Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort

Absolutely gorgeous and extensive property for this resort. Excellent food and friendly service and there is something for everyone. The best entertainment of any resort we have stayed at and it is great to have something to do all evening. The Imperial band was top notch as were all the entertainers. Nice beach for watching the ocean but too rough for swimming. I wish the gym was nicer (needs an air conditioned weight room with some decent exercise mats) and would have loved to enjoy the p [... read more]ing pong table but the location is too windy to be able to play. Overall a fantastic resort, wonderful friendly hard working staff and I would love to return here.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Wonderful Resort

We have stayed at resorts up and down the Riviera over the last 20 years and our 10 day stay at Ocean Coral and Turquesa was lovely. All the boxes we look for were checked, well maintained beach lovely for swimming, sunning and long walks. Solid dining with a buffet that was consistent and fresh and specialty restaurants that were equal to most good resorts, I enjoyed Blue Moon and Route 66. Surprises were the little unexpected toppings like an amazing piano player in the main lobby evenings or margarita night and martini night. we’re not usually one for shows, but really thought the ones we saw were well done. We happened to be there for Super Bowl and they had an amazing big screen set up in front of the ocean that will be quite memorable. We are a mature couple who were there Yeah, he’s with a brother and sister-in-law, but if you have young children, kids pool, water park and entertainment area looked absolutely stunning, and was very well maintained and supervised. All staff we encountered were attentive and looking to make our holiday enjoyable. No question we would return again

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Beautiful family resort

Beautiful family resort. Loved the lush surroundings and animals especially the monkeys.. Rooms in family section were clean, large and great setup with bunk beds for families. The water slide park was amazing able to accommodate all ages from toddlers through adults. The staff were friendly and accommodating. This is not the best place for anyone with mobility issues as no elevators and walkways are uneven. The food was mediocre. Riu Yucatan: Fantastic stay!

This was the first time staying at a Riu resort and I can definitely say I will be booking them from now on. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, fun and helpful. Special shout-out to Victor and Gustavo on the entertainment team and the pool bartending staff (Leo, Bryan and Santiago). Rooms were very clean and had no issues whatsoever. The air conditioning works great and it was a very comfortable sleep. It’s not a super quiet resort so if you are looking for relaxation only then it may not be for you but we really appreciated how many things were always going on because it felt like there was something for everyone. Overall we were incredibly happy with our stay at Riu Yucatan!

Selection Riviera Cancun: Excellent experience

We were very happy with the facilities the resort offered. If you like beach, then you will be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. The room was clean and service was great. However the main bed can be bigger, queen or king.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful over all

super nice hotel great beds in the room, great trips also phone and coffee machine a little outdated. So calling for room service was quite fuzzy all the pool and food were great ? don't expect to swim in the ocean there though .... very murky water. Beach and sand was wonderful tho.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resortse

Service was excellent Food was great Loved the room and private hot tub Lots of hot water Very clean Super staff! Only thing to get to the beach took at least 1/2 hour on the shuttle. Shuttle would do pick ups at 2 or 3 of the other locations. All four resorts shared one large beach area. Adult only had a specified area. Just need to factor in extra time to get to the beach and most of the a la carte restaurants.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Another great vacation

This resort is our go to vacation spot, we have been back many times and keep returning because of the staff and the way they make us feel like we are the most important people at the resort. The four (4) pools are clean with lots of room for guests, and nice place to relax. The main buffet restaurant is the best with a large number of choices, there is never a line up for food, The resort also gives you access to the a la carte restaurants at both the Sian Kaan and the Grand. We would recomme [... read more]nd this resort to anyone who wants and relaxing adult resort at a smaller venue with no line ups for food or drink. The only downside was the ride to and from the airport (via Air Transat), this was our first bad experience but was also our first-time flying Air Transat. The trip from the Airport to the resort was a confusing mess and when they finally put us in a van it was overcrowded with no air condition, it was a terrible 1 hr. and 20 min trip...the trip back to the airport was not much better and again they over packed the van with too many people....... next time we will spend the $200 and get a private ride to and from the resort.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great grounds, small beds and rooms.

Grounds and service was great. Beds and rooms were smaller than other all inclusive resorts we have been to. Rooms were not cleaned properly which is a shame as the shower had mold in the grout of the tile but when build was beautiful.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Wonderful Small Resort

Rooms were very nice and clean. Food was good, however buffet hot items often cold. Amenities were good for a small resort. Grounds keeping well maintained. On the downside, lots of areas in cement walkways, were cracked or elevated with potential to trip and fall. I did trip on one and stubbed my toe. Although there was a policy and note on all chairs saying you could not place items and reserve chairs, many people did so anyways resulting in never getting a lounge chair in the morning as  [... read more]towels were placed on them. This policy should be enforced by staff removing towels if no one on chair after 1/2 hour in morning. Also, one morning there were no clean pool towels resulting in many having to wait 20 minutes for a clean towel to arrive. There were no bars or ramps in pool to assist seniors walking into pool.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Amazing resort

Arrived, check in was quick.Check out took minutes. It was our second time at this resort.Dining and drinks were way above average. The hotel room was great ,grounds were beautiful,washrooms always spotless and the beach and pool area great. We had a wonderful trip.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Great Resort

We enjoyed the beautiful grounds whether sitting by the pool or on the beach. You can walk for kms on the beautiful beach. The food was good, the staff were friendly and the room was very clean. All in all a great vacation. Thank you.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Baha’i Principe Tulum

The hotel was very nice. The rooms we nicely renovated, clean and big The staff at the hotel were very nice and made sure everything was ok. The tours booked at the hotel were excellent and the shows were entertaining a 10/10 The best thing was we had access to Baha’i Coba a quick train ride away. It was nice to have the variety in restaurants and entertainment There were many pools to access and the beach was extremely nice and well groomed. The grounds were beautiful and there were s [... read more]mall wild animals running around that added smiles for all. We had no complaints while staying at this hotel.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Honest rebiew

This resort is better than the reviews you will read. I just returned from a fabulous week at this resort and everything was great. Food was good except the Mexican restaurant. Pool bars were excellent and the sky bar was amazing

Riu Lupita: Riu Lupita Playacar

A smaller scale hotel. Grounds were very nice and well kept. Our 4th Riu and everything one expects from them. Room was nice, Atmosphere was nice, service was very good. A more intimate setting which made for a relaxing getaway. Moises and the bar service was excellent. Buffet was first class with special mention to Marco and his crew in the mornings and Maria and her crew in the afternoon. It was easy to have fun with all the staff from Riga, who took care of our room to Olivia and others  [... read more]at the front desk. Activities group have a tougher task getting things going in a smaller venue but do a good job getting participation in spite of this. Special shoutout to José at the Beach Club. A bonus this time was the foreign exchange desk. Hassle free with great service taking away the headache of having to find a bank to get this done. Lastly the food and chef staff have not disappointed us yet at any Riu. Well done.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Great experience

The resort was very clean and maintained. Excellent service. Very close to 5th Avenue and other attractions. Food was good overall. The resort is an ideal size so walking to the rooms are nearby. Would recommend. The resort is almost on the beach, but is quite rough so I would not recommend swimming.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Typical large resort, beautiful grounds but food and service are lacking.

We came to this resort as another family member booked it. We booked a regular room and were hoping to upgrade or get a second room but we were told it was sold out and to come back few days later. We went back few days later but we could not be offered anything better or another room again. We might be spoiled but we found the food not very good, repetitive and not flavourful. We had to wait for 3 days to get our first a la carte which was essentially the same kitchen shared with the buffet [... read more]. The service was also lacking. We often came to the buffet an hour or so from opening. There was no cutlery on the tables and we had to wait for any type of service. Our highlight was our last a la carte at Italian restaurant Capri. Our waitress, Navitidad, provided the best service that we experienced at the resort. The beach was rocky and few members of our family hurt their toes. The best part of this resort are the beautiful grounds and activities. If you do not care for service, food, or ability to upgrade your room, go for it. We will be looking elsewhere for our vacation next year.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Amazing resort

The place is massive so make sure you bring some good walking shoes. The people (Staff) were extremely accommodating and pleasant all the time. We booked and went to the Capri, Santa Fa & Trattoria restaurants were all very good and included. We eat most breakfasts at the Mariachi snack bar. They (were near the pools and our room) and had an excellent assortment all was very good. Most evenings we went to Strikers bowling alley & bar the food there was also excellent! The staff was am [... read more]azing! There was not as big of an assortment as the Buffets, but still very good. During the day we spent @ poolside. You'll have to remember to get your towels out (on the loungers) early in the morning, but it seemed people did leave and there was usually a lounger or 2 to be found. People we talked to have been coming here and other Barcelo Resorts for years and love them. I would and have recommended this place to others. I'm SURE we will be back, if not to the Mayan Riviera to another Barcelo's resort

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

The Royalton is a large resort and the Hideaway is an all adult section within the resort which we enjoyed. The hideaway had an excellent pool area, restaurant and barbecue. One could stay there without going to the rest of the resort. The Royalton buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was extensive and excellent. The resort had 11 specialty restaurants that did not require reservations. Food choices were incredible. The beach was beautiful and the staff throughout the resort were very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent vacation. A special shout-out to Nicolle Kirk in arranging our trip.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: It was not a five star it was only a three star

When Allen and I arrive to the hotel little to our knowledge, they put us in a room beside garbage cans, and outside. Our room on the balcony was a dirty pool with garbage in it.. We went to the front desk to ask if we could be transferred into another room. We got told they would upgrade us for $200 more. Allen and I talked about it and when we went back now it was $1000 that we missed out that someone else took the room. We told them that we were not looking for an upgrade. We wanted another r [... read more]oom that did not smell of garbage. The floors were dirty in there. The doors were falling off the closets.. The next day they found us another room on the other side of the building. When we got to the room, it was in worst shape than the first one in the shower was falling apart. The doors were falling off on the cupboards was not a safe room to be in.. Went down and told him we were not accepting this room so I got asked to sign up confidential form, stating I would not sue them. Then they moved us over to where the kids side of the building. Never got much sleep over there at all. We finally got fed up and couldn’t wait to get home.. The day where you had to check out, we went down and asked what time to be at the front door to be taken to the airport. No one had any information we tried phoning our travel agent, but never answered his phone. We finally got a hold of somebody that gave us information and told us to be there at the front at 1:05..pm we were there waiting and finally it was getting late we asked again. They phoned to see where the bus was and we got told they were not coming that we were to pay for it and we would get reimbursed.. I have the copy of the signed confidential that they got me to sign. I also took photos if you wish to have them sorry to say I would not recommend this hotel to no one. They just tried to take your money.
