Riu Palace Baja California: Amazing Resort, Love Cabo !
Definetly would go back to this same resort.
Never been to Cabo, and I wished I had not waited this long to go.
The resort opened in Dec 2018, I usually give it a year. But not this time, we went June 27-July 4th, 2019. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
We don’t like to lie on the beach, we walked it. High undertoe so no swimming in it. But with all else be 100% it did not effect our trip.
The staff were so very friendly and great English. Food amazing, buffett better then the a la [... read more]Cartes.
I recommend you to go !

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Perfect Week in Negril
The hotel grounds were fantastic! Everything was layed out perfectly with entertainment/bars/pools/restaurants all in the center of the resort. Loved that our walk from our room (1102) to the beach was less than 2 minutes and less than 4 minutes walk got us to the buffet. The staff was great and always accomodated whatever it was that we needed. Loved having our coffee after meals in the lobby cafe/bar. The beach was very clean and there were always beach chairs available. We spent the entire we[... read more]ek on the beach and never got to the pools but the pools looked clean and were well maintained. Lot's of great entertainment at the pools during the day as well! We had an excellent waiter who would bring us drinks on the hour to our beach chairs during the day! Room service was quick and easy to access. You would never want for anything there! The buffet food was great and had lots of selection. We walked up and down the 2 miles of Bloody Bay almost daily and enjoyed meeting different vendors along the beach. We did walk over to the Riu Negril resort as well but when we realized that their lunch buffet was outdoors (on an extremely hot day) we turned around and went back to the Air Conditioned buffet at ours. Although this resort is an hour and a half away from Montego Bay, it was well worth the long drive to this beautiful oasis. My fiance and I are considering returning next year for our honeymoon!

Riu Guanacaste: Not bad, but not amazing.
The resort it beautiful and clean. Unfortunately it rained non stop for 5 out of the 7 days we were there, so we tried to make the best of it. Our room was great, room was clean, fridge was always stocked and amazing WIFI systems throughout the resort. However, food was great but I felt like I was eating the same thing everyday, a la cart restaurants were always busy as they do not make reservations it's first come first serve. Having small children made it difficult to line up at 5:45 to ge[... read more]t in for a 7pm dinner. I would say 95% of the hotel staff do not speak much English so it was difficult to communication your needs and wants. There were also a lot of bugs and mosquitos, so lots of repellent is needed night and day. We enjoyed waking up to the monkeys in the mornings, even though we didn't see them you could still here them in the morning and a lot at night.
The pool area was great, had something for everyone and liked that it wasn't too deep. The beach is something to be desired, I didn't enjoy it as I prefer white sand and clear blue water. just something about walking into the ocean and not being able to see your feet as you walk in. but my children enjoyed feeding the fish if you take a few slices of bread and throw it in beautiful and colorful fish will emerge, a great experience for the kids.
The nightly show was great as well, got the children involved and then the entertainment was well put together. We missed Michael Jackson though, our sunwing rep said that we would see a famous Michael Jackson show and to our disappointment it never happened LOL next time I guess.
overall my experience was good, would I go back to this resort, I don't think so but I would visit Costa Rica again.

Riu Negril: Ya Mon Jamaica
We recently stayed at the Riu Negril the resort was amazing. The people are the best
part of Jamaica. Curtis and Natalia took really good care of us at the Main Bar making
our trips a positive experience that we always looked forward too. The Resort always
has events happening if you like to keep busy or you can either hang at the pools
or the ocean. The Food was great with lots of variety. My only disappointment was the

Thank you Eva the travel agent. Who was wonderful and carrying all the way for us. Ofcourse most of the people will wright only positive experience with there vacation. Flight got delayed for over 12 hours. Had to stay in the resort. But. Sunwing fid pay for our extra day of vacation. But on the other side. When we have left to the airport from the resort. Our plane wasent in the airport. We had to wait for 5 more hours. Eventho. Once the plane have came at 5 in the morning. We had to sit in it for another hour in the heat. Whenever no conditioner was turnd on for our support of not getting over hot. The flight was not so good.. eventho. The trip was amaizing. I got 10/10 stars for Tripcentral and for Riu Republica Punta Cana. Thank you! Hopefully this review will help others. Or atleast someone will read it. Have a good day. And of you go to Riu. Riu Guanacaste: Great family resort
Just spent a week at the Riu Guanacaste and had a fabulous time. We had adjoining rooms which worked out great for us. Balcony was a good size. Bathroom finishes were a little dated but the room was large and clean. The staff were very attentive and polite. The grounds are beautiful! A little walk along the trees by the beach is teaming with wildlife...crabs, iguanas, lizards, birds and monkeys. A great place for families to spend time together and reconnect!

Riu Palace Mexico: Love! Love! Love!
We stayed in this resort June 18-25, 2019. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. The beach was fabulous and very relaxing. Even though there was some seaweed and the shore wasn't always pristine, we noticed workers constantly cleaning and working hard to keep the beach clean. The food was delicious and seemed as if it was made out of the highest quality ingredients. However, the most enjoyable part of every meal was admiring the presentation of the food, and every single deco[... read more]rative piece in the restaurants. The front lobby staff were all very accommodating and helpful. They answered all of our questions, gave us excellent suggestions, and overall made our experience flawless. The rooms were always clean - we loved the special touch of leaving little chocolates and folding our towels after every cleaning. All personnel were very helpful and overall we had a wonderful time. This is our second time staying at a Riu resort, and we would recommend it to everyone!

Riu Palace Antillas: We had a blast!!
We went away from June 17th to June 24th. The weather was beautiful (hot and windy). The resort was slightly outdated compared to the family side of the Riu. As I was told it was previously a Best Western Resort but we didn’t mind. The food was delicious including the buffet. The people were super friendly and accommodating. I would go back to Aruba and this resort in a heartbeat. I loved the fact that you can leave the resort and feel safe. There is restaurants and shops that were walking di[... read more]stance outside the resort.

Riu Palace Aruba: Not worth the money we paid
I think Aruba is beautiful but I didn't not think the resort was a 5 star at all.
We had major problems when we checked in.
We were there 2 weeks and the first week we had to call everyday to have housekeeping come and bring us towels so we can take a shower. They also didn't fill the fridge with water, we had to keep asking. There was always sand all over the floor because they didn't come to clean. We assumed they would show up everyday to clean but that wasn't the case.
When my husband [... read more]finally had enough and called the manager to complain then it got better. So on the second week they came to clean the room everyday.
Another thing that was really disappointing was that during the 2 weeks we were there we didn't see anybody cleaning the beach. We saw someone picking up the empty plastic cups from the palapas but he would never go clean the cups and garbage that was laying on the sand and in the water. Because it's so windy in Aruba, you would think they would be more diligent with cleaning the beach. The one day my daughter and I were cleaning it up ourselves. We picked up a bunch of cups, a garbage bag that stuck under some sand in the water and a juice box.
The one day I slipped on the sidewalk while going for a walk to the Riu for adults only. I tripped and fell and scraped my knee and all the way down my leg, I had quite a bit of blood running down my legs and my husband suggested walking back to our room because it was closer than going to the lobby. So we did, and my husband called front desk and asked if someone could come to our room with a first aid kit. They said they couldn't and that I'd have to walk to the front desk and someone would help me. I was extremely upset considering I was in allot of pain. When I got there they told us they didn't have a first aid room and would do what they needed to do in the lobby. Sure enough they started pouring rubbing alcohol down my leg while people were standing around and I had to try my hardest to not make allot of noise even though it hurt like hell.
There were some other things that it's just too long to explain.
Overall, we liked Aruba and how safe we felt walking around. The beaches are beautiful. We went to Palm Island for one day and it was awesome but if I went back I would not stay at the Riu.
We're also non smokers and they allow smoking in the casino, all around the pool and even on the beach. It was disgusting. We paid allot of money for this trip and it wasn't worth what we paid. I really wish we would have picked a different destination.

Riu Palace Baja California: Great Resort - Not Sure About Housekeeping
I really don't want our incident to persuade my review of the resort, but I know that I depend a lot on the reviews of other that have been to the resort when searching for my next destination so here goes. The RIU resort itself was amazing. It's fairly new so the rooms were very nice though I feel housekeeping could have done a better job when it came to the cleanliness of the room i.e. replacing used towels, soap and sweeping the floor. Overall, the food was good and the fact that you didn't h[... read more]ave to make reservations for any of the restaurants was awesome. We felt the pool areas could've been kept up better. We were there during Cabo Fest which made the resort incredibly busy, but it appeared nobody worked during the evenings once everyone was in their rooms.
Given where our room was located, I believe my bikini bottoms were stolen from our balcony which is heartbreaking. I only wore them once and they were Michael Kors, so not cheap. I immediately reported the incident and the hotel manager was able to confirm that housekeeping was in our room during the time I suspected them to go missing. Unfortunately nothing was found and the hotel wasn't able to compensate me so I've filed an official report with CMS RIU and I'm still waiting to hear back. I really hope they compensate me another bottom. Really it's the principal of the whole situation and it's disheartening when I work so hard and then go on a vacation and have to worry about locking everything up. The safes aren't big enough to put my suitcase in.
This was an unfortunate event as everything else with the resort was great. The gym was small, but all the equipment was new, and I know for a fact that it was mopped every morning as we were there at 6am when the cleaning lady was there.
All in all we enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately the fact that an item was stolen from our balcony makes me sad.

Riu Negril: Family friendly
It was beautiful, the dancers were amazing and the entertainment was plentiful. The food was amazing and had lots of choice for allergy suffers like my son. The only issue i had was with the day staff not cleaning the room, i had three kids and a few clothes on the floor. She took the tips and tried to skip my room like she had done the days before even though we needed toiletries and bedding to be replaced. She was rude to my kids and myself and huffed and puffed while she added new sheets whic[... read more]h smelled bad and didn't replace the cover. My baby was ill and needed a nap so we covered the whole bed with towels to mask it. Other than her (other maids/staff were very kind) it was amazing and the excursions and entertainment were great ( bit pricey). i also reccomend the massages : ) it was gorgeous and really felt like paradise.
