Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great for what we paid!
My husband and stayed here during the first week of December 2019. We had a very relaxing and fun time at Paradisus. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: -The resort grounds and landscape are beautiful and very well maintained. -Hotel room was large, comfortable and clean. We were given an upgrade to a large room in the Royal Service area because none of the Standard rooms were available when we arrived. -Lots of fun programs and activities at the resort and beach -Very friendly staff and se [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Best resort in Cuba
Everything was just top notch, from the booking process with Tracey Weldon-Duffin who has always been so helpful to our flight home. It is a smaller hotel which we prefer. Food was excellent and way above Cuban standards. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. We phoned maintenance about a drip when we went to breakfast. It was repaired before we returned so less than an hour. Beach is very large and more than enough chairs you didn’t need to reserve. We have been twice and will defini [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: A Hidden Gem
This resort is an absolute hidden gem in Varadero! The staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make our trip absolutely memorable! If you stay, I highly recommend the Royal Package as it is worth every penny. Our butler Joel was great and made our reservations for restaurants on the first day of our stay. All of the restaurants (other than the Italian) were amazing and in particular, the Cuban restaurant was our favourite. To the beach bar staff, Nacho and Lily, thank-you for your hosp [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princess Del Mar
Great resort, enjoyed our honeymoon there, weather great, customer service #1, we would go back there in a heartbeat, very friendly staff, the grounds were very well maintained & clean. The 1 draw back was the slight smell of mildew in the room but we got past that by opening the patio doors for a while during the day.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: NOT A 5 STAR ( 3.5 )
The bedding in the room was terrible. Sheets do not fit nor are they pressed. Most things in the resort require painting and general maintenance. Doors to room and bathroom need adjusting. Food is typical Cuban ( but that is to be expected ) Price of all inclusive was to much
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Ok not much entertainment
Hotel was clean not much entertainment or choices for food need food on beach running out of food Not much fresh fruit food choices only one pool , Same food choice every other day Need more to do entertainment starts too late not more choice for drinks 🹠in the dining area only pop or beer need a food place where you can help yourself to snacks like cookies all day not to have to be served
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Simply the best
This hotel is fantastic. I've been to multiple hotels throughout Cuba but this is the first one I've been to more then once. The beach is incredible, the pool and grounds are always clean. But what sets this hotel apart from every other one is the staff. They are simply the very best group of people and I'm proud to call them my friends. Most of them recongnized me from my first trip in February 2019 (7days), & the majority even surprisingly remembered my name. In both visits to this hotel [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Mixed feelings about this resort
The resort is located at the eastern part of the peninsula. The beaches are the best I've ever been on. The area is beautiful with the marina right next to the resort. While the resort looks great at first glance, there are some maintenance issues. For example, door locks at washrooms at the restaurant by the beach were broken. Not all the faucets were working. Patio door lock had to be fixed. Pool water was cold. Even the hot tub had cold water. There were some staff members (waitstaff, b [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Fabulous resort
The resort is overall fabulous. The staff is second to know. The lobby bar staff although busy, always aim to please! The buffet staff are exceptional! Once they meet you, the greet you every time you walk in the door with a wonderful smile and fabulous service. The food this time was not as expected, but there was still a variety overall. The beach is spectacular. This resort was recommended by a co-worker. We will definitely be back to this resort!
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Excellent Resort with amazing staff.
This was our second trip to this beautiful resort this year. We first visited in April 2019 and returned in Nov 2019 with 4 other couples to celebrate 4, 60th Birthdays. Food accomodations and service were excellent. The resort staff went to great lengths to ensure that we had a wonderful 60,th birthday party dinner, which was greatly appreciated by all. Our group was impressed with the kindness, laughter and fun the resort staff provided. We were amazed at how many staff remembered us from ou [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Good Resort
Resort is good and what you’d expect from Cuba. The staff is excellent for the most part. Recommend the Level as the restaurant included blows the buffet away. Food has gone way downhill since we were there in 2014. Beach is one of the best in the world. All in all would return.
Melia Las Antillas: good Resort
everything was good but hotel is old and bathrooms are full of mold this was not a great experience asking for changing our room otherwise everything was great especially Beach service people friendly great entertainment at night
Hotel Camino del Mar: DON"T GO !!!
The grounds were nice and the staff were great. The place was run down and the sheets were stained. Almost had to beg for coffee pods for the room. The resort was only one third full and it ran out of baileys and whiskey for two days. We have traveled a fare amount and this was the worst food we ate, we lost weight when we came home. Sand flee bites us all week. The only thing that was great was the beach. Seagull shit on the back of the lounge chairs around the pool, told the manager so they cl [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Needs some work
It was ok. Food was poor, even in the restaurants. Most staff were nice and friendly. Be careful they tried billing me 3 times for the same service. I kept asking for a receipt but they always had an excuse.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Relaxing resort
Stayed in a suite, lovely but almost dated. Very clean. Beautiful mature grounds and plantings, zen like. friendly staff, excellent al la cartes, buffet dining a little repetitive. Beach is close with snorkeling and scuba diving close buy. Large pool. Overall, beautiful and relaxing hotel.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful resort, feels like paradise
The Royal Service area was wonderful. We enjoyed the villa we were in. It was surrounded by lush gardens and had a pond area at the patio. The villa was spacious, beautiful decor and the outside shower was amazing. All the grounds very beautiful and the private beach area was lovely. The staff were so nice, they aim to please, lovely people. They make the holiday. The food was excellent, presented very well. We enjoyed the Mediterranean, Japanese, Beach bar restaurants. They had a pig [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: The Level only
Resort, marina, and beach are all beautiful. Would only recommend staying here with “The Level†package because of the private dining. The resort buffet was horrible and there is no way we could eat there for a whole week.
Hotel Vigia: Great Little Resort
Hotel was older, as expected, low staff and low occupancy and also saw a lot of rooms not using or under renovation. Visited here Nov 23-30 2019 and never saw rain, always sunny with a couple spotty cloud days. No more nude beach as the MGM is fully open and taken up the older west beach area. However, discreet suntan lines could get worked on to the east, just before the hobies and kayaks at the last few palapas. Food was ok, lotta repeats, omelettes and stir-fry if you wan't greater than roo [... read more]
Paradisus Varadero: Resort was great

Melia Jardines del Rey: Would stay again!!!!
My wife, two teenagers and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff and the service was fantastic, the beach/water was incredible and the food was above Cuba standards, Our room was spotless and very comfortable
