Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Friendly resort

Great resort with many repeat customers. Great location with easy access to quaint town (20 minute walk) and access to local bus service for travel either north of the resort, or south to Malecon/Puerto Vallarta. Several pools to choose from. Nice selection of restaurants. Numerous dining options also available off resort.

Riu Vallarta: Clean, friendly and hardworking staff

Close to the airport, friendly staff. The a la cart restuarants are nothing to die for. I tried all of them and I still prefered the buffet. Breakfast is amazing there. I was disappointed about the wifi. Every other Riu i have been to provided wifi in the room. At Riu Vallarta you could only use it in the lobby and it was for one consecutive hour even if you used it for five minutes it would expire.

Occidental Tucancun: friendly resort

Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Drinks were excellent! Food was good and the restaurants were never overly busy. really close to a shopping center. What else can you ask for?

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great time

We had a great time at the Hotel, The people at the front desk tried to be helpful, they couldn't make a decision without approval though. The room was clean, not a lot of drawer space. The food was good, no problems, good variety. No shrimp though. The pool was pleasant, the bar didn't open till 11 a.m. The nightly entertainment got better each night. The disco could have had some real disco music from the 80's. The hotel was close to the Mega store so if you wanted something they didn't have,  [... read more]you could go across the road. The staff was friendly and eager to learn.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Fife stars resort!

We were filled as a 5 stars resort!! Great restorans, specialy on Coast. Pools done very well and resonable. Service we consider as A 5 stars too. You can exchange money at front desk even Canadian dollars. Very good rooms and balcony with ocean views.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Intimate

The typical (although larger then) the Mexican hacienda with the appropriate interior decor gives a cosy feeling. Grounds provide an oasis to explore native mexican flora and fauna. Decent size pool and the jacuzzi serve the vacationers well. Spacious room with balcony facing the court yard gives opportunities to relax in private and enjoy the morning cofee, or a quiet time with a book. One improvement can be in the beach snack bar. Variety of available food was poor and limited.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort

This is a great resort for wedding groups. Beautiful grounds, more than enough restaurants to keep you busy (get the steak at the french restaurant, you wont be disappointed) and very spacious rooms, all ocean facing. The beach isn't amazing and when we were there there were tiny jellyfish in the water but there were lots of pools and a swim up bar to compensate.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: best yet resort

well we visited 2 weeks in nov 2013 with significant concerns with the resort , room issues which were not all taken care of, & mainly my family was flying in from out west, staying at another resort. the telephone was not working, yet no employee informed me, despite numerous visits to desk., & etc other maintenance concerns. Covered expenses to get to their resort and visit for the day, which was greatly appreciated. Booked for Feb 2014 for 2 weeks, thou unexpected heart issues, prevented me a [... read more]nd partner from our vacation well deserved. Told the day before I could not go. So with no cancellation insurance & 2 persons severely upset. Continued for 2 weeks of health tests. Now I am trying again, will hope to be going back to Sandos Nov 14th for 2 weeks with partner. & given a second chance to this amazing resort despite issues. We are counting the days, and hope all goes well. Like beach, shade areas, water, different evening activities, mini golf, entertainment at theatre, staff so happy, helpful, no negativity, warm & relaxing atmosphere, reception available day or night for concerns, meals, private adult section & private adult breakfasts, the rooms are gorgeous when working. Marco Salvai & Giovanna Barberai did make an offer to upgrade our room, & bracelet within 1 year of Nov 2013 visit. Looking forward. Yes I would not hesitate to go back and tell others, in which I have done. Thank Lawrence S. at Trip C. for assisting us each trip , and has recommended other resorts & his choices were great & satisfying. He answers all calls, and meets our needs beyond expectations. Allegro Cozumel: Very Cozy Hotel

My recent trip was my first experience at an all inclusive resort. It was on the smaller side. I was a little disappointed in the food, was hoping for some more authentic food. It was well taken care of and groomed. The first night we were there there was no power on the whole south side of the island and they handled everything very well. I was impressed. There is a place to book tours just outside the lobby and they offer all these free things as long as you go for lunch and visit their sister [... read more] hotel. what they fail to mention is that is a timeshare viewing. this was very disappointing as we did not want to spend half a day at a place that wasn't our own being bugged to buy a timeshare. when we declined we found them to be quite rude. Who goes on vacation prepared to sign a contract for thousands of dollars. All in all it was a very small resort and the food wasn't amazing but most of the staff was friendly. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day. I don't think I would travel back to this hotel but not because I didn't enjoy myself, just because I would like to try something different.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Luxurious vacation , stunning views

Been to many Riu resorts but this one was the best yet. Clean, spacious, and attentive staff are usual in Riu resorts but this one was exceptional. Our room had a king size bed a balcony and we overlooked the pool nearest to the spa with a view out to the ocean. The grounds were immaculate and staff are constantly in the grounds keeping it looking pristine. The large windows outside our room by the elevator gave us the perfect spot to take photos of The Arches and the beach beside it. There are [... read more] two big pools and the one nearest the spa was clean and well maintained and we never had a problem getting chairs. The beach is sandy and you can easily get a water taxi from the beach into the town which takes about 10-15 mins at most. The food at the Riu Palace was very good. We were lucky enought to eat at Kystal twice. The ambience and presentation matches any fine dinning restaurant in a big city. I would suggest that you go to the service desk as soon as you arrive and book your a la carte resturants, the only one you book on the day you want to go and eat there is Krystal, but its worth the wait. Breakfast buffet was big and there is something for everyone, even the picky eaters. We used to have ours on the patio with table service for drinks . In the evening , the same place becomes the dinner buffet which we also enjoyed with their various themes. We met up with other vactioners and as one had a birthday, we arrived at our table on the evening of his big day to find the staff had set our a birthday table complete with decorations and confetti and a small birthday cake for him. The staff really did go above and beyond which we really appreciated. We would love to go back to the Riu Palace Los Cabos and we have recommended it friends as for the money we think its the best place to stay in Los Cabos.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: great service

this smaller resort offers great service and is very clean. The buffet and the beach food was very good but very disappointed in the food at the al carte restaurant. The staff was exceptional. Anyone who has mobility issues should be warned, the room alone had 3 levels.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Had a very nice time at this resort but...

We had a very good time in Mexico but I'd like to point out a few things: -We were given a very nice room on the 3rd floor (but too much to walk up the stairs) on building 3 -The restaurants had average food -we mostly ate at the buffet and ate 2 nights at the a la carte Tortuga, which is a Steakhouse - loved the meat! as there are no reservations to these type of restaurants in this hotel-it tends to get crowded when you arrive there. It is not very well organized. -The beach was the best!!!!  [... read more]Playa Maroma is by far better than Playa Paraiso where the Iberostars are located (10-15 minutes walk)!!! no rocks, water less choppy and a powder sand!! note that only the Privileged are of the beach has palapas; the other area has only palm trees for shade. -Wi-Fi - available in all the resort for free, even at the beach!-sometimes can be slow -Night entertainment: this is not a resort if you want entertainment - they have some music on some days at the lobby but was very disappointed that on a Friday night they did not even have that. The theatre mainly shows kids's productions and are shown late-don't know why. Not much to do at night. -Resort is very clean and well kept -75% of the guests were European - we were the only Canadians to arrive on the 17/5 at night. -We did not go into the pool -Beds are very comfortable and you have a menu of pillows if you are on the Privileged plan.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Great resort next to Xcaret Park!

Had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful resort. The grounds were very tropical and well laid out. The food and drinks were very good and lots of selection. Staff were amazing. The beach was nice however I would have liked a bigger one for walking. Enjoyed the adult area with the salt water pool. Rooms were fine. Liked the easy access to Xcaret Park. Went on an excursion there in the past. Love this park, especially the show at night about the history of Mexico.

Melody Maker Cancun: Good Resort

This is a very good resort in terms of the food, grounds and location. El Cozumeleno Beach: excellent vacation

There is little I can say about that isn't stellar. The service was great, never had such service at a hotel of this value. The grounds were very clean, the rooms were large and comfortable and the food was delicious and plentiful. My only concern was that the pools were just a bit too cool for me, thank goodness for the hot tub, even in the rain the servers kept the refreshments coming. Thanks!.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fabulous Trip! Amazing Resort!

My husband and I travelled with our 2 teenage daughters and had a fabulous trip! The resort is huge and we loved that we could go to the Tulum and Akumel resorts to eat, swim, etc. It was nice to try different places every day. We had absolutely no problem staying at the Coba, which was a bit further back because the trollies were available all the time. The food was fabulous at all the buffets, snack bars and a la carte's. There was nothing we ate that we didn't like. The buffets were huge and  [... read more]had so much variety. The resort was spotless and our rooms were quite large and very clean. We ended up getting 2 rooms side by side on the top floor (as we had requested) so that was nice. They had a welcome sign and balloons on both our doors and a Bahia Principe T-shirt for all of us on the bed when we arrived. Not sure if that is a standard thing or if it was because we mentioned it was our daughter's 16th birthday, but that was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and were always there to serve you. The animation team was wonderful and always got my girls involved in activities, which made it fun for them. The grounds were spotless - the landscapers were out every day ensuring everything was perfect. Considering the size of the resort, the staff was on top of everything. The food at the buffet was always replenished quickly if things ran out and all public areas were very clean. The only complaint we have about the resort is that everything closed down at 11:00. They turn off all the lights and stop serving drinks, which we found a bit strange for people vacationing. If you wanted to stay up and have a drink in the lobby or at any of the other bars, you couldn't do that. The only place that was open later was the disco, but if you didn't want to go there, there was no where to go. Besides that, the beach was very nice and there was always something to do, which is important for teenagers, as they get bored easily. We also "swam with the dolphins" right in the resort. They have a Dolphinarium right in the Tulum resort, so we booked it from home ahead of time, which was half the price, rather than booking it at the resort. We took the trolly to the Tulum resort that morning, which took 5 minutes - it was nice that we didn't have to drive anywhere. It was an amazing experience and would recommend it. This was definitely one of the best vacations we've had as a family and we would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.

Secrets Huatulco: Secrets not so much anymore....

We stayed as a couple. We cannot complain about anything, Very romantic,loved all aspects of the resort from the room to the restaurants, Beach was awesome!! 97-99 degrees every day with 1 cloud and rain for an hour. Beach front service was incredible and everyone from staff to servers were very friendly and accommodating. This is a beautiful resort. The grounds are clean, the pools are beautiful and clean (and there are lots of them), the dining experience is amazing with lots of variety to choose from. An amazing family resort!

Riu Emerald Bay: Great Resort

LOVED the resort......needs work on the food...food not five star food. Needs more ala carts and better food at the ala carts. The two ala carts are buffet style again. As far as going to the Italian restaurant. ...same as having the pasta at the buffet.

Riu Flamingos: Awesome!

Everything was great. Will go back. Lisa was awesome, everything she said came true. The room was great, had an interior view of the court yard. Food at the buffet was great, a huge selection, really have no complaints.
