Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Relaxing Mayan Riviera Resort

With only one or two exceptions, the staff of the Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort were not only friendly, but very accommodating. The dining experience was very much above average, with a well stocked buffet experience and a few a la carte restaurants that strove to be exceptional and in fact were quite good. Sea turtles were abundant within a short swim. I would advise all those who do not want the around the pool party scene with really excessive volume to the music to request in advance a room in one of the two buildings not adjacent to the pool. Pools are not heated and chilly at first. Be aware that while elevators are planned, they are currently not available.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Ok resort, surround by gorgeous towns

Ground were very well kept. The food at the buffet wasn't the greatest and I'm far from a picky eater. The snack restaurant by the main pool had excellent food. The bars all only had one bottle of good liquor. Example: one bottle of tanqueray gin, once that was gone gin was dispensed out of a fountain pop dispenser and was terrible. We booked a one bed room, and when we arrived we had two beds in the room, they did fix this issue but we had to push for it. it was my first time on the west coast of Mexico and overall it is a beautiful area and we all had a great time, it's all about your attitude and even though the resort had some downfalls, it's all what you make. I wouldn't go back to that resort but would for sure visit the Los cobos area again.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great service and excellent restaurants.

The staff are really trying to make sure they live up to the new Don Pablo brand. Great service at all restaurants with only one exception (one dinner at the Italian Restaurant where service was very slow and inattentive) Our rooms was overlooking the beach in Akumel area and couldn't have been nicer.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Crown Paradise Club

The hotel, staff, entertainment & food were superb. One thing that really bothered me were the sales kiosks in the lobby. The constantly nagging sales people were more than annoying. Beach was great!!

El Cid Resort Castilla: Fun holiday.

We've been at the El Cid Resort before and so no great surprises. The overall of this resort is good. Had a few problems--- asked to have joining rooms or at least close to my daughters room. Yes they were in the same building but on two different levels. They weren't extremely far apart but the reason for asking to be near was that the grandchildren could go back and forth easily and we could see them without having to accompany them. A few doors apart would have been fine. One other thing was how people went out in the middle of the night and put towels on the chairs to reserve them and then didnt show up until noon to use them. The policy supposedly is half hour limit ............ but no enforcement whatsoever. They should mark the chairs and give them and hour then give them tickets or warnings like the two hour limits to free parking.!! Not sure I would go back to this hotel... The food , rooms and pool were good but....

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: We didn't get what we payed for.

Overall the resort is good. All the facilities, rooms, restaurants look good, new and clean. The problem is with the service. The front desk clerk was careless and rude. In the restaurants not enough stuff. We have been tald to wait an hour for Agave Restaurant and at the same time half of the seats were vacant. The food in Agave and the Japanese restaurant was auawful. In the Sports Bar I liked the service but not the food. Steak House was great. Mediterranean Restaurant was good. Tex Mex Resta [... read more]urant was also very good. The buffet was really good. The food there was always fresh and tasty. I loved the coffee shop. Rooms are really nice. We were very unfortunate to be in a room where renovation was going close by. 3 out of 7 days drilling and banging was our wake up alarm. Pools are nice and clean. Plenty of beach towels everywhere. It's a bit hard to find good spot around the pool unless if you trow a towel at 7-8 am and reserve your spot. Beach needs more cleaning. There was a lot of see weed on the beach and the sand was not really clean. Entertainment was ok. Every night there was a live band and some funny games. There is a disco as well. Another thing: It's great resort for those who go there with kids. It's good for couples... and... it's not for singles. We were 3 girls and it was kind of a boring when it comes to new friends and communication.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: What a Beautiful Huge Resort!

The resort was beautiful and so well kept, I've never seen such a clean place. Rooms were immaculate and fridge restocked. The staff were awesome and so friendly, especially the one bell hop named Alex (Alejandro) who found carts for us as much as possible and the lobby bartender Jose who remembered our drinks. The one day we waited over an hour to take the train to see the rest of the resort so we ended up giving up and felt we had wasted too much time doing nothing. This ended up being amusing though because then the following day, we swear they came every 5 seconds. Way too much walking. It didn't take long to get from our rooms at 45 block to the lobby, but to where all the action was, we felt we wasted too much time travelling, which took away from precious drinking time lol. From what we heard from other guests, the rooms in Colonial and Rivera Maya section weren't as nice which was also unfortunate because we would want to stay in that section next time since Kantenah had no entertainment. Everything happened at night in the lobbies at Colonial and Riviera or White Sands section so again you'd have to travel. The entertainment was awesome, so much fun!!! I didn’t have a chance to see the disco because I danced the night away in the lobbies. My husband got lost the first night coming home from the disco and it took him 4 hours to get to our room, he had asked for help but didn’t receive any. He was not happy at all. We also had one evening where the power went out in the whole resort – pretty scary when you don’t know where you’re going. I was a little disappointed because it happened around dinner time and I missed out on an a la carte dinner and there were no apologies from management. Part of the beach and shoreline were rocky but over to the Riviera Section is was amazing. It would have been nice to have corona there too but not a big deal. The drinks were awesome and they would remember what you drank. The sol was good but draft beer got to my tummy so not sure if maybe the lines were dirty. I'd still recommend the resort. Abundance of wildlife right around you, from flamingos to alligators to the iguanas – amazing. Crazy staff were fantastic – the games were so much fun!! They had markets all over the place and I didn't feel hassled. If I could guarantee the quality of cleanliness and beauty in my room in the Colonial or White Sands/Riviera Section that I got in Kantenah – then I’d definitely go back!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: amazing resort

highly recommend the royal decamaron, it is in a good location away from the business of puert Vallarta.Excellent service, food, and entertainment.You can walk both ways down the beach for miles and find really good restaurants on the beach.Whale watching and fishing were really good also.its a bigger resort but you have lots of variety for food and drink, will definitely return.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Wouldn't return

Food was amazing although they could use a Mexican restaurant Rooms were huge & clean Lots of shells & coral going into the water (cut my knee on them) Disappointing after dinner shows if you can call them that Absolutely no late night entertainment

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Pleasantly surprised

Like everyone we were nervous going to a hotel that is so new. We had a small issue when we went to our room and without making a fuss they immediately upgraded us to a swim up room, which was lovely. We where also given a couples massage and hydrotherapy in the spa. The restaurants were all very good and the service outstanding. I give the service and the food a 4 rating only because the buffet wasn't yet up to where the hotel standard should be. Drinks are premium and substatial anywhere you g [... read more]o, even great drink and snack sevice on the beach. Bracelets and towel cards are not required, loved that perk.

All Ritmo Cancun Resort And Waterpark: Amazing Resort

Everything was great about the resort. Staff was really friendly and the food was great. I am giving it only 4 stars because WIFI is not free and the signals can get really weak in some of the rooms. Also, in order to make reservations for the restaurant, you had to go to the guest services in person. It was really difficult to get through them over the phone.

Riu Vallarta: Staff Make this Resort

The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The beds were uncomfortable (hard & lumpy) but the pillows were great. Bed toppers (2" foamy) were available upon request (only found out at check out). The food was good and definitely worth going to the specialty restaurants - having to get up at 7:00 am to stand in line to make a dinner reservation was not fun but the cappuccino from the 24 hour sports bar made the wait tollerable. Grand Palladium Kantenah: Beautiful Resort

This was my favorite resort to date. The lush greenery made us feel as though we were walking through the jungle every day to to get to our room. There is lots of wildlife on this resort which I loved. Rooms are very large and clean. A la carte resteraunts were tasty. Buffets were not great but we always found something we liked. The hotel staff were the friendliest we've ever had! I would DEFINITELY return to Kantenah and would highly recommend it. Grand Palladium Kantenah: Excellent vacation!

We visited Grand Palladium Feb 22-27 and had a great time. The room was perfect, walking the paths through the mangroves was beautiful. The resort was clean, service was great. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The only comment I would have is that we traveled with our son and would have liked to eat at the a la carte restaurants but they didn't really have kid friendly food on the menu. The menus looked great thought and other guests raved about the food.

Las Hadas by Brisas: Awesome time

We stayed there for a week at the end of February, the hotel is older but very well kept up, we stayed on floor 16, ocean views amazing but lots of stairs to climb. The resort was very quiet during the week but when locals start arriving for the weekend it gets pretty loud and busy(only complaint). Food was good, no complains. Nice beach but sand gets very hot from sun(volcanic black sand deposit)so bring shoes to beach or expect to do a lot of running

Tesoro Manzanillo: good resort

I consider this hotel a very good value for the $ . I like to play tennis and Mario the tennis instructor is very professional and help me with my game.no negative about this hotel except are to many stares and not ramps for physical challenge people.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Family Resort

The resort, service was great. Amenities super clean. Rooms 3-4 star. Food 5-star. Only two pools at Akumal though. The beach is steps away and is nice and clean. Bring snorkels! Only annoying thing is the time share guys trying to get your attention everytime you pass them one the way to dining room.

Secrets Huatulco: Secrets Hutulco

Very beautiful place, lots of attention to detail. Flowers everywhere. The people were very friendly and hardworking, always a smile for us. I love to swim the pools are very large and great for doing laps.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: great resort

the staff were great and very informative, the grounds well kept, the beach was nice, food was good and lots of variety, rooms well kept, always hot water and bottled water in rooms. Never had to ask twice for anything the staff were all very accommodating.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Different but Wonderful

Modern good size rooms, beautiful adjoining pools and a fantastic rooftop infinity pool make this a great place to stay. Though smaller than most all inclusive resorts, the excellent service surely made up for it. Friendly efficient bellboy service, courteous front desk personnel, regular room cleaning and fridge restocking are all part of the package of this smaller resort. A smaller buffet offers Mexican and American far and yes you can get made to order eggs.. A great snack buffet overlooking [... read more] the ocean (great hamburgers) changes to a Brazilian a la carte. We were able to get reservations at the a la carte restaurants (French, Mexican, and Brazilian) each evening and could call the concierge from our room. Very little entertainment in the evenings but Mall and downtown Puerto Vallarta nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. Will return.
