Playa Vista Azul: Great resort!

The beach was the best. Infinity pool was awesome. Other pools were cool too. Activities were fun. Night entertainment was provided nightly and enjoyed it very much. Only thing and I already knew before going was that food was a 2 out of 5 for me and my son would of giving it a 1. The best place to eat and service was always amazing ? was the burger joint by the pool. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Up’s and downs

In all we had a good experience. Food, service, pool were good. The beach is narrow and the sea is beautiful. The rooms were hit and miss. Our group had two bungalows, rooms 3201 and 3302. 3302 had no hot water and the toilet backed up whenever used. Maintenance came but nothing was fixed. After four days the were finally able to move to another bungalow that was in good repair. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. This resort is tired, it does have what you need for a nice vacation.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: One of the BEST!!

Memories Caribe, will leave you with many beautiful memories. From the moment you enter the lobby and greeted by the entertainment staff with an energizing musical dance welcome, you know you're in for a good time. The staff here are super polite and accommodating with anything that will add to your overall comfort. A shoutout to our maid Maria, who introduced herself as soon as we entered our room. Unfortunately, we had to change rooms and building due to a broken AC unit. Which the recept [... read more]ion desk, were more than accommodating to make this happen. However this gave us the opportunity to meet our next maid Jacklyn, who left us a beautiful note, since the following day was her scheduled day off. But the kindness doesn't stop there, we also were greeted daily at the Bean Cafe by Yusmilba's personal touch for your morning, afternoon, poolside coffee treat. Memories has so much going for it, the grounds are immaculate, the food was pretty good, the drinks were amazing, entertainment was electric and that beach was pristine. Perfect for a beautiful stroll along the coastline or the offshore sand beaches. But the service is what makes a difference with any vacation, and Memories Caribe scores a 5+.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing experience!

The grounds were beautiful, the employees treat you like royalty. Highly recommend Royalton Hicacos! The beach bar makes the best drinks! Gladys was an especially special part of our trip. Her demeanour is so welcoming and warm.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Amazing resort!

The resort was amazing. The vibe was good. The service was good. The only thing I don't really enjoy was the food out of 10 I'll give it a six. The varadero area. It's pretty good. Just watch out for people on the street. Trying to sell you cigars.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: It was better than my expectations

The hotel and service were great. But I would not recommend taking a tour to habana. I felt like I went shopping just to buy cigars and rum instead of taking a tour. The lunch was not good either. Don’t waste 150 USD for worthless tour to Habana. Stay at the hotel…

Sol Palmeras: Friendly place with great beach

The staff is great, the room is clean, and there are plenty of food options. The beach is great, as well as entertainment. Wifi works in all resort locations. We spend time during the Christmas and they had really nice dinner on 24th and 25th.

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Great Resort

Good experience!staff is very helpful. The salon staff is great. Beach is beautiful. Pool is beautiful. Location very picturesque. Beach is very clean. Pool is very relaxing. Drinks are great. Carry your own food.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Christmas Experience

I must say when we first got to the resort we were pretty unhappy with the food and our room. The room we had was right beside the shared balcony, and our sliding door lock was broken. However we got our room changed, and the food was way better the next day. Yes cuba food is cuba food, but normally we don't have issues with that as we can always find something. My eyes just about popped out of my head with amazement! The shows were fantastic, and the Christmas events they put on for the children was amazing! I love the Cuban culture with their children. So very nice! I thoroughly enjoyed the events. We also noticed they were roasting a pig and turkey outside so we went over to investigate. The guys there were hand turning them for 6 hours! That is crazy, and it was very tasty. It is a very windy area, and because of that there were many people wind surfing, which was fun to watch. We normally snorkel alot, but this time of year the water isn't very warm. So we only got in the ocean once. We were told this area isn't great for snorkeling! Occidental Arenas Blancas: Occidental Arenas Blancas.

It wasn't a horrible trip, but I will never go back. I would also not recommend this trip to a friend or family member. Guests brought by 'Aeroflot' emptied bars. There was no alcohol. They smoked everywhere. And staff persons were grabbing food straight from the food stations by hands touching dirty dishes. Mornings were even more dissatisfied because a person responsible for making fruit juices just used powder and water for payed guests and for her co-workers she used real fruit like: bananas [... read more], pineapple, watermelon and papaya. So many extra cups were there in the mornings. A la carte restaurants were over booked for me, because management decided to eat at the same time.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Had an amazing week.

We were 9 guest at the hotel. Age 8 to 55. We had an amazing week. A big thank you to ANNELISE the customer rep. Also a thank you to Enesto. This is our 9th time to Playa Paraiso.The hotel is old as we were expected but the room is always clean. When there is a problem Annelise my personal friend always find a solution. She made our visit always special. Thank you again Annelise. The food was good and always something to eat. Christmas day food was excepttional. Conclusion Hotel is old and need renovation but hey we were there for the beautful beach and friendly staff. We had a great week and we will sure be back soon. Grand Memories Varadero: Family Christmas vacation

We knew that we would have some issues with something there so we were prepared. Power outage once for only 4 hours, internet was spotty, air conditioning broke the second last day so they switched our room. Other than those issues the trip was great. The weather was perfect, the ocean was beautiful, pool was great and even the food was decent. All in all a great affordable family vacation

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: The resort is ok

The resort was nice but the food was terrible. The snack bar only had ham and sausage every day. The only other option in my 14 days stay was bacon on the last day. The food in buffet and a la carte was terrible. At the a la carte we found a fly in the cake and another table found a fly in the ice cream on another day. Stay away from this resort.

Paradisus Varadero: Paradisus Varadeto

Best settled resort with the view of the ocean from the inside of the resort. 5 star Beach! Cleaned every day! Water and sand spectacular Food- no one will starve. No one will gain or lose weight Actually for a vegan is the best place. Lots of options .

Grand Memories Holguin: Grand Memories Resort

Generally, I do not review resorts. I have been to Cuba over a dozen times throughout the years. We travelled to this resort the week leading up to Christmas. We got a good rate and I can honestly say it was one of the best value trips I have ever had. The grounds were well kept and all the staff incredibly friendly. They constantly were cleaning the hotel. Additionally, lobby bar staff continually asked customers for orders while sitting in the lobby area. This was greatly appreciated. T [... read more]he food was good by Cuban standards and they had the odd shortages of items from time to time but nothing significant. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Some of the cons were the two hour bus trip to the resort.(if they are expanding in the Antilla Rodan peninsula, they might want to consider building a new airport nearby). The resort should improve their communication strategy. Hand out a map upon check in so people know where to go. Set up a board in the lobby to indicate events going on throughout the week. The Sunwing nexus posting in the lobby did not indicate departure times for various flights going out. This small detail would be an easy fix.

Melia Las Antillas: Older Resort in need of refurbishing, but clean, friendly and definetly client oriented.

The hotel is as advertised. Older and has a few bumps and bruises. It is clean and has all the convinces that I would expect from a resort. The check-in process was very efficient. My room was on the main floor in the hotel section. The main floor was on the 2nd level. With lobby and bar. The restaurants were on the 1st with the entrance to the pool and grounds. The rooms are great, the bathroom tired but clean and in working order, hot water for showering and the towels functionable but worn.  [... read more]I asked and received extra water and beer in the fridge as needed. The lobby bar and staff were wonderful, with nightly entertainment with a solo piano player, and solo singer with a guitar. The coffee's and rum were the best. The dining was adequate with the buffet having the best choice of food. I enjoyed the rice and beans with grilled fish. There was roast meat every day: pork, chicken or turkey. There were vegetables but the broccoli, carrots cauliflower were not fresh. Roast Pumkin and squash was the better choice. Eggs and omelettes, cereal, pancakes fresh bread and buns daily. Sorry no bacon. The ala cartes were not the best, food wise. The pool area was great with new loungers on the deck. The pool did have missing tiles, but was easy access and clean. The water was cool but comfortable. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE DAILY LOUD AND HEAD BANGING PARTY MUSIC. After several attempts to have them play a better choice was useless. The beach was the best. Wide, clean and great for walking but it was red flag days when I was there. December 12-17, 2024

Sol Turquesa Beach: Unrealized potential !

The staff at this resort are truly amazing—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The property itself is beautiful and full of potential, but unfortunately, it falls short in delivering the kind of vacation experience most people are looking for. The main issue is the lack of guests, which has a domino effect on almost everything. The food options are very limited and repetitive. After a few days, meals became more of a chore than something to enjoy. The entertainment was also underwhelming. The disco was open but often empty because there just weren’t enough people. The theater was never operational, and while there were occasional live music performances, those were rare. Most evenings, you’re left sitting in the reception area, swatting away mosquitoes and hoping for something to happen. For anyone with mobility issues, this resort is not ideal. There are a lot of stairs, and while carts are available to transport guests, they’re not always the most convenient option. If you choose to walk, the alternative routes can be very long and tiring. That said, there are some positives. The beach is long and scenic, great for walks, and the water sports were excellent. With fewer guests, you get plenty of space to yourself, which can be nice if you’re looking for peace and quiet. However, swimming is a bit of a challenge due to rocks and seaweed—you have to search for clear spots to enjoy the water. In summary, this resort could be fantastic if it had more guests and a livelier atmosphere. Right now, everything feels scaled back, and it doesn’t deliver the full resort experience. For a similar price, there are better options nearby that offer more variety, entertainment, and overall value. I wouldn’t return to this resort anytime soon.

Roc Barlovento: Great as always

Well maintained property grounds are always clean Food was great People working there are pleasant, polite and always smiling. Maintenance if need are done immediately with perfection Pool cleaned every morning. Beach was cleaned every night

Hotel Playa Coco: Beautiful resort!

Hotel Playa Coco is a wonderful hotel,all the staff are amazing they make you feel so welcome. The gardeners have the grounds looking so nice,the cleaners are always on top of everything, those are the people who are often forgotten! The food is really good and no shortages at all ! I would suggest maybe some kind of entertainment in the lobby in the evening like they used to have but all in a great vacation! Thank you Playa Coco .

Playa Vista Azul: Friendly Amazing Resort

A nice friendly amazing resort. My travel friend next door had a sliding patio door that wouldn't lock. The Bell boy tried to make it operate properly but couldn't. He went up front and in no time there was a repair guy down with a new handle which he installed at 10:30/11 pm at night to keep them happy and safe. The food was good, and there were never any shortages except for the Saturday night before we were leaving. One of the A La Carte restaurants didn't have beef. At the Caribe Rest [... read more]aurant, there were pork, chicken, and fish options. I had the pork, and it was very tasty. The Buffet was always thoroughly stocked. The cooks up front preparing your eggs and pancakes in the morning were awesome, and the ones at lunch or at night for your pasta and fish entrees were also awesome. Bring a little square of wrapped chocolate to let them know how much you appreciate them or slide a USD 1 on their tip plate. They will love you for it. The wait staff were also friendly and attentive especially my new found friend Michael. The pools were wonderful and the poolside snack bar and swim up bar was pretty good. Maid service was excellent and IF you every needed anything, leave a note, with a USD 1 and you will receive with a goose on your bed made from a blanket. Convenient to get to town, a 15 USD cab ride and Benny's Cafe had the best lattes and capachinnos.
