Krystal Ixtapa: Great location to beach, shops and restaurants.

Great value for your money. Right on the beach. Every room has a beautiful ocean view. Lots of shops directly across the street. Very clean and safe. Short bus ride to Zihuatanejo well worth going for the tacos. Will defentily be returning.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Another Grand Stay at a Grand

This is our third Grand. The other two were Grand Bavaro and Grand Rose Hall. This one is just as nice as the other two. The food was better here, but the 'cool' salt water pool was a bit of a drawback. This does not mean we did not enjoy ourselves, but just wanted to note it. We were there for ten days in February 2015, and I wish I was back there now. The beach is beautiful, food was good, the staff were first rate. Can't wait till next year.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Above Average Resort for All Tastes

What strikes one immediately when approaching the lobby of the Barcelo Palace is the sense of space and elegance. The vast lobby and grounds make it possible not to feel crowded even in the high season when we arrived to escape wintry Toronto like many other Canadians. The pools are enormous, clean and inviting and I especially like substantial but different pool areas exclusively for adults as well as for children. Although the rooms are quite a walking distance to the restaurants and the beach [... read more], the corridors and the gardens are very nicely kept and decorated with sculptures and fountains that they made the walks like a pleasant daily exercise before indulging yourselves in the restaurants. The a la carte restaurants are one of the best I have visited in all inclusive resorts. The Seafood and the French restaurants are really first class and their service equally so. The lobsters are so fresh and deliciously cooked. The disappointment both in service and quality of food is the Argentinian beef Restaurant Rodizio. Suddenly you are back down to earth in an slightly below average experience with rather negligent waiters and ordinary steaks in an uninteresting ambience. The buffet restaurants are very good in its varieties and freshness of food and all the restaurant and cafe staff maintained a high level of manners and friendliness even at the peak breakfast times. Now the down side : the customers' service and the internet. All the lobby front desk staff and customers' service are very hard pushed to serve all the visitors. There's just too few of them and they seem to be trying very hard but not given enough correct information by the management. The fact that there is no dedicated cashier desk make the queues and line ups long and laborious even when you only intended to ask the simplest of questions. One feels that the hotel and their staff do not have or want a lot to do with the staff from the Holiday firms. Hence, when I asked for help on arrival regarding my lost luggage by AirTransat and who to get in touch with, the hotel lobby staff could offer no help except a rueful smile of sympathy. The internet was bad. Bought a $45 wifi service that's supposed to work in your room and the central lobby area and it did not work at all in my room when I was really relying on it to get help to locate my lost luggage. (Remember it is a good 10 minutes walk to the lobby) . Subsequently, it is still very erratic service in the room. The bedroom themselves were very good and outside the quiet balcony we had, we could even spot a deer at night together with other some small interesting animals. All the chamber staff were excellent and friendly and the facilities clean and excellently kept. The beach is vast and gorgeous and never short of a chair to lie on. Soft sand and plenty of shallow water where you can see fishes and some even saw turtles. Also the location made it possible to have a big variety of local excursions for Mayan temples as well as cenotes and other sporty ventures. All in all , I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and I am not easy to please !

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Awsome place to be

Still at the Friendly...been here 4 or 5 times before, son & daughter joined us this time & love it. The name speaks for itself, food great, beach the best and service better than the best. Will return again.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great place to relax

Resort is beautiful, rooms are spacious and very clean, as is the rest of the resort. Loved Mikes coffee house, and choice of restaurants. Lots of room to relax by the pools or beach, great kids area too.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Don't worry Bahia Happy!!

Amazingly beautiful surroundings and friendly, fun atmosphere! Partnered with comfortable rooms and delicious amounts of spirits and yummy eats to fill the tummy , this is the place to be!! Don't worry Bahia Happy ;)

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Excellent Resort

Our stay at the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda was great! The hotel is beautiful with many dining options. There were 8 of us all together and everyone loved the food whether it was the buffet, late night snacks or the many a la cart restaurants. Our room was in building 6 which was nextdoor to the outside breakfast area with a pool. We were a little ways from the beach, it took about 10 minutes to walk or about 5 minutes if one of the many trollys were driving by. The beach was very nice, although, I feel it must be mentioned, if you are looking for turquoise waters it might not be the one for you. There was a lot of seaweed and a lot of rocks in certain areas. Otherwise it was spectacular!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Review before you go!!

The food was excellent, the yucatan platinum rooms were sterile and too modern looking, we had to ask for the plastic sheet to be removed from the mattress and a cloth one put on as it was too hot and sticky...I went for the beach, the beach was nice, but you couldn't play on the shore line or swim due to the amt of sea weed and the rocks in the water. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Good value for the money

There are certainly more expensive hotels but this one was first class all the way without being overly expensive. The grounds are beautiful, perfectly manicured without a piece of trash anywhere. The resort is very large but the tram system is very efficient and allows you access anywhere in the property. The buffet restaurants are amazing. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Super family holiday!

Adult children and grandchildren accompanied us and had a great time together. We enjoyed the many activities and pleasant staff. Having read previous reviews, I was hesitant, but found no problems as stated. The resort is not new, but is very clean and didn't hear the noise that others complained about. I had a couple of issues, but the staff dealt with them immediately and checked later to see if we were satisfied. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: EXCELLENT RESORT

WE TOOK OUR FOUR CHILDREN TO THIS RESORT THIS YEAR, AGES RAGING FROM 10 TO 21 YEARS OLD, WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME, THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THE NIGHT "SHOW TIME" ENTERTAINMENT WAS THE BEST WE SEEN IN A LONG TIME(ROCK & ROLL SHOW WAS THE BEST), THE RESORT HAD PINK FLMINGOS, PARROTS, LARGE EGUANA'S, PEACKOCKS THAT FED FROM YOUR HANDS, AND WE ALSO SPOTTED TWO WILD PIGS ROAMING THE GROUNDS AT NIGHT?

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Clean and very friendly

Well my friend and I booked a standard room and I have never been put in a room without a window! Huge wooden door small peep hole dark, very dark and you shared your vernada with everyone on that floor!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great Vacation

This is a beautiful resort, smaller and on the quiet side, which we liked. Food is definitely gourmet and only has one buffet and several restaurants, which we much preferred. Gym is brand new and awesome, always a machine. Staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and always repairing, cleaning or just busy keeping the place pristine. We will definitely go back.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Excellent Vacation

My husband, 19 year old daughter and I were here for a week and it's now our favourite resort! Food was outstanding, definitely not like usual all-inclusives (only one buffet) beautiful resort all around. Ocean does have rocks and vegetation in it, so that's why I gave pools/beach a 4 out of 5.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Stay

The food was top notch, rooms were nice, clean and updated, the grounds were kept very tidy. We were a little disappointed with the beach, sand was great and their was plenty of chairs but the water was not, we were hoping for the typical aqua blue water (Like Cuba or DR) but if you walked either direction for about 10 mins the water was beautiful.

Las Brisas Huatulco: UNIQUE RESORT

THE HILL SETTING OF THIS HOTEL IS WHAT MAKES IT SO AMAZING, SPECIAL AND UNIQUE. THIS IS PERHAPS THE REASON MOST OF THE ROOMS HAVE WONDERFUL VIEWS. ALSO I LIKED THAT THE HOTEL WAS A QUICK RIDE FROM THE AIRPORT AND TOWN. THE BEACH IS WHAT I LOVED THE MOST AT THIS HOTEL....BEAUTIFUL SAND AND GREAT SNORKLING. Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit: wonderful experience

This All - Inclusive resort was beautiful. It was rated 4 star. We have never been to a 5 star and cannot imagine what it would be like. This resort was 5 to us. Staff was amazing and could not do enough for their guests. We never heard " sorry we don't have that" or "sorry have run out of that". Food was also excellent. Desserts were repetitive but we didn't miss anything as we always enjoyed and were full from the rest of the meal, and that comes from someone who loves their sweets! You have a [... read more] choice of a la carte or buffet or both at the same time as both were offered in the same restaurant. The trays of food at the buffets were small but always replenished therefore never looking sloppy and picked over. It always looked fresh and inviting. Never had to wait for a new replenished tray to arrive. Staff whether they were front desk, housekeeping and even bathroom attendants, they all paid attention to the smallest of details. The restaurant waiters were very attentive and with at least 2 per table.Their service was very polished. The pool side waiters never stopped running back and forth and always very pleasant. There were plenty of waiters checking with us making sure we were well hydrated ( and fed) whether it be with water or alcohol. Speaking of alcohol, we were very relieved that we never saw anyone ever stupid drunk in the 8 days we were there. This is a great place for families as well as other age groups. Our age group is 55+. The resort made changes a few years ago and do not tolerate drunken party animals. A great decision & well appreciated. We found our studio ( no studios are pool side) which face the garden was a good choice as we found it to be very quiet. Balcony (suites) units which face the pool could probably be quite noisy. Room 3105 (stands for building #3 ) was excellent. Beds, linens, towels and even pillows all excellent.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Great Resort!

Very modern looking resort, well laid out and maintained. Our room was very nice, clean (adorable towel animals), pools and lazy river very clean, enough chairs available at pool and beach. Bar staff very friendly. Buffet staff at lunch and breakfast were somewhat lackluster, but dinner buffet and specialty restaurants were great. All food was tasty and a good variety night to night at the buffets. Beach was beautiful, but not long... no long walks here.

Presidente Intercontinental: Fantastic Time!

The staff make this resort great. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and personable. Older resort, but clean and well maintained. Get the room upgrade to be closer to the pool/beach. Rooms in the "tower" aren't renovated and some are not so nice. Buffet gets old after a few days, but the a la carts are really good - and no lining up for reservations - you can go as often as you like!
