Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Fantastic Resort with amazing food and activities!
This is the most modern up-to-date resort I have ever visited...eg. WIFI everywhere - rooms, restaurants, pool areas, all included. Extremely clean and well kept. The pool area is clean with plenty of chairs and shade and the beach also has lots of chairs and umbrellas with help to put them where you wish to sit. Also the beach is clean and we walked and ran it daily (5 k). Many people playing in the waves. The food and service was excellent with various restaurants so never boring. The staff ar [... read more]
Meigas Binniguenda: Binni is the very best
We have just returned from Binniguenda hotel and must say that this is the nicest all round resort we have visited in the few years. It is clean, the staff are extremely friendly, the food is very good, rooms are quite nice and the grounds are beautiful. The beach club is very small but the water is calm and they look after you very well down there. We will be returning to this resort again for sure.
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing rooms!
This was our 5th hot spot trip and we were overwhelmed with the quality and size of the rooms. The tub was big enough for 2 and the showers as well with multiple settings. We had a free 2 night room upgrade and there was a little confusion in the move, we were compensated with fruit baskets, champagne, Tequila and reservations at the Japanese restaurant. The gorunds seem expansive but it was easy to find our way around and everything was actually quite close. Plenty of chairs for everyone, enter [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Excellent resort
This resort exceeded my expectations. Staff were friendly, excellent food and drinks, hotel room was spotless and great having bar fridge. Great resort for families. Walking distance to great shopping and food.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: very good , not amazing
very clean resort, rooms were standard with friendly staff, there were no rooms with two queen beds so my son slept on a sofa bed, food was good but you must eat at the different restaurants on site not just the buffets, recommend the kyoto japanese food, pool bar and beach were great
Barcelo Maya Colonial: amazing resort BUT
We were for 11 nights. The first 7 were great in every aspect and then we became aware that there was going to be a convention. 2000 people showed up and service tanked. Staff was refocused from service for all and completely focused on the convention. Oon one day we were refused dining indoors and restricted to outside restaurants. Cold food and selection was a whole lot less. If you want to get the service you paid for, this is not the resort for you. They appear to want the commercial busine [... read more]
Meigas Binniguenda: Still very good but ...
This hotel continues to offer excellent service, clean rooms, better than average buffet-style food, very good pool and amenities, and excellent evening entertainment. The beach location is also very good. Two problems: a sewer smell in our room (and that of our friends) unless the airconditioning was on; and inadequate signage and lack of enforcement regarding smoking. The evening we arrived, we noticed a cluster of perhaps eight Canadian women smoking next to the the lounge - the only place th [... read more]
Dreams Huatulco: Great resort for both young and old!!
I recently travelled to the Dreams Resort, Huatulco. I was traveling with my brother his wife and my aging parents. My dad is 82 and my mother is 77. They are both deaf and have some mobility issues. The everyone was very helpful from the airport to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and made our trip great. The pools were easily accessible and the staff very attentive when you wanted a drink there was always someone there to bring one! Sometime we chose a quiet pool area sometimes we went [... read more]
Catalonia Yucatan: mayan retreat
it was a very nice resort, people were fantastic. rooms good. my only complaint was that a la carte restaurant did not prebook so waiting in line was long. but once in the food was very good. prebooking would save the guests a lot of time.
Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Amazing place, had the best holiday
Excellent holiday get away can't wait to go again. The food was the best and the service was exceptional. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a very relaxing holiday, the people that ran it were very helpful with all our daily needs as we do not speech spanish.
Las Palmas by the Sea: Great vacation in Puerto Vallarta
We enjoyed our 2 week stay at Las Palmas. It's ideally located close to the airport, marina and city. The lobby is the first thing you see... small, worn and uninviting. But as you get into the hotel things improve. The grounds are quite nice. There are two pools, one for adults and the other for activities. The beach is average. There is one main buffet restaurant with a good variety of food. My request would be for more seafood... come on guys.... you're right on the ocean... I can get pork an [... read more]

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great Hotel
Really liked this resort, the rooms were spacious & the grounds were absolutely beautiful. A lot of walking but that's a good thing. We do plan to go back to this resort. It's great for family vacations.
Riu Santa Fe: Fantastic place to stay!
This resort was extremely clean. The rooms were great. Room service made fantastic towel creatures. Dining room staff were quick and professional. Drinks and food were outstanding. The buffet was so good I don't know why anyone would be disappointed if they didn't get into one of the a la cartes. The ocean pools had a great view of lands end. The interior pool was a little quieter, which was perfect for us. It's a 20 minute walk into San Lucas on the beach. We loved it! We would recommend this p [... read more]
Park Royal Acapulco: A Very Limited Resort
While the weather is absolutely fabulous in Acapulco, The Park Royal proved to be somewhat disappointing. A very clean resort but very tight for space. Food was lacking, not even to the standard we got in Cuba ( No Bacon for breakfast and the selection at the buffet was the same for every meal, every day ). The private beach is exactly that. Don't expect to for a walk. There were no shows in the evening and very few activities during the day. We were hoping to use the fitness center but they wan [... read more]
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Fantastic Resort
Everyone who posts a negative to this resort doesn't travel very much. It could be that they are very fussy. It could be they have nothing better to do then complain. People need to relax and enjoy their holidays. Ive been to many places good and bad. We were in Cuba last November and couldn't wait to get home. This place allows you the want to stay and come back. The people are amazing. Starting with our friend Victor who serves around the pool or on the beach. Look for him he will take amazing [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Hidden Gem
The food, room quality and staff friendliness at this resort is beyond any other resorts that we have stayed at. The golf course is on site and excellent. This was our second time at the Sian Ka'an and we will be back again.
Riu Santa Fe: One of the better ones
Have never been to a Riu resort before, but would consider trying other ones elsewhere. However at Los cabos the employees are all very nice,,very good food and plenty of drink.Rooms are well kept, and every area is exceptionally clean. We rarely visit same resort twice, but would certainly return to this one..
TRS Yucatan: Really 4 1/2 but almost 5
This is a great hotel with a wonderful staff. The friendliness of the staff was second to none. I really couldn't say anyone staff member stood out, I thought they were all equally wonderful. The a la cartes we attended we very good. The buffets were buffets and I have not been to any resort yet were I find them wonderful....all about the same. The timeshare people (or as they say " travel club") were not in our face pushing their product, so that was good. The rooms were well laid out, comforta [... read more]
Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas: Very nice resort
The staff at this resort is amazing The meals are exceptional. Was very satisfied no one could go hungry here. The Italian a la carte was excellent. Rooms clean. I found one pool cold, this was the only one we hung at. The waiters were very attentive, Service was better then i had ever had. Just NO disco, and i love to dance.
