Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great resort!

The people who work at this resort are amazing! They go out of their way to give you the best vacation ever. It’s an older resort but very clean and well taken care of. Entertainment was fabulous. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great family vacation.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

This was our second year at this resort. The rooms were cleaned, staff very friendly and willing to help of you needed it. The food was great, the beach was fantastic. Entertainment staff did an outstanding job in all evening performances and daytime entertainment as well. There was one person in particular that made our vacation so much better, from getting us taxis to where we wanted to go, make reservations for a la cartes, and even a restaurant off the resort. She even helped us change rooms [... read more] on day 2 so we could be closer to the person that came with us. She is part of the public relations team Lisbey Puentes. She really went above and beyond to make our holiday amazing. We will go back every year and look forward to seeing her again.

Melia Costa Rey: Good resort

The hotel was fine but needs a bit of refurbishing. The beds are very hard...not very comfortable. The food was definitely above average for Cuba. Fresh fish basically every meals and fresh shrimps. Lacks fresh fruit depending on the days. The beach is exceptional, they manage to keep it clean. Lots of beach chairs at the beach and at the pool. The entertainment was very good, cubains have very good musicians and entertainers with great talents. Gran Muthu Imperial: Great Time

We just recently returned from this resort and had an amazing experience. Only a few drawbacks to note: some shortages of toilet paper in the busy bar washroom areas, sometimes ran out of cola/beers in the rooms or the bars, mint leaves (for Mojitos) but not unusual for Cuba and service and food at the snack bar was slow at times and food choices were very limited. The gardens are young but very well maintained. The beach restaurant was fantastic (a little more upscale then the buffet) and the beach/pool bars well stocked and run. Lobby bar was amazing with great coffee/drinks and again amazing staff. The food at the buffet was better then our last Cuban resort and it always had a good variety of selections. Good service! We liked the fact that this is not a massive hotel type resort. Snorkeling was great and the waters crystal clear. Truly had a great and relaxing time here and would definitely come back. Keep up the good work!

Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing Staff

I can't say enough about the staff. Our maid was always friendly, Alex the tennis pro was great, bartenders, waitresses, staff don't stop working. Don't go if you're looking for a beautiful beach. It was off to the side making it a long walk to the washroom and it's uphill to get back to the main area. The chances are you will find something at the buffet to eat. I'm a little fussy and didn't starve.

We arrived late on 3/6 and from the 1st day till we left all the people were great. From the front desk to the grounds keepers they were all friendly and happy. Great beach and good food for Cuba . Would definitely recommend and would go back.

Gran Muthu Imperial: I don't recommend this hotel in particular

I've traveled to Cuba before, this was my first time in Cayo Guillermo which was a beautiful place. The hotel however was not as great as my other experiences. The food was not that good and very repetitive. I actually felt sick a lot. The beach was very beautiful but very rough, the service was very poor and the hygiene was not great. I've been to 5 stars in Cuba and this I would rate as a 3.5 star max compared to my other experiences.

room service was so poor .bar tender refused to give black label but he gave to other guest. I am not heavy drinking its only for having nice time . I don't have say anything to you. as you know your resort is not five stars. your put law and resort on high level .

Melia Cayo Coco: Small quiet resort

Very nice place. Food good, but can be the same every other day. Every day was windy and lots of red flags. The staff are great and will do anything for you. For Cuba as usual beach is the best Now the only down fall is that tripvcentral never told us that West jet will charge for bags....How Disaponting that was, I was lead to believe that bags were part of the price Maybe post this or tell your customer this

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Grand Muthu

The hotel is a perfect size not to big. We were in building 4 close to pools and main lobby snack bar beach was about 5 min walk . The room we had a beautiful view of the ocean unfortunately the sinks and shower leaked no issues with water pressure the toilet hard to flush rooms are looking aged for a newer resort. Beach is nice lots of seewed not cleaned well enough. Pool are ok cold could be better maintenaned you can see plastic cups straws float around. Service is good the bartender are good some better than others the cleaning ladies do a good job but only give you 2 bath towels mini fridge wasnt restocked daily no beer .We tipped brought a lot of gifts and where great full for all the hard work they do.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Relaxed

Just came back from Memories Caribe. Very nice resort as it is small enough to get around easily. Large selection of food items, not the place for vegetarians or vegans, not many vegetables or salad selections but a great selection or pork, chicken, beef, pork, fish and pasta make on the grill custom orders and buffet options. Never a shortage of smiles or help when needed. Down side is the mini bar, only 1 bottle of water per day, pop selection would have been nice. David at the splash bar was  [... read more]fantastic. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Needs upgrades

The hotel itself needs many updates each room ( and we saw three ) has something that is broken or does not work properly......our room had no hot water Btwn 5 to 8 pm the shower was broken and the AC had no control for temp so it was either super high or off which was not pleasant ......the staff was amazing and super friendly

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful holiday at the Cayo Coco Melia

The Cayo Coco Melia resort holiday was outstanding. I cannot say enough about the staff, the food they prepared, the facilities and accommodations. Everyone we spoke with, even two 87 year olds, enjoyed the resort!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Updating Needed

We stayed at memories flamenco from March 6 to March 13, 2020 and the stay was nice, food was OK and beaches were absolutely beautiful. The accommodations need some updating, and we found that there was very few public restrooms that were available, everything was shut down or flooded. At the pool women and men had to use the same restroom as well as kids. And there was not any lighting in the one restroom. Neither of the doors closed as well. Usually you get a bonus for a repeat customers and we unfortunately didn’t get to do the dinner for repeat customers as it was full, however we did get an extended check out time from noon till 3 PM which was nice. My sister and niece came with us and they both had to shower in our room as their shower was just a trickle of water. No way that they could shower with that. Memories needs to up their game if we’re coming back there.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Disappointing Resort

This resort is only one year old, however it is suffering from electrical and water pipe issues. The rooms are large and pleasant. The bathrooms are also good sized. The shower walls leak onto the bathroom floor, and the rainfall shower head dripped continually. The maid "Yaitza" was very disinterested in her job. The towels were changed only once during the week. The balcony was never swept even though there was a noticeable covering of sand. The fridge was to be restocked every day with so [... read more]ft drinks, water, and beer. She seldom followed through. When I asked her for water and beer she told me she would replace it later. She did not. The daily tip money and "presents" were seemingly accepted as her due and did not provide better service. The food in the International Restaurant was delicious, as were the options in the buffet restaurant. Even though Cuba has severe shortages, the meals were varied and well prepared. The pork was expertly cooked and was both moist and flavourful. The buffet was badly laid out. The line of guests waiting for omelets blocked other guests from the hot service items (sausages, rice, etc). This was repeated at all of the service stations. The hotel is built on the side of a hill. The beach is located at the bottom of the hill and is quite a walk from the main lobby building. The sand is soft and doesn't seem to get hot even in the late afternoon. The best place to walk is near the water where the sand is harder. The water is clear and warm. Unfortunately I did not apply insect repellent and I became a large target for the sand fleas. I had many, many bites. These bites are itchy and last for three or more days. The servers in the lobby area, in the bars, and in the restaurants were friendly and pleasant to deal with. Since none of the service staff lives locally (at least a 1 - 1 1/2 hour commute to and from their homes on the mainland) you would expect a tired, grumpy hotel staff. Not so. I speak a little Spanish and tried to use it as much as possible. The staff were patient and permitted me to practice my limited communication skills. To a person, they were good humored about my Spanish. Some even encouraged my attempts. We brought soap, tooth paste and brushes, shave cream, and dental floss. These items are in short supply in Cuba and were accepted with much appreciation by the staff. We also brought tennis balls for the children. Laundry detergent is in short supply and will be included in our "gifts" next year. The rum sold in the hotel store is priced competitively with the stores in the markets, as were the cigars. This hotel did not seem to have any shortages in the lacquer department and the servers were not stingy with their servings. The entertainment was quite good.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Not What We Expected

While the rooms and the grounds were lovely, there were definite maintenance issues in such a new hotel. All the showers leaked and many sliding doors didn't slide. There were many tripping hazards throughout the resort, especially at the entrance and exit from the buffet. It was obvious that our housekeeper didn't like her job. Our towels were changed once and we had to ask her almost every day for a bottle of water. She rarely replaced the beer in the fridge. The room was clean, though.  [... read more]Most of the staff were very pleasant. The food in the buffet was pretty good but the coffee was awful. This was our third trip to Cuba and the coffee is one of the things we look forward to. Not this time! The International Restaurant was excellent, as was the Chinese Restaurant. We heard negative things from other guests about the Seafood Restaurant so didn't try it.

Sol Cayo Coco: Great resort! Amazing service!

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The beaches are amazing. The service is outstanding. The staff is genuinely welcoming and everyone goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The food needs improvement. It was extremely repetitive and blant. Great value for the money. Will definitely go back very soon.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Best resort

Staff was exceptional Rooms were spacious with modern decor. No bath tubs but oversized showers. Unit 5 had all rooms with partial ocean view. It was also just a short walk to the beach. Lovely beach. Great for swimming catamaran or snorkelling. Would recommend water shoes due to some coral. Can rent a cabana for the day for a few pesos (Recommended) eternity pools were beautiful but most people reserved loungers night before or 6 am. Very clean resort. We brought our own snacks but there is a great snack at to get fries drinks and great Cuban or Louisiana chicken sandwiches. Open 24 hours. Great for a fast omelette and coffee before going out on excursions. Night life in lobby was good local entertainment. A bartender made the most incredible Spanish coffees pouring the different liquors from carafe to carafe while on fire. Beautiful job and very tasty. Nightly entertainment in the theatre started at 9:30 pm. Local entertainers. Food is typical Cuban food. Did and chicken. Chicken and fish. They do have a few beef dishes but beef not tasty. Pork is okay. They offer pasta dishes but meat and pasta not tasty. Not much choice for salads as most vegetables not grown locally. Coffee not available with milk for evening meals only morning coffee with milk. Water is all purified so it’s safe to drink. Just don’t use tap water in your room. Would recommend as a adult resort. Next door is a family resort and on the other side is a rainbow resort.
