Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: great location

the grounds were lovely, well maintained, pools terrific layout( quieter, adult area as well), buffet offered lots of choices .Wait staff friendly and accommodating. Oscar the bartender was awesome ! Dulce the waitress was as well. Rooms clean , shower basic- suggest they install grab bars for safety. It was very hot and humid when I was there so it took some time to cool the room off- ceiling fans would help. The only downside this visit was related to the inundation of kids and families for  [... read more]the soccer tournament( that occurs annually) which resulted in lots of noise, kids at the bar( soft drinks), lineups at dinner during the last 3days. They weren't bad it was just so noisy. Otherwise a good place to stay.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing resort that I wil go back to again and again

What we specifically like is that it is an in-expensive resort but still has multiple buildings, pools and restaurants. You don't get pool service or a fridge in your room, but we don't need that or want to pay for that. The grounds are cleaned frequently. Rooms are a decent size with all you could need including hairdryer, soaps etc. I like the yoga/stretch each morning at 9.00 on the beach. Quiet adult pool and several others for children and activities. Lots of lounge beds but need to b [... read more]uy an air mattress as they are not covered with a pad. May need to get up early to book off a palapa for shade though. Two stores on site plus a medical centre. We also like that we can walk to local shops or a 20-30 minute walk into Bucerias for some deals and meals. Free non motorized water sports. Great beach for walking on. Staff are very friendly and work hard to please you. We also like the guests here, they are more down-to-earth people and friendly. Men do not need to wear long pants and closed toe shoes to the a la carte restaurants (thank goodness). Still look nice in a shirt and nice shorts and sandals. The A la carte booking is only from 8-9 am till full and you can book for the day of and the next day. The line was a little long at times but worth it to go to the various restaurants. Two buffets are also available. We like going to the Royal Decameron.

Riu Vallarta: Beautiful beach & delicious food!!

This resort was overall a great place. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade. We had to switch because on the main level the room smelled very musky but when we went to the 4th floor all was good! There's wifi throughout the resort unless you're on a high floor. Food was amazing!!! The beach was breathtaking, but be careful because my friend stepped on a sting ray at night by accident and it cost her $400 for the medication to heal it. All around we had a great group vaca!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: stingray alert

Everything was great, except for the fact that I got stung by a stingray on the right big toe on the 3rd day. Was treated wonderfully, but after the first aid treatment, they demanded that I fork over $340 US for services rendered, even though I had purchased travel insurance prior to our trip. To make a long story short, the distinguished Manager of Guest Services actually threatened to call the authorities on us, as well as cancel our airline tickets and not allow us to check out of the hotel  [... read more]in a timely manner. They refused to deal with Air Transat insurance at all. Needless to say, We will never ever deal with that hotel again. Good way to do business and lose customers at the same time. Congratulations.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Awesome resort with wonderful guest to service ratio!

The View and exclusiveness of the resort was unparalleled. great open areas and many activities to choose from. lots of day trip opportunities as well from the location. if anything was questionable it would be the French restaurant and the room features. although the rooms were nice and clean they were less than a 5 star expectation. the rooms were just 'ok' in size and features. storage in the rooms was minimal and the bathroom was par only. overall the resort showed good value

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Clean Friendly Resort !

Stayed at the Buenaventura from Oct 16- 23rd. Hotel is clean, small, easy to get around. Food was always great, lots of selection and usually hotter than other hotels I've stayed at. Eduardo is an amazing server for around the pool and beach. Our stay was made more relaxing by his excellent service. It is still a good 5-10 minute walk to get down town but people need to realize that the Malecon is a mile long after you get there. There was construction going on at the hotel for the entire week we were there, no major amount of noise but some walkways were blocked so getting around was a bit more inconvenient. There were 3 weddings during the week we were there as well. The weddings didn't over take the whole resort but it did make some areas off limits for the week. The lounge chairs by the swing bar were my favorite place. They are suppose to be adults only but not all parents read the rules so kids did come in a few times. Over all this resort is very pleasant. I would stay here again but I would also stay at other resorts farther away from downtown if the price were the same or cheaper.

Hotel was clean, buffet wasn't very good, long lines for reservations for the al a carts. The grounds are well kept, rooms are nice and clean. Location is really handy to shopping, banking and restaurants. Would only go when the price is low.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: A great vacation at Now Amber Puerto Vallarta

We just got back from a weeks stay at the Now Amber Hotel. The hotel is extremely well kept, beautiful, clean and the staff are very professional and attentive. We stayed at the hotel a majority of our stay in Puerto Vallarta, as the kids really enjoyed the pools and beach. After a couple days of getting comfortable, it felt like home. There are lots of food options at the hotel including the Carnival buffet, An Italian, Asian-inspired, Mexican, and a Steakhouse. Our favorite was the It [... read more]alian restaurant. (Beef carpacio was the best part). All in all, the food was good, but nothing mind blowing. We usually didnt have any trouble getting seats. There was lots of activities at the resort that we used more so near the end of the week. Activites included: rifle shooting, volleyball, aerobics, yoga, kayaking, paddleboarding. There is a good kids club for the kids to particpate in many different types of activities daily. We got to participate in a baby turtle release during our stay as well. Great experience. The nightly shows were fun. My favorite was the Beatles show. As i mentioned earlier, the staff was great. The bartenders and servers were quick and remembered our names. The ladies at the coffee shop were very kind. The front desk staff helped me break down big bills in pesos down to smaller amounts for tipping. The cleaning crew did a nice job with our rooms daily. I definitely recommend this to families. If you want adults only, the partner hotel next door called Secrets is a good option too. You can go to any of the restaurants and shos between the two hotels.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Perfecto

Staff is incredible, great resort. Food is above average. Had a ocean view and was worth the money, resort views are amazing. The two different main pools were nice for variety. The ocean and ocean pool are nice, rooms are clean and stocked daily. The resort is currently under construction but is supposed to be done soon so it will be awesome. Lots of walking and stairs but knew that coming in. Nothing to complain about so that makes a wonderful trip. The staff is top notch and help make  [... read more]a good place great. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Colourful Resort

The Royal Decameron Complex was very warm and inviting with temps soaring to the 30's (Celsius) in early November. We enjoyed our stay. We found the service top notch, rooms and building bathrooms kept very clean. We were in room 1101 - don't book this room, It is directly beside the busiest/nosiest activities area. After one night we requested a room change, and the front office staff were able to get us moved over to complex 5, which was much more quiet. The food at the specialty restaurants i [... read more]s amazing, but the line up (sometimes as early as 5:30 am) was a challenge to be able to book into the restaurants for the evenings. It looks like this hotel is a favourite of many visiting locals, which meant more of the buffet food was catering to Mexican cuisine. Not bad if you like the food, but a bit of a challenge if you have trouble with spicy/ethnic food. The many pools were lovely, but as the week progressed, a couple became more and more dirty. Access to the beach is easy, and the bars are great with awesome service. Everyone worked hard to make our stay enjoyable.

Riu Flamingos: the resort is amazing and beautiful

the Riu Jalisco grounds are beautiful; the public areas are very good; the buffets are good and the ala carte restaurants were also good. The beach area was clean and good there was always a spot for people to sit at the beach. The rooms were clean but the aging of the hotel could be seen. The towels in the bathroom need to be replaced as they were rough and hard to the skin, also there was shortage of hand and face towels. Royal Suites Punta Mita: Great Vacation

Thank you tripcentral (Kelly) trip was wonderful everything went as planned resort was beautiful service top notch had a great time! Will definitely return . Renovations had no impact on our trip. Just very sad to know the Royal Suites is changing we loved it just the way it was.

It was an amazing trip, from booking to when we landed back in Toronto after the 7 days it was perfect! The best thing about this resort is the amount of people who go back year after year each stay longer! I will be returning next year for 10 days!! Canto Del Sol: AMAZING!!! All Around!!!

So much I would love to say about the resort...lovely workers all around. Always willing to go the extra mile for you. The food was good, the only thing that was repetitive was the buffet, thankfully there was other choices. The staff by the pool we so AMAZING!!! We have visited this resort over 15 times. Still great value. Management has been listening to requests. Most notably, drink glasses are much larger. Talked to management, and soon wifi will be available throughout the resort instead of just designated areas. The buffets have a bit too much Mexican cuisine, yet understandable as there are many Mexican guests at the resort. Booking a-la-cart restaurants is still an issue. The staff did an amazing job to keep the grounds neat and tidy, they went out of their way to please the people. The rooms get cleaned everyday and clean towels put in the bathroom. The beach🏖🏄‍♂️🏊‍♂️ was fantasic. The food is fabulous🍍🍌🍆🍦🥂🍹

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful resort in a lovely setting.

The staff were all exceptionally friendly. Everything was organized timeously. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything we requested was handled promptly. The pool area was lovely. The rooms were cleaned properly. There was food for all types of taste buds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Great hotel

Very good food, great staff with one exception, well looked after facilities, close to Bucerias, no tennis, generous drinks, weak entertainment, dated but clean rooms. Ancient windsurfing equipment, good catamarans, no paddle boarding

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good 3 Star Resort

We went down as a group and chose this resort because of the location and price. Very easy to walk around town and great beach. The rooms are clean, don’t expect anything fancy. The food is ok but with many top notch restaurants and bars in town we chose to eat out most nights. Great staff is the highlight of this resort. I would only suggest you choose this resort if you can get a package with flights under 1000 Canadian dollars.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great

Amazing time food was wonderful. The staff was great. We are going back. we had a great time over all. A beautiful view .from our room. our room was very clean very day just a wonderful place over all
