Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: great for relaxing getaway
I had read the reviews and was worried but I guess it all depends on your mindset. My husband and I had a very relaxing vacation. I am thinking that most people don't put a lot of thought into where they are going and wjat they want from their vacation. We were happy to eat at whichever restaurant was open and had tbe shortest line. We loved the hammocks on the beach towards the family side. We didn't stay in the adults only section and had no issues. The resort being new was great. They are sti [... read more]
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great resort, not fully ready to open though.
Had a wonderful trip. No complaints. Important to know lots of finishing work going on all around resort like landscaping, repair work to things done badly first time. Lots of unmarked level changes on walkways, witnessed many falls because of it. Good food, clean facilities. Helpful staff.
Velas Vallarta Suite Resort: great hotel
Can't say enough good things about our stay . It was our first time at this resort and we would return. The staff there was great particularly Eduardo pool side, but all of the servers in the restaurants were the best The hotel was very clean we had a junior suite with no balcony 24hr room service was great one thing i didn't like was the uninviting lobby there is no visible bar should be a meeting place also if your a beach person this is not for you.Still a very nice relaxing hotel
Excellence Playa Mujeres: The best
Food is wonderful,my wife as allergies all the waiters made sure to tell the chiefs. She ate with no worries, very clean room, grounds are beautiful, every one is very polite, the beach is very clean, we have lots of privacy, everything else was great
Allegro Cozumel: great vacation!
Room we had was great! Was a double family suite (they messed up so we got upgraded to a time share room). Staff were friendly but you really had to ask for service as there werent.enough staff in my.opinion. food was not tasty.or warm and there was not a lot of variety. A la cartes were good. Long lines at the bars. Resort itself was small but nice and clean. Great kids water park and jungle gym. Great beAch!
Grand Sunset Princess: A HUGE dissapointment!
This an example of a mega resort. It's listed as a 670 room resort, when in fact it has yet another 670 rooms on the other side, plus another 200 platinum rooms all sharing the same beach! It was hard if not impossible to find any lounge chairs pool side or beachside. Let me start with the beach, the water was rough and murky when I was there. For the couple of hours when the water was its calmest during my 1 week stay, I still wouldn't have considered venturing in for all of the rocks in my way [... read more]
Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Very Good Mexican Resort in the perfect location
Very good hotel on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, excellent and friendly staff, Lovely well kept grounds, 3 pools, Location was excellent, close to restaurants and entertainment area. Food was very good. Room was very clean and quiet..
Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Wild resort
Great resort had all kinds of animals roaming the resort ,lizards monkeys,deer...and a few I can't remember the names. More birds you can shake a stick at...even saw an owl. Xcaret is a must see my favorite the turtles. The evening show is a must see. A resort hidden in the jungle. Wife and I loved it.
The Sens Cancun: disappointing
The hotel room was very damp and smelt very musty. The floor was sticky. The pillows were sour, like the smell of laundry left in a washing machine for a week. The window leaked when it rained. The shower needed some renovations. The Beach was lovely but the sea gulls were extremely aggressive whenever anyone had food, so I got pooped on 3 times in 2 days. The pool was too cold to go in until mid day. The doors were not sound proofed very well, so when partiers came in at all hours of the night, [... read more]
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: 5 star all the way
This is the nicest resort I have ever stayed at in Mexico, the Butler Service was fabulous the Diamond Club package is the way to go! Kids pools are on one side, more adult areas on the other but both close to each other so the best of both worlds.
Las Palmas by the Sea: Warm and friendly.
Compact, well designed and well run. Entertainment better than other 3*. Food good except for Japanese night. Balconies have sea view but no privacy. Rooms clean and everything worked. Plenty of hot water.
Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Fantastic Resort
I simply adored my stay at the Riu Palace in Playa del Carmen. I did not want to leave. The food was exquisite! So much selection and all delicious. The location is fantastic with shopping so close! The beach was glorious! Everything is so well organized and worry free. But what impressed me the most was the staff from the Lady cleaning our room (Cecilia) to the waiters in the restaurants (Mary, Ana, Carlos and Mendez) who made our stay so special. They always remembered what we liked and got su [... read more]
Occidental Costa Cancun: Fabulous 2 week at Barcelo Costa Cancun
Warm welcome- room upgraded on arrival! Concierge -Ivett Munguia-most accomodating! Facilities immaculate.Al la carte restaurant Clare Boya- manager fabulous! Waitresses-Juani and Sandra -the most loving ladies!. Bartenders, activity directors were so inclusive and friendly to all!. Resort accomodated a Super Bowl party- game day food and all! Food better than any previous resorts we have been at. Beach a bit small, but away many days to the nearby excursions. Would absolutely stay here again!!
Dreams Huatulco: EXCELLENT
VERY CLEAN, GOOD FOOD, PEOPLE VERY FRIENDLY, THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS ROOMS WERE NOT MADE UP UNTIL 4 O'CLOCK PM AND THEN TURN DOWN FOR THE EVENING WAS ONE HOUR LATER, ENTERTAINMENT IN THE EVENING COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Excellence Playa Mujeres: Excellent Resort - Great Vacation
The resort and the staff are great. We had a few minor issues at the beginning of our stay but the staff truly went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. I look forward to returning next year and would recommend this resort to to anyone interested.
Grand Oasis Riviera: fantastic staff all round
beautiful beach and very comfy beds!!the rooms were so so not what we would call amazing..sorry grand oasis..you are missing a clear direction and we were getting very mixed messages!! i know its supposed to be the ''calm resort'' but with absolutly no music in any out side areas but banging and construction in al the hallways and outside that was not calming, but sad!!we had many issues with this...food was basic as were the drinks..if you wanted premium you had to pay and we were in the grand [... read more]
Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: wonderful exotic escape
the location of the resort in the mayan jungle, surrounded by mangroves, sinotes and lagoons with its abundant flora and fauna makes for an other worldly experience. it is twice blessed in its location because it also sits on a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach which is very swimmable. the service is caring and attentive (although one does encounter some hiccups - when do you not). the food is good. the rooms are huge and well appointed. get a bike to get around the 2 km property.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Beautiful resort
My husband and I stayed here from Jan 28 - Feb4/15. We've been at this location several times in the past, the last time approximately 6 years ago. Many new additions, very beautiful mall. One thing we noted now is there are a lot of young kids at this resort, never bothered us but seems to be geared more to families. The grounds spotless, food great, especially the Seafood and Japanese restaurants. Rooms cleaned daily, staff great, pools spotless, beach kept clean, lots of chairs. Overall no co [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Good vacay with the Famiglia!
We stayed at RIU Los Cabos from Jan29-Feb5 2015. Overall we had a good time! Lately I have been staying at RIU resorts because I love RIU! This resort I found to be huge and beatiful ! I was in building one which was far from the beach. First of all there are no elavators!!!' I travelled with my family and parents who are approx 80 yrs old and they found it extremely tiresome! I specifically asked for ground floor for them but ended up on 2nd floor which was 3 flights of stairs. The beach was sw [... read more]
