Barcelo Solymar: Very bad

The main Hotel it's closed the other room they were given to us are worse the footage worse the food is bad p a process the ticket because of the main Hotel renovated but that was close ,?????????????¿

Roc Arenas Doradas: 3* resort

Beautiful beach. Friendly staff. Outdated rooms in building B11. Stains on bathroom towels and beddings. Very limited variety in food. No milk and cereals in the morning. Well maintained landscaping. Lots of smokers. Great coffee bar. I would not recommend this hotel for families with babies.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Beach Resort

The service was good but there was no service for drinks on the beach. The rooms were run down and did not look like the pictures. The lighting in the room was bad, it was very dark at night, even with all the lights turned on. There were sheets on the bed but no blankets. We had to use old ones that were stored in the closet. The food was decent. The coffee in the lobby bar and the snack bar was good. The beach was nice but there was a lot of seaweed on the shore. They didn’t clear it  [... read more]off so the beach looked quite messy but the water was amazing. This was rated as a 5-Star resort. I would rate it as 4.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Terrible foe most everything

Rooms were broken for TV AC and phones. Shower head broke off wall and screw ended up in my foot, never replaced our white towels until day we were leaving. Entertainment at the pool and beach was amazing, alcohol for sure watered down. Half the time non of the machines were working to make drinks even the cappuccino machine broken at 3 of the 4 bars. Beds were ok with comfort. But worst part about this resort is your always wrong and seem to be a bother when you ask for anything. I told them ab [... read more]out the thing broken and they didn’t even want to fix it. So we just left it after asking twice. Could have felt with everything if the staff were not as bad as they are. The front desk staff seems like they hated being at work. No one was friendly. And staying this we didn’t even make any big complaints. Oh and we had to keep using main bathrooms because our toilet didn’t flush. Big time this resort should be a 2 star at most. Don’t go here - opt to go to GRAND MEMORIES instead. it is pretty much next door and hands down way better. We went there two of the days on our trip and I wish so bad we would have just flown out following day to get into this hotel.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Fantastic resort

Nice staff, beautiful beach and plenty of foods.There is one restaurant near swimming pool to provide 24 hours of food service. Free Wi-Fi is also fast enough for us to keep in touch with friends and relatives outside of cuba.

Roc Barlovento: Its a good resort

Resort need to be updated, like the rooms. everything worked ok with no problems, workers are amazing what ever you need they will help you with.. pools are excellent beach is amazing. Food is not the best but I'm not a picky eater, what I payed it's a cheap vacation.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Relaxing place

Overall the place was good. they did run out of toiler paper but other than that I had a relaxing time at this resort. staff was very friendly. lots of families. beach was very nice and clean. enjoyed the fun and drinks

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Horrendous food

The hotel grounds and the beach are great, I really enjoyed the pool area. The cigar lounge was my favourite place the staff there are all amazing ! Tip them and they’ll take care you of you. Sadly the rest was a huge disappointment. The food was not only bad but gave both of us food poisoning. 2 of the people we met had the same issue. I spent a whole day on the toilet . We saw cockroaches in every restaurant there. The front desk is awful, not only they misinformed us upon arrival about th [... read more]e currency situation but anytime we can to ask them anything they either shrugged their shoulders or said no. They had no problem taking our Canadian currency and giving us pesos but when asked the next day if they can exchange 500 peso bill into 100s they said go to bar. The only good staff there are cigar lounge and pool area. Even 24 hr snack bar that had kind of decent food constantly would say “nothing yet give us 20-30 min”

Melia Internacional: Amazing experience

The rooms are big and we got upgraded to a beach viewed room after we experienced with no hot water for shower for two days. We complained to the customer service. They apologized and upgrade us to better rooms afterwards. The food/restaurant choices were not a lot but it’s sufficient and tasty. The unlimited alcohol is great. The pool/beach are great. The sand are very smooth with great water activities. They need to provide customer with clear direction of the resort, maybe a bro [... read more]chure with all the information of the resort. The Japanese restaurant definitely need an improvement of the menu as it’s not at expectation. The customer service staff also needs to improve their communication skills and English as it’s was very difficult to communicate with them.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Nice place to spend a week or. more.

Beautiful grounds, well maintained, clean. the beach is perfect. The staff is polite and friendly. Rooms are comfortable but need some maintenance. The food is variable and well presented, always fresh. The service is well organized.

Memories Jibacoa: Memories Jibacoa vacation

Amazing place for snorkelling from beach. Definitely will come again. Nice small resort for adults who don’t enjoy big crowds. Nice and clean. Only negative would be limited offer of drinks - no mojito or pina colada.

Club Kawama: Beautiful grounds

Hotel has beautiful grounds with old trees.is at walking distance from shops and restaurants. Proximity to the beach is great. Bed comfortàble. However the STAFF AT RECEPTION WERE UNWELCOMING : reluctant to change your room if you have no lights or hot water. They were also unwilling/incapable to give you basic information about where things are, when will the airport bus come, etc. Other staff (maids, servers at restaurant, gardeners) were great, much much friendlier and helpful.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Excellent Resort

An excellent resort. Very friendly staff. Beautiful beaches. Food was best we have so far in Cuba. Would return. All our interactions with staff were so pleasant. The resort offered a Cuban Party with grilled lobster Amazing !!

Villa Tortuga: Beautiful resort!

Beautiful and clean resort! The people of the resort were very nice and willing to help at any time. We really enjoyed our stay there. The only negative point: the food. But we understand that it was a difficult time for Cuba then.

Hotel Blau Las Morlas Varadero Beach: Belle expérience

J'ai adoré mon séjour à l'hôtel, Las Morlas. L'équipe était dévoués et souriant. À tous les soirs il y a eu des activités, mention spécial au spectacle de magique totalement fantastique. La chambre d'hôtel était propre, les matelas étaient neufs. Accès à un frigo et un coffre fort. Les femmes de ménages très bonne et discrète, aucune crainte à avoir. L'hôtel est bien situé sur le bord de la mer et à 15 minutes de marche de la ville. Une chose que je leur recommande, mettre des toilettes plus proche de la plage! Hotel Los Cactus: A Gem!

This is my third trip here. The beach is lovely. The resort is spotless. The food is good. The Chef will make you a special meal, like 'Cordon Blue'. And the people are truly wonderful. I have been to Cuba at least 20 times and I will keep going back.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: The Perfect Holiday

My husband and I just returned from this beautiful resort not only feeling relaxed but sad we had to leave. This was our second visit to the Royalton Hicacos. We could not have had a more wonderful time. Cuba has most definitely won our hearts. Anyone who visits Cuba falls in love with the clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches, and Royalton's beach is Exceptionally spacious and immaculate. We spent many days on the spectacular [... read more] beach and enjoyed the outdoor Barbeque grill of chicken, pork, fish and Paella available for lunch each day. Daniel and Leonis were always available and work so tirelessly to serve everyone's need. I was touched by both their attentiveness and kindness. Every afternoon we headed back to the pool for party games and the weekly foam party; which always was so much fun! We met great people from all over the world at the swim-up pool bar, Ari and Omar "at the pool bar" need a special shout out for always welcoming us with a smile. (As there were sometimes many many of us!) Royalton’s buffet always offered a variety of items and smiles; the only issue we had with the food was we often ate too much of it. I'm certain even the pickiest of eaters can find something, However, you may not see Michelin stars or every thing you're used to but remember where you are. It's the best of their best. Everything was Excellent and always plenty of it. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of talented musicians that performed in the evenings at the Lobby Bar and A-La-Carte restaurants. They were also often accommodating to our group allowing us to join in the fun. Nightly the Lobby Bar was our favourite place to be. Iced coffee in the mornings and Spanish coffee at night. Try a mulata. Sangria is also a lovely change. We owe many thanks and praise to the lobby bar staff, including, but not limited to, Eduardo, Yenifer & Cheily but the entire team are outstanding and kind. This time, I actually made it out to Yoga in the garden. It's held in the shaded gardens daily and is a beautiful way to start your morning with some meditation and stretching afterwards on the beach. Stephanie Olive of NRG2GO was an especially competent and knowledgable yoga instructor; she made easy enjoyable and fun! Stephanie was always available to assist, adjust and answer any questions we had. NRG2GO and it's instructors definitely add an extra bonus to the Hicacos resort. Once again we enjoyed a Cuban Rum couples massage in the resort spa, and it was as always fantastic, such a relaxing, calming experience. Treat yourself to one it's definitely worth it. Of course, what really keeps us coming back is the staff, they are a loyal, hard working and family oriented people. We enjoyed getting to know many; there's truly too many exceptional individuals to mention. Everyone at the resort makes you feel welcome with smiles and treat you as their friend with many who have become family, not only our friends. My advice to travelers is to take the time to talk to the staff and Cubans you meet in your travels so you can learn about Cuban culture and their way of life. Hotel Tuxpan: Great resort, Amazing staff!

This is a very nice resort with a fantastic beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee bar is very lovely and they make some amazing coffees. The room we were in was very spacious and the balcony had an outstanding view of the ocean.
