Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Amazing place, great beach,staff are very nice

Our location was nice as it was close to everything. Our room is facing the ocean, which is a nice view to wake up to. The buffet and bar were easily accessible. Large variety of food. Our first time, dccording to some tourist that we met, Ocean Casa had a luxury place and a great beach to stay. We had a great time.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Great resort, but too big!

The hotel is great! Staff is great! However it’s a little big and there are not enough staff or amenities to accommodate all the patrons. Would I go back, sure. The grounds are beautiful and large! Be prepared to walk, which I did not mind. Nightly entertainment was great in the lobby. In the theatre should have more interactive themed shows. The beach party was amazing!

Valentin Perla Blanca: Not disappointed

I was a bit weary based on some reviews, but I was not disappointed with Perla Blanca. Food is not the best I’ve had on a resort but it was far from being bad. If anything, it needs day to day variety, but what is served is good. The beach is gorgeous, softest sand I’ve walked on, bluest water I’ve swam in. And it is peaceful for you to relax! If you want a quieter pool / room, request a room in the 300s (west side). Most staff is amazing, friendly, efficient, and I was amazed at how quickly they all would remember our names and our favorite drinks. 5 stars for service, both in bars, room service, and restaurants! Shout-out to Henry (mgr) Claudia (entertainment), and Jose (bartender)! If I have a single complain it’s toward the TripCentral agent who - despite advertising she had been to Perla Blanca before - told me there was no such thing as a “party” versus “quiet” side (even if I had read there was in a review)... yet once I got there not only was it clearly obvious there was a HUGE difference, but staff were very well aware of it. Robyn: there’s even signs around the 300 pool saying “Relax Pool” and “Quiet Pool”, and “RELAX” is written in huge letters at the bottom of the pool. Last but also least important: WiFi is crappy and only available in the lobby (WHEN it works!)... but come on, you’re on vacation. Leave the iPhone in your room, or just use it to take amazing photos! Bon voyage!

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Beach

We had a great trip. There were a few things that bothered us. For example, we were not able to exchange our beach towels. We got stuck with the same for the entire duration of our stay even after requesting for new ones twice. The food was not great. Other than that, the servers were great and very nice to us. Our room was well kept. The resort itself needs a little TLC here and there but overall it was a great spot. The proximity to the beach was super. I would recommend this resort if there's improvement to the quality and variety of the food.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Great resort!

This resort was extremely welcoming right from the beginning. The entertainment team especially was the highlight of this trip making sure every single day was full of fun and dancing! The rooms were cleaned very well and the entire resort was maintained beautifully making for a stunning view anywhere you walked. The buffet was great taking into consideration the limited resources and there was always something to eat for everyone in our group without getting sick or feeling unwell. Roc Lagunas del Mar: Beautiful Resort

Labranda Is a very well kept resort. The rooms are nice, very clean. My room was always clean, towels changed. Nothing taken from me. The beach is great, but needs more lawn chairs on the beach. I had trouble finding one. The staff was good, except I had a problem getting a fork and a drink for dinner. The lobby bar seemed to need a "line up" which was odd. By 1030 11pm people start going to bed. Unless your with people you'll be bored. The food is good, compared to what ive had. If you like bacon then you'll enjoy.

Valentin Perla Blanca: worse vacation ever

the resort is very sunned down,a lot of things were broken and by the looks of it it had been for a while. Public washrooms the stall doors didn't have locks. no toilet paper for the most part and they do not believe in soap not one washroom had soap for you to wash your hands after using the washroom. i was there 2 weeks the pools were never vacuumed the cement around the pools where our chairs were got washed once and that's because it rained that day it was always sticky and full of bird poo [... read more]p our chairs had bird poop if we wanted a cushion to be comfortable because the netting on the chairs were sagging we had to pay for it. the beach did not have enough chairs or shade for everyone which was a shame because the beach has potential they would bring you a chair if you paid for it but noting beat the buffet waiting in line for 30 min for dinner,breakfast or lunch same food everyday empty stations everyday found a hair twice and an ant in my salad i was so grossed out the last 3 days of my vacation i spent in bed from food poisoning i could not stand the smell of stuff that was coming out of me as for bugs the place was infested with cockroaches and mosquitoes this place was no 4.5 stars i would rate this a 2.5 star

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Beach

The best part of this resort is the beach and that is what I came for. The rooms were fine. The accommodated us giving one king bed and a double for my son in the same room. However I cockroach appeared on top of my counter top. This only happened to me in our group. The hotel premises was nicely decorated. The entertainment team are friendly and go out of there way to have you participate. Food stations are slow most of the time and very repetitive. Had to ask for towels and use them the same o [... read more]nes all week due to the laundry issues. Overall we had a great time as the company and beach compensated the minor things.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Angsana Cayo Santa Maria

It's a brand new hotel which offers comfort, relax and a great service. Friendly and courteous staff. The beach is clean, beautiful and some entertaining activities are offered in this area (dance, stretching, volleyball, etc.) as well as in the pool area (zumba, bingo, etc.). Excellent barbecue at the "Ranchon" prepared and served by a great cook. I loved this hotel and all the daily activities are simply fantastic. I danced a lot thanks to the DJ at the "Jazz bar"

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Bad resort

No hygiene, room was dirty, no Internet service for three days, had to switch room 3 times due faulty rooms, old TV, no beach towels for three days, food were cold, had to complain to get water bottle to the room and the sheet change in the room, this is not a 4+ hotel. It should be 2 star hotel.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Nice relaxing week

Grounds well taken care of. Some little things in need of repair such as loose handrails, slow shower drain, our balcony door wouldn’t lock (but we were on third floor). First few days of our week food selection was slim but by the third full day the food got better. Staff were quite friendly and spoke English very well. Beach was absolutely breathtaking.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Ut was decent depending on your luck

The hotel was looked nice. But the rooms were either a hit or a miss. I got lucky. Some guests didnt have a shower or even wifi. The food tasted alright. Some food were cold and the people working the grills dont clean off the grill. The people working the front were useless and Don't trust the young cadeca. He steals a bit for himself. So always ask for a receipt. The servers and bartenders were very nice, playful and fun to chat and joke with.

It was our last trip to Cuba. We went to Valentin Perla Blanca resort in Santa Maria. we got a privilege package. Right from the beginning everything was wrong. Our first impression was, that we suppose to apologize crew that we came. Let's make it short. Pros. Very nice resort. Beautiful beach. Fantastic weather. Very nice job by the people who take care of green space. Humm? That's it. Cons. DIRTY rooms. Very bad room service. If you won't ask to get your room cleaned they won't do [... read more] it. Mini bar not refiled without our intervention. Towels in the room not even close to white colour. Beach towels you stick with them ALL time you are at the resort. Food terrible every day same not much choice and cold. For example just one juice orange mixed 50/50 with water. A la carte restaurants not much better. Bartenders not pleasant unless you give tip for every drink you get. If you have privilege package to get the chair at the beach you have to pay, otherwise all the chairs are taken, and the only choice you have is towel on the sand in full sun. Overal DO NOT GO THERE.

Roc Lagunas del Mar: The worst Resort Ever - LABRANDA CAYO SANTA MARIA

The service was horrible, it would take 1-2 hrs before we could get a drink. They hardly had any staff on and trying to order a drink when not one person who worked on the resort spoke english. The food was horrible, literally rotten, no utensils to eat with and the dishes were filthy all the time. The patio door and safe were broken, so we couldn't lock either one, asked them to fix it several times..never got fixed SHOCKING NOT!!!!!. I have been in a few places in Cuba and they were very sweet people, it was like they couldn't get out of there own way. My friend believes she got bitten by bedbugs. The main lounge area furniture was disgusting, like someone pissed all over it. Most of the people we met would never return.One of a la carte restaurants ran out of food, probably a good thing. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO LABRANDA RESORT IN CAYO SANTA MARIA...NASTY

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Second time in this hotel and not what I was expecting..........

We had chosen this hotel based on our memories of previous trip. I was disappointed…. Rooms are worn out, food is not as good as before, and service is not the same. Positive point: the beach is much wider, longer and really beautiful and clean, but we had to get up at 6.30 to reserve comfortable (blue) long chairs. Long trip (2 Hrs) from Santa Clara Airport in a bus with no bathroom - thanks to our conscious guide who made the bus stop half way. This was corrected on our way back to the airpo [... read more]rt. When the hotel opened few years ago, it was 5*, now I would say 4 - 4.5*.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort, Horrific food

Beautiful resort. Clean, spacious lobby. Reasonably maintained facilities and grounds. Some of the bathrooms did not have toilet paper or were not functioning. Also the water features were not functioning. Not a huge minus but it would certainly have been a positive addition to the ambiance. This is a big resort. If you are staying at the Grand Village compound you will need to take a shuttle to the Buffet. The Park compound is a fair walk as well. The beaches and pools are beautiful. The water  [... read more]is a beautiful aqua and fantastically clear. There is also a large fish just off shore that is incredibly tame. Most of the people we met were returnees and were familiar with the fish which they had taken to calling George. George will swim up to you expecting a handout. He likes ham chunks and eggs. The negative for me is that there is a limited number of palapas and umbrellas at the beaches and pools. The resort has posted that ‘reserving’ lounge chairs is not permitted but it is certainly not enforced. The giant negative for me was the food. I was told that the food last year was much better but there is a new chef. I can’t confirm that but the food I experienced was just horrific. Under done fish or over done meat. Frozen fries, not kidding, it looked like they dumped frozen fries under the heat lamps and expected them to cook that way. Gelatinous pasta at the Italian a la carte. Poor selection of breads and fruits. Not sure if this is because of location as this was not the situation at Iberostar Veradero. My experience there is what led me to come Iberostar Ensenachos. My absolute what the heck moment was watching one of the service staff at breakfast pour 3 different remnants of orange juice and one of ice from cleared tables together and then serve it to a guest. Stopped drinking the orange juice after that. It’s such a beautiful resort but I won’t be back.

Ran out of food often. Couldn’t get a beach towel until the third day. Unfriendly staff. Resort in poor condition. Slow service at front desk. Lack of information provided about amenities. Jjjjjjjjjjjjj

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Best Place Ever!

Just returned home April 13 after spending 7 nights at Melia Cayo Santa Maria. It was WONDERFUL! Beautiful beaches, pool area, restaurants and cafes. My room was perfect. The service including housekeeping was beyond my expectations. I can't remember my housekeeper's name but I was in room 2421. A big thank you and recognition to Louie and Alfredo (poolside staff), Osbiel and Yosvany at the pool and beach bars, Yoseet and Juan Carlos in the cigar lounge. Pool and beach were nice but the service was not good.most of the time our food was cold before we got silverware and drinks. A fee of the workers were great but most were not. Would not go to this resort ever again.

Memories Paraiso: Excellent Resort, beach & service

We’ve used Travel Agency - Tripcentral - agent Monika Monist to book our holiday in Cayo Santa Maria - Cuba from 26 March ‘till 9 April 2019. Tour by plane and bus was very well organized. The Memories Paraiso hotel we stayed was clean and comfortable with Ocean and beach view. The location was great ( close to restaurants buffet and beach).
