Villa Del Palmar Cancun: best resort we stayed
Well umm there is nothing that I don't like about this hotel its just amazing! I will return to this hotel for sure its a simply the best we stayed at and family friendly too .Its a place you can call a paradise
Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Great resort
Grounds and room very nice was really disappointed no balconies. We did the up grade and really enjoyed the resturant on the 7th floor. Good selection was nice quiet dinning. Had a large group and was nice to all sit together
Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Excellent holiday!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandos Playacar. The staff treated us royally, the facilities were clean and comfortable, the food was great. Did not enjoy people smoking in and around the family swimming pool.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Romantic Getaway
The "Don Pedro" restaurant for our last night in celebration of our 31st Wedding Anniversary will always be a treasured memory! An absolutely fantastic resort on the Mayan Riviera. We will most definitely visit again, and recommend to our friends.
Secrets Huatulco: Tranquil and Beautiful Adult Only Resort
The Secrets property in Huatulco is absolutely gorgeous! Our stay was wonderful - pleasant, accommodating staff, good food, room service and an absolutely beautiful location. The resort is a little remote, but was perfect for a nice relaxing week away.
Tesoro Manzanillo: Great for the price
We had a great time as it was our first time to Mexico. The resort was great just the food I thought could of been better. A better selection would of made it more interesting. The weather was great and being on the beach made it great. We fished and the people were friendly.
Grand Sunset Princess: Phenomenal Trip
The best vacation my wife and I have ever had. We went for our honeymoon and stayed in the Grand Yucatan Platinum suite. It was the adults only section. It was great, room service was great. Food was amazing. Some dishes were not my favorite but the buffets had lots of variety. The a la carte restaurants were really good. Japanese and Italian food were the greatest. Each night had fun entertainment and good music. Playa del Carmen had great areas for shopping and a beautiful beach. Service excee [... read more]
Catalonia Yucatan: Nice, quiet resort
This was our first time to a resort. We choose this because it was a smaller resort with few children, (as we were leaving ours behind). This is exactly what we got, there was no sales people that approached us, no staff coming to offer drinks or snacks, which I was very happy about. We wanted a quiet place. The room had extremely good AC, but the buildings needed some maintenance. We spent our time in the ocean (not in the pools), it was nice to be able to go on long walks, and do some looking [... read more]
Meigas Binniguenda: Fantastic holiday at an amazing hotel!
Binniguenda was by far one of our favourite hotels in our travels! The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the staff warm and friendly and the authentic Mexican food was delicious! The nightly entertainment was amazing, truly talented dancers! We loved the smaller, intimate feeling of this hotel-truly a relaxing vacation. The beach is only a short walk away and though it is shared with another hotel, it does not feel overcrowded. There are many beaches a short cab ride away as well with spectacular [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort
Smaller resort and nice and quiet. However, you have access to the other 3 large resorts. With access to the other 3 resorts you can choose from among 12 a 'la carte restaurants. You also have a private beach area. Service was great and they upgraded us to there penthouse room which has a second story with a private hot tub. Also has a good golf course on the property.
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome resort and awesome golf!
My buddy and I travelled in May/14. The rooms, restaurants, pools, bars and beach area were all top notch. 5 star all the way. Anything we requested was a simple pleasure for the staff. I have no problem recommending this resort. I would definitly return. Thanks Sian Ka'an! Bob
Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Finally...a resort, not a factory.
Very nicely done. Visited the last week of March 2014 (Spring break). Never felt busy at all. It was like they booked to a reasonable number of people, not as many as they could get. We would go back.
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great stand alone resort
The hotel was clean and well kept. The food choice was great and we enjoyed the different restaurants. Not a good place for someone that has difficulty with stairs since there are many. We will return.
Melody Maker Cancun: me Cancun Mexico
Great hotel. I enjoyed my stay. It's very contemporary so if you're into that you should go for sure. But if you're looking for the Mexican experience this may not be the right place. The WiFi at the hotel was poor and worked mainly in the lobby but not a big deal. The food and service was good but could be a little better.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Staff & beach amazing, extras are lacking
The staff were amazing (housekeeping incredible, buffet staff awesome) but huge negative of this resort is that it now has dolphins in a tiny swimming pool and that's just cruel. I've been to barcelo 4x's and because of the captive dolphins we will not go back. Also the "extras" of barcelo are no longer offered - nighttime kids activites are basically nonexistent, and you can only eat in resteraunts (no snacks allowed up to room) and no severs by the pool or beach. Bonus was that we saw wild mon [... read more]
Hyatt Ziva Cancun: Great place
Super service, great rooms and beaches. Pool was a bit old but overall a great family place! You can go to the Dolphin lagoon that is right there. Food was excellent. You have 2 beaches. One beach that is less windy and one with bigger waves. Great food on the beach and bars all over the place.
El Dorado Royale: the name says it all: El Dorado Royale
great, clean place beach service where the staff uses your first name and even a chat with a smile excellent dining (so good you have to make reservations) very helpful consierges if you stay in the casitas
Riu Santa Fe: Fun resort!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Riu Santa Fe. The grounds were beautiful, great staff and a fun atmosphere. The room was great, but might've been nice to be in building 7 with a view. It's a short walk to the beach - if you can't get an oceanview room, I recommend staying at one of the buildings closest to the walkway, not by the disco.
Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Very interesting beach
Large hotel but service is very good. Room are clean, comfortable. Beach very good for snorkeling with beautiful rock formations.Plenty of chairs and shade on the beach. Very nice lazy river and shake bar. Good food variety, never had to wait for a table.
Las Brisas Ixtapa: My new favorite place...
We stayed at the Las Brisas during the Christmas week of 2013 and it was great. The staff here were awesome, everyone from front desk to beach staff. The beach itself was great, waves were big enough for the teenage kids to boogie board but not too big to cause any worries (although some days were close). The beach staff were awesome, they actually ran back and forth to serve everyone and seemed disappointed if you served yourself. Food and drinks were great on the beach as well. We did not have [... read more]
