Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Loved The Riu Palace

We loved the Riu Palace. Incredible staff, the grounds and our balcony view were beautiful. The amazing beach was maintained daily and the water was crystal clear. There were starfish to see while snorkelling, in addition to the odd fish and rare stingrays. Having been to many all inclusive resorts we were extremely impressed with the a la cartes; however, the buffet was the very best of any we have had in the past. We lost our whole day flying and bussing getting to the resort and on the way back was worse. Sunwing needs to have returning flights leave resorts later as we totally missed our last day. We got picked up at 9 a.m. and flew out at 2 p.m. Also more flights from Ottawa are needed so we would not have to drive to Montreal. The hotel staff was slow on repairs as our toilet seat was broken when we arrived and although I made daily calls to have it repaired it was still not fixed when we left. There was one security issue I had to report to Chris, the resort security officer. In my absence, one of the para sailing vendors on the beach made extremely inappropriate comments to my spouse as she was trying to sunbathe. When I got back from my scuba diving I could see she was upset about something. She told me what happened and you can imagine my first reaction but he had disappeared. This incident was extremely disconcerting for her as one could imagine. Notwithstanding the above, the resort was fantastic, food, beach, entertainers, water, and staff were the best. In the event you want to taxi to Rick's cafe or Margaritaville be sure to ask for Paul at the lobby taxi stand. Tell them Larry the guitar guy sent you. Enjoy Riu Palace.

Mangos Boutique Beach Resort: Don’t do it

Very low class , under staffed , very cheap with there drinks,a million mosquitoes in your room from all the cracks outside ,had to get room sprayed ,no hot water in shower,pool very cloudy could see bottom or steps ,speakers broken no sound system for music during the day ,and if they played music you could barely here it .always had to wait for more food ,it was never just refilled ,and the worst ! the jerk chicken was very dry not fresh at all cooked the day before or in the morning then ser [... read more]ved for lunch that wasn’t true jerk chicken . I’ve been all over Jamaica and wow that’s like a 2 star maybe nobody ever at the pool to talk too . Very dead every were . So it’s real relaxing !!! The locals make that resort and nothing but..

Couples Tower Isle: Awsome wedding / honeymoon

The resort was by far one the best stay that I have stayed in. I have been traveling for nearly 20 years. This was our 2 wedding the staff made memorable in our every day stay there . weather was beautiful . restaurant where very flavourfull .

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Fantastic Resort !!!!

The oceanfront room we had was great. The view was second to none. The proximity to the beach, buffet, restaurants, pools was perfect from our room. The food was excellent and the drinks plentiful. Everything was better than expected. Everything worked, was clean, and the entertainment crew did a great job.

Couples Tower Isle: Great staff. Great food

Loved 8 rivers restaurant dined there 3 times. Didn't care for the Fusion restaurant. My wifes lobster was overcooked and food was too spicy even when asking for mild. Staff were great in all areas including the garden staff that answered all our questions regarding local flora and fauna. It was also nice not to carry around a bunch of cash because there not allowed to accept tips, and we tried. Room had a bit of a musty smell so they upgraded us. The staff member that did our turn down servic [... read more]e seemed disappointed that we turned down the service so we had her do it for the remainder of our stay. She really seemed to enjoy her job. We realized afterwards that they had a different themed buffet everyday so next time we'll try it more often, but there is so much to choose from you can't try everything in 7 days, but we tried.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome resort

Very beautiful palace like resort!! Service is impeccable and every employee encountered were amazing , kind and helpful. The food was all delicious, à la carte and buffets, especially the jerk chicken in The Pisces restaurant by the beach. Great pools but even better beach!! The room and view was beautiful! It was our second time at the Bahia in Runnaway Jamaica and we will go back!!!

Moon Palace Jamaica: Great resort

Excellent service, food was excellent rooms are new and high end. The Italian and Japanese restaurants were outstanding, in future I would alternate between those two throughout the trip. I would recommend this place

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Beautiful resort, lovely beach

The hotel was beautiful, the food was very good and the beaches are the nicest we've been to in Jamaica. We spent a day at 7 Mile Beach and the beach at the Royalton Negril is just as nice. We've also been to Ocho Rios and Montego Bay and the beaches here are the nicest we've encountered in Jamaica. The resort was very busy since it was March break but the staff and butlers will "reserve" chairs for you for a tip $$$ - not sure if that's a good thing or bad. It is unfortunate that many chairs sa [... read more]t claimed by a book or magazine for the entire day. The food was very good at the restaurants, at the buffet it was just okay. (We've also been to the Royalton White Sands and found the food to be better there) Our favourite restaurant was Calypso the West Indian restaurant. The jerk hut, food truck and various beach bars to eat at provided lots of good options if you didn't want to get changed and go inside for lunch at the buffet or the Italian restaurant. Overall an excellent vacation - we reserved two excursions through our Butler (I would suggest upgrading to Diamond Club) and had a great time on both. We did 7 Mile Beach, downtown Negril for a Juici Patty run, and Rick's Cafe one day. We also did YS Falls, Blackriver Safari and Pelican Bar on our other excursion. Make sure to bring cash on excursions, many places do not accept credit card.

Dreams Rose Hall: Great holiday

This was the best all inclusive we have been to. Great location, facilities and grounds excellent and the restaurants were exceptional. Lovely staff who could not do enough for you. We would certainly go back for a family holiday

Zoetry Montego Bay: Fantastic Resort!

We arrived at Zoetry Montego Bay on Tuesday March 05. We decided to take a short vacation to get away from the Canadian winter and booked a 4 night stay. This resort far exceeded our expectations! The resort is very small with just 47 rooms which was perfect for us. It is only 10 minutes from the airport on a private beach and is adults only. There were a lot of luxuries in [... read more]cluding a complimentary foot massage, 24 hr room service (which we used for dinner on the night that we arrived) a bottle of sparkling wine in our room daily etc. Our room was beautiful with a view of the ocean from our balcony. The beach was gorgeous and we never had any issues finding chairs at the beach or by the pool. Everything was within a short walk and the weather was perfect every day. It is windy most days but it is a nice relief from the hot sun and the wind quit by evening so the open air restaurant was beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and because the resort is small, it is easy to meet people, even in just the short time we were there. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing adults only vacation!

Breathless Montego Bay: breathtaking Breathless Resort

The grounds were immaculate. The rooms where clean and well maintained by the cleaning staff. The "STAFF" are a fantastic group of employees, you should be proud to have them at your resort. Food variety and quality was excellent. My only negative comment is the restaurant opens at 7:30 a.m., much to late, 6:30 a.m. would be suitable for the early risers.

Sandals South Coast: Great resort! Great vacation!!

The Sandals South Coast was simply the best resort we have ever visited. From the beautiful beach, amazing rooms, awesome amenities, to the great service everyone on the resort does everything humanly possible to make you feel like this is a special place and a special time for you. Couples Sans Souci: Lush garden setting amazing

This hotel is set into the side of mountain. Each of the walk up 3 level buildings are at different areas on side of mountain. Lush gardens conceal the elevations. There are plenty of stairs between elevations. If you have ambulatory issues you may not be able to enjoy this resort to it's fullest. There are hidden mineral grotto and hot tubs and quiet zones. There is a mineral pool. Private beach. Food was amazing and beautifully plated. My only complaint is that there was no buffet for dinner  [... read more]so you had to a la carte every night with sit down service. We got back late one night and all food services had ended. Grill didn't open till 11 pm. We had crashed before that.Our suite was ocean front with absolutely beautiful views. Staff were polite courteous and loved to show off their work place. I will be back this place is so totally different from others. It used to be a mineral spa.

SeaGarden Beach Resort: Fantastic time !

We enjoyed our time at the Sea Garden Resort. We spent most of our time at the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Nights were fun too as there was nightly entertainment and a disco. Guests were from all over the world and it was nice to be able to meet up with new friends easily as the resort wasn’t too big. Food was good but we would’ve liked to have Jamaican food every night! Excellence Oyster Bay: Awesome Resort

This adults only resort is very private as it is situated at the end of a somewhat long peninsula with separate service and guest entrances to it from nearby Coopers Pen. Nobody was at or came around the resort to pressure sell time shares, souvenirs, goods, etc. Good selection of restaurants and apart from the Teppanyaki, no reservations are needed. In general, the food was plentiful and good but a bit of inconsistency with taste at any given restaurant (one night less than desirable and then a [... read more]nother night the same meal awesome). Service at the two restaurants on either side of the upper pool was consistently slow- the other restaurants had good service. The main pool is very close to the beach and sitting on the pool deck provides an awesome view of the sea. No limit on beach towels- grab them near the pool and once done return the used ones into nearby collection bins. Beach is narrow and fairly long and makes for a nice walk along its entire length as is goes around the peninsula tip and ends at the Mangrove. Very hot with the sun being super intense. Sunscreen is an absolute must! Breezy or windy every day which was nice to reduce the effect of the heat. All Staff were friendly and when asked, were always "excellent"! Daily entertainment in/around the pool was varied and good. Fat-Bike rides for a short tour into Coopers Pen are available once a day in the morning. The Entertainment team was fabulous and connected extremely well with the guests. Evening shows were very good and the venue for them is all inside and allowed for a good view of the performances. Some sound issues with annoying feedback and mics not working occurred from time to time. Was here for two weeks and my wife and I enjoyed it very much.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: VERY POOR SERVICES AND RUDE STAFF

The rooms were nice and clean, however the ladies who changed the sheets were always busy chatting in the hallway, and got to clean the room at 4-5 pm (even if the room was close to the lobby) at the time we were taking a shower, wanted to rest and get ready for dinner. My husband had to contact the reception a few times to send s-one over to clean the room. The staff were acting as if they hated their job, were rude and talked down on their guests. We complained a few times about the quality of [... read more] services. My son got sick, and I was not allowed to take food into the room, the staff acted as if they did not care. My children slept in the morning of our departure, and we arrived at the buffet 3 minutes after their closing at 10:30 am, and we were not allowed to enter. My children had to wait for lunch to have something to eat even if they complained they were hungry. There are Jamaican contractors on site and other young Jamaican men going around the resort, and my daughter was sexually harassed while sitting at a restaurant table by one of them. She had to run all the way to the reception to alert the security. She also filed an incident report. We will definitely not return to this resort.

Riu Ocho Rios: Riu Ocho rios

Hotel was nice is going through a Reno shortly so will be spectacular in sept 2019. Staff were friendly beach was awesome and had scuba onsite and close to the dolphins cove.. 1hr and a half commute from the Montego Bay airport but location is worth the trip

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome time

We found the resort was clean. Food was amazing. The service was excellent. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family and hopefully we get a chance to go back there It was a big resort but we did not feel crowded with people. There was lots of space to have your own quiet time as well as be part of all the excitement that was going on. Entertainment was pretty good.

Zoetry Montego Bay: The best

We booked this resort with high expectations and those expectations were not only met they were exceeded. We had booked an ocean view suite. The check in was a little slow, we were tired, but once we met our butler he took us under his wing and escorted us to our second floor suite. The suite was very spacious and certainly "ocean view" and a lovely view. All the staff were super friendly and demonstrated super memories - within the space of 24 hours we were greeted by name and with a smile. Th [... read more]e resort general manager was very visible either in the lobby, around the pool, on the beach and elsewhere - areal plus. At meal time the food was well presented and tasty to boot. A plus, for weary travellers, was the resorts location, only a 10 minute ride from the airport. A negative was that it was under the fightpath of departing aircraft.The only other negative, to some, was the very small beach.

Breathless Montego Bay: Awsome Resort

We (group of 12) stayed at Breathless Montego Bay from March 3 - 10/19. The resort was beautiful from the room to the grounds. Staff friendly and helpful. Close proximity to airport. Beautiful beach located across the street which was shared by all 3 resorts. The food was plentiful and delicious. Negative: No nightly entertainment directly on Breathless resort, entertainment was located at the adjacent resorts across the street and outside music on the Breathless resort was sometimes repetit [... read more]ive and loud. Otherwise fun was had by all.
