Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great family resort

This hotel was great for kids. It was very magical, castles had light shows, water park and pool activities were awesome. The small cafe by the water park pool has the best food for kids - fresh to order pizza and grilled cheese with ham, this is what my kids ate almost the whole time. If you check out in the app be cautious because you loose your wifi and if you didn’t write down your room number it can make check out stressful - the bell boy would not accept our email confirmation and wanted t [... read more]he room number which I had lost access to. The buffet gets a bit repetitive too and a lot of the pizza has corn on it so my kids were not a huge fan of the food. As adults I grew tired of it quickly too. And some of the al La cartes dont offer the kids menu but can give you plain noodles with butter - be careful of this. One has a little play area for kids that is fenced right beside it though - loved that! The entertainment staff for kids were amazing and had great energy. Over all we loved it here and would suggest it to any family with small kids.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Living the Dream

We had an amazing time at the Dreams Royal Beach Resort. The staff is extremely polite and welcoming. The amenities are very clean and it lacks for nothing. We had the chance to stay in the Preferred Club section and it was definitely a level of care and attention that we had not previously felt at other similar Caribbean resorts. The Preferred Club gives you the service of a dedicated butler and we were very well served by Natali who was attentive to all our requests during our stay. The server [... read more]s are extremely professional, special mention to Nelson M. and Leonardo for their attentive service and the magnificent Esteban at Asian Fusion. A last word on their 2 tennis pros, Francis and Marcos, they bring such enthusiasm to what they do and the clay courts are superb to play on. We would definitely come back, we felt right at home from the moment we walked in.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bahia principe punta cana no more!

I've been going to the DR Bahia Principe for years! I've stayed at the Ambar, Turkesa, Fantasia and now the Punta Cana and this last one NEVER again! Much lower quality of food and service that I'm used too at the Bahia! Buffet staff completely ignored us every meal although I had been tipping very well as usual! Not worth it at all!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Majestic Colonial

We loved this resort.The food was amazing.The entertainment was fantastic.The grounds were beautiful.The staff were all so friendly,and will go out of their way to please you.Our room was great with a comfy bed.The pool was gorgeous.Would definitely return to this resort.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Royalton Splash Punta cana

The Resort was great. Pools and beach were good. Clean sand and pools never felt full. The service for food was not good. Slow service for asking for a drink at the Selections buffet. You would just never get it. No cups to get you own drinks either. Was speaking to someone in at Hunter Start to find out the price for the meal and mid asking he answers his phone so we left without getting our information.. Expected more for the food and service. The worsted part out of staying there was 8 out of our 18 people fell sick to some sort of food poising. Very disappointing.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Jewel Palm Beach was excellent !

We were originally booked at Jewel Punta Cana. It was suddenly purchased, so we had the option to go here...glad we did ! The resort is just the right size, close to the beach, nothing is too far to walk to. The grounds are amazing and the people that work at this resort seem to always have a great smile ! Never felt uncomfortable with random locals at the resort ( Like I experienced at another resort ). Food and selection was excellent ! We have been to many, many all inclusive resorts in Cuba, [... read more] Cancun and the DR, before we left, we decided we will come back to the same place next year !

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great resort

The grounds at this resort were very well-maintained and beautiful. The rooms were big with double sinks in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and clean. I would definitely come back again. The staff is also amazing.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Wonderful resort, our third visit.

Very pleasant atmosphere where ever you were on the resort. Staff always cleaning in the buildings, doing care outside trimming shrubs raking the beach. Staff always friendly and happy to help. It was always service with a smile and they all too pride as they should in the service they offered.

Riu Bambu: Good resort

Rooms are spacious and kept clean. Food is good but most of the dishes very salty. Resort and pools are nice and maintained well. Bars were excellent. Some of the night entertainment was good.Meat dishes were tough and hard to eat. It would be good if the food could cut down the salt especially for people with health problems .

Ocean Blue and Sand: Falls a bit short

The grounds and buildings are well kept and the layout of the resort is good. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside, which has a lot to do with my age, was having to step into a large, defunct whirlpool tub to have a shower. We found the staff very courteous and helpful. Especially the front desk and the Customer Service people who went out of their way to assist us even with a couple of things that I am sure were beyond their 'scope of work'. We had trouble wit [... read more]h our safe (our fault) and a burned out bulb in the bathroom. Both issues were rapidly resolved. Unfortunately, the food did not measure up to the reviews although the selection and quality was good the preparation was not. They seem to have a problem keeping things warm and a great deal was very over-cooked and/or sat too long. The other downside was there were not enough beach or pool chairs. you would have to put your towels on by 6 to 6:30 am to get one and they didn't seem come available even later in the day. There are two things I would caution future Customers about. 1) The overly persistent people trying to get you to go to a time share meeting that has a high pressure sales team. 2) The Casino has a game which is illegal in most places that allow Casinos. It involves white balls that are rolled in a bowl that has numbered holes and a table with numbers etc. A fast talking employee gives you the impression that you will win big money. You can't win unless he were to let you, which he won't. Don't walk away from this game, RUN.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Beautiful Resort

Our room was huge spotless and located perfectly. The entire resort so clean. Workers were very friendly The food was plentiful and so good.We traveled with our 10 year old and she absolutely loved. Definitely a 5 star family resort

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: Fantastic resort

First off would like to thank Natasha Spencer from tripcentral.ca for all the pertinent information and guidance she offered for this trip, already mentioned to her that she will be my travel agent for a long time. Grand Bavaro Princess: Great Resort!

Very clean grounds, great landscaping, large resort with a trolley that circles the resort for rides to and from your room, beach, restaurant s etc. Rooms are clean and spacious with nice balconies. staff at the buffet were polite and attentive,

Riu Republica: Sub Par experience

The hotel of Riu Republica was generally satisfactory in most concerns a guest may have. Service in areas lacked and general maintenance of the resort was poorly maintained in spots. The staff was generally positive depending on which area or activity you we’re partaking in. Drinks also generally inconsistent on how strong or light they would be served.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Excellent accommodation and stay

Lovely hotel amenities- pool and beach beautiful and well kept- buffet food very good - we were 2 couples but saw many multi generational groups and we all were well fed and little to no delays- very limited seating at the specialty ‘a La carte’ restaurants- hotel very clean - nice extras of water bottles and flip flops - 24hr amazing coffee bar included- desserts were delicious- good trip ! Oh and if you like entertainment there were nightly offerings by talented enthusiastic staff.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Nice Resort--glad we went!

We travelled with another couple and had a bit of difficulty at the beginning with rooms that had poorly functioning air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The front desk staff was quick to resolve these issues by moving us to other rooms. There were several other maintenance problems which were also resolved quickly. In keeping with these difficulties, it should be noted that some parts of the resort need to be upgraded and have become 'well-used'. We enjoyed the pool and the beach area and although (as noted by other reviewers) it was necessary to 'save' lounges quite early in the morning (before 8:00am--so save your beach towels at the end of the day!) we were able to get 'choice' spots under cabanas. It is unfortunate that many people chose to save spots and then left them vacant for much of the day---not sure how to rectify this though. We were quite pleased with the variety and presentation at the 2 buffets and the waitstaff was excellent! However, 3 of the 4 a-la-cartes were somewhat disappointing in terms of choice and food quality. We were really pleased with Mikado restaurant--both the food quality and service. Also, we found the baristas (great specialty coffee shop!!), bartenders and servers to be extremely friendly and attentive. Our biggest disappointment with this trip was with the service provided by Nexus Tours (contracted by Trip Central) who were responsible for our transportation to and from the airport. We found the process to be unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. For example, when we arrived, we had difficulty finding the representative and then we were taken to the wrong bus. For the return trip to the airport, Nexus's on-site representative could not be found the day before departure to confirm a pick-up time. On the morning of our departure, we found the representative who at the time was dealing with someone about a refund for a missed excursion. After waiting some time, we asked if he could simply give the people waiting (there was a line-up by this point) the time our bus to the airport was leaving. He rudely told us 'No' that we would have to wait until he was done with the refund--which turned out to take in excess of 1 hour. A simple posted announcement or just providing the information we required would have minimized stress at the end of an otherwise pleasant vacation.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: A good place to take it easy

We stayed at the Catalonia Bavaro in Punta Cana. We went for 8 days, and had a great time. The staff was friendly, and the resort was well kept. We had some language barriers (which our booking agent mentioned at the time of the booking), so that proved a little more difficult than originally thought. We were able to communicate well enough, and the resort uses WhatsApp for all of their communication, which was very helpful. The food was good, but not out of this world. The rooms were nic [... read more]e, and the wifi was decent. We stayed on the family side which was nice. The only thing for us that we found frustrating was the room cleaning schedule and lack of fresh towels. We would leave at the same time daily when the cleaning staff arrived, and we would come back about 5-6 hours later only to be asked to leave our room so they could clean. Overall it's a nice place to go and honestly take in a week of sun.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful resort

We just got back from The Royalton Punta Cana. The resort is beautiful, service was very good and the food plentiful. We ate at many different restaurants over the week and enjoyed the Japanese one most! We had a very helpful butler Omar with the diamond club. He worked hard to get us reservations over the course of the week. Unfortunately two of us got sick during the week. More like a 24 hour bug but still no fun. Beach was lovely. Riu Bambu: Peaceful and relaxing

Just returned from the trip to Riu Bambu, Punta Cana. Overall it was very nice trip. Room was clean and staff lovely. Both Sunwing agents Jonathan and Raysa were very helpful and professional. Thanks to them, trip that started with some challenges turned in to relaxing vacation.
