Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing Time

Can't say enough about our visit to Grand Memories Santa Maria. Amazing staff, Hector (Manager). Andy Fernandez (Customer Service), Laney (Entertainment Team) amazing! kept us entertained. Marisnae, Chapotain (Best Servers, can't thank you enough for taking care and looking out for our family) and all the others at the resort; went above and beyond with care, service and to assist with any issues that came up. We left only to go again.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Best Beachside Resort

The hotel is located close to an amazing white sand beach. The water is crystal clear and calm most of the time. The staff is great especially the ones serving and preparing the drinks. The pool is amazing. The food is mostly Cuban dishes. Try to get the Diamond Club if you stay there.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Average Resort

First and foremost, I was disappointed with the condition of the washrooms in lobby area; they were very smelly and often times without hand soap and toilet paper, secondly, I was greeted by a very huge cockroach sitting inside the clothes closet and on the balcony there were two chairs, one of which we were unable to sit on because it has no seating attachment and to make matters worst, it took 3 calls in three days and two personal visit to the front desk before they fix the issue, Thirdly, th [... read more]e food was a given, plus it was very repetitive. In addition, the cleaner sparingly clean our room and on one occasion, the cleaner remove the toilet roll with a small amount of tissue on it and did not replace a new one, we were without toilet paper and had to call front desk to have one brought to our room. It did not make any difference in paying for a Superior Diamond Club room. I felt robbed. The Friday when we were checking out I called the front desk and begged the lady at the front desk for an extra hour, which she granted us, about thirty minutes later I got a call from another male front desk staff inquiring about our checking out, so we explained to him why we were still in the room and even though we explained to him he was very determine to charge us extra for the room. I have to attend the front desk and argued my point before he decided to drop the extra charge. on the contrary, the property itself is nice the beach is spectacular, including the guys who are in charge of the beach equipment and the guys who ran the snack bars, they provide great service. The staffs in around the buffet restaurant and lobby bar are wonderful, helpful, friendly and pleasant people. Last but not least, I did enjoy my stay, but I would not go back.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Not up to 4+ Cuban Standards

FOOD: food quality was POOR as every day it was a "survival of the fittest" feeling. You cannot sleep in or have a late lunch as the buffets ran out of the basic foods such as bread/buns, melons, mangoes, bacon, fish, cheese. There never seemed to "be enough" for all? (people were not even taking an excessive amount per). No chicken or shrimp ever. Even ran out of napkins, clean plates, cutlery, draft beer (beach bar), tonic, clean beach towels. FACILITY: our room cleaner was superb, the Lobby server and butlers were always attentive to us and ensured that we were satisfied. Lobby M/F washrooms were never cleaned/attended to throughout the day (flooding floor, no toilet paper, only 2/5 stalls were available for use). BEACH: beautiful beach waters!!!!!! "Picture perfect" Complaints were from many resorts on this island, even from people who stayed at Royalton!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Memmoris caribe

We arrive at Cayo coco at 11:30 insted 10 to 9. We have to landed to varadero to refull. We lost more then 2 hours. Service was fast at the ressort. We got key to our room. We wait one hour for the luggage to be deliver to our room. Didnt happen. My husband has to go to reception to bring our luggage. It was raining like hell. Ac wasnt working. We hear noise in the duct. And guess what? We saw big claws caming out. Big crab. I had enough. Went back to receptions. We got another room. Ac was wor [... read more]king like a truck . Another trip to reception. I was told there is no more room. After when i told receptionist i will be sleeping in the lobby she give us another room. So our night was gone.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Good and Bad

The positive....the beach and pools are beautiful and really well taken care of. Lifeguards on duty at the beach are attentive and always paying attention. Beach bar was the best one. Excursion was amazing as well as hotel transfers, everyone was great. The negative...staff not so friendly. Ran out of plastic glasses at 2pm one day at 2 different bars...wasn't allowed to take out glass to the pools...had to wander around the huge resort to get my children some water! Rooms are ok. Some lo [... read more]cals not so appreciative of the resort, were eating burgers in one of the pools, with crumbs and food falling into it, yet no staff told them to stop (and I couldn't bring a glass to the pool with water for my children). Food was pretty much the same every day. 24 hour snack bar only had one option...take it or leave it. Was ok for the value, but not sure I would go again.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great experience

IT'S an older hotel but very clean, and the service was great. We were staying in the CLUB section, therefore things might have been even better because of that. The beds on the beach were great with the club, and the service at the beach bar was good. We liked Gary-Jim (the beach waiter)

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, we had the ocean view room and it was perfect. The beach was stunning, crystal clear water and white sand. The staff was also very friendly. We had so much fun and will definitely visit again.

Sol Turquesa Beach: WARNING EL MAFIOSO DE HOLGUIN MEMORIES

, i have just arrived back from my 7 day vacation in holguin cuba. This is my 6 times to holguin since november of 2017 and 5 of those times i stayed at memories. On the 4th day my finger was sliced down to the bone while swimming in the kids area of the pool with my 5 year old daughter. The reason my finger is cut was due to missing tiles on the floor of the pool. This is a kids pool 2 ft deep and it has 16 patches of missing tiles. The second the doctor finished the stitches he demanded 75 pesos and had me take a shuttle to my hotel room with a nurse to receive the payment.i then took the shuttle back to the front reception desk to complain to managment as i should not be responsible for the cost as this was caused from the unsafe kids pool. They assured me for 3 days telling me through multiple managment i will recieve my money back and some type of paper work showing what the doctors gave me and a reciept of the payment. My check out was at 4:00pm friday and at 3:00 pm management informed me that they could not reimburse my money as the doctors have already deposted the money in the bank. They were beyond rude they wasted hours everyday of mine and my 5 year old daughter waiting for answers that never came. Then to top it off my daughter has eye problems and cant swim in the ocean and this is why i choose memories as they have 8 pools. With the stitches i could not swim with my daughter for our last 3 days. Now it is time to check out and hotel management informs me i have a 12 peso charge to my room and i must pay this before me and my daughter board the bus to leave to the airport. I along with 2 other family's that witnessed this entire thing. We all go into my suitcase located beside reception desk and i pull out of a small black leather case where i keep passports and money.i had $10.00 cad left to my name as the unexpected 75 pesos was my emergency money. I tried to tell them it was not fair and this was all i had but they said no we could not board until paying in full. I then went back to my luggage which was stored in there side room to retrive my visa /debit to try and make a payment. My bag had been opened and my passports were gone. The manager walked up to me and said see you arent going anywhere until you pay the 12 pesos. The other family i was with witness this and ran to our rep hola sun and told him to look at the video surveillance that was pointing at the door. The management was so afraid at this point saying no no no . As security walked up to us my daughter needed to change her clothes, i open my luggage and placed right on top clear as day are mine and my 5 year olds passports.i have never felt so scammed or afraid for my daughters safety in my life.i have attached photos of the man to is being it all and he is the customer service rep which is even worse. This is beyond unacceptable and both my doctor and corporation need the paper work for the medical and insurance reasons. What is going on here.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good resort

Grounds were nicely kept, beach was amazing, food was good and ample variety but the hotel is dated and in need of a refresh. Really dated rooms need paint and general maintenance all around. We never received enough towels or the right amount of beverages in our room, it varied daily.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great adult resort

the hotel was very clean, and well maintained. The beds are a little hard for sleeping but a swim on the amazing beach and felt better right away. Worth the diamond upgrade!!! We would stay there again and the breakfast in diamond club is quite good.

Grand Memories Varadero: Amazing Vacation!

The resort is great! People should not believe any negative reviews they see. Of course, the food is standard for Cuba BUT if you book the Al a Carts (Gourmet Restaurant especially) then you can have steak and lobster etc. The entertainment staff was phenomenal and the shows were all great!! beach is stunning, and grounds are SO well kept. Overall, was a fantastic experience.

Nice and warm hosting, very diligent staff, ready to comply to your needs, very bad internet connection. Best color of send ever seen, beautiful turquoise see trough ocean water, big variety of food and drinks. I would have liked to be able to bring our family chihuahua member, but I guess we cannot have everything :)

Memories Jibacoa: Jibacoa Cuba Property Pretty

Our first time to this hotel. The grounds at the Jibacoa very pretty, the hills, trees, flowers, beach. Some, maybe many, of the rooms need work done; the bathroom bathtub, mirror, ceiling, the room was fine some of the furniture well used, bed comfortable. Entertainment during dinner and evening shows AWESOME. Staff friendly, maintenance helpful. Pool too warm and shallow, did not use after first day. Beach pretty, Diamond Club service at beach great. Swimming difficult in ocean if water not clear must be careful as coral patches close to shore. Security great. Overall Good in some areas and Fair in others. Thank you.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Relaxing Vacation!

My wife and I were looking for a relaxing fun holiday. Memories Flamenco met our expectations. The food could have been a little better but cuisine isn’t a priority for us on a trip like this. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and accommodating and the beach outstanding! All in all 7 days went by too fast!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great beach

Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Food in main restaurant was okay but could be better. All in all this hotel is a good value for the money. I could not get enough of the beach which is great with plenty of lounges around (and shade)

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Outstanding resort!!!

I went in with ni expectation, and I was not disappointed. Although I can rough it anywhere, I was delighted in being treated like a queen. The hotel is going through renovations, but your not aware. They keep the materials hidden and passages are always clean. Our room was very humid, nothing the ac couldn't handle. Our butlers Dayan and Marlon went over and beyond to make our stay welcoming and delightful. Yude was a sweetheart, who would always have a smile on her face. Food was difficult, only because of restrictions. Other than that, I was pleased. I had horrible service at the Mexican restaurant, the waiter was new and rude. Other than that I fell in love, over and over again. I would go back tomorrow, but no kids allowed!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great Resort! But NEEDS some work.

Went to Memories Sanctuary with my wife mid June 2018. it was definitely way better experience than the last time I've been to Cuba. I DIDN'T GET SICK! LOL. I had an amazing time here. The staff is amazing and do anything to please you, within limits obviously.. ;) i couldn't believe we had a Butler. A BIG THANK YOU TO DAYAN (chop chop ;), MARLON and ALEXANDER LAZARO. Hope ur reading what we spoke about ;).. This resort can be even better if they would fix their other buildings as 2 or 3 of them were close for Reno. THE BEACH!!! OMG.. The beach is phenomenal!!!! Sanctuary NEEDS to get an aquatics rental booth. It doesn't make any sense especially on a business level to not have an aquatics rental booth. GET ONE! To the manager of this resort ALEXANDER. THANK YOU for your hospitality. Just listen to your staff and be open to their opinions, without their personalities there would be NO shine. They're special! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESORT. Don't go looking for big parties but you will have a great time relaxing in a spectacular environment. And again.. THE BEACH!! If you didn't know, you can be TOPLESS! ADULTS only. Perfect..

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful Vacation!!

This resort is kept immaculately clean! The rooms were beautiful, very, very spacious, and modern. The grounds and gardens are beautifully maintained. The beach is in a class all on its own...absolutely the most stunning beach I have seen...and the crystal clear water is shallow well out from the beach. The pool is large, clean and great for cooling off after being in the hot sun. We will be back to Memories Caribe! (Highly recommend the catamaran and snorkeling excursion!)

Resort was huge and physically looks great. Food was above average. Guests were allowed to drink, smoke & eat IN THE POOL was negative aspect. Some guests very loud, rude vulgar language not acceptable. Staff was great except for not enforcing rules around pool area. Entertainment was average.
