Moon Palace Cancun: Heaven on earth

Great place great food great room, great pools. Beach had lots of seaweed. Staff was phenomenal and friendly. The constant up selling including timeshare type was hard to take. The credits were hard to spend and every time you did it cost you money.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Amazing resort!

We had an amazing time at the Excellence Playa Mujeres resort. The grounds of this resort are absolutely beautiful. The grounds always looked well manicured and nothing looked out of place at the resort either, you would have thought the resort was brand new with how well the upkeep is. The people who work at the resort are very friendly and are always offering you a smile throughout the day. The food was amazing at this resort, every meal was fantastic. From the French restaurant to the Spic [... read more]e restaurant, and the Indian (my favorite). We visited the specialty coffee shop every morning as well for a latte or cappuccino. The sandwiches from the coffee shop were so fresh and tasted amazing! We had dinner at "The Grill" restaurant the one evening which was absolutely fantastic as well. The restaurant is all open and having the evening breeze come in during the dinner added a great touch to the meal and the overall atmosphere as well. The gym at this resort was really good too. I used the gym a couple of times during the week and was impressed with the equipment available, along with cold water to drink and towels for use as well. This trip was fantastic overall and I look forward to returning again in the future. I cannot say enough, how wonderful this resort is. It is at the top of my vacation destinations.

Sandos Cancun: Something for Everyone!

The perfect choice-this resort is set in the jungle yet still on the beach! Isla Mujeres Palace: Relaxing resort

This hotel was small and intimate. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious with all the modern amenities along with being immaculate. The room service was very prompt and efficient. Breakfast was good ordering off the menu or choosing from the buffet. Lunch at the pool side restaurant was amazing....fish taco's rocked! Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Very Nice Resort

The resort is clean and fairly easy to get around. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a really nice room down by the beach with a slight view of the ocean. It was a good size, clean and the location was very central to all amenities. The Mexican Restaurant has excellent food and for the buffet Ventanna is very good. The Italian Restaurant wasn't such a good experience. Very slow and not the best food. There wasn't much for night life. There were only a couple of performances during  [... read more]our 9 night stay and they were pretty good, but for the most part everything ended by 10:30. A disco, or a place to dance would be nice. The wind was very strong there and swimming in the ocean wasn't really possible. The waves were very strong and high, so for the most part you could fight to go in the water and deal with the waves for a short time, but you wouldn't want to stay in too long. There were activities at the pool regularly, like water polo, water volleyball and aqua aerobics...

Riu Dunamar: Great relaxing resort

The beach is the highlight of this resort. Beautiful beach! Has a little of everything for everyone. The rooms were clean and spacious. The room bar was restocked daily. Everything was very neat and clean. The food was great with lots of options for everyone. The staff was very helpful and friendly with smiles from all of them. The resort has a lot of room for those that may want a little space for themselves. There was no real options for snorkelling, which means that you would have to go on a [... read more]n excursion for that. The resort is very secluded with a 25 -35 minute drive to downtown Cancun, so this resort wouldn't be recommended for excursion lovers. But it was a great place to relax and enjoy good entertainment every evening at the spacious stage area. It would be nice to have washrooms a little closer to the beach. Overall , we enjoyed our stay.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun: Great Vacation!

Our family enjoyed this resort very much! Everything is a step above a typical all-inclusive resort. Loved the fact that there were no reservations needed for restaurants, no bracelets we had to wear. Service was top notch and everyone seemed happy to work at the resort. Beaches were lovely and we enjoyed the free water sports almost every day such as paddle boards and kayaks. Food was great in every restaurant.

Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Great vacation

We had an amazing time at this resort, the staff were awesome fun and friendly the atmosphere was great the room was clean and perfect for us the resort was very well groomed and clean the only place we seen that could be improved is in the food department it would be really nice if they had some guacamole and chips and real orange juice and real coffee not the powdered machine stuff we bought some BBQ sauce to offset the blandness of the food but all in all we really enjoyed ourselves there

Temptation Resort & Spa: "love the new renos"

My husband and I travelled to this resort from Jan 28th to Feb 4th. This is our 5th time to this resort and really loved the new Reno's. I staff was amazing, especially our poolside waitress Saby, she was just amazing, always there first thing in the morning with bottled water and mixed your drinks just the way you liked them every time. restaurants were delish, loved the SHE, Italian and steak house. This in our books is a strong five ***** hotel.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Awesome resort

From the minute we checked in the hotel staff could not do enough for you. We did the Excellence Club-not sure if it was necessary as every one we spoke to was happy either way. The food was great at every restaurant. We went doing the Super Bowl and it was so much fun! Would go back in a heart beat!

Occidental Costa Cancun: Barcelo Costa Cancun Mexico

Emporio Cancun: Great Family Resort

Stayed for a week with our two kids. Junior Suite Oceanfront Accommodations were spacious (but dated), view was incredible. Food, pools and beach were great and service was exceptional! Would recommend to anyone with children(especially young ones)

Isla Mujeres Palace: Great smaller resort!

Hotel 4* Pool/pool bar 3.5* Rooms 4.5* Beach/ocean 3.5* Room service 5* Hotel staff 5* Food 4.5* Great resort but a little rough around the edges. Very quiet resort with little or no night life. Mostly middle aged or older folks. Disappointed with beach and ocean. Lots of boats coming from Cancun to docks next door. Hotel has a small beach area and the ocean was not very inviting. One restaurant in the evening along with room service. Fish tacos and menu at pool restaurant were awesome [... read more]. Staff at this resort were top notch throughout resort. Nice double hot tub in room. Great vacation with wife and friends. Would not return to this resort although nothing was really bad about it.

The Bel Air: Terrific Ocean View..Great Holiday

My friend and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Bel-Air Cancun. I generally only stay in 4+ hotels however a friend recommended the Bel-Air Cancun so we gave it a try. Although it is an older hotel and could use a facelift in some areas there are many great things about it. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The view of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful and the design of the pool in relation to the ocean gives an impression of never-ending water. The pool and b [... read more]each were very easily accessible from the hotel so no long walks through acreage to get to the beach. That was a bonus. The beach was good and kept clean. We saw the occasional local selling their wares on the beach and they did not intrude upon or bother those who did not show interest. The food in both of the restaurants /suishi bar and pool bar was excellent although for a 2 week stay all could have used more variety on the menu's. All of the staff at the hotel including front desk, restaurants .suishi bar and beach/pool area were fabulous. We could not think of one derogatory thing to say about any of them. Our 2 week vacation was very relaxing and enjoyable. The most important requirements for both of us for the vacation was sun, sand, water and relaxation and the Bel-Air did not disappoint. The one comment not specific to this hotel I would add was for the full 2 weeks we were there it was very windy and the red flags were up all along the coast line so it was difficult to swim in the ocean. Not sure if this is specific to that coast or time of year however if I could change one thing it would be that it had been less windy. The warm temperatures, sunshine and salt water pool more than made up for it. Note: Not all rooms have balconies so if a balcony is important to you request one.

Riu Dunamar: Wonderful vacation at Riu Dunamar!

This new resort had everything needed for an amazing holiday! The grounds, rooms, pools, food, decor, staff, entertainment and beach were all up to the Riu standard. Traveled in a group of 6 adults and everyone had a great time. The resort is a great size that made getting around very accessible. The beach is crystal blue, with soft waves and there were always available chairs and palm trees for shade. The beach staff were also often in sight for drink service. The resort itself is beautiful and modern which makes for a more upscale atmosphere. Don't miss the Beach Party, the fire dancers were a definite highlight!

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Great family resort. Be mindful of belongings

The resort was amazing. Great activities for the kids. Food was wonderful. The rooms in Building 4 were musty and damp. The staff will bring a dehumidifier up to your room if requested. Someone in our party had their ring that was not in the same stolen from their room. Everything was wonderful with the exception of the theft. Please keep items on you or in the safe.

Grand Oasis Cancun: RESORT IS DIRTY

THE RESORT WAS NOT A 4.5 STAR, 3.5 MORE LIKE IT. The staff were amazing tho. Very nice people!! I would recommend resort to young people looking to party. Not a family vacation. The food was great. Lots of places to eat. Pool was grat very clean. The beach was beautiful. I felt safe on the resort and on the beach.

Grand Oasis Sens: Average resort

Rooms are nice and clean, beautiful beach area, several pools to enjoy, restaurants are poor - 3 are additional costs, 1 very difficult to get into as only 15 seats, 3 remaining are mexican, italian and buffett. Not too much to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, if you don't tip generously the bartenders will not serve you.

Oleo Cancun Playa: Amazing experience

Awesome vacations. What made this resort so wonderful was all the amazing staff. Rooms are so beautiful and well maintained. The resort is considered as a boutique hotel more than a resort. It offers an amazing service and quality amenities. The hotel is still undergoing remodeling new lobby under construction but hardly hear them. The beach is lovely. The staff work very hard every morning to get you set up with chairs and a tent. The wait staff comes around all day to serve you drinks, wate [... read more]r, food and so polite and friendly. During the day entertainment staff offer pool volley ball, beach volley ball, Taichi in the morning on the beach and aerobics every second day on the beach also. They also offer free kayaking to a near location you need to take the bus for 12 Pesos ( 1$ US). I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to stay at a smaller resort with personalized, friendly service. 5 stars all the way! Each night in the lobby from 8:30 to 9:30 pm there is entertainment like karaoke night, frank Sinatra night, Mariachi band, movie night etc. After 9:30 pm the resort does not offer after hour dance or other entertainment which we would of liked. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation with exceptional food in all dining areas this is the place for you. We personally loved the Almar restaurant which serve high quality meals like in luxurious restaurants and was able to go every night upon reservation. The food is out of this world. Beloved Playa Mujeres is truly an amazing place. The service, our room (a casita with private pool), and restaurants were beyond incredible. The staff were most amazing - super people. A fantastic vacation!
