Iberostar Origin Tainos: This is not a 4 stars Hotel!

We stayed at the Iberostar Tainos for a week in February 2023. The site and the resort are very nice: nice pool, well maintained garden and nice facilities. The beach was very nice. The service is courteous. The room was the equivalent of a 2⭐️. It needs some serious renovation. The bathtub and the sink focetts were rusted. The water pressure was pretty bad, especially late afternoon when guests are back from the beach. The furniture was old and outdated. The beds were comfortable though. Hotel Tuxpan: TUXPAN 2023

They were trying their best. There were shortages of some food - potatoes, butter, jam, cheese. Overall food was tasty and shortages could be replaced by other products. The staff was mostly very helpful. The best is location and beautiful beach. The hotel is old so rooms are stinky and tired but kept clean.

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort!

Beautiful people and resort. Grounds are well kept and so is your room! Pools and beaches are stunning 💕 Always feel so safe in Cuba 🇨🇺 Not so fond of the currency of USD being pushed though! Would highly recommend🥰

Hotel Tuxpan: Very nice resort!

Hotel Tuxpan is very good resort, beautiful location, friendly service, nice entrainment. great cuba coffee plus +vine, make Tuxpan unique taste. one thing is need to improve is the water(cold and hot) and coffee service should use automatically machines instead people serve, it will be more convenient for customers.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Amazing

Just came back from a 5 day vacation at Melia. Had a great time and kids had a blast. It is a clean resort with the majority of the facilities working except for some of the hand dryers were not working in some of the common area toilets. Some of the toilets run out of tissue. Room was clean but dated, air-conditioning was cold. The food was the same everyday, but you will never go hungry. Pleasant staff. Overall, it is an amazing resort for what Cuba has to offer. Melia Internacional: Disappointing

Beautiful property, many things didn’t work in our room, horrible food, no communication, no vodka or tequila or gin or white wine. Sunwing because of ANOTHER “mechanical” breakdown cost us 1 day of our vacation (flight delayed by a day) and again, NO communication from Sunwing either. Last time we book with any of these entities.

Club Kawama: Beautiful Varadero

The grounds, dining areas, gym pool areas were fine and I enjoyed the beach and friendly and helpful workers. In the downside there was no toilet paper one day, and the decision to cut trees very early in the morning requires examination from management. I hope to be back again one day

Melia Las Antillas: Snakes crawl at night!

Grounds-well kept by Gardeners in the early morning. Public areas well kept and clean especially washrooms.ypu may find some plastic cups on the beach. Rooms well kept by maids but they lack upgraded and maintenance.example One evening we found a snake in our room which we believe came in patio door as maid may have left open.our room was ground floor next to woods. Also same evening we heard a crash and Ceiling let go above tub with large amounts of water coming down. Tried to call front  [... read more]desk but phone did not work. Food-we managed to find food to eat but remember they are going through a food shortage. So no oj,no bacon,no cola lite,no jams, Very little beef but good hamburgers but no condiments.no cheese.same desserts done in different shapes. Staff are incredible.sunwing rep not as good as last year's.ala cartes excellent. You do not need buffet after. Would we go back.yes if the price was right.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Amazing place!

We had an excellent time at this property. Like anywhere in Cuba at the moment, there are shortages, but that being said, the staff in this location go above and beyond to make you happy. If they didn't have our fav drink available, they would make you something comparable. The hotel is slightly dated, but was clean and well taken care of with what they have available. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Cuba is hurting! And so are the resorts

Our total honest opinion. Cuba is hurting and so are the resorts. I think they are doing the best at what they can do with what they have! We booked Royal service as well. We just feel for what we paid. We could have had much more elsewhere and we do travel a lot Food was very repetitive with pork chick rice cabbage buns salami and cheese! No pasta that we seen when we were there even at the Italian el la carte! No French fries only seen the once! When you find something you like it seemed with in a day they would be out. Not pina coladas on the last day we were there. Basically rum, scotch wine champagne and beer! They will bring it to you every morning which is great but if that particular morning you wanna sleep in it’s not so convenient! Service was great they couldn’t do enough for you the people were incredible Wifi you get 10 hrs at a time I found we didn’t get what we spent and it’s because they are limited! I think at 1 time this was a high end resort but it’s getting tired looking. If they can’t afford food and drinks for theirs guests. Mail tan r isn’t going to be a high priority

Club Kawama: Great location!

Friendly atmosphere. Leida is always there to help when needed. It's a perfect spot close to the market and a short taxi ride into Santa Marta. Rooms were clean, well stocked with toilet paper. Food was fine but bring your own condiments.

Roc Barlovento: Great resort

After seeing this resort for some time now, I finally had the opportunity to stay here. It was not a disappointment!! They had very clean rooms, good food, friendly staff, grounds were very well kept, beautiful beach. It was a great location, walking distance to the downtown area. Can’t wait to go back there next year.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: What was expected!

This is a cute place to go for a quick getaway! If you upgrade to a suit! But still don’t expect the best! This maybe a 3.5 star ⭐️ at best and even if that, your still going to be disappointed. The shortages are still apparent everywhere, not just this resort. The great part of this resort are the people (Staff) and the distance of the marina from the hotel. The shortages are not the staff’s fault. It’s the government and post Covid. Invent your own meals, create your own stay on  [... read more]your terms. We took a 10$ taxi ride to the marina and bought what we thought would make our vacation rewarding. We had everything we needed for a great week. Thanks to the great taxi driver Omar with the most spectacular blue eyes and very accommodating, he took us anywhere we wanted to go. Varadaro 60 is a great place for great food and drinks. Thanks to Javier our dear friend for coming out with us to dinner. We can’t wait to go back. Maybe not this resort but somewhere new.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Never again!

We were very disappointed in so many things. The only hot meals offered at the buffet both lunch and dinner every day and night were limited selections of pasta and pizza. Drinks, especially wine, were watered down. No vodka, no orange juice, no blended drinks. No entertainment, including music, poolside until 4pm. Constantly had to ask for dirty glasses in room to be replaced. Air conditioning was so loud. We tipped everywhere but didn't make a difference in bar service or housekeeping. The only good thing was the weather.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Disappointed

When we 1st arrived our impression was good we soon found out they had no pasta no lettuce no real fruit juice no beef limited chicken and bacon. no Vodka no Whiskey no fruit drinks The pool walls had black mold scum I'm the grout. A lot of things broken and unrepaired through out the resort The staff did the best with what they had.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Worst trip ever.

The hotel was old and empty. The had only had what they call cola and fanta in the main bar. Rum and rum are your only drinking options the had no vodka tequila whisky anything just rum. First day we got there the ran out of hamburgers we paid no attention cause we thought there would be more options. Nope. Hot dogs and French fries at the snack bar when the have and if you don't mind the roaches climbing all over the bar. No options at breakfast on only two cooking surfaces for the whole resort If u just want a beach and pool this is the place. Bring cup of noodles condiments snacks and pepto. Only way I would ever do this trip again if the 12 friends I went with were all sent back with me for free. Don't try any of the restaurants they all share the same roach infested kitchen the people in the hotel are amazing.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Much Lower than my Expectation

I picked this hotel because I prefer the resort style, I read a lot and have already decreased my expectations but the truth is much worse, the hotel is very old, the door is not functioning well, and sometimes I need to swipe over the card 20 times to open it, they never change the towels until you have to require every time, but some other things will be recommended, such as the beautiful beach, I really suggest the future visitors never go out but just spend time on the beach that will keep y [... read more]our good memories in Cuba, and the Royal Service Room. The most important thing for me is never WESTJET VACATION, and I will be away from SWOOP AIRLINE.

Melia Las Americas: Beautiful Resort

It was very clean, the rooms were great, the beach was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the golf course was great to play, they can certainly use more newer golf carts, the service in the buffet and specialty restaurants were great but the food was just so so.

Melia Las Americas: Very nice

Excellent resort. The building show no sign of aging and we’re Very clean. Beach well what can I say a 10. We were 4 guys on a golf trip so we were upgraded to a multi room 2.5 bath hacienda. It was a 5 star accommodations so a very nice treat. Food was ok and maybe better than other resorts. Very repetitive though. Missing a lot of condiments like ketchup,onions. Staff are all amazing and in general Cubans are amazing and very appreciative.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: love cuba

food was half decent. i enjoyed the buffet. room was not the greatest everting seemed to be broken and damp sheets was a regular. the shows were great. and the staff super friendly and nice. if u don't plan to be in ur room a lot, like us, then perfect. beach amazing. as always. and pool was good too. not too much selection of drinks. no pina colada. otherwise i would recommend and go again. love Cuba
