Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Vacation

It was a very nice hotel, the food was good , most staff were great the grounds were beautiful and the rooms were clean. Did not like the sales people bugging you. Check in took a long time . Arrived at 1pm and did not get a room till 3:30. We had paid extra and booked a Royal golden ocean view. Which we did not get at first when asked they said they would get us another room but not till the next day. All in all we did have a great time. Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: very good smaller resort

Clean comfortable rooms, great pool, superb staff who go out of their way to accommodate and remember you name, drinks and preferences. Very good food/drinks. Very good bands and entertainment. Very nice grounds with good landscaping.

Royalton Blue Waters: Good Resort

This was our first time at a Royalton Resort. We were very pleased with property. The rooms were very nicely appointed and clean. The food was very good. While it we enjoyed our time here I would classify as a 4 star not 5.

Couples Negril: Great Resort

The resort was clean but does need a bit of paint here and there. It is not big but perfect for our vacation needs. The rooms were clean and well kept. The room given to us at first was ok but to busy. We asked to relocate which they did. Thank you so much.This was a huge game changer for us as we enjoyed sitting on the patio at night and watch the beautiful sun sets and listen to the local venue. The food was good. Royalton Blue Waters: Not a five star!

All though the room was nice and the food terrific, this place was not what we expected. On arrival, we found our mini fridge empty-not even any water- no house coats, no tv remote, no working clock, a broken make up mirror, and even though we had coffee, no coffee maker! It took two days to fix this, even with many calls to front desk and house keeping. The steak restaurant was a two hour wait to get in. When dinner finally arrived, it was cold. My husband tried to surprise me for our anniv [... read more]ersary. While at dinner, our room was to be decorated and a bucket of champagne left for us. When we got back from dinner——nothing!! We called the front desk, they had no record of our request. And as for that dinner. They called to change our reservation time. When we got there, they had no reservation and we had to wait. The hotel kept trying to get us to upgrade to diamond service. The only difference between our bracelet and the “fancy” one was you got to eat breakfast in a “special” part of the buffet restaurant. Definitely not worth the extra money!! Lastly, two of the restaurants were unavailable. This meant that line ups for meals happened at all other restaurants.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing Resort and Wedding

This is our third visit to this resort. We were married on March 20, 2019. They wedding team is absolutely amazing and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The restaurants were all fantastic and service is outstanding. A huge shout out to the following people who made our week special...Chrisan our wedding consultant is phenomenal at her job. Our shuttle driver Rayjay...called our room on a daily basis to see what time we needed to be picked up. Karlene at the Poseidon restaurant does  [... read more]a fantastic job managing the staff and we seen her pitching in to wait on tables when busy and great with all the customers. Oceaia and Claudia are fantastic and attentive servers at Poseidon. The lagoon buffet in the morning is great service and the Sports bar is awesome. All the food we had was fantastic at all the restaurants and service by all was always great.

Legends Beach Resort: nice week in negril

wendy did an excellent job booking a nice week for us. i liked the extras, esp club mobay on arrival and the green card from tripcentral that reduced the cost of our outting - we went to ys falls. legends was a cute place. nothing luxury here, but wow what a spot on the beach. met some repeat visitors, and happy staff tells me someone is doing something right. not everyone will like the basics, but we dont let basics hold us back. we were very comfortable and happy. the sister hotel on the cliff [... read more] was nicer in some ways, more room to stretch out, bigger choice of food.. maybe others would prefer samsara to stay, and go to legends just for the day. go and discover legends' great location on that fabulous beach.

Dreams Rose Hall: Fun resort.. excellent family vacation spot

Resort was nice and convenient for us we were on main floor so easy access to lobby, restaurants etc. Food was great especially the jerk hut! And staff was friendly. Shows were ok. The rooms were ok. Only issues we would encounter was they only leave a couple of bottles of water in room we had to call everyday for water and towels. They were never replenished with what was used. Breathless Montego Bay: Excellent Resort!!

This was a beautiful resort the grounds were amazing and very clean. The staff was very welcoming,polite and friendly. It was nice to have access to secrets guests were spread out throughout all the resorts seemed less busy. Location was perfect close to the airport. The only downside is the beach was a little rocky along the shoreline. The rooms are very modern and beautiful. We have been to many resorts around the world and this is one of the best we will definitely be returning.

Club Ambiance: Club Ambiance, Jamaica, good &bad

Good: Amazing setting, Food tasted great. Bad: no hot water, no satellite TV as advertised, no daily shuttle as advertised. ran out of canned beer X 5 days, ran out of vodka X 2 days, ran out of Pepsi/Coke for mix, running out o food on buffet often.

Beachcomber Club: Amazing location

Grounds of this hotel are nice, but the rooms need a good cleaning (mildew on the floors) and painting. I was there for a week and they ran out of food almost every meal. Meals were served at all different hours, no consistency on times of serving and the meals were always the same. no variety (not really a surprise). The fella that sometimes prepared the eggs of your choice for breakfast in the eating area, on some mornings was excellent, very pleasant as was most of the staff, bartenders v [... read more]ery gracious. Coffee on most mornings wasn't ready before 8:00-8:30 if we were lucky, sometimes 1 container of juice was available. No cups or glasses for coffee & juice. They ran out of wine at the supper hour a couple of nights. Housekeeping was not done every day or even every second day. I had to request clean towels and cleaning of my room. I was very disappointed in the cleaniness and the food service of this hotel and I hope they clean it up as it is in a fantastic location.

Nice hotel, good food, good beaches and pool area . Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to friends. Had a nice water park for kids. Likes that it had adult only area by the pool.would definitely go again.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Outstanding Resort

The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton is beautiful! The grounds are always well kept, the service and staff are so friendly, never had any issues with our room, service or stay... top notch! The beaches were always cleaned and raked each morning and it was always easy to find a chair or some shade each day.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort for families with children

Just returned 2019 March stayed for 7 days had a great time with my husband and 6 year old son. Everyone seemed happy to work there my room was cleaned everyday but not enough face towels but if you called front desk they where good water park was fun but part of it was broken couldn’t use it but over all had a good time 😊

Riu Montego Bay: Wonderful winter get away

RIU Hotel Montego Bay was an amazing resort! Everything was close; the buffets, the pool, the beach and the bar and entertainment was all so close each other. The grounds were well kept and clean and had an intimate feel! Great resort for families! The kids club was fabulous! A wide variety of fun activities for the children. Pools were clean and big with basketball and volleyball nets. Beach was clean and water activities were available (paddle boats, kayaks etc.) Resort is close to the airport and a quick drive to town to shop! I would highly recommend RIU Hotel Montego Bay & can’t wait to go back!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice Resort

Overall, a well thought out location with all the necessary facilities. It offers a good pool, fun afternoon activities, several different restaurants, activities for kids and a nice beach. There is a reef to break up the waves so the beach is ideal for young kids. When we were there, it was quite windy but the waves at the beach were still relatively small. The hotel is about 12 years old so it is starting to show some wear but definitely a good option for a family.

Excellence Oyster Bay: Highly Recommend

Just back from vacation and highly recommend this resort. Mid-size resort, gardens were well kept, beach area for Excellence Club members was well worth it, comfy beach loungers, very peaceful beach area, no vendors trying to sell trinkets which was a welcome relief. Breakfast and views at the exclusive Excellence Club restaurant every morning was the best. Overall food & service at the resort was very good. Excellence Oyster Bay: The property was very beautiful, the service good, however, the food was just okay.

This is a brand new resort that has just open last June 2018. The rooms, buildings, and grounds were very modern and beautiful. There is a restocked daily mini bar and a very nice pool bar. The food wasn't spectacular but was still good. This resort has very nice landscaping.They do have cheap snorkeling gear but there isn't much to see and paddle boards and kyacks but the you have to tip the guys to take you for a quick sail boat ride. The night entertainment was good. The beds were comfor [... read more]table and the rooms were spacious with 2 TVs and mini bar and double sink vanity. We had a garden view room (cheapest) and it still had a lovely view with a hot tub and lounger on the balcony. There are some even cheaper lagoon views which may be boring. We are bird watchers and there were many birds to be seen including the Vervain hummingbird and shorebirds.

Riu Montego Bay: Fantastic Vacation!

We were a group of 17 (9 adults and 8 kids aged 4-10). The Riu was a great choice for our group, and set us up near each other, which we had requested before travelling. The hotel had a perfect combination of fun activities and for the kids and adults alike. A short walk from the buffet to the pool to the beach made getting around the resort very convenient. The workers were always quick with a smile and the service and food were both excellent. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not the 5 star we were looking for!

We stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe after booking a last minute. We had the ocean view room which was facing the pool and the ocean. From our 5th floor we had a great view! The room was spacious but the cleaning after the previous occupants was not done very well; papers underneath the bed (king size), night table had lubricating goo in the drawer. During our stay the room maid forgot things that should not have been forgotten. It was small stuff like, bottled water missing, or no coffee pou [... read more]ch refill, missing shower mat towel, no shampoo replacement. Almost everyday something was missing! The pool was very nice with activities organized by the GO's. Always a party at the adult only pool bar where they would setup for the day, but mostly in the afternoons. The many pools gave us a chance to choose quiet times or more action. The stone finish around the pool also made it easy to walk barefoot under the sun without getting hot feet. The waitresses are not very fast bringing drinks so we had to serve ourselves a few times a day. The many bars around the pools helped shorten the distance to get drinks but I found that some bars had better bartenders. We went to the beach at the other side of the hotel, small bay, and this was the best part of the holiday. The water was not too deep and the water was clear with a nice sandy bottom. At noon some locals push a raft/BBQ just outside the swimming area and serve Jamaican patties and seafood and rice dishes. These out of pocket extras were very popular and the only way to get Jamaican patties at the hotel. The walk from our room to the end of the beach was about 20 minutes. This is close to the bar and where most people would stay for the day. To grab lunch we had a five minute walk to a buffet with a great view of the bay and the ocean. There is also a kids water park and "The Village" with stores for souvenir. The entertainment at night was good but they don't have a dedicated seating area for everyone. So you walk around or stand during the show. They had a variety of acts that were very good. There is also the entertainment for the Grand Bahia hotel that is going on if you want to check that out. Our pet peeve with this hotel was the reception, waitresses and dining personnel. The hotel system of preparing room cards in advance and arranging them on the counter when it's busy makes for very inefficient service. The reservation was under my name but they mixed up the room card by putting it under my wife's name. After 20 minutes and the intervention of three employees, they got it straight. The dining personnel are sometimes friendly but they don't go out of their way to make your vacation a super time! This was our second time in Jamaica this year and the other hotel staff were much nicer and full of energy. We will return to the first chain of hotel from now on.
