Grand Memories Holguin: It's an okay Resort.
Employees- they are very nice Rooms- The one that we have is good, especially the view Buffet- Food is okay, just remember they have food shortages so you will find that they have the same food almost everyday. Washrooms on the resort- it's clean but has a little bit of smell. Pools- they have very nice pools, just needs a little bit of cleaning. Over all we enjoyed our stay.
Playa Costa Verde: Nice but needs improvements
The resort, although older is nice for the most part. The beach was beautiful and the staff was nice. There were certain basics that were missing. For one, the plumbing did not work for two nights and one could not flush the toilet. The patio door to our room did not lock properly. There was also no bottled water on one day. There were also few days were there were no eggs only egg substitute. The issue with that was that there was no real good alternative for breakfast. Lunches and din [... read more]
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great time
Great time spent there. You go to Cuba to have a great time but also to help our fellow Cubans. Based on Cuban standards, food was good, beach was excellent, service was average, rooms were clean! Will we go back, gladly!
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Good but not the best food
The hotel itself was very beautiful and the rooms were nice and got cleaned everyday. Most of the workers were nice. Amazing pool and beaches. The food had no good taste to it. Overall the hotel was nice but not good food.
Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: 3 star hotel at best!
The rooms were dated, need paint and new furniture, the beach was beautiful and the pools are pretty good, but missing tiles, and in need of repair. The staff is very attentive, however the food is terrible, and the lack of types of liqueurs and common mixes for typical drinks is very disappointing
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Very good
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a truly remarkable resort where the hospitality was second to none. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness. Ada Lagra and Dairon stood out with their exceptional service, making us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and personal touches were truly impressive. Jenifer Joaquin added a special touch to our experience, always available to assist with a smile and making sure our needs were met. The entire staf [... read more]
Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Beautiful resort
I just come back from my trip and I had such a great time with my Mom. From the moment we got to the resort we had warm welcome from the staff at the hotel. Everything went smoothly and fast. Our room was beautiful with the amazing view. All staff is so friendly and helpful. Our butler Ramon was the best. He was always there for us when we needed him. Buffet was very good with the variety of food which I enjoyed. Beach was perfect with lots of greenery and beautiful water.
Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing Family Vacation
This resort exceeded our expectations! We had a wonderful week as a family of 4! The hotel itself is beautiful (grounds, pools and rooms). Our room was always clean and the beds were comfortable. The kids pirate ship pool was a great bonus. The food is good, a little repetitive but delicious. The Indian A La Carte was our favourite! The beach is gorgeous! Crystal blue, shallow, calm water! The staff at this resort go above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back! [... read more]
Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: A great choice for a quite retreat.
This resort is a great option if you’re thinking about heading to Cuba. Although Santa Clara Airport is far it is worth the drive once you arrive to a super clean, well managed piece of paradise. The ocean is amazing and clear with lots of room and loungers The resort is well laid out and well maintained for the most part. The staff go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Planning to head back in the next 3-5 years.
Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort
Grounds were well kept, lobby was clean had a nice breeze and overlooking the infinity pool, room was nice and clean bed and pillows were comfy, a/c worked fine. Food seemed repetitive. Staff were always courteous. Butlers Maria Rosa and Javier were very helpful. Ran into a couple of issues in our room and they were addressed right away. Anay from housekeeping was awesome always gave us what we needed.
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beach is breathless!!
My sister and I stayed at Grand Aston, Cuba for one week in July 2024. This is the perfect resort for beach lovers and anyone who loves to spend time at the pool. The beach is amazing to say the least and there are plenty of pools to accommodate everyone's needs and wants. As for the foodies you will be disappointed because of the lack of fresh food, insufficient variety of alcoholic drinks, daily shortage of essentials and no waiters at the beach or the pools. In regards to the entertainme [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great resort
Hotel clean, rooms look up to date. All three Pools are great. Food is ok very small buffet and not much variety at all. Entertainment is ok. Did not see any shows in the theater which they advertise per day on the wall. Beach is good but the public beach not far has white sand and is beautiful and water so clear you can see so clear to the bottom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Some don't speak much English. Bring your own sun block as it's hard to buy over there and they ones they have no [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful resort!
This resort was so beautiful! Can't wait to go back :) My friend that I went with, it was her 3rd time at this resort. We had a beautiful week, sunny and very hot everyday! the pools and the grounds are beautiful, well kept! The water/beach was awesome, but a lot of seaweed this time of year! The staff were mostly all friendly! Our room was good. Food was a good, we had eggs five days in a row, bacon, pancakes, pizza, pork, chicken and fish. Salad bar was good. Desserts were delicious! 24 h [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: No better place in Cuba
This was our 5th trip to Paradisus Rio de Oro. Our last time was in 2019 so it was great to get back. The resort has everything we need but the main thing that keeps us coming back is the people. We have made some life-long friendships with staff members, many who we've kept in touch with over our 5 year absence. After a disappointing 2 hour check in, the rest of our trip was amazing. Even with the known shortages in Cuba, we never went without... Our room was the standard junior suite which wa [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: nice resort
it was our first time in Cuba. the resort was nice, the staff were all very sweet and helpful, the hotel rooms were clean with AC, the pool was nice and clean, it had nice entertainment for families during the day as well as at night, the food was good but they had lots of flies on the food in their open buffet restaurant. this resort could properly use some food containers that has lids to avoid the flies from standing on the food.
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort for beach and relaxation
Sandra from trip central is awesome informative friendly and efficient! Sunwing flight going and coming back was perfect. Arrival to the resort by bus was quick. Waited for our room ready around 2pm great! Our room and balcony was fantastic. Tropical views great safe walking nice breeze. Food was usual for Cuba. Service was good. Not many flies or mosquitos. Few issues didnt bother us as we came for the gorgeous beach. Only negatives is lack of food choices, smell of the lagoon was real [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: nice beach
We didn't expect to eat well, we are not fancy eaters neither but this time around in Cuba the food was not good. It was ok for first two days and after it was the same thing from the day before just preheated. Last three days we were eating only pizza because all the food was fermented. Last day there was no more cheese for the pizza. I fell bad for people who working there because its not their fault. The amount of plastic bottles and flip flops on the beach (outside of resort) is unbelievable [... read more]
Memories Jibacoa: Very nice staff at reception!!! They truly cooperated
Well. Where do I start. The place is outdated. Run down. But grounds are clean. My room had mini ants on the dresser and in bathroom. Diamond member???? The variety of food at the buffet was good. Excellent pizza. Good ice cream The view from my balcony was suffocating facing two huge mountains . The beach was full of seaweeds. And reeked. And beggars selling goods. As a diamond club member, no service on the beach. Went to the « lunch hut « where they had no ice, no lemonade, no c [... read more]
Grand Memories Santa Maria: Terrible
This hotel needs an upgrade Immediately...it's run down and dirty. The website is showing better pictures of the resort....it's a lie.Big shortage on food....locals get treated better than anyone. The bartenders were stealing the better bottles of liquor and selling them.. The pool was dirty and filthy, I know the resort's not. I've fault for this but there are flies everywhere... Cockroaches in the room.
Sol Palmeras: Beautiful resort and amazing beach
Very satisfied with the entire experience. All praise for the staff of the hotel and quality of the service. Beach is not to far from the hotel pool and entertainment facilities. May need improvement with coffee quality. Comparing with other hotels in Varadero and price for all inclusive , definitely recommending.
