Vamar Vallarta: nice resort

very clean resort...helpful staff.....had fun playing Frisbee and participating in the games,contests....great food....only complant was with air transat rep... not showing up for our Friday orientation meeting...I got the front desk to call the rep. with the number that was on our card..number was out of order...so could not get hold of anyone...would have liked to book a tour there and ask questions...thanks to the air Canada rep..he was there every morning and answered some of my questions.. [... read more].he was a big help...I now know who to book with next time......

Crown Paradise Club: What a disorganized and disfunctional resort!

This hotel looks amazing in the photos, boasts amazing reviews of the kid-friendly amenities, and seems like a perfect place for both children and adults alike to unwind in comfort. Unfortunately, this understaffed poorly housekept, non-hospitable resort is far from the fantasy portrayed in its descriptions. The rooms and hallways were poorly looked after leaving garbage from past and present guests for days at a time. The pools, at times smelling of urine, were glazed over with sunscreen whi [... read more]le the poolsides were overcrowded with empty cups and other guest's trash. Reservations at the a la carte restaurants were a nightmare to book as the reservations desk would infrequently answer the phone when called while conceierge personnel refused to assist as the restaurants were "not their responsibility". Noise is out of control; children swarming the halls daily past midnight with no security to ensure tranquility in the sleeping areas. Walls are paper thin and equipment noise both on and off the resort hummed and crackled at all hours. The list continues... Overall, if your wishing for a Mexican Chucky Cheese that provides inadequate service, mediucocre cuisine, and second rate children themed entertainment - this is it. Take your spouse and relax....

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Exceeded our expectations!

We were pleasantly surprised on every level! Resort was very clean including our room - No bugs anywhere Buffet and snack bar food was really good overall, fruits and salads were always really fresh A la cart restaurants were excellent! Our favorites were the Thai / Japanese and the Piccolo Italian Service was exceptional everywhere in the resort - the buffets, lounges, bars, a la carts, including booking dinner and the Transat reps . We chose Royal Decameron on its reputation for being friendly and social, both employees and vacationers. Also walking distance to Bucerias (which we also loved), shopping and drinks on the beach. We were in building 3, with an ocean view and close enough to all activities but not to noisy at all. We loved this resort, and would definitely return. It was the best value for our dollar. Crown Paradise Golden: Great resort

The cleanliness of the resort was very good. My wife and I had a great time. Service was quick to get to us when we had a problem with the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful, Jose was a great waiter The food was good but a better assortment at the buffet would be great. Too much chemicals in the pool but I could see why as some people never left it to go to the bathroom Overall great time thank you

Riu Flamingos: Great service, good food, rooms to be improved

The layout of the resort is great. Family / kids friendly, 2 pools (one more of a families with kids type of pool), decent variety of food and extremely friendly staff. Activities and competitions during the day to keep folks entertained. Daily shows at evening by the crew (main area) and "guest performers" by the lobby area where nice. Location is not bad (it's a resort area, hotels are a bit isolated). Located very close to Bucerias village and the town of Puerto Vallarta with a fairly short  [... read more]and inexpensive taxi ride to either of those. Outside, there's plenty of attractions. Highly recommended is ziplining with Adventure Vallarta. The one thing that didn't make it a perfect review was the rooms. For a 5-start hotel the rooms are really far from what one would expect. Ignoring the rooms, everything else is a good deal overall.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: excellent resort

Dining opportunities at 4 restaurants and the main buffet type restaurant.No bookings required.Perfect. Food was very good and plenty of variety. Rooms clean,comfortable and marvelous view from our deck. Fiesta room gave us breakfast opportunities on our floor and alcohol and snacks in the evening. Well run resort with everything we needed to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: It is what it is...

Zero complaints about the staff, rooms, wi-fi, pool, beach area, bars, location or dining. There is also a huge local grocery store and a pharmacy a block away that has anything you could ever want in case you forgot it at home. However, we did not realize that the pool and pool bar would be jammed up with so many locals. I did witness a local guy having sex with his girl "quietly" one afternoon in the heavily packed pool. Also I watched a bird poop in one of the salad containers at the outdoo [... read more]r BBQ night. After finally finding an english speaking staff member, they removed that salad from the buffet. A wedding was going on one night just behind the pool area. It was very loud and confusing because the pool area had a local band every night and the wedding had its own DJ. You can hear everything that happens outside in your room, but they did have everything fairly quiet by 1am every single night. There were a few private parties going on in the hotel, but most didn't last much into the night. There are things that are out of control of the hotel and its staff. They certainly were not at fault for any of the events that I had witnessed. Our room was spotless. Not the most secure looking place, but very clean and air conditioned. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, believe it or not!

The staff make the difference at the Riu. The location is great and so was the food. It was all a very pleasant surprise and good value for money. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional,.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Resort

This resort is a great size, not too big but big enough to have variety in foods, bars, pools etc. Adult only pool gives a quieter location. Yoga on the beach every morning. Great shows at night. Beach is great. Bucerias is so close to walk to and check out all the markets there. Five A La Carte restaurants to choose from. Two buffets. All in all a great location with great value. I would definitely go again.

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Amazing Resort

We all feel that this resort is a 9 out of 10. The grounds were always kept clean at all times. The food was amazing and the shows were very enjoyable. The only negative thought we have is that there was a lot of walking between restaurants for someone who had to use a walker or wheelchair. We were welcomed with a complementary gift.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Perfect vacation

Absolutely nothing to complain about ... Flights were on time Hotel was way above expectations Food was great every meal of every day. Pool and beach fantastic. Weather phenomenal and sunsets amazing. We got a very good last minute price but even at full price this place would not disappoint. If I had to whine about something just so anyone reading this doesn't think it's a fake review I would say the beds kinda sucked. Super loud diaper like mattress covers that were sewn on. And the [... read more] pull out couch bed for my daughter was pretty brutal. Not dirty or anything. Just really poor quality. And some ppl might think I'm weird. But sometimes the service was " too attentive". If u know what i mean. Every single person who works there asks you if everything is ok at every moment in time. Riu Flamingos: Great short getaway

My sister and I went for a 4 night stay. The location, beach, and pools were great! The rooms and restaurants were a 6/10. The beach is very sandy and has beautiful views of the mountains. There is an adult pool and kids pool, however the children do go to both. There are many bars and bar carts located throughout the pool area. For a short trip, it's a good value and stay.

Riu Flamingos: Beautiful & Amazing resort!!

The room was very nice lots of room & comfortable bed, Dinning area had lots of selections and food was amazing 😉! The grounds were very well kept clean & there was always someone cleaning up after everyone! I would definitely return to this resort!! Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing Resort

The staff was great could not do enough for you. Nice clean rooms; always things to do if you wanted, nice quiet areas if you wanted. Food was great nice selection at buffet and 4 very good restaurants to choose from.

Flamingo Vallarta: Great Resort

The Flamingo is a small hotel with a great location at the Marina. During our stay the main outdoor dining area was closed for repair so we did not fully appreciate the out door space until it reopened mid week. The grounds are well kept, the pool area and pool are very clean. The lobby is quaint and has an elevator which made it a breeze for luggage. We were in room 322 which had a great balcony overlooking the pool and the Marina. The location at the Marina is cool, you step right onto the [... read more] boardwalk from the grounds and are able to walk the full length of the Marina with access to tons of restaurants. Thursday evening is Market day at the Marina and draws a great group of vendors that are totally different from the flea market vendors. My only downside was the smallish pool area. The pool music was loud and geared to a fifteen year old. With no other outdoor space to enjoy that did not have the thump, thump, thump music blasting it was hard for us to sit and chill. The positive of this was that my husband and I jumped on the local bus everyday and explored the beach towns north and south of Vallarta. It is such a great, inexpensive, safe way to explore.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Paradise at the Riu Palace Pacifico

Our group of 14 travelled to the Pacifico from April 7-14 2017. We couldn't have asked for a better resort to suit all of our needs. Travellers ages ranging from 16-87,3 adults needing special services, and 3 of our guests meeting up with us from Scotland. I did find that we had better luck booking 3 tables to accommodate our large group. The beach was fantastic. We took a cab into Buccarias for the market and discovered a fab bar on the beach called Fat Boys. It was a great, safe afternoon out. Our kids took a cab into Puerto Vallarta one evening for dinner. Great experience for them as well. It was a memorable family vacation for us, and very special. The Riu Palace Pacifico is wonderful. We will definitely return. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Loved it'

If you're looking for luxury, this is not your resort. But if you want clean rooms, good food, well kept gardens, pools, beaches and fantastic people, this is the place to go. We loved heading into Bucerias daily as well. We will for sure return!

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Well run resort

Very well run resort. You don't have to get in line and book your dinners and there was always a table ready when we wanted to eat . The smaller shows around the pool were much nicer than the big productions put on late at night at other resorts I have stayed at in the past. The beach ,pool and resort were kept clean and the food was great. Premium alcohol was available for no extra charge. Everyone was polite and friendly. The only negative thing I could say was the service at the beach was [... read more] either slow or non existent, but as it was only a 30 foot walk to the bar it was not really a hardship.

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Quality and friendly accomadions

This hotel is one of our favorites as we've been there 4 times now, The staff is helpful, the food is excellent, the grounds are kept very nice, the beach is clean, and the bartenders and servers are the best( Hugo and Judith). Some of the shows were very good, but the people who are trying to sign up timeshare and other things are a real nuisance and need to take the hint when you say NO thanks!. All in all we would return there again.

Riu Vallarta: Great beach!!

Pretty good resort. Beaches were perfect and the drinks never stopped at the pool bar where Pedro served. That guy was amazing. My only issue is that the beds are soo hard. By back is still recovering 😵
