Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not good resort to stay

Rooms are smelly and outdated and the mold is everywhere. Toilets are dirty. Towels are placed just above the toilet. We had a superior room with an ocean view, and bedding was so old and ripped off with stains on it. I couldn't believe what we got for a 4 and a half star resort. This is not our first time in Cuba. We were 5 times before in Cuba and we were shocked what we got. We switched the room but it was even worse. The whole resort needs a big renovation. The beach is beautiful, but all b [... read more]eaches in that area are beautiful as well. We had to contact our Sunwing agent to help us to change our resort in order to stay 14 days in Cuba. It cost us an additional 125 doll. So Tony was a good example of an excellent customer service. He arranged our move to Pullman resort and saved our vacation. Thank you Tony so much. You are the best!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Disappointment!!!

We 've been having vacation at Santa Maria "Iberostar Ensenachos " since opening.It was named then "Royal Hideaway". We could see every our visit that quality and service is getting worse but was kind of satisfying. Our last vacation in April 2019 was very unpleasant. The room service is super poor, we didn't have towels for shower, beach towels weren't changed for 3-4 days until we brought up complaints, bed linen wasn't changed for whole week, after room " cleaning" still sand on the floor.An [... read more]d you feel it due no usual sleepers into room. Food quality and variety poor as well.We 've never seen in 5 stars resort complete absence of butter.Instead we were offered some unknown substance which even doesn't melt in mouth...And the last and the most inoying -moskitoes bites. Everyone whom we met there was covered from head to toe. So, our conclusion- not going there anymore . There are tons of options to spend $4 K for one week vacation!!! THANKS

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great First Experience!

The resort was beautiful with many different coloured buildings. When you walk in you feel welcomed right away. People are there to help you make your stay excellent and relaxing. There was a variety of food for all to enjoy. The beach was clean and well kept. The Iberostar Daiquiri was a great first time in Cuba!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Needs allot of work

The grounds of this hotel are in rough shape, loose wires hanging from outlets, man covers holes but only have covered!! Dangerous Beach was stunning but not hardly any huts to get out of sun as it was very hot. Lots of chairs at the pool Kids club was awful, this was a family vacay with young kids, so dissatisfied that there was no kids club. None of fountains were working, no water in them at al [... read more]l, the boardwalk to the beach was not safe at all, there were lots of loose boards, broken boards, loose railing, and some spots no railing This resort was a joke, def not a 4.5*, more like a 2.5* Talked to lots of people who go to this place every year and said it really went downhill in a year and they were very disappointed as well. The pool food bar was discussing as they had litterly 2-3 items to pick from. Always never had anything on the menu, always said they were sold out but twice we were the first ones served!!!!!!! We watched a wedding on the beach which was beautiful but they put the chairs to close to the ocean and the waves had the chairs all wet but can you believe this, the shuttle forgot to pick them up to take them back to the reception. They had to walk all the way back in the heat and their gowns and heels!!!!!!! Shuttles were always broke down. Lucky to even get one Stay far away from this place. So sad cause we took our kids and theirs on this vacation and it was their Christmas present so very unhappy

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Best vacation

The whole trip was the best. The view from the hotel was beautiful I loved the jungle feeling. The beach was mostly rock but besides that everything was perfect about the beach. The snack bar at the beach had the best food. Pepai was one of my best friends there and the cats were so nice one of them kept coming to my hotel room. Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Very nice staff but sub par facilities

The front desk, bar staff and recreation/entertainment staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful; they made the trip. The rooms however were not always serviced properly. When I checked into my room there were stained sheets on the bed that were not changed even after the room was serviced. There was no water at all for a couple of days straight, could not even flush the toilet. Overall the food was ok but I do think there should have been more frequent kid-friendly staples, eg hot dogs  [... read more]and hamburgers. Nice spot for a cheap student trip but be prepared to take a whole suitcase full of snacks, t.p and soap. Pilar beach was beautiful and just a short walk. Friendly people and beautiful views but hard to really enjoy the trip without reliable access to a shower or working toilet.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Truly an amazing resort.

Everything from the from front desk to the drivers, star camp, restaurant servers, guest services everyone was awesome. My family and will be returning there again. I would highly recommend this resort to everyone. You will not be disappointed.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Very close to pillar beach

Very good resort. But we stay in the ground level, at the first night my friend leave their beach shoes and some wet swimming shorts on the balcony, and they all gone by next morning.so take care of your belongings.

Hotel Mojito: Fantastic Vacation

What a nice hotel. We enjoyed the whole resort. We were last here in the fall of 2015. We will be coming back again. Our room was nice. We had a view of the ocean and the Adult pool. The food and drinks were great. We can't say enough about this place.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: ok resort, NOT a 4/5star

This is my 11th time to Cuba. I take the star rating one less than advertised. 3 star is more accurate. small dark lobby, bar staff not so friendly, couple rooms - all 2 singles, no beds for 2/overly tired rooms. 1st time the cappuccino bar coffee wasn't drinkable.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing resort!

We had the time of our lives here. Cant complain about much! Pool was amazing, staff were great, beach was great except for the seaweed which was kept up with very well. Food array was good and tasty except hamburger which was usually always very undercooked, the staff in the buffet were eager to please and would cook it longer if asked. The resort is very clean! Lots to do and see. Lots of wildlife which mind their business and are very wonderful to see. Definitely would return here again!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Been to DR 6 times.... Best one yet!

Clean rooms and grounds, lots of things to do with the kids within the resort, amazing food and great selection. The only thing that I would warn people about is that the beach swim area had a lot of coral with seaweed attached so you really had to go over to next resort areas to have a swim, also don't know if it is always like this or just while we were there but beach was very winding so a lot of blowing sand. Iberostar Waves Tucan: Great Resort for Fun in the Sun😎

Hello Travel Lovers, I have just returned from the Iberostar Tucan Riviera Maya Mexico and would absolutely recommed it as a lovely vacation destination. Who loves food 🥗🍡🍹, the beach â›± and sun. The rooms are spacious , lovely and clean. You have a fridge with soda and beer as well as a coffee and tea basket. The resort has a huge pool right by the beach, beach bar, snack bar(Great wings and ribs) and a second buffet where you can eat a lovely breakfast or lunch overlooking the ocean. There is a very cool Adult only swim up bar separate from the pool where you can enjoy a cold one and meet fellow travellers.🍺🍸🍹This resort is also full of wild life, from monkeys, peacocks, iguanas, flamingos, Tucan, parrots, koi fish and more. The monkeys are known to drop by your deck in the am looking for some fruit. They are all very tame.They have a different show every evening as well as lobby bar if you just want to chill have a drink and a chat. Had a great trip and would return to the Tucan😎

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great value

We thought the lobby and restaurants were well presented . The rooms were a bit tired but functional . Overall we had a great time ,the beach was amazing . The one downside was the folks on the beach with the catamarans were far more interested in getting guests to go out on the snorkelling trip they offered ,they were dismissive and borderline rude in their approach.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Best trip ever!

The staff were amazing! Always something to do at this resort. Beautiful spot ! Not once disappointed from check in to check out. Service was great, theater was a blast . Would highly recommend to anyone!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Relaxing time

Great resort, nice pools and grounds, decent food. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Food options aplenty. Overall staff not as friendly as other nearby resorts we’ve stayed at however we would definitely recommend and return to the Iberostar.

Hotel Mojito: BEST EVER HOLIDAY

Good times, Great viewing, Super Services and Yummy food and drinks. Only one problem, I am a disabled person and the only room left was on the 3 floor. The hotel and beach made up for it. Iberostar Selection Holguin: Ups & Downs

The rooms were beautiful, clean and well equipped. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from your neighbors. The layout of the resort is nice, but be prepared for a lot of walking or waiting for the go carts. We were in building 26, close to beach and waterpark. We did get rooms 2 doors apart as we were 2 families with our email request. The pool was nice and had OK bar service, but ran out of Cristal too frequently as did the beach bar. Have to grab chairs by at least 9am if y [... read more]ou want shade by the pool. Lots at the beach, but running at 50% capacity not sure how it will be @ 10%. Food was what to be expected for Cuba, breakfast was fine, really long lines for pancakes & omelets. Lunch & Dinner buffet was the same, no variation or meat or fish, no theme for the buffet to change up the menu. In general service was very slow, food not up to par for what they call a 5*. Lobby wasn't a happening place after 10 either, maybe b/c it was only half full not sure. Nor was the disco at any point.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great Hotel, but starting to show its Age

We have been multiple times to this specific resort, and noticed that from last year (2018) to 2019, there was a remarkable different feel. While food isn't a high point in Cuba, you could tell the overall food quality dropped from just a year ago with less variety to choose from, and less offerings of premium products (lobster was only offered once during our 2 week stay). Having said that, we continue to go to Iberostar Ensenachos for the beautiful beaches and wonderful service, not for the food or accommodations. You still have a choice of two beaches, Megano and Ensenachos. We feel that Ensenachos beach is the more calm and beautiful of the two (less rocks and shells you walk on as you enter the water and also less of a riptide), but the trade off is that Ensenachos is further away to get to. The resort used to rake up the seaweed in the morning, but I guess beach maitenance has declined. Its these little differences from the previous year that leads us to observe that the quality has declined. But in the whole scheme of things, we go for the wonderful weather, white powder beaches, calm and shallow turquoise waters and wonderful service. People will always be picky, just depends on what you personally are there for and what your holidays priorities are. All in all, family had a fabulous time!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Not up to par

My boyfriend and I stayed at playa alameda for a week in April. As a frequent traveller to Cuba I know not have high expectations but this hotel was definitely lacking in many ways. Food was not good, no variety,was cold and the cold dishes were not cold , ala cartel were terrible. Only good thing was soup. Rooms outdated and damp had roaches as well as in the buffet crawling around the grill stations. Rooms were not properly stocked next to no toilet paper and fridge if you were lucky was f [... read more]illed every 2 days and not what they advertise. Pool is much re like a wading pool deepest part was 4.5 ft the rest was 2.5 ft. No drink service around the pools or on the beach. Pool bar ran out of beer a few times. Also ran out of fries and pizza at pool bar. The beach bar always had line ups This resort is very short staffed broken glasses all over resort did not see the pool cleaned once when we were there. The positive is the few staff they do have are pleasant and friendly. Entertainment was ok. Could use more involvement and switch up schedules also there was no volleyball or soccer that was advertised. Wifi is only available at the lobby but early in the morning before everyone got there. Public washrooms had no toilet seats or hand soap. Sprayed once the whole week for mosquitoes. Definitely would not recommend or return to this resort.
