Pineapple Beach Club: Beautiful resort

The grounds are very well kept, very clean. The rooms are also very clean and spacious, our room was on the 2nd floor right on the beach WOW. We slept through the night like babies to the sound of the waves. Food 5 stars without a doubt, from drinks to breakfast, lunch, snacks to dinner not only was it delicious the presentation of the plates served incredible. Cons: some of the local children & families would be near by and walk on our resort. Resort is for adults only. People with day passes were somewhat rude and loud at times.

Hawksbill Resort Antigua: Such a relaxing resorr

This is a classic resort, little bit old school, little bit dated, but everything works and the staff are some of the best anywhere. Always friendly and helpful and eager to make your time wonderful with going above and beyond the standard. All the beaches were great and each one is unique. Great snorkeling off the main beach straight out on the reef. Generous meal times so your day does not feel rushed. Very good food at all meals. St James Club and Villas: Amazing Resort

St James Club was a beautiful resort clean, well maintained, friendly staff, great food. Lovely pools and beach. Peaceful and relaxing. Great coffee shop with fresh goodies and sandwiches. Liked the golf cart service of drinks on the beach. Golf cart service to the restaurants and spa. Spa secular on top of the mountain and truly relaxing. Great theme nights and Disco and karaoke night as well. Looking forward to returning back

Hawksbill Resort Antigua: Great setting/Resort needs work

We loved the location, resort style, friendly staff and low-key ambience but the resort requires lots of improvements. The infrastructure is worn and needs an infusion of cash to get it back in good working order. For example the window louvres in the rooms and the screens all need repairs. The 4 beaches are beautiful but they cannot be relied upon as the sole reason to visit. Pineapple Beach Club: Return visit

Overall enjoyed this resort - returning guest so familiar with rooms, dining options, pools and beach. Aware of "new Covid resort fee" in advance but given that no "extra" cleaning or protocols were noted, we were not happy about paying the additional charges on check out. Room was only cleaned every other day and I don't believe floor was swept until the last cleaning when I ran into housekeeping and noted the layer of sand on floor and in sheets. Many of the hand sanitizer units throughou [... read more]t resort were empty for our entire stay. Internet is spotty and does not warrant any additional charges. All staff had masks but 90% never moved beyond their chin. There were a couple of staff members we encountered that wore masks consistently over nose and mouth. The resort fee and government fee are in US dollars and added an extra $34.0 US daily to our bill with no additional services. In view of this we will be looking for a resort/island that has not adopted this practice. Would happily return if/when this resort fee is abandoned.

St James Club and Villas: Not as expected

Firstly let me say that most of the staff at this hotel were lovely. The hotel itself had its good points, big rooms, large property etc. however the issues were as follows Firstly the beach.. on one side was the Atlantic which provided a small beach however due to the weed issues they have been having on that coast for years it was unusable. The other beach was a cove and looked nothing like the pictures. Within a few feet of being in the water it was dark and weedy. Secondly drinks… no [... read more]ne in the rooms, just an empty fridge, so you had to buy them at the hotel store and no drinks were brought to you on the beach or at the pool. Next the food… it was ok, occasionally more than ok but it was never more than that. They had two a la cart restaurants, one that was at an extra charge and only open two nights a week and required a dress code… the other was open 5 nights a week however the portions of food were ridiculously small. There was an outdoor buffet restaurant which was ok but not great and one other outdoor restaurant that was not great at all. A couple of nights there was a bit of music but mostly no entertainment at all All in all it was a disappointing experience…and when people look for a high quality all inclusive experience that was not cheap I think they need to know in advance what they are spending there money on.. thank goodness for excellent weather a beautiful island and great company.

Galley Bay Resort and Spa: Paradise

We just got back from a weeks stay at Galley Bay. This trip had been in the works for a couple years due to Covid. From the moment we arrived we felt safe and we observed staff cleaning, sanitizing etc. Our room was beautiful it had been newly renovated so everything was clean, crisp and new. At first we were a bit concerned as when we made this booking last year it was before the renovation and we wanted a room with no one above thats why we chose a Superior deluxe room category. Which mean [... read more]t a room from 1-16 these rooms are a bit closer to the beach. When we arrived we were given a key that said 71. But when we were taken to our room we soon were at ease with our view and room. The other ones look a bit more dated and in a busy location by the sports centre so needless to say we were pleased. Only other hiccup was a resort fee that they charge you on check out. We also inquired about this with the agent and she reassured us going by the Sunwing rep there would be no additional charges. That being said we spoke to the operations manager and he soon rectified the charge we still we had to talk to him then someone else and all of this should have been taken care of before we left which we thought it was. Other then that this resort and location is beautiful. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. It’s very laid back and quiet. Food was delicious. Only draw back was wine choice they do have a few red wine choices but there was one wine we enjoyed at Ismays but that restaurant there was a charge for which is well worth going once but they should have the wine we had there at the others as part of the all inclusive price. It was the Pino Noir. They did give us a bottle leaving the restaurant so we could enjoy in our room. But after that night we ask in the other restaurants and they said they don’t have it there. We enjoy our red wine and we are maybe a bit fussy. One day we did a sail boat excursion with Captain Sean i would highly recommend this...he takes you to a reef to snorkel and feeds you and his rum punch yum yum. We enjoyed as it was a small group of 8 of us so its not like a party boat. He took care of you. Overall we would defiantly return to Antigua and Galley Bay Resort & Spa

Pineapple Beach Club: In fairness-staff Covid tired

Maybe 2 years plus of Covid and a lengthy months long shutdown took its’ toll but we thought by now things would have normalized. For the most part staff were great. Reception staff didn’t seem to know how to resolve any issues. High turnover of staff and lack of training maybe? Reservation desk staff-disappointing. We have been here many times and see the noticeable difference. Coffee shop staff always great. Galley Bay Resort and Spa: Awesome resort

We stayed here in March 2022 and this place is a great place to relax and unwind. There's nothing pretentious about this resort yet it still is luxurious in a natural, simple kind of way. Everything is in its place and every detail is taken care of to make your stay completely problem or hassle free. The best part for us was the food at each of the restaurants, with different menus every day for lunch and dinner. And as for Antigua itself, this was our first time there and we will definitely be going back. It's a great little island with friendly people and many places to visit off the resort.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: First Trip to Antigua Was Amazing

From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully. The management and all staff couldn’t do enough for us. The most courteous staff I’ve encountered at a Caribbean resort. The resort is very nice and well layed out. They are extremely on top of COVID prevention. Mask wearing by all staff at all times. Guests wore masks in restaurants other than while seated. Our temps were checked, and we sanitized our hands upon entering each restaurant. Very impressive. St James Club and Villas: Great resort

Lots of greenery all around the resort. Coco beach that faces Atlantic was unfortunately closed due to the seaweed, however resort also has a beach that faces the bay, water was calm and good for swimming however not the greatest as it was kind of murky. This has to do something with type of sand rather than been unclean.Food was excellent and cleanliness extremely good. Coffee bar was my favourite with specialty coffee available whole day. Not very impressed with extra 25 us $ [... read more] charge per day as the room was only cleaned every second day so not really sure why extra cleaning charge was needed specially as room is occupied with same guests whole week so no need to deep clean during your stay. Felt safe as everyone was practicing safe Covid protocol.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Run down and falling apart

Rooms are really run down given the hotel is only 2 years old. Buildings are falling apart, looks like a motel rather than a 5 star hotel inside. Beach and grounds are well maintained. Most of the staff are very helpful, however the maintenance of the rooms are terrible. The hotel charges $300 US per person for PCR when at james bay resort charges $100, they also charge u $5 us per person per night for some sort of made up levy which is not mentioned anywhere else

Hawksbill Resort Antigua: Caribbean feeling

We just got back from Hawksbill resort. Island, beach is gorgeous..weather usually super. Pool ...does not apply... No showers..outside Entry in country is easy, fast . They check the covid papers but things move quick. Things become interesting on the way back...You have to make appointment for the test...which cost 200 usd each person...plus 50 usd per person if you want them to come to the resort to take the test...so it's 500usd per couple. The resort itself is also under Covid regulations, food is served to you , less salad bar... Personal wears masks all over, guests at the bar and restaurants. Out of resort , mask required and generally respected. Recommended to book premium rooms...standard ones can be..bad.

St James Club and Villas: Just wonderful

Meticulously kept gardens, clean eating areas, plenty of pools, well mannered staff and delicious food make this resort a great choice. Spend the extra money for royal suites and you won't be disappointed. Remember you are on island time, so sit back, relax and enjoy you quiet time, one of the water sports or am excursion.

Jolly Beach Antigua: Beautiful people of Antigua

I can only say thank-you again! The hospitality and smiles can only make you have a beautiful holiday! Our third year! We will be back! Although my luggage was lost for 4 days..people were amazing with their generosity from the resort! I enjoyed seeing the in land of cultures, lifestyle and scenery! Thank-you!

Ocean Point Resort and Spa: Fabulous vacation

My husband and I returned on Saturday, March 14 in the nick of time (covid-19 upheaval). Ocean Point Resort and Spa is a quiet, quaint, well maintained resort. The food was wonderful but we were disappointed that if you wanted anything from the a la carte menu, you had to pay. Which we would not. Either not have that menu at all or have it included in the all inclusive package. The room (122) was beautiful. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss, no big deal. Most of the staff were extremely friendly. There were a few, one at the front desk and two in the restaurant who did not look happy to be there. We used the larger of the 2 beaches and it was never crowded. Many times, I was the only one in the ocean. The sand and view was awesome. The only complaint about the beach is the abundance of stones/rocks once you are in the water a few steps. After a few days, I found a small path that avoided most of the them. They had karaoke on Wed and a band on Thursday which was a lot of fun. There were so many lovely sitting areas on the property to enjoy a drink. Entertainment the other nights would have been nice. The sun wing rep was useless so I booked an excursion with Claudia who is the public relations rep for the hotel. She was very friendly and efficient. Rossana, the marketing manager was very helpful prior to our trip, answering all of my questions through e-mail. She always responded the same day or the next day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return one day.

St James Club and Villas: Great place

The four of us felt the restaurants / meals were excellent [along with the theme nights]. Our oceanside room was great and the beach area was cleaned daily to remove any seaweed washed up during the night. Several pools were available with a bar nearby. We especially liked the staff who were always there with a smile, great service and willing to "kibits" with you in a friendly manner.

The resort was perfect. perfect in size as we prefer smaller resorts. Grounds very well maintained, staff was very professional and always helpful. Our room was one of the beach front units, which is in need of some TLC but was well located for most of the amenities the resort had to offer. food was good, not once disappointed with what was available at the buffet or a la carte restaurants. St James Club and Villas: A resort that lived up to its reviews

We enjoyed our stay at St.James—great staff, excellent beaches (2) lots of water activities, multiple choices for pools, good gym, 4 tennis courts, well maintained property,etc., Not a lot of night life but that was ok. The Piccolo restaurant is a gem and worth the extra money. Loved the 24 hour coffee bar.
