Riu Vallarta: Our Second time!

Just as the title reads my boyfriend and I made our second trip to Riu Vallarta and loved every minute of it! From the grounds, the food, the pools and the most important part THE STAFF they are the most hardworking, humble and friendliest! I’ve never been the type of person to go back to the same resort twice but Riu Vallarta completely changed my mind. My boyfriend and I can’t wait to head back for trip #3!!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Good resort

The resort was nice. Food was ok. Didn't like that I had to take an elevator to get to the beach. Not enough going on for kids. They had a kids club but more geared to little ones. My kids being 8 and 10 were bored by day 3. Rooms where clean, service was great. People were great. Also didn't like that the rooms didn't have a dresser clothes everywhere for a week.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Outstanding resort

There was absolutely nothing wrong with this resort. All the restaurants were amazing, staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms large and always cleaned and fridge restocked when necessary. Pool games and staff fun...Would return in a heartbeat

Riu Flamingos: Amazing vacation!!!

I was a little skeptical when I first booked our vacation as I had never booked an all inclusive vacation online before. Our agent Jack was very helpful and always kept in touch with us to make sure everything was okay. He even gave us a call after we came back from Puerto Vallarta to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Really appreciated that!!. Anyways back to our vacation, we had a shuttle pick us from the airport and drive us to the resort which was about a 20 min bus ride. The check- [... read more]in was spot on as the front desk had everything ready and waiting for us. The hotel is not that big but perfect and we had a really good view from our room as we could see the pool area and beach from our balcony. The food at the buffet was great and the A La Carte restaurants were great too especially the steak restaurant by the beach. The nightly entertainment was great as well especially the Michael Jackson show. We also did a couple of excursions, one was the city trip with a visit to the tequila factory where we got to sample 7 different tequila flavors. We also did the snorkeling excursion through Vallarta Adventures which was excellent especially the crew on the boat were very friendly and entertaining. We had such an awesome time on this excursion. Overall the trip was wonderful and we had great weather in Mexico. We would definitely visit again.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Ok resort

Upon arrival we were checked in pretty quick. When we got to our room, I was so disappointed. The rooms look much nicer online. We had booked the Romantic Bayview Suite Sun Club. The room was basically a king bed, TV on the wall & a stand with a coffee maker on it. The only thing nice about the room was the view from our balcony. The balcony was huge but only had a small wicker table & 2 chairs. Went down for supper at the buffet & it was ok. The best place we ate was at the Barefoot Grill by th [... read more]e pool. The room service menu sucks! There are only a handful of things on it & nothing appetizing. We ate at the Italian restaurant one night & it took an hour for my husband to get his appetizer which was soup. It was a 2 hour dining experience. Food was good though.This is a good resort for families looking for a reasonable get away. It is not worth it to upgrade your room or get the Sun Club. Would we go back, I doubt it. The old saying you get what you pay for rings true with this resort. In saying this, the staff are extremely friendly. Cannot complain about that at all.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Perfect for a solo Vacation or with Others

My first impression is that this hotel is crazy colorful. It’s a massive resort with I believe 5 different areas. I came here for a relaxing solo vacation and that’s exactly what I got. I happened to have a room right by the adult only pool which was amazing. It’s not even a 10 minute walk to the beach. They have a variety of restaurants that you can make a reservation at but you have to wake up very early and I just couldn’t be bothered. So I only ate at the buffet, nothing too impressi [... read more]ve there. But I also have a very restricted diet so chances are it’s just the stuff I could eat that was bland, so who knows. All of the staff were very nice, some remembered me at the buffet which was nice. I got stung by a wasp and right away they brought me ice and was worried whether I was allergic or not even when I said I was fine. Over all it was a lovely experience, I’ll definitely come back.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Dreams Puerto Vallarta

The hotel was very clean and very accomadating. The staff was excellent especially Circio,and Angel,Paco,Marcos and Emmanuel at front desk and Iseral was also very helpful. The pool was very clean and not crowded and the wait staff was very attentive. The evening shows were very good and the Italian Restaurant was amazing.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Hugely Disapointed

ive been a loyal customer of the royal decameron complex for 23 yrs going twice a yr and everything was always fantastic , until this last trip oct 7th to oct 21st 2017 ,,,,,,,,ive always reffered my freinds and family there ,,,,, but this yr , things have changed horribly ,,,,,,,they always had a great variety of canadian and mexicain foods on the buffets but this yr ,,,, there was not ,,, everything in the buffets looked the same it was all mush over cooked and way over spiced , and it was c [... read more]lear they were reheating foods and reserving them the following day ,,, and very clear was alot of cross contamination of foods as 90% of the people we spoke to durring our 2 weeks were all very ill from the food ,,,, including all 5 of us ,,,,,,and the food service has also gone down the toilet along with everything we ate ,,, i sat at a table in the buffet for nearly 25 mins waiting for cutlury and water before getting my food to the point i got up and went to the service counter and got my own and poured my own water ,,,, bar tenders were fantastic house keeping was fantastic and maintainence was also great , but if the food is not good ,, no one has a good time ,,, extremely disapointing ,, and after 23 yrs ill now be looking for a new resort to go to in puerto vallarta

Riu Vallarta: Great week at Riu Vallarta!

The grounds were in great shape. The food was very good! It was better than our last two stays. The entertainment staff did an awesome job! The resort was good and so was our room. I do wish that because this was our third stay there that we would not have had to use our Riu points to change rooms so that my sister and brother-in-law could be in the room beside us. I could also not negotiate with the front desk to keep our room for an additional 3 hours on the day we were leaving without paying  [... read more]$60.00 C$. We had an enjoyable 8 days. Riu Flamingos: excelent resort

grounds manicured...10 out of 10 public areas.....9 rooms.10 dinning.10 people.10 room service..10 we got ear infections ..doctor at resort and customer service were (extremely )helpful and compashinate only complaint.too many vacationers for one (bar pool ) no other pool to just relax...non drinkers would not like it

Hotel shows a little wear, friendly staff, clean, food good, lots of young children if you have some, beach well maintained and good, entertainment at night not that good, ala carte restaurants not always open during off season

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Home away from home!

This is our fifth time to Friendly and we are never disappointed! As they say "welcome home " This is our first time going in September which was a different experience. The town is quieter and the weather is very hot! We were so glad to have that beautiful new adult pool ! It has that huge hot tub and long pool for swimming! All the staff want you to relax and enjoy ! He told me to go back to the pool and he'd bring it and sure enough he did ! I love the coffee bar , my favs are frozen coffees and espresso is to die for. All our meals were delicious with a great variety. It certainly is the time for fresh pineapple, I have never tasted fruit like that before. All the staff from waiters to cleaners are warm,lovely people. We did notice not as many activities but that is to be expected, they was always something going on ,you could be as busy or as relaxed as you wanted ! Again thank you friendly for all your smiles and service , can't wait to come home again !

Riu Flamingos: All good

Room good and large enough for 3 sisters. Appreciated that there was 3 beds. Food was satisfactory in the buffet. Fresh cooked eggs at breakfast was the best. Restaurant food was questionable. Didn't love the pools. Way too warm. Did not enjoy the continuous loud music. The swim up bar pool had always a party atmosphere- a real spring break party feel. The other pool had kids and no bar access. For the most part the swim up bar was the only bar available to you if you were enjoying the water [... read more] so it was way too crowded. Loved the bar outside of the lobby. Great martinis and friendly personable service! Beach was excellent and loved that they had so many loungers and shade.

Riu Flamingos: Great trip

Impressive hotel, hard working staff, food at the buffet for the first couple days good then improved. Steak house very good. All in all a very good holiday. Value for your money excellent. Planning on going back again next year. Went to the Vallarta hotel next door and it was nice also.

Riu Flamingos: Horrible Hotel

I would rate this hotel a zero...the front desk staff there are horrible...the pools are cracked at bottom very dirty my friend cut her foot in the pool they did nothing...do not fly sunwing the representative for sunwing lie about the tours...amoung other things.. will not fly with sunwing again!!!Or stay at another Rui!!

Room bathroom not clean.people friendly!food good..beach okay.. i dont like go back ! this is my review..but we are not same.. im very clean person..my value is little higher..if u are not u can visit !

Riu Flamingos: rui jalisco,

The hotel was well maintained, room was nice and clean with good maid service. The food was very good and the staff excellent. The only downside was the amount of locals and there children at the hotel who overcrowded the main pool and swim up bar. Anyone can use it but the amount of people that never leave the pool to use the washroom would be around 90%. So therefore you are essentially swimming in a toilet! Crown Paradise Club: Disoppointed from this hotel

We traveled to crown paradise club, Puerta Vallarta, Mexico on September 2017 for 8 days from the 10 th to the 17 of sep, 2 adults and 3 kids, 6 yrs, 3 yrs and 14 months. My and my husband had chosen this hotel Because there is a water park and slides. There was a lot of others hotels and packages less expensivebut we went with this one. Package per adult was almost $1100. Food was ok! Not much variety, same thing almost everyday, something even they served same thing for breakfast for lunch o [... read more]n the same day. Also Me and my baby boy we're sick, we called a doctor to the room and we paid $US100. My son was vomiting and had diarrhea with fever as well. Dr said he had Gastroenteritis which is an intestinal infection...So he had food poisoning. I had diarrhea and sharp stomach pain. Me and him we were sick for 2 days. One of those days we did not go out of the hotel room. We stayed in a family room with 2 bulk beds, on of the beds had ants, we asked them to change the bed sheets one night and second night there was still ants. We asked them to change the room, they did. Also air conditioner was not working in our first room. We had a problem in the air conditioner in our second room after we changed it, but they fixed it right away. I have to say that kids club was very good, a lot of activity for kids, both my girls loved it and loved their teachers. Water park was amazing but they need to add more safety to it. Be prepared to pay tips and set up a budget for that, they expect tips everywhere in bars, restaurant, housekeeping. We left tips almost every meal before I got sick. I need to say the French a la carte restaurant was very good, you need to try it. To end my review I want say that we have been to Cuba and Dominican Republic, never been sick on vacation, never felt homesickness, never wanted to go back home 2 to 3 days before vacation ended, only in puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

Crown Paradise Golden: Lost in Translation

Except for problems with the air conditioner in the room, I found the resort was fine. The grounds were well kept and clean, the pool was nice and clean, with adequate lounge chairs, good bars and pool service too. The beach was groomed daily and was fine. Good amenities. I found the food in the main buffet to be rather plain and uninteresting. The restaurants were very good. The room was fine except that the air conditioner stopped working on the fourth night. No matter how I set it, the [... read more] temp would not get colder than 25 C, and it would blow moist air into the room. This caused condensation to form and the floor was soon covered with water, and everything in the room including the bed spread and my clothes were soon damp. I called room service and they sent up the maintenance man. He didn't speak English and didn't understand what I was trying to tell him. He assured me in broken English that the air conditioning was working because it was blowing air, and the condensation in the room was caused by an open balcony door. I couldn't get across to him that it was blowing moist warm air instead of cool dry air, and I kept the balcony door closed at all times. I had to shut off the air conditioner for the next three days to allow the room to dry out. Due to the warm and damp room, I didn't sleep well for the rest of the vacation. If it wasn't for the air conditioner crapping out, It would of turned out into a very good vacation, but unfortunately, because they were having very hot and humid conditions, the room was unbearable at night, and there was no place to cool off outside during the day. The people I was travelling with had no problem with their room's air conditioner. I can't really recommend this resort because major problems like the air conditioning was not dealt with properly.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Jungle Paradise!

This resort was wonderful and very unique from our other experiences in Mexico. The grounds are a lush tropical rain forest, complete with a small zoo in the middle! If you like natural wildlife, this is your place. Great for kids! The staff was amazing... warm and friendly, and always willing to help us without being over-bearing. Of special mention is the Smile Team, led by Vicente - who on learning that we were all there (19 of us) to celebrate our parents' 60th anniversary - arranged  [... read more]a special private 5 course romantic lobster dinner on the Royal Pool deck. The whole thing was video'd, from their surprise at the start, a walk on the beach mid meal, right to our entire family's entrance from the beach just before dessert, where we were all provided a rose to present to my mom (17 total!) as we filed up the stairs. It was amazing and so very kind of them... we were overwhelmed. A great place to visit!
