Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: ONE OF THE BEST ALL INCLUSIVE'S I'VE EXPERIENCED

This has been my second experience staying at Iberostar Ensenachos. Both visits were fantastic. The rooms, maid service were excellent. The grounds are magnificent and very well maintained and the gardeners are very friendly. The foyer and gathering area before dinner was lovely and relaxing, and always had great entertainment (music) before dinner. The food was good in the dining room and my favorite a la cartes were the Mediterranean, Asian and Cuban. On the down side, it was difficult to g [... read more]et fresh towels for the beach, and also beach lounges were claimed very early in the morning-not a problem for me, as I like the sun, but for those who seek some shade from umbrellas it would be a bit more difficult. All in all, though ,a wonderful stay and the staff are very friendly, willing to help and certainly cater to their guests. I certainly would consider a" return visit". My thanks to all!!!

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Clean Resort

The hotels grounds were very well kept and maintained. The hotel room toilet and AC worked and there was always plenty of hot water in our villa. The only issue we had during our stay was our safe battery had died in the room right before supper time, we called the front desk and the battery was changed out within 10 minutes! The food at the resort was vast but the buffet had mostly basic foods with not much flavor. The ala carte restaurants were much better than the buffet but you are only allo [... read more]wed 3 during your stay(Always order the beef, girlfriend ordered chicken and got chicken wings and not chicken breast). The pools were clean and the beach had lots of Palapas and sun chairs. We saw the beach operator with his tractor cleaning the sand every day.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice Resort

I think it was a pleasent experience staying at the Iberastar Costa Dorada Resort. To give context to my review I will have to add that we were a total of 8 adults 5 children travelling to this Resort. Upon arrival I was pleased to see how clean and beautiful the Resort was. The staff were very freindly, welcoming and helpful. They tried their best to accomodate us all close to each other, as we were four families in total. However, we had to wait three plus hours to be able to finally get rooms [... read more]. The room we got a had beautiful ocean view. The room was very clean and on the most part, modern. I will have to add that we asked for a crib for our little girl and when it arrived we noticed a small roach inside of it. We decided to not use it, obviously and let our daughter sleep with us instead. I did not see anymore insects inside our room however, in my sisters room next door they had found two on the wall. During the course of our stay, there were occasions that I saw a man walking around the building with spraying equiptment. I’m assuming he was going into the rooms that had roaches and insects in them. I think its also important to note that the noise level was very umcomfortabl at night and not easy to sleep with. From my room I could hear loud music and in the morning I would get woken up from the kitchn trollies that were being moved around to different parts of the hotel with many plates and glasses in them.The peacokes were beautiful watch as they are let to roam around the hotel but were very noisy, specailly early in the morning. So I would advise that you bring ear plugs. The food was alright, a bit repetative I think. But I would advice you stay away from the sea food. On the last night we had reservations for the greek restaurant which is the snack bar during the day and they served a lot of sea food which caused most of the family to experience stomach problems afterwards. Then again, it could be that we are not used to eating that much sea food and not so much the way they cook it. The highlight of the trip was probably the Japanese restaurant which had a small kitchen for each table and you are able to watc the chef cool you food. The sushi starters were amazingly delicious. The pool was large and I enjoyed that they had a shallow and a deep end (deep meaning it would go as high as my neck when standing on my tipy toes, Im short too). They also had a kitty pool which I would have used more for my daughter but it had no shaded areas and the sun would blare down on us. So we stayed away from that and used the big pool and stayed close to the edges for the shaded areas. The beach was not the greatest. There was a lot of green stuff by the shore and it was not pleasent to swim in. On, the positive side the staff were great as I said and go above and beyond to accomodate you. The place is very well maintained.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: It was good to be on vacation

I will start off with "it was okay" people come here to get away from their busy lives but coming here did not provide any reprieve. The positive features of the resort is the cleanliness of the rooms, facilities, pools and lounge areas, my friends and I never had a problem the whole 7 days we were there. Staff is polite and not too pushy for tips, food was very good with a variety to choose from. Unfortunately that’s about it for positive notes, the resort is very small with not much to [... read more] do, my friends and I tried going on excursions to pass the time except any activity is extremely expensive. Mexican Pesos is a waste don’t bother with it they only use USD, if you try paying in Peso they convert it over costing you twice in conversion rates. My friends and I thought we’d try was scuba diving which once again isn’t cheap, and I recommend avoiding, the dive club on the beach is a big scam they’ll take your money and not give it back when the weather cancels the dive. I had the star prestige upgrade too which is a colossal waste, it is just a small hut at the corner of the resort that was too much of an inconvenience to go to and the rest of the resort didn’t do anything for prestige upgraded passes. Only when it was time to go home did I begin to relax, I felt like I was trapped on timeshare prison island getting flogged by sales and marketing people all day. Many people there only stayed 3 or 4 nights which is very smart, avoid staying a whole week it is very stressful.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Wonderful experience with Colonial!

The hotel has very unique architecture and beautiful landscaping, not overcrowded, plenty of space, just enough activities, beach is like on those post cards: pristine water and white sand. Food is good, there were enough choices of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. There was nothing that we didn’t like. We enjoyed every moment of our stay! Will definitely recommend Colonial, and we will go there again!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Blue water and warm sand

This was our second visit to Laguna Azul. The lobby has lots of comfortable seating with a piano and outside patio looking down at one of the swimming pools and clean landscaping. The buffet is on the bottom floor where the menu stays the same for the most part. It is difficult to prepare food for a full resort of guests so it is not gourmet. My Mom and I had stomach sickness for a couple of days. Thankfully there was bottled water, fruit and cheese to nibble until we felt better. Our room [... read more] was nicely air conditioned which made us more comfortable. Taking a walk through the grounds the birds were singing and small lizards scurrying about. Lounge chairs were available in shade on the beach. As with any resort in Cuba there will be weeks of plenty and weeks when there is less. There are rooms that need maintenance and others that are 5 star. If you want sun and surf it is beautiful. If your priority is the room and food it can go either way. Smile and enjoy the simple things!

Iberostar Selection Varadero: A wonderful resort!

The staff are among the best of any place we've ever been. The beach is perfect & the staff help you to get chairs. First class entertainment- especially Rick & Roll night! Buffets were nicely presented although Cuban resort food tends to be a bit bland for our taste. Definitely a recommended destination*****

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great family resort

The hotel is great. The grounds and public spaces were beautiful. The people were friendly and accommodated. The food was delicious, although sometimes repetitive but the seasoning was so good. The best a la carte restaurant was the Japanese one. However it also had its downs. To start, checking in took awhile. We were waiting in the reception area until past 4pm and we got to the hotel at 11 am. In addition, we asked for a playpen for my 11 month old and we found a small cockroach on it so we d [... read more]ecided to sleep with her in our bed. The third thing was a leaking on the washroom that it was due to turning off our AC according to the people at the reception. And lastly, the beach area was full of algae due to the season we went I am guessing.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Very Nice

A relatively small resort which we like because everything is nearby. As everyone has said, the staff are exceptional, hard working and friendly. The room was fine, bed was comfortable. Bar lineups were quick with good variety. We were 2 weeks and found good food to eat every day - it's not North American variety/quality. The buffet restaurant was uncomfortably hot though, a/c wasn't working. The beach directly in front of the resort is sandy into the water for about 10 yards before going grassy [... read more]/seaweedy. To get sandy bottom out to sandbars you have to walk down or up the shore for 10 minutes; otherwise the beach is very nice.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: A star amount resorts ....the Iberostar Cozumel

Stunning, natural, unique resort. The Iberostar resort is beautiful. Lush green natural vegetation amount the cottages and pathways to the lobby, restaurants and the beach. The staff of the Iberostar were wonderful, professional and very thoughtful. The food selection was amazing. The food was incredible and plentiful. The spa area was beautiful.....and we enjoyed a couples massage. We were greeted daily by the pink flamingos and the parrots in the lobby, Peacocks roamed the reso [... read more]rt leisurely and were such a welcome site at the beach or pool area. Quite an experience. We will be back next year.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Not too happy

Worse resort ever. They refuse to serve me drinks because I didn’t tip the bartenders. My room didn’t got cleaned properly. After i left tip was all cleaned. Third night no tip my room was not cleaned again. I ordered deinks while waching a show and we never got the drinks. Second night i tip the servent and the drinks amazingly showed up in couple minutes. They should be ashamed to ask $6000 for 7 days. That resort deserves under $3000 for 7days. Never will go there again.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great Resort - first time in Mexico

Hotel was beautiful and the grounds gorgeous and well kept. Our room was nice, king size bed and lots of room to put clothes and your belongings. The maids did a great job keeping on top of it. The beach was very nice but very windy every day, not that anyone can help Mother Nature. We did have fun playing in the waves. There is lots to do, we never got to it all. Lots of kids and mostly at the pool. The food at the Mexican was great but they should make it more personal and not hosted at t [... read more]he buffet as too open and noisy. The other restaurants were really good, steak was awesome. Entertainment was good, magic show and the Broadway night. If you can make you way to the disco you should as it was a lot of fun. Great dance music. Did an excursion to Tulum ruins and Rio Secreto caves. Diego tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great guide. This was worth the money. All in all we would go back to this resort. The staff were great and worked very hard, they are overworked and the hotel should hire more to compensate... Also the drinks, especially at the beach, were not strong at all, it didn't taste like there was any liquor in them at all.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Gorgeous Beach!

This hotel is a little out dated and needs an upgrade... BUT the people, the beach, the service definitely make this hotel! I would still go back. My husband and I went specifically to go Kitesurfing - which is right next door, so the location was perfect for us!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Positive Changes, Great Resort

We were in this resort a few years ago, it was great, so we decided to come back. This time I was amazed by the service, friendliness of the stuff, cleanness of the resort. Kids Club is new amazing add-on, kids don't want to leave it. Property is beautiful and well maintained. No tips begging make you want to leave tips. The only concern we had was seaweed, couple days were really out of control. They have equipment to remove it, but, I guess, it was just a season for those. Hotel Mojito: Great Resort

This was our 3rd year visiting The Mojito . The staff are great here and have kept us coming back . However , this year the Buffett was lacking in the server area . Also staff has been cut in the lobby bar , we always tip but most of the time we had to line up at the bar. Not the servers fault , only had one on for a full packed lobby !

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Friendly resort

The grounds were great with friendly staff. Bathrooms could be stocked better with toilet paper as some didn’t have any or ran out. Beach was beautiful and clean!!!! Swimming pools were always full of entertaining fun.

Small resort about 300 spacious rooms with ocean front and ocean view rooms. With everything close to your accommodation. Needs improvement on supply of towels and face cloths. Maybe better TV service. Needs ventilation in the main restaurant and to fumeagate more often because of mosquitos. Other than that service on the beach was extremely friendly.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Resort

This hotel is amazing the staff are so friendly and cater to your every need. The entertainment staff work so hard to ensure you are having a great time by the pool and on the beach. The grounds are very clean. Great selection of food day and night. Enjoyed having beach BBQ you don't have to leave the beach to get food or drinks. The rooms are very spacious and modern. Would love the visit this hotel again.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Nice Resort

This resort is a 4 star. It’s location is good, beach and water area was one of the best i’ve visited in Cuba. Rooms were comfortable, staff were friendly. But the food was not up to 4 star standards, no croissants in the morning, had bacon only once in the 7 days we stayed. The grill on the beach served the same food every day. Buffet lunch was always the same fish, chicken and pork. No themed lunches. I recommend the Japanese A La Carta not the other ones.
