Occidental Caribe: Worst Resort

This was my first time at this resort which was highly recommended by people who have gone in past, some of them where there at the same time I was. The rooms were not clean, I had hair in the bathtub (not mine). Coffee machine as well as TV not working reported and never fixed. After reporting the poor maintenance of the cleaning staff, upon my return that night to my room in my entrance was a patio table and chair that blocked the entrance (my patio furniture was on my balcony). Day 4 the bath [... read more]room ceiling was leaking, after a very well deserved complaining at the front desk finally got one competent clerk to change room, upon arriving in the room the bathroom floor was flooded from a leaking ceiling, TV still not working but at least this room was clean. I would never recommend this resort to anyone.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Ok Resort

We just spent 9 days at Vik hotel Arena Blanca. It was a group trip for a birthday. The hotel is is older and tired. Definitely needs some updates. Our room had very little air conditioning. The food was ok. Stir fry every night in the the buffet was the best and so was the chef working there. He was extremely nice and very helpful. Entertainment staff were great as well. As for the rest of the staff I found them not to be very friendly. Walking the beach was very nice.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Grand Sirenis PC Grand

Grand Sirenis is a clean pleasant resort with with an abundance of friendly staff. The rooms are clean and a good size but slightly dated. Food at the buffets had plenty of choices and specialty restaurants were tasty! Pools and beaches were clean easily accessible. If I ever go back to DR, it's possible I'd choose Grand Sirenis again!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Preferred Club not worth it for families

Very clean, a bit dated, food was ‘okay’ nothing to write home about. Bluewater Steak House was meh, Spice teppanyaki was fun, food was good, Barefoot Grill on the beach had great burgers for lunch and then the buffet had a decent assortment of foods for everyone. We stayed in a Preferred Club two Queen room with two kiddos (7&9). Room was clean and a bit run down. Preferred Club for families is a waste of money in our opinion. The PC pool area for families was a section of swim up rooms, about two dozen loungers and faced construction of a new hotel. The PC area to eat breakfast and lunch was FREEZING, had curtains to block you from seeing out and no outside seating (we always just sat at buffet). If you are adults and get PC, definitely see the value but definitely not for families. Activities were great for kids around pool area during the day, night kids disco where shows are held are geared for toddler-age 5/6 and that’s at 8. The night show starts at 9 and our faves were the fire show (incredible), white party (meh) and The Greatest Showman was also good! All other pools in middle of resort were good but cold, like freezing! Water Park you have to be 4’5 to order the black slides and the white drop slide, they had one slide for Littles. No chairs in the water park area just around the outside of the park (you couldn’t see in). Taco truck right outside the water park apparently was amazing and opens at 3 so we never made it over! It’s a 45 min cab ride over from airport and close to the end of the resorts. Beach was nice, darker sand and rougher water than Bavaro Beach where we normally stay.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very un Atmosphere

This trip was nothing short of a phenomenal experience. The ambiance of the resort was absolutely stunning, fun energy and created the perfect backdrop for a relaxing morning at the beach, dancing and games at the pool with Blue Team in the afternoon and evening food, entertainment and dancing. All to make it a very enjoyable vacation. Our room was spotless every day and the food was exceptional at the buffets. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable and went above and beyond by teaching me Spanish and making me comfortable letting loose on the dance floor. The bartenders, in particular, were outstanding in their craft, and one individual, Julio Pio, stood out in making my groups experience truly unforgettable. Julio not only demonstrated exceptional bartending skills but also added an extra layer of entertainment to the experience. His enthusiastic chants and lively dances while crafting drinks brought a unique and joyful atmosphere to the bar. I wished he was at the pool cause his enthusiasm really amps me up. It's these personal touches that make a stay truly special and memorable. I was so impressed. We enjoyed his service so much that when we found out he was serving in Route 66 we decided that’s were we need to eat cause we knew he will make the experience better. Ramon and Leandrc Villalona we met at the buffet and they really stood out and impressed me by remembering me and teaching me in Spanish how to say “Whats up”. Then every time they saw me we chanted together and I felt like I was a part of their family. They truly made the experience fun and hope they get noticed for their outstanding work! I can confidently say that the dedication and passion of the Ocean Blue and Sand Punta Cana staff, exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a perfect blend of beautiful ambiance, exceptional service, great food, affordable price and an unforgettable vacation experience. It truly deserves a solid 5-star rating.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Noisy resort

I found the noise level waaaaaaay too high. There was no escape unless you stayed in your room. Perhaps it would have been better had we upgraded. Only had access to main pool unless we upgraded. Very very family friendly! No kayaks or boogie boards for use. Vendors very tiresome. Food on buffet always room temp. Only got hot food if it was cooked in front of us. However if you didnt mind eating cold food it had great flavor. A la cartes were excellent. Had a difficult time getting receipts in [... read more] proper names. Booked and paid for snorkelling on a glass bottom boat - ended up being forced onto a party boat. 100% wouldnt have made that choice. Couldnt get refund, couldnt cancel. Massage at spa was great but very pricey. All credit card purchases had surcharge. Very friendly and helpful staff. Service was good throughout. Would recommend upgrading!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: One of the best

There is no better resort in the DR for golf Food and service excellent Golf course is in resort, no travel required Excellent Casino Bavaro Beach needs no introduction Beautiful grounds and buildings Plenty of activities High quality rooms, very good maintenance Bars and restaurants 4* plus Massive buffet, always stocked Excellent pools and sports facilities, spa, gym Kids have their own play pool away from the adult pools And most of all the people are fantastic We go there eve [... read more]ry year and will soon change to twice a year

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing resort.

Miss this resort already. I swim many times per day. Very clean, beautiful, very good food, friendly staff. Wi-Fi is everywhere with good speed. We went to Breathless resort few times ( adults only) for breakfast and lunch. Food the same, as good as at the Onyx. Will come again.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Very good resort

It was a great experience at Royalton Chic! Very clean rooms and entire resort; friendly staff, excellent entertainment team . Beach is absolutely amazing! Good is a bit limited variety but good quality

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: A smaller excellent beach resort

We had a very enjoyable time at Jewel Palm Beach. It is a smaller resort than many in the area. We found it to be well laid out and to have everything we wanted. We stayed in the Club area and appreciated its adult and family pools and lounges. The resort is unusual in that it does not use a bracelet system nor does it require reservations for its a la carte restaurants. We enjoyed all the restaurants and also found the buffet to be well-stocked with a variety of dishes. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. In particular, we appreciated the friendliness and competence of Louisa, Jose Luis, and Emilio ("Excellente!")

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Friendly Resort

Excellent resort overall. Transportation within the resort could have been better organized considering the large area to be covered particularly for people with physical disabilities. The restaurants were excellent . Additional barbecue areas in the pool and beach areas would have been nice.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice Resort

Lots of great things about this resort a few being pizza and charcoal hotdogs and burgers at one of the pools everyday alacartes are good except the fish market restaurant. It’s a big resort so you need to take the trolleys everywhere food in the buffet is good nice variety lobster 2 nights a week rooms were quiet and clean however outdated.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Amazing!!

Beautiful grounds, great rooms! Food was excellent and very friendly staff!! Close to the airport Lots of activities Very nice beach with lots of great lounge chairs with extra thick cushions Pool was amazing

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Absolute Garbage

Our party arrived on December 19,2023 and upon arrival check in was horrid. We were checked in without wrist bands and the staff was going to use a sharpe marker to change the bracelet colour. The first night we ventured to the buffet as obviously we couldnt have an la carte booked that soon so we utilized Turquesa's buffet. I was so disappointment with the buffet. Here you seem so happy to see the menu that includes tacos,ice cream, chessy fries etc. However you can only oder a hotdog,hamburger,french fries and sometimes chicken nuggets and empanadas. After ordering everything on the menu the only time you could ingest the food is if you had been drinking otherwise it was not edible. We searched everynight for any souce of night life and nothing this resort is very quiet like ghost town at night probably because everyone is in their room vomiting from all the bad food that they ingested during the day this was or had come to our attention when we were in our room and we could hear people in the surrounding rooms vomiting we actually had to call the reception to do something about it. Even when eating at the restuarant people were vommiting it was disgusting. The beach is so far away and have shuttles that are labelled L1,L2,L2 etc however you could wait all day for one to shuttle you to the beach. When you do get to the beach there are a.selected few beach chairs if any. The staff made it seem like we were bothering them and on several occassions the staff were rude until you spole their language then the attitude shifted. Our group needed bug spray and it cost us $20 usd The only good entertainment is once a week on a thursday and you have to pay extra for it. The worst and most disgusting was having cochroaches in the buffet area and in and around the bar by the pool. The staff did not seem to care as people were videoing their disgust. I have travelled many times to punta cana and never had an experience like this one. Avoid at all costs . The cheaper is not always better In this case the more expensive your trip the less you get there..if you have a reservation please.rebook somewhere else you will thank me later .

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Impressive Premium Beautiful and clean resort

Beautiful and clean. Entertainment staff especially Raiza, were great and tried to get everyone involved. Premium bartender Juan was amazing and lots of fun. Lots of food. Pools, beach and the whole resort is very clean.

Punta Cana Princess: Can't wait to return!

If you are looking for a relaxing, sun soaking, entertaining, beach walking holiday enjoying genuine hospitality THIS IS THE SPOT FOR YOU! Even before we left, my emails to the resort were answered right away, thank you to Carlo Del Risco (front desk Mgr) and Alexander Gomez (Guest Service Manager), you both made our experience special even before we arrived! We are not a young couple and have travelled quite a bit. This was our 13th visit to Punta Cana (always staying at 4+) but first to th [... read more]e PCP, and it will definately not be the last. This resort is clean, intimate, quiet with latin music always in the background, on the beach, with beautiful grounds. Most importantly the hosts and I say hosts because these wonderful people made our holiday.....Nelson "My Family", Iris, Vicki, Felix x2, Jaun, Ordalina, Grey xo and Luis to name a few. We believe a review should be about the vacation experience, not what temp the AC got to, or how strong the Wifi is, and our experience was a 10! Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: A BIG HIGH FIVE ? and ?

Been at the Palladium 5 times over a 15 year period and again we will give it ?????????? stars. The grounds and beach are tropical and spotless, ocean is colourful. The selection of food/deserts is through the stratosphere, we’re not kidding. Kinda crazy but our diet is plant base and there is no shortage of choice for us. Grilled steak, chicken, pork, seafood with fresh bread/buns or hamburgers, hotdogs and pizza, this place is just crazy with what it offers. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Disappointed

Not at all what we expected. People smoking everywhere, unfriendly and unhelpful staff, poor service and mediocre food. Beach was nice and pools ok but not a place I would ever return to. The food was just OK but nothing special. The pool bars ignored you unless you gave them big tips. Room cleaning was a joke.
