Ocean Blue and Sand: Great Resort and Staff!

We really enjoyed the resort and amenities. The property was in great condition, very clean and well maintained. The grounds were impeccable. The staff was always friendly, available and helpful. The food was plentiful, sufficiently varied and good, with about 10-15% of dishes being downright delicious (as per our subjective taste). The [... read more]y were on site, keeping us entertained all day....mornings at the beach, afternoons by the pool and evenings by the lobby, theater or disco....they never ran out of energy and humor! The beach was clean, well maintained and there were plenty of loungers. There were always clean beach towels available and again the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, the hurricane last year really decimated the beach, which is now half of the width it used to be (compared to the picture above). Of course this is out of their control, but unfortunately there were repercussions on how crowded the beach was, how close the loungers were to one another and on the available shade. Despite it all, the ocean was splendid! One negative aspect I have to mention is the insistence of the H10/Privilege Club staff to get you to buy into their travel membership and the misrepresentation of the duration of said presentation. We were roped in because we were curious to hear of the possibility to travel for less by dealing with them directly, which has its merit, but were mislead on the never-ending 2.5 hours long pitch.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: I really enjoyed my time there.

I just returned from a week at Garden Suites by Melia. The tropical feel at this resort was so important to me before I booked and it exceeded my expectations. I see a lot of resorts with a sleek modern style that feel more like an airport than a resort. This resort wowed me with the room size. The food, layout, beach, grounds, staff and accommodations are exactly what a vacation should be. Enjoy yourself!

Occidental Caribe: not What we expected

The Room was small, smelled Musty, Had to get the safe fixed twice. the bed was comfortable but it was too small, we wanted to sleep together so the two double beds didn't work for us. The coffee pot did not work, I reported it but it was not resolved. I got food poisoning from the Japanese Resturant the Pool was great. The buffet was good most of the time. The staff were polite and very helpful. The drinks were very good. My Husband got eaten alive with Bug bites.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good resort !

The resort is quite large ! The grounds were well maintained. But the room was just ok . When we got in we had no TV remote and the safe box was not working. Got it resolved the next morning. The beach is amazing ! One big problem were chair availability. If you got to beach or pool after 8 a:m , you had no chair ! We had to be there before 7 a:m to reserve one with shade , like everyone else . Even though there are signs everywhere saying-no reserving chairs . Overall a good experience.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice resort

First time to the Dominican, so can't compare to other resorts, but this was a nice clean resort , large selections of food . Always entertainment happening ,friendly staff. Biggest negative for us was that as a senior ,unless you were tech savvy and had a smart phone there was no info available at the resort all info was available on their app.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Exceeded Expectations

This resort met or exceeded expectations for a 4.5 rating. Many dining options, wonderful beach and updated rooms. Only downside was spotty internet. Service was attentive and always readily available.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Relaxing

Our concierge at the level Jose Minaya was very attentive and even bought me golf socks because I forgot them at home. The staff were nice. The breakfast at the level was the best sad if you love burgers, awesome ones at the beach. The resort is big but easy to maneuver plus they will pick you up with golf carts if you don’t want to walk to the main hotel. The beach is heaven. One issue is with other guests reserving spots at the pool and not coming back to use it and the same as at the beach.  [... read more]The towel but should only allow 2 towels a day do guests aren’t taking advantage. Other than having to get up at 6 am to make sure we got a spot by the pool or beach, stay was great.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: 2024 Family Trip

Rooms were clean and spacious, we stayed in a family suit with one teenager. Check in and out were smooth and easy. Food was like Cuba, I’m not super picky but not much flavour or different variety of foods. Same things are both buffets everyday. No vegetables only two fruit options. I lived off pasta and hamburgers. The pasta made infront of you at the buffet was the only things hot and staff wasn’t friendly. Burgers at the beach snack bar were ok if you got a cooked one. Italian restaurant was amazing, and service was beyond quick for two people. Japanese restaurant was amazing, sushi was fresh. The drinks were ok, if you found a drink you like stick with it. I tried different cocktails and most were not good. Pool bar being the only shallow area of the pool was busy with kids and adults because nobody could stand or hangout anywhere else. Beach was clean, ocean was clean. Lots of chairs just minimal shade which everyone knows travelling to tropical places.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Amazing Restaurant Staff

The beach area was always clean as was the pool area. Activity staff were energetic and creative with their activities. Staff worked hard to provide interesting special occasion entertainment, e.g. for Valentine's Day. The chefs provided a wide variety of foods at every meal. Most impressive was the restaurant staff. Staff were extremel hard working, efficient and professional. They were always cheerful and attentive. Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Loved! Loved! Loved! Secrets Tides Punta Cana

We just got home from an amazing week at Secrets Tides Punta Cana. Everything was absolutely exceptional, from the moment we arrived on the resort to the moment we left. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a pool/ocean view room on the 4th floor, where we were able to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We had a fruit platter and bottle of wine waiting for us. It was nice to have 24 hour room service since we arrived after 10 pm, the food arrived within 20 minutes and was above our expectatio [... read more]ns. The pools on the resort are stunning a little on the cool side but nothing you couldn't go in, since the resort is still new it was only at 30% capacity, which meant it was not busy anywhere. The staff always wanted to help, at the beach you never had to move to get a drink, pool bars were awesome, restaurants met all of our needs. The staff go way above and beyond to meet your needs, they take the time to get to know you and remember the little things...and that make a huge difference. We would go back in a second.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Too New to be Enjoyable

Fairly new hotel and so lots of things have to be sorted out. The goods: Beach, cleanliness, staff friendliness especially concierge The Bads: Food, food, food...good portions but not cooked well and tasteless, no local a la carte onsite either, lots of pools but water cold, seem to cater to a American clientele, entertainment caters for a younger audience and not much variety, sales gimmick for timeshare I would not recommend this hotel until it has cleaned up some of its starting pains a [... read more]nd get proper foods in the restaurant (maybe a year or so)

Punta Cana Princess: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is well kept! Very clean, nice restaurants, very friendly and curtious staff! It was not packed, which we loved. We also liked the location because we were set back away from the town in our own little paradise. We will definitely be back!

Occidental Caribe: Resort review

Rooms are a bit out dated and not super clean in the bathroom but not horrible.the rest of the resort is very clean Buffet isn’t amazing but found stuff to eat. Good entertainment, pool is very nice and big. Waves were very large at the beach and lots of people selling stuff on the beach. We did the tour with dune buggies to the cave/chocolate/ coffee and it was fun for $50. Also the boat tour that takes you to snorkel/ sea walk and that was fun

Occidental Caribe: Horrible

This is the worst resort we have ever stayed at. Our room was old and dirty looking, our ceiling leaked, every time we tried to use the bathroom tap it came off. There were someone’s clothes left in the dresser, my 13 year old son found a disgusting used tampon in the end table drawer. Our safe didn’t work, we had no ac so our sheets were always damp! When we brought all of this to the attention of the front desk they shrugged their shoulders and said all other rooms are occupied. No compensatio [... read more]n was given, they didn’t care. Our sheets weren’t washed once the week we stayed and my sons sheets looked like they weren’t washed before we got there. The food at the buffet was terrible, the trays were filled with the exact same thing every single day. 17 out of 23 people in our group got food poisoning including myself and I spent 24 hours sick in bed. The pool is nice and the entertainment is good, the beach is beautiful but I would never go back even if it was free

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Amazing Resort

This was a beautiful and well maintained resort. Hard working and friendly staff! The food was amazing, both al a carte and buffets. The service around the pools was amazing, I think we may have only gone to the bar twice to get our drinks the entire week.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great resort

This is my 4th time at this resort. The staff are super friendly. Clean rooms and the food at the buffet had lots of options and so much fresh fruit and vegetables. The beach is beautiful but it was very windy when we were there Feb.7-14/2024. Pools are great, we had no problems getting a lounge chair but we are early risers. Drinks are great and so many options. The only beer that is served is Presidente but I like their local beer. The gardens are taken care of and you can get a free coconut from the lawn care guys that open for you to drink.

Occidental Caribe: Good Times

We went with a large group and no complaints here. Room was decent food was good and there was no shortage of fun and entertainment. We had a blast and would definitely go back. Great price and next time would bring the kids as well.

Occidental Caribe: Not the best experience

Unfortunately, the hotel was old and the food was not of high quality. The rooms are very old and everything is broken. Cockroaches are running around the room and in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is of rather low quality, unsanitary. On the penultimate day of vacation, I got poisoned and was very sick all day and could not even move. Occidental Caribe: Okay for the price

Big resort kid friendly Beach was okay room were hit and miss some leaking water toilet not flashing Food ok For what we paid compared to other places service was very slow. Lots of lineup. Pizza was good but had to wait over an hour. Drinks were OK. I need to get up early to get Chairs.
