Riu Guanacaste: Lovely, but not 5 star
We stayed at this resort the last week of September. It was lovely and reminiscent of other Riu hotels we’ve stayed at. Everything was very good but I would not have rated this hotel a 5 star, rather it was comparable to the 4 star Rius we’ve stayed at. One morning we forgot to tip our housekeeper (after having left $10 the day before) and we were left with 2 bath towels and nothing else (no hand towels or wash cloths). The next day we tipped $2 and were left with ample towels and extra soa [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Excellent Resort
This resort was very good and an amazing destination. The two RIU hotels are the only resorts on this entire beach. Food was excellent with gluten free options for my wife. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Riu Reggae: Good Resort
Riu Reggae is a nice resort. The rooms were clean and the service was impeccable from the cleaning service, the front desk and the bar. loved the fact that the bathroom had two sinks. It was my birthday week and they made me feel super special decorating my room and giving me a little gift. the only thing i would suggest is maybe improving the quality of food but overall for the price and the hotel, it is very reasonable.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great experience
Solo female traveller. Very friendly staff. Nice updated resort. Great entertainment. Awesome entertaining staff. I came here to relax and enjoy the beach and the beach was incredible. Overall enjoyable experience!
Riu Republica: Birthday trip
I thought the hotel was very nice they made me feel very special on my birthday they only thing I didn’t like was for such a big resort they didn’t have much option food wise everything else was great thank you again an hope to visit this hotel again
Riu Playa Blanca: Amezing resort
Clean hotel, courteous staff, large and clean rooms, buffet divercifier, clean pool, clean and large beach. The tours offered are a bit expensive. The reception is listening. The only small problem, the staff do not speak French at the reception and the representatives of Sunwing either. Otherwise everything was ok..
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Awesome Riu Palace Costa Rica
Awesome anniversary holiday we were looking at an anniversary vaca all inclusive stayed at many many Rius looked at the Palace Costa Rica and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived with Sunwing an exceptional flight coming and going early with wonderful flight attendance. We emailed Jordi Customer service with requests and he was fantastic. Every aspect of this Riu was terrific from the food to the alcohol to the servers the service the cleanliness of this resort is overwhelming. The [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Great people, fantastic beach
Overall an ok hotel. Pros Great, friendly staff Great beach Food ok Comfy bed Cons Rooms dated and worn, but clean Pool did not seem very clean and was not very big. Too busy with activities for my taste.
Riu Palace Antillas: Nice Resort
Nice resort! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We heard some rooms had been updated, but unfortunately didn’t receive one. Although the rooms could use some updates, they are still very nice. A lovely place for a honeymoon!
Riu Palace Baja California: One of Our Best Trips
Everything went smoothly and both Tripcentral and Sunwing service was great. The hotel was less than a year old and the facility was modern, clean, beautiful in every respect. Very simple design which appealed to us. The pool area is spectacular with great ocean views. Sunsets are beautiful. Beach is walkable and wide but beware of undertow if you go in the water. September weather was very hot and sunny every day. Bar service was excellent and by the pool service was outstanding. Great drinks. [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Great Vacation
Rui Guancaste is Beautiful and Clean. The workers are very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing at the Buffet, always something to eat. I find that it gets really busy on the weekends due to locals. A few changes need to be made with booking Ala Carte, long line ups, they should do reservation in advance so people don't have to line up from 5 pm.
Riu Palace Las Americas: Everything we expected!
My second time here and got to see everything I missed the first time. Riu knows all-inclusive. Very impressed. The shows, the food, the staff! I dont think theres anything I could suggest to make the resort any better
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Average Stay
The resort was alright for a few days. The rooms were nice and the hotel staff were attentive. The resort was on the beach and two seconds away from Atlantis. The resort had an average buffet and BBQ station. The a la carte restaurants required that you line up 45 mins to an hour before they open so you can get a seat. The food was not very good. The pool was nice but music was very loud at all times so reading by the pool wasn't a great option. When it rained the only place inside the resort to [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Clean and nice but lacking!
The resort was very clean and the staff were SO Nice, however, it was definitely lacking on the entertainment... by that I mean just having things for us to do in general. No casino, games room, events, etc. I felt like we were being pushed to go to Atlantis when we would have rather stayed on the resort. The food was OK. Very underwhelming. Also, there was often no food available except for some hamburgers and hot dogs left in a fridge (for who knows how long..) in the calypso bar. The coff [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Pretty good resort
Our stay at the Riu was good. The hospitality was impeccable, the staff really want to get to know you and what you’re about so they can recommend fun stuff for you to do on the island. The beach is great, pools are too shallow for my liking but still fun. Entertainment is just a bit lacking so be prepared to do a lot of drinking, or spend nights at Atlantis which is just a short walk away. Depending on how busy the resort is, you may not get to eat at the restaurants, people are already linin [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: 30th Anniversary at Riu Palace Bahamas
We did a 5 day celebration at the Riu Palace Bahamas arriving on September 8th. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beach is amazing. We went to Atlantis (literally right next door) several times to gamble and shop. After 9 pm the aquarium is open to the public at no fee. My only complaint would be that this is the only all-inclusive where you have to line up for the alacart restaurants, no reservations allowed. Overall, I would return in a heart bea [... read more]
Riu Playa Blanca: Great resort!
Hotel was amazing. Food was good, was expecting better. Staff was very friendly, they were always there to help and assist us and the activities were great. The beach is not amazing but it's really nice. Overall a great experience and definitely worth the price 8/10
Riu Republica: Best time ever.
Located not too far from the airport. Resort huge but very navigable. Use the post for directions and rooms. Bars, restaurants, great selections/choices/selection. Room pretty clean. Beach maintained.
Riu Montego Bay: Yaa man

Riu Negril: happy wife, happy life
It was perfect, we stayed in building 2, room 2017. best view of the bay and near the beach bar. Jenn Black of Tripcentral.ca was terrific at helping me get the most for money. the crystal clear water of the bay is outstanding from the beach we seen Stingrays, Starfish, barracuda and crabs. the staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and the food was delicious. ( Mandalay restaurant, pass on that, had better food at the mall ) Best dinner was at the steak house! Room was up to date and v [... read more]
