variable, the buffet was consistently fine and food was hot/plentiful but quite basic. I tried all of the restaurants on the grounds and unsurprisingly the Mexican (Blue Agave) and Caribbean (Flora) were the best. The steakhouse (Mina) and the Italian (Mascalzone) were both mediocre. I didn't get to try Sante as it is for the premium guests only (~$120 CAD per day). Overall the value here is pretty good, I paid to feel safe and not have to think for 7 days and I got that experience. If you want to do anything beyond relaxing by the pool and some light partying then this is not the place for you. Bavaro is a walled off tourist enclave with no readily accessible local culture, and from what I was told it is easy to get taken advantage of when going on trips off site.

Paradisus Cancun: Phenomenal all inclusive resort

This hotel was fantastic, clean rooms, exceptional service on the grounds and in room. The food was amazing and the servers was amazing. The ocean was.so much fun. Overall one of my favorites so far and i have done a lot of travelling.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort. Service was up and down. Some servers were great others not so much. The biggest downfall were the dinners. The food at most of the restaurants was not great and not as good as other resorts that we have been to in the area. Fuego was by far the best restaurant but still a bit hit and miss. The menus sound good but the execution is surprisingly bad.
