Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: My trip to memories flamenco

This place is amazing love it here. I would go back again for sure. Beautiful beach great food. Very friendly staff entertainment was great. The people are very warm and couldn't do enough for you. Have been here many times. Love this place so much.

Memories Jibacoa: Very good

Good services and clean very clean rooms. Very beautiful location. The food is ok . I would like to go back . The staff is very good and follow up your request. I have a great time there. I will recommend to my friends.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing beach

This resort was great because of it's size. Everything was within short walking distance - beach, pool, bars, restaurant. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Entertainment was good too. This beach was totally amazing. I've stayed in cayo coco before but this beach definitely topped the last resort hands down. Couple of negatives would be the smell in the rooms and that I was sick one night and part of the day. The rooms smelt very musty/mouldy. We should have asked to be moved and I'm [... read more] sure they would have accommodated but we stayed put. I was ill but my travel companions had no issues so I can only think of a piece of unwashed lettuce that I picked out of my plate. Recommend staying clear of lettuce

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing Resort!

The hotel was amazing! The staff was amazing! The beach was amazing! The pool was amazing! The drinks was amazing! The food was okay! The weather was soso! The black bird was annoying! The trip was amazing!

Grand Memories Varadero: Incredible Beach!

The beach at this resort was stunning-crystal clear water and lots of fish if you venture a little further in. Two main pools. One of them kept getting flooded due to the rain but the other one was very nice and large enough that you could find a spot to yourselves. The food was pretty bad, but that's not exclusive to this resort. The rooms were clean, but smelt a little musty. Some of the lights needed replacement and the door handle to the balcony was broken. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Just ok

The hotel is kinda old. Our bed was broken and one side was caved in. The room had a very strong odor everything was damp and smelled bad. On another note staff were very friendly and tried to make your stay a nice one. I got the stomach bug 3 days in. The beach was beautiful. Side note I'm picky and would have went somewhere newer but this was a better price.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Good vacation

Stayed with a young child (1 y/o) and family members in April 2018. The resort did accommodate to have 3 adjacent rooms, but this required quite a bit of effort on our part (to return to the front desk on various occasions and move rooms once). This could have been handled better. The service at the resort was excellent. Waiters at the buffet had the tables cleaned in a timely manner and were always available to bring anything we needed. The buildings are not new, but reasonably maintained. There are 3 parts to this resort (we stayed in the middle one). The one adjacent to ours mirrored our resort. The one to the other side, Santuary, was for adults only (no access to their amenities). There is a very nice local market accessible directly from this resort with a bell tower to climb with great views. Highly recommended.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful time, beautiful people, blessed vacation!

This was my second time back to Memories in Santa Maria. The first time the resort was not divided into 3 sections, so there were some changes with regards to where I was able to access; however, it was still an amazing time and the personal care of the staff and managment was amazing. Being a solo traveller, this is something very important to me. Very safe and able to even walk about in the evening on my own. I was humbled at how they have recovered from Hurricane Irma which devestated so muc [... read more]h of Cuba; but, the grounds, the beach and the buildings were brought up to a standard that certainly was impressive and respected. Being an off season time, they were more than willing to allow you to change things up with the A La Carte restaurants, and were able to really offer that specialized care and the time to get to know them personally. It was such a blessing and is one of the resasons why I love to travel at this time of year. Will I return.....absolutely if the Lord is willing. I'm not sure I would enjoy it as much if were in season as it is a huge resort; but, for me and the time I chose to go, it was perfect......no lineups, no problems with longue chairs and getting your reservations...of course the upgrading to diamond club was worth it. In closing, the hurricane has really improved the beach in some ways.....one thing I really noticed was that when you went into the ocean, it was deeper and you were able to swim and play in the beautiful waves that were available on some days...... Rooms were very clean, food was fantastic, staff were amazing, beach was beyond beautiful. Grounds were well looked after. No locals on the beach trying to sell you anything. Fantastic experience, will probably return there in the future.

Grand Memories Varadero: First visit to Cuba

The hotel grounds were well kept, although not many garbage cans around. It Was our first visit to Cuba. Hotel was older but clean. A larger hotel, so a bit more of a walk to the beach. After a couple of days the buffet gets repetitive. A large variety of food though. Something for everyone. Would not recommend going in May, as it is their rainy season. Not to take ) this was upsetting. The staff overall was great they worjed quick to deal with all the water on the grounds. Lots of sand flies but there was lots of water!! Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: The good, the bad, and the wonderful.

A $50 US cab ride gets you to the resort. Furthest resort from the airport. We booked Sanctuary, which is adults only. Upgraded our room from a double to a junior suite, as we were past guests, and had our vacation cut short in September. Our butler recognized us from our previous visit, and was extremely kind. Both Jorge and Ernesto went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. We were booked in to room 32303, which put us on the third floor, facing the pool. If you don't like constantly go [... read more]ing up and down stairs, a ground floor might be more to your liking. Room was fabulous, except that the balcony has a solid safety wall, so you can't see much when sitting, whereas the second floor has glass. The balcony door was in desperate need of WD-40, and was a chore to get open, and the hair dryer did not work. 2 Bathrooms, main with tub, and shower, with excellent water pressure. King size bed with a fairly firm mattress, and a frame that could use a few turns with a ratchet ;) Ordered room service for breakfast, and usually got a lot more than ordered, and the order was correct half the time. Omelets were less oily from room service, than from the buffet. Best restaurant was the one adjacent to the bar, closest to the pool, at Sanctuary. There were a couple of themed lunches while we were there for 10 days, which were quite entertaining. Beach was fabulous, as always. Unfortunately, there are people who still reserve "their" chairs at the pool, and they could do with a few more shaded spots. Will be booking again for September.

Memories are forever!!! Every thing was great clean grounds food was good.needs more nightly entertainment eg dancing space dj would be nice? Very quiet after 10pm. A great trip overall. Thank you. Staff was fantastic!!!!!

Grand Memories Varadero: Terrible

Service is good at the restaurants and bars but cleaning service is terrible. Our maid only changes the towels and makes the bed. That's it, no sweeping the floors, doesn't change the sheet or tidy up the bathroom even though we leave tips everyday. Also I'm pretty sure I've been bitten by bed bugs. Which is not surprising considering our room never gets cleaned. I also find that some staff have no shame about tips. It's expected in this resort beware. Food is bland even for a cuban standard. Af [... read more]ter the 3rd day I mostly ate fruits. The whole resort as a whole is not very well kept. The public washrooms are disgusting , no locks and no toilet paper most of the time. I really could go on and on but the positive thing is the beach. It's beautiful however be prepared to have a peso when you get there, that's the only way you get a spot. The employee who maintains the area puts his own stuff on the chairs so he can give to the ppl who gives tips. Will never go back to this resort or any other memories/ grand memories chain since this is my second one and both are terrible.

Grand Memories Varadero: Mixed review

The resort and staff were amazing. once we finally got there with the flight delays and then long check in. they had one person on staff to check us in. after a 10 hour delay we miss a day of vacation. after being up all night the first day was a right off but we made the best of it. Grand Memories Varadero: My stay at the Grand Memories Varadero May 5/18 - May 13/18

I recently spent a week at the Grand Memories Varadero. Unfortunately our flight down with Sunwing was delayed 10 hours so we missed a night at the hotel:( Sunwing did give us a $15.00 food voucher to use at the airport and a $75.00 voucher for the delay which is appreciated. Upon arriving at the hotel, due to the time lapse of when we were suppose to check in all of our reservations ( 6 rooms in total ) were cancelled. My room was clean when we checked in and our maid was amazing!!! So friendly and always making sure we had everything we needed. I have travelled to Cuba before and was a bit put off by the food so wasn't sure what to expect here. I have to say, the food did not disappoint me!!!! Props to the kitchen staff, the waiters and the chefs!!!! The bar staff, wether it be the pool bar, snack bar, lobby, disco etc, were very efficient and so friendly. The mixed drinks were a bit off but to no fault of the staff. Pina Coladas and Daiquiris were not made with a slush machine, just liquid so didn't have the greatest taste. There was always entertainment by the pool and beach with music and activities which always makes for a fun time!!! Lots of charis and shade so there was never an issue trying to find somewhere to sit by the pool. The nightly entertainment. All I have to say is WOW!!!! The dancers in the shows were amazing!! I have been to many many resorts and I have to say the Michael Jackson show was by far the best I have ever seen. I didn't want the show to end!!!! You can clearly see how much work and time goes into these shows. The one issue we ran into quite a few times was the washrooms with respect to toilet paper and paper towels and the doors not being able to lock. A lot of the times there was no toilet paper or paper towels which is an issue. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they all work so hard!!!!! Overall, I had a great time at this resort and I would definitely go back!!

Memories Jibacoa: |Great Reasort better Staff

Just arrived home from a week at MJ, our 9th time there and it gets better with every stay. The weather did not cooperate completely but the facility and staff more than make up for a couple of rainy days. I am not sure why some past reviewers complained about the food. I thought the food selection and quality was the best of my nine stays, both at the buffet and the a la cartes From Kiki and Jose up front to the Roger and Alexei at the beach bar including all the bar staff at the pool, pi [... read more]ano bar and lobby bar, the housekeeping staff and the gardeners to the front desk staff and Sarah and Vivian I saw nothing but smiles all week. I wish all hotels had such staff. Can't wait until we return to MJ for the 10th time.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing for the 2nd time in 2 months!!!!

This is the 2nd trip to this resort in 2 months for us and we had just as much fun as the first time! There were a few minor issues, hard time getting a la cartes for 10 people. As Sanctuary guests it was felt that we should have precedence over the other guests as it was a higher cost to be in the Adult only section, which is what we paid for to be able to have 'first choice'. We requested email addresses from some of the staff and we wanted to contact them prior to our next trip to request the same building and butlers. An email was sent to these addresses as we wanted to reach out to ask to be in the same building with the same butlers and there was no response, when this was mentioned to those staff they just shrugged their shoulders, not very good customer service. They should be sure if they're going to give out their emails that they check them. We brought 8 more people with us on our return trip as we spoke so highly of the resort. Overall the trip was good but these are important customer service issues. We would definitely return to this resort.

Memories Jibacoa: Love this Place :)

This was our third visit to this resort and out 12th time in Cuba. The resort is small and intimate, snorkeling is amazing and the staff are super friendly. We love the piano bar in the evenings. The hotel itself is getting older. The rooms need renovating but they are clean and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower in lacking in some of the rooms but we always manage. The food is great with enough variety to satisfy but the buffet area is sometimes overrun by birds. The a la cartes are ve [... read more]ry good.
