Melia Las Americas: Magnificent Resort - Won't Disappoint

We have been to this resort 2 years in a row so far. The food is good (and not just Cuba good), the beach of course is beautiful, and the staff are amazing! Especially Jorge Vizcaíno at the pool bar in The Level. We stayed in The Level both times. The rooms are clean, large and modern.

Playa Caleta: good resort

the hotel wasn't busy but had a great time .its clean friendly staff .good bartenders. the international restraunt was very good .even had lobster there .I would return again .the beach is very nice .the food at buffet was average. the location is a little ways from downtown.

Grand Memories Varadero: Alright resort!

This resort is definitely past its prime. When we checked in, we were given a room that had no A/C or hot water. Fortunately, the next day, we were switched to a different room. The housekeeping staff kept the room really clean, but getting clean towels seemed to be an issue. Also, the food was the same stuff every day, and there was no variety.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not a 5 Star

There was no vodka, gin, tequila, pop. No pasta, no potatoes. Butler service was not what I expected. We had to chase them and they didn’t listen to what we were asking. They say it was a shortage in Cuba however we found out that other resorts had all that we did not.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Good Resort

Resort was not bad, a little tired. Probably needs a little paint.The employees are unbelievably nice and appreciative. Very polite and always had a smile. FYI they really would rather have Canadian money than US. The location is perfect. Steps to the beach and steps to the town of Varadero which has numerous restaurants, bars and shops, most of which are excellent for food and drinks.

Sol Palmeras: Awesome!

This was our fifth time in Cuba and fourth at Sol Palmeras. We absolutely love everything about this resort, which is why we keep coming back. An incredible, long beach that is exclusive to Sol Palmeras makes it an absolute jewel as there is always plenty of space, long chairs, and shade for everyone. Most people complain about the food in Cuba but we've never been disapp [... read more]ointed here with tons of options in the buffet, and the Italian, Chinese, Latino, and International restaurants, along with the snack bar, gave us huge, delicious variety for every single meal. The entertainment is always fantastic and the Fun Pub disco bar is the perfect place to let loose at the end of each amazing day. The pandemic has had an impact as there are a couple of things from previous visits that are no longer available, like the beach restaurant/bar, and the dry season produced a mint shortage so we were only able to have mojitos on one night, but the resort still has so much to offer that it's really difficult to ask for anymore. Just a fantastic time for us once again at Sol Palmeras.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Good time at Sirenis Tropical Varadero

We are frequent visitors to Varadero. This was our first time at this hotel and we were not disappointed. The hotel is clean, the service is very nice. We highly recommend this place. Only for people with mobility, the hotel is a bit on a slope, so access to the water is mostly by stairs.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Good service

The grounds and facilities were always well kept. One night, when I returned to my room, I did not have any power. They sent someone to fix it right away after I reported it at the front desk. They received beautiful new beach lounging chairs on the last day of my vacation. The cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing resort

Definitely a 5 star resort. My wife Beth and I have been there twice now in the last three years. Couldn't be happier with this resort. The people that work there are all so friendly and happy, eager to help the visitors. Especially the young lady at the Japanese restaurant, I believe her name is Yirenia, also the chef ( Rafael ). We had friends with us. We only came for 1 week, but next time will be 2 weeks. The only issue I had was the food, mostly pork and rice. I love pork and rice, just n [... read more]ot every day. I found out the problem was the resort trying to get food, which I understand is a result of Covid. I do not hold that against the resort. Anyone interested in taking a trip to Paradisus Princessa Del Mar, go for it, it will be well worth it. Also we book all our trips through Jenn Black at Trip Central, she is very helpful. Can't believe we will deal with anyone else.

Playa Vista Azul: very nice resort

the staff were all helpful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Sometimes there was a shortage of toilet paper but we had brought some as this was a problem in other island resorts. The entertainment was really good and we definitely had lots to eat. the grounds were Immaculate, and the pool was beautiful. The Alacarte restaurants were difficult to get into unless you were vip but we managed to go to a few. we enjoyed our holiday at Playa Vista Azul

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Pretty

The hotel is pretty just needs some upgrades. The hotel staff were so lovely and accommodating from the buffet to the beach staff, always willing to assist however the front desk staff not so pleasant. Toliet paper was always missing everywhere on the resort

Hotel Blau Las Morlas Varadero Beach: Always a pleasure visiting Las Morlas

We have visited this hotel 18 times. From 2009- present We were concerned if Covid would have impacted, but we didn’t notice much difference. There was enough food, clean grounds, staff always pleasant with repeat and new customers. The difference was during lunch and dinner they serve you food, which I can understand why. If your concerned about food I guarantee you will find something to eat. Breakfast - fresh made eggs, omelette, crepe’s, pancakes. Then you will find different items  [... read more]to pick from. Lunch and dinner- pork, chicken, turkey, fish- we even had lobster one evening which was a surprise. Beans and rice always available. You will always have a fresh salad bar as well. It’s about 30 mins bus ride to airport and close to downtown if you wanted to visit.

Starfish Jibacoa: Lovely Relaxing Resort

The grounds were lovely with trees, green grass scattered between the bungalows. The bungalows are spaced out in a way that does not make you feel like you are beside neighbours. We found it to be very quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Just beware, if you need two 3/4 beds, it is helpful to request this when you make your reservation. There was lots of fruit, vegetable choices, rice, meat choices, fresh fish grilled, eggs for breakfast and of course, lots of fresh bread. The lobby bar makes the best spanish coffee ever!! The paddle boats were available and fun to take out. All in all, the staff are very friendly and helpful in every part of the resort. I think the only place we were cuban music was at the pool. They had TV videos on in the lobby bar area, but they were modern videos. It would have been nice to have authentic cuban music playing in the lobby bar area. Lots of areas to hike outside of the resort. All in all, we had a great week.

Melia Las Americas: Most Amazing Lobby and Beach!

This lobby is one of the most impressive I have experienced staying at an all inclusive Its big and clean and had many options for places to sit and relax or take a nap! I absolutely loved it! The beach was fantastic and it's everything Varadero beaches promised! Most days, the water was calm and blue and easy to swim. The resort is never short on chairs or shaded areas at the beach The staff was also pretty good, including Luis, Yania and Tamara!

Hotel Tuxpan: Miracle place in winter time !

Hotel Tuxpan is number one about beach in Varadero. Clear blue green water of Atlantic Ocean and white sand of the beach . Beautiful connection! Hotel by itself is ok. Restaurants are good. Service is good and very friendly. Nice entertainment.

Hotel Villa Cuba: Very disappointed

Sad to say we did not enjoy our trip. The actual resort was nice and people were great but we had many things stolen from our room. We will not be going back or recommend this resort to anyone in the future.

Hotel Tuxpan: Amazing resort!

The resort is located on the beautiful beach. The staff are friendly and always provide great services. The food is great with a lot choices. The hotel room is clean. The excursion to Havana is well organized. The ground transportation from and to the airport is easy to be found and provides convenience.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Great for the price

The staff made the stay at this resort excellent. Xavier was a gem , the resort needs some TLC which they started. doing while we were there. The food was ok would never go hungry. The beach was clean and good for kids and people who dont like deep water. The rooms were clean and in good condition the only downside was shortage of towels

Melia Internacional: Good resort overall but could use some improvements

Melia International Varadero has great amenities, the rooms are spacious and sufficiently furnished and it's in a good location that is within walking distance to the town of Varadero. There is free Wi-Fi but it is not fully available in many areas of the hotel grounds and it can be frustrating as it drops off often and requires frequent log-ins. During check-in no information is provided regarding hotel amenities, restaurant operating hours, how to book A La Carte restaurants, etc. You are told [... read more] that you will receive an email with all the necessary information. When you do finally receive the email (a couple of hours in our case), the information is short on details and contains old or incorrect information. Additionally, the information provided on the room TV is not that useful as it is more of a fancy hotel advertisement. The front desk staff and the restaurant servers could be more attentive to guest needs and requests. As well, housekeeping staff could be more thorough in their room cleaning duties. A mini-bar is available in the room but it is mostly for decoration. It was empty when we checked in and never restocked unless you got on the phone and made a request, in our case, water. In a separate hotel survey, I have provided hotel management with detailed information regarding guest service issues. In terms of Covid-19 preventative measures, I saw no evidence of any preventative processes at the hotel. This does not necessarily mean that there are no procedures in place, I just didn't see any. At a very minimum, hand sanitizing stations should of been available at all restaurant entrances. Although there are a few areas that could use improvement, they are by no means a reason not to stay at this resort. With a little extra effort in the area of customer service, this hotel can truly become a top-rated, 5-star Cuba destination.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing stay at Paradisus Princesa Del Mar

This was our second stay at the resort and we will never go somewhere else when going to Cuba. Our butter Leo made sure we felt like we were in paradise. The staff is amazing like our little family, food, beach, room, entertainment- all was great. We can’t wait to be back again!!! Thank you Paradisus Princesa Del Mar.
