Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: The Best One of the Bahia Principe Resorts

This was a very clean resort, especially the rooms. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful, and most of them went out of their way to accommodate requests. The food was better than I had expected...but still not great. Other than that, this was a great resort!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Gorgeous resort

We loved this resort easy getting around , great buffets, beautiful rooms , only thing is we missed the green carribean water , how ever the water was calm and the sandy beach is huge lots of chairs with hut umbrellas , could always get a seat, entertainment was good , , the down side was it’s around hour and 20 min from airport, out flight with air Canada was delayed 3 half hours , which we didn’t mind as we got to stay longer , very relaxing resort , would recommend .

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bed bugs

Enjoyed the resort and it's amazing beach, beautiful landscaping , and great food BUT did not enjoy coming home to having bed bug bites erupt on my legs and arms. This was a first for me while travelling . I want the mansgemen to investigate our room and get back to us. The box spring was very old and stained and I am sure that is the source. I expect some compensation.. We stayed in building 20 room 204.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Very nice!

I liked the grounds although to get from the main hotel to the beach is a long a bit of a walk up and down stairs. Staff and service are friendly. The food is decent, I particularly enjoyed the lunchtime pasta. It would be nice to see a bit more athletic options, maybe a half basketball court or something. The jacuzzi didn't have warm water which seemed weird to me. I booked last minute so the value was amazing. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Another super Bahia stay!

We favor the Bahia Resorts and have been to ones in Mexico, D.R. and Jamaica. No matter which one you are at they will solve your problem whether it be the AC, phone or hair dryer very promptly and correctly. Always very pleasant and try hard to go above and beyond to please you. This trip we stayed at the Luxury Akumal and had an Oceanview room near the infinity pool. So good! Food is available I noticed for gluten free and sugar reduced dieters too. All areas are very clean at all times. Entertainment was average but enjoyable. If you what to take the guessing out of a resort just book a Bahia resort. We have never had a bad experience with them.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not Luxury

For the cost I wouldn’t rate this resort very high, rooms are okay our roof leaked causing me to slip and fall our shower also leaked into the bathroom so floor was always wet. Rooms were damp, beware of “ocean view” we had a sliver of oven view and a whole lot of the vacant lot next door used for dumping garbage. There is no snack bar or ordering food at pool you always have to get dressed and go to a buffet which is only open certain times. Overall wouldn’t rate this resort as “luxury” mediocre food and drinks. Staff is pushy for tips and if you don’t you don’t get service.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Grand Bahia Principe - Mayan Riviera

The resort was beautiful, clean and very well maintained with lots of activities to keep everyone busy. Food at the buffet restaurant was mediocre and very repetitive. As for the a la carte restaurants, it was average except for Frutos del Mar seafood restaurant (the food offering there was extensive and well prepared). Overall, the service staff was friendly and accommodating. The only sour note on our vacation was that we were charged $25 USD per person by Air Canada Vacation for a shoppin [... read more]g tour to Playa del Carmen (only to find out a couple of days later that the same tour was FREE offered through the hotel). We filed a complaint with Air Canada Vacation at Grand Bahia Principe Coba and they denied our claim. We will NEVER book anything through Air Canada Vacations again!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Terrible experience

Terrible service from butler. Rooms are outdated. Everyone is looking to get a tip off you and never satisfied with anything under 5-10$. It was my first time there and my last. I hated this trip so much that I regret spending all that money. Laundry costs almost 100$ for a couple of shirts and shorts. Really? Overall the trip was a waste of time and money.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful beach and great food!

Just returned from the resort (week of Jan 5 2020). Flew with Air Canada Rouge with no issues. Resort is on a palm tree lined beach great for walking, snorkelling and swimming. Resort buffet was excellent. Food choices were extensive and varied nightly. We stayed in a standard room which was clean and and well maintained. Only heads up - room safe was odd. The room was very clean, always up to standard for a 5 star resort, the resort was always maintained as the hard working people did a good job cleaning, everyone’s friendly, this is a place for someone to relax and enjoy a luxurious getaway!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing!

What an amazing piece of paradise! The grounds are lush and kept in pristine condition, the gardeners and staff work hard and keep it very clean and beautiful. The food is divine whether you go to al a carte or buffet you will not leave disappointed and the choices are wonderful! The entertainment team are a fantastic bunch, lots of fun and we had lots of great interaction with them. There is a service there with carts that will come and pick you up and take you where you want to go and are very prompt with their service. The evening shows were varied and were satisfactory, the circus show was amazing! The pools were kept very clean and staff were there maintaining at all times. It was nice to see management walking around speaking with staff and guests. One week was definitely not enough time for us, next time we will book longer. Hotel is clean, nice and quiet, well maintained with very very friendly personal, good entertainment, huge variety of food, very good beach and swimming pools, seven restaurants, good transportation around huge territory, newly built

Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing resort

It’s a second time we’ve been there. It’s a féerique place. Food is good and it has a variety of choices for every taste despite a small place. Room is spacious and clean. The service is good. We stayed in a villa close to the pool. You have to be able to walk around because the beach is a little bit far from the main lobby . I was very pleased with the service provided by the office clerk Keldwin, he answered very quickly to our demands. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: excellent!

This is our third time at this resort. The last 2 times we booked the swim-up and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is excellent. Do not forget to inquire which evenings they have they have their specialty dinners at Palmyra buffet. Tuesday was seafood night and WOW! We were lucky enough once again to have rainfall only overnight.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: It is an average employees are not friendly

Bad location,the beach is very Rocky not clean lots of leaf from the tree mor rocks that sand the bar drink quality is very poor The room is very clean The Nightlife has no much choice restaurants when you book They're no friendly

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: poor service

When we got there most of the people at the front desk did not speak enough english to be able to understand us. When we had problems there was no "leader" who could be found to truly help us. Many of the times there were places without staff for the problem (ie for the shuttle to the airport)

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great Resort

Great resort! Rooms were clean, room service was great, beach was nice, pools were clean, always lots of chairs available, would have made more sense for the adult activities like the disco and casino, to be closer to the adult side but hey what can yah do, golf carts available to give you a ride until 2am

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Time

Good time at a great resort. Staff were wonderful. Entertainment was good! Resort could use some updating and there are some frustrating things that could have made it better. No ice! If you needed ice you had to order it from room service which took an hour! Keys had to be programmed every other day! No blanket in the room...took 2 requests to get. There for 9 days and only allowed 4 ala carts. Buffet food was too repetitive...more variety needed.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing time with wonderful staff !!!

This Bahia Principe Aquamarine resort was an amazing and beautiful place to be in January 2020. Everything was very clean and well kept. The bufffet restaurant had an excellent variety of food with great service and a lot of friendly smiles. The dancers were very talented and a joy to watch. The pools were very big with great entertainment and a lot of activities like volleyball, games and water exercises like aquazoomba and aqua spinning. Marlon educated us on the making of chocolate with cacao fruit and wine tasting. Willie entertained us with the making of coconut drinks.
