Riu Flamingos: Mediocre
Grounds were immaculate, place was clean. Great entertainment with bands and shows. Food was only average. Very large resort. Staff was very good. Drinks were ok. Rooms were ok but first stunk bad then second was cold. Temps were at 18.5 even though we had maintenance come. All in all I've got nothing really bad to say but nothing really good. But don't avoid it if the price is right because it is still a nice getaway!
Friendly Fun Vallarta: Excellant Resort
Very clean everywhere,Food was very good with a good selection. All staff were very friendly and lived up to the name. Had no downfalls that all three of us could find. Would go back again. Had lots of entertainment.
Plaza Pelicanos Grand: Can't wait to return
Beautiful location, relaxing but exciting atmosphere. Always something to do and available. Felt like a family by end of the week. Helpful, friendly staff, amazing event coordinators, great bar tenders.
Canto Del Sol: Best Service in Mexico
We really enjoyed this resort, small in comparision to the Mega resorts, but it was really nice. The service was amazing, everyone was so helpful and eager to please. If there was a negative about this resort it would have to be the balconies, they are tiny. As far as food, it was good. There was always something to eat, really appreciated the included room service when we checked in at 2am. The beach is small but there are always enough chairs.
Royal Suites Punta Mita: Perfect Family Holiday
ten of us from various provinces in Canada converged on the Grand Palladium Royal Suites in Punta de Mita. The resort was everything we hoped it would be. The resort was just the right size and we definitely enjoyed the adult only side that we booked. Great restaurants and very friendly staff. Toughest decision was whether we were doing the pool or the beach. The beach at Punta de Mita was terrific. Surfers, whales and lots of great vistas.
Grand Palladium Vallarta: 'Good' stay
Overall good experience, clean rooms, pleasant staff, beautiful grounds, food was good (wouldn't want to stay more than 7 days same food, but variety of options gets boring after a few days). What I didn't like was the way you were treated by color of bracelet. We had a purple bracelet.. this means we waited for dinner (about 1 hour-1.5 hours). Also this hotel is far from the airport and excursions.
Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Fantastic vacation!
Our first Mexican vacation exceeded our expectations on so many levels! Le Buffet was a real hit with the personable staff including Erik, Jesus and Jose to name but a few who spoiled us tremendously! The beach was beautiful, busy but lots of room and we enjoyed the beach volleyball immensely. We always felt safe and pampered, something for everyone and our 17 year old had a blast too. My only recommendation would be that the wifi be included. It's a necessity (unfortunately) in this day a [... read more]
Canto Del Sol: Enjoyable Vacation
This was our second visit to the Canto del Sol Plaza Vallarta resort in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel is nice, but nothing spectacular. The rooms are good, beds comfortable. Rooms are cleaned very well. The staff work very hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Food is good. We don't drink alcohol, but there were many non alcoholic drinks to choose from. They have an Italian restaurant, a surf and turf, and a Mexican restaurant. Along with the snack bar and buffet restaurant to choose from [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Looking forward to our 5th visit
This was our 4th visit and once again we had a great time. This hotel never feels full or overcrowded. There is no rushing for chairs early in the morning because there is the ocean to sit at and there are lots of pool recliners. If you put your stuff on the chairs before 9 am and are not there, the staff removes them and puts it on the bar for you to retrieve. The pool could be warmer is our only complaint. The food has improved every time and this year we ate at the buffet a fair bit and we wer [... read more]
Tropicana Hotel: Tropicana Hotel - Peurto Vallarta, Mexico
The hotel was nice they upgraded me from Superior to Junior Suite ( I think they couldn't find me in the system) LOL I had only a small view to the ocean - mostly my view consisted of street behind the hotel and other condos. The room had a working AC, gas stove, fridge, and coffee maker, along w/ utensil rack including spatula, spaghetti strainer, etc... My main complaint was there was no items necessary to utilize the suite such as an alarm clock, paper towels, dish soap, kleenex's or even a c [... read more]
Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: So much fun!!
This was my fifth hot vacation and by far the most fun I've ever had. Mostly because of the company I had but also because of this resort. The food is amazing, the hotel is spotless clean, and the staff are incredible. We made friends with quite a few of them during our stay and they made our stay that much more enjoyable. The entertainers are friendly and talented, the bartenders and servers are so attentive and efficient, and the show staff were beautiful to watch. I also can't say enough nice [... read more]
Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: this was one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at
everything was perfect from staff to the hotel room.the grounds were beautiful and always clean.the entertainment in the lobby area was nice touch in the evenings when person could wind down and relax.
Costa Club Punta Arena: Great place for relaxing
The place is great and has a different feel than those big chain hotels around it. It feels local, friendlier and more genuine. The resort has the right amount of amenities so that you don't feel trapped in there - you feel inclined to both enjoy the resort and the city. The food was amazing and plenty. It has a great array of buses right outside if you feel adventurous, or you can have a nice walk to the Malecón boardwalk. I loved that they had a adult pool away from the kids for when [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: An over-stated 5-star
All of the service persons were wonderful, perhaps except for one waitress. Customer service people were very helpful, on anything you need which goes for the medical attention we unfortunately needed as well. Food was adequate with all the basics. A la carte restaurants were about the same as the buffets. Don't expect high end foods. Asian restaurant was poor. They should give that up. Building is old as is the interior, rooms are small, pools are small but are family oriented. Beach is f [... read more]
Friendly Fun Vallarta: Wonderful Time!
Hotel is very nice, very clean and tidy. Staff are super friendly always going the extra mile to accommodate your requests. Food was a little repetitive but you could always find something to eat. The wait staff was always on the go with the drinks to the 3 pools, hot tubs and beach area. Grounds were beautiful including the banana trees! Always something to do - zumba classes, water aerobics, mechanical bull rides, kayak lessons, Spanish lessons, etc. The resident peacocks were always a t [... read more]
Friendly Fun Vallarta: Amazing Resort
Hotel is very nice "rustic", very clean and tidy. Staff are super friendly always going the extra mile to accommodate your requests. Food was a little repetitive but you could always find something to satisfy. The wait staff was always on the go with the drinks to the pools and beach area. Grounds were beautiful including the banana trees! Always something to do - zumba classes, water aerobics, mechanical bull rides, kayak lessons, Spanish lessons - always something.
Melia Puerto Vallarta: Decent hotel, good staff
We recently returned from a stay at the Melia PV. We had an upgraded room (Ocean front) which was excellent. The beds were very comfortable, and it was extremely quiet. It had probably been renovated as there was no sign of it being dated at all. The buffet was fairly good. the selection was very limited, but what was offered was very tasty. It wasn't the usual bland, buffet food, but had nice flavor, use of herbs and spices, etc. There were simple things missing like jam, cheese for b [... read more]
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Completely satisfied
Every area of resort was easily accessible, the layout was set up nicely lots of pools to swim in as well as the ocean. Food was great and always available when hungry, and the drinks plentiful. Will be going again next year, and it is a short ride from the airport. Servers where also very friendly and easy to get alone with.
Tropicana Hotel: The best in Ole town
We have been going there 7 years. We got married there in 2013. Great time. Always updatin and new tvs and palapas. Central to the romantic zone. Oldest hotels have the best beach. Great restaurants around. Venicicular close by.
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Great Resort!
From the hotel room, grounds and the wonderful people, we had an amazing time. The beach was private where drinks were served all day. The Breeze Restaurant was by far the best restaurant on the resort, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner by the oceon. The malacon is a five minute cab ride costing only 70 pesos, which is a must see.. Can't wait too return..
