Sol Turquesa Beach: remember holguin

las piscinas son buenas, el restaurante es bueno, el lubricante es bueno y agradable, el precio era bueno, el snack bar no es honesto, Pero no hay taxi en la oficina, es difícil conseguir un taxi. La primera habitación era muy mala, no había agua caliente inundada, la segunda habitación era estupenda.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Relaxing experience

Nice lobby area connected by corridors. Room and furnitures shows age but it kept clean. One night the toilet malfunction but the service person came within minutes and looked after the problem. Service of hotel personel in general are very friendly and attentive. Plenty of food in the restaurant, Just stay away from the fish or the wine.

Playa Costa Verde: Good Value Resort

The resort has good rooms because they are fairly large and they are two story sections.Grounds are well maintained and have lots of flowers. It's a bit of a walk to the beach but it gives you a chance to check out the different types of cranes. Beach is beautiful to walk but water shoes are needed to swim. Snorkeling is not bad too.Bring mosquito repellent for the flies. Good selection of all types of drinks. Food is typical Cuban, but you can always find something to eat. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing resort!

For my first time in Cuba, I couldn't have ask for a better experience - starting from the resort! The Paradisus Rio De Oro exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Paradisus Rio De Oro - ROYAL SERVICE

Well I cannot say enough about my stay at the Royal Service. Had not been on vacation in over 25yrs and Bev Johnson suggested the best. Had a 2nd floor apt just a walk away to a private beach with a bar and the ocean view room was unbelievable .My personal butler looked after me and arranged outings (just me) and made reservations at all the restaurants which were in both lobbys (food was the best I ever had since I am a Chef myself).At nite the music and entertainment was super where I me [... read more]t some great people from Canada,England,Germany and USA.It was nice that my stay at the Royal Service was nice and quiet and had a cart at my disposal to take me to both lobbys. Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great resort

I absolutely loved everything about it. I would return anytime. Beautiful resort and the staff are simply wonderful. All so friendly and helpful. The food was great. I loved all the different restaurants available. Pool bar also super. All in all I simply loved it.

Playa Pesquero: Good value for the money

It took awhile to get oriented as to where everything was located on such a large complex. Not all A la Cartes and restaurants were open in early November as it was just the beginning of high season. Staff were very friendly and accommodating but do expect tips. Beach was beautiful and the pools very large. Pools are very kid friendly. Rooms are dated but to be expected for Cuba but kept very clean (this didn't matter to us as we were basically only in the room to sleep, shower and change)

Playa Costa Verde: Good resort

It was a good resort,, but would like to try a different resort. The food was ok not the best, you will always find something you like.. Staff were very nice the bartenders were amazing... I would not stay here again maybe somewhere else around cuba maybe the new resort that just opened Nov 15th...

Playa Costa Verde: GOOD RESORT,GREAT VALUE

The resort was good. Great value for your money. Dont expect to get everyhing due to the embargo but what they have is great and the hospitality makes up for it.Ask for Leo at the Japanese restaurant. He is amazing. Speaks at least 6 languages. Rooms were clean resort overall goid. Pool needs some cleaning attention The Beach is nice white sand.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Amazing resort

Fourth time at the resort and they are always improving it. The entertainment staff go out of their way to ensure young and old are getting involved. I have heard so many complaints about the food in Cuba yet the four of us had plenty enough to eat and lots of variety. My only complaint would be the milk and there are certainly other things that can go in coffee. Can't wait to return and are planning to renew our vows on our 25th Anniversary and nothing would be better than the beach at Brisas.

Brisas Covarrubias: Peaceful nice resort.

Beach is beautiful. Resort it self is getting older,if you are looking for no issue place,this is not for you.food is very simple ,almost no fruit or salad this time. Clean but many broken areas ,very old chairs on the beach definitely not enough .for younger generation nothing to do. Entertainment is very much repeating it self in a couple days. People are nice friendly helpful. Before you are choosing this place ,prepare yourself ,if is no sunny days ,you will not like it.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Resort could use some attention.

Yes the Resort could use some attention, but don't let this stop you from visiting! We are regular travelers to Cuba and try to use different Resorts each time we travel. One of the best beaches we have seen in the Country, the snorkeling was AWESOME! The workers on the Resort were perfect, we had a few issues with our room the first couple days we arrived but a quick phone call to Maintenance and everything was taken care of. We always go big with tipping and girts for the workers and locals on our trips, but this time we wanted to experiment and see if it would effect our stay... IT DID NOT! We gave out half of what we would normally do compared to other trips and it did not stop the staff from treating us with respect and kindness! Thumbs Up Sol Rio de Luna y Mares we will be back.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Look no further!

Beautiful resort, great staff, amazing beach with snorkeling and the food is fantastic. What more do you need? Almost every couple we spoke to were back for their 4th, 9th or 10th time. We fell in love on our first trip and we want think about going anywhere else.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Our stay at Paradisus Rio De Oro

Beautiful resort and would give it a 4.85 stars. The food was very good, with an excellent fish/seafood bar with a Chef and lots of vegetables. The a la carte Restaurants, are awesome. It is a no children resort, therefore a bonus for those who want to rest and drink. Beautiful pool. The entertainment was a step up from other resorts we have been in Cuba. The only only issue was with the airline "Sunwing" which I do not wish to ever fly again as they changed out flight at the last minute and to [... read more]p it with loosing luggages for 3 couples on our trip and made us wait 2 hours in the bus at the airport to try to locate lost luggages. I found out that West Jet and Air Transit also offers packages for this particular resort.

Playa Pesquero: Pleasant resort

The hotel, dinning rooms, guestrooms were extremely clean. The bathroom could use a little updating. The staff were very professional, considerate and pleasant. The grounds including the pool were very lovely and well maintained.

Playa Costa Verde: Great vacation

This was our third trip to this resort. We really like this area because it is a bit further south and a bit warmer. The beach sits in a cove and thus the water is usually quite calm. The water in front of the hotel has some flat rocks which are easy to clear especially if you wear beach shoes, but also provide good snorkelling. We usually did our swimming at the next resort down, which has fewer rocks. We like the fact that there is lots of shade on the beach and plenty of lounge chairs. T [... read more]he water was very warm as was the water in the pool. They seemed to be having a problem with supply of some vegetables, but, the neighbouring resort had the same problem. There is plenty of delicious food, so don't worry. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Probably the only criticism I might have is that some of the lights along the walkways don't work causing it to be a bit dark at night; bring a flashlight. We love this resort and will return next year. TIP - bring flashlight, beach shoes, bug spray and snorkelling gear (we bought the one piece snorkel mask and loved it)

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Excellent service

I loved the beauty of this resort. Friendly staff. Most of whom speak English. Very good maid service. Even though construction was happening we really didn’t notice. Will return again next year. Stay in blocks 16-18 they are close to everything. Bartenders make the most awesome Spanish coffees

Brisas Guardalavaca: Never again!

I just want to forgot about the fact that we paid so much money for the most unpleasant room, terrible food and very unpleasant service and the reception desk. We had to change our room because it was actually a safety hazard. Another room was better but still awful. Thankfully the beach was nice and some part of resort too, entertainment was fine.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: I enjoyed it

Overall experience was very good. Room was spacious and nicely done and clean. The food was good. The main thing I like in the buffet restaurant was the grill for lunch and dinner when you could select from the variety of fresh fish and meat which ones you'd like to be grilled for you. Interestingly enough there was one day when the quality of service and variety at the buffet was exceptional and I found out that the resort had some kind of big bosses visiting, so I started wondering that probably what I saw everyday was not the best that the resort could provide because I saw with my own eyes how it can be! The question is why not like that everyday? Drinks - I loved the drinks, great variety and excellent taste. Lorenzo at the pool bar makes the best pina colada's I ever tried! Lobby bar has great drinks and cappuccino. The beach is quite small and the beach beds are not good quality and the guard removed them everytime someone leaves and you need to ask everytime for them to put it up for you. No beach towels at the beach and you have to carry your own from the room and watch them like a hawk because if they are missing you will be paying 15 bucks for them. It was disappointing as other 5 stars I've been to had plenty of towels on the beach and you didn't have to worry about it. The section of the beach was rocky so getting in was a challenge but great snorkelling and there was a patch to get in with no rocks. Water sports stuff was great like kayaks, hobby cats, pedal boats. Pool was very nice and there was some entertainment by the pool. Evening shows were so so and lasted only an hour so from 10:30 pm it was just music playing from the speakers so not good for a younger crowd. The service was average. I would expect better from a 5 star and also don't like it when the service is so tip dependant. I would say the pool bar was great service and lobby was good but at the buffet to get a water or smth, you have to flash the money... Would I come here again, for the price I paid yes if it would be more expensive than no.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great value for price!

Rooms were clean, grounds were clean, pools were perfectly clear, staff was amazing! The beaches could use to have the seaweed picked up when it washes ashore but really great value for the price of it.
