Riu Palace Antillas: Great resort in a fantastic location

Our room in the resort was a little run down. We wish we had stayed next door at the Riu Palace Aruba because it is newer. Our bed was not very comfortable. Nonetheless, the food and service was very good so it balanced out in the end.

Riu Palace Antillas: Very good experience!

We are a couple in our 50's and stayed for a week in late February. We had a really good experience. Checking in was really fast and I think it was due to Sunwing and the hotel setting up a separate check in desk for Sunwing people. We had the top floor, partial sea view facing north toward the Palace resort. Below us were the roof air conditioning units and they are noisy so staying outside on the patio for any length of time was something we didn't do much. The room was large and included an i [... read more]n room bar with the fridge re-stocked every day. Bed was comfortable. There's an in room safe as well. Overall the service from the staff is really good. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Learn a couple of local phrases and they really seem to appreciate that. We tipped a few times during the week but really the service is the same whether you do that or not. There is drink service around the pool but not on the beach. Finding room on the beach is always a challenge everywhere due to the people getting up first thing and reserving spots whether they're using them or not. However we always found a decent spot even though we'd wander down around 8:30am. There's guys on the beach who help you setup your loungers. Food was generally very good to excellent. There are no reservations at the restaurants which meant lineups sometimes. The steak place always fills up so line up around 6pm. It opens at 6:30 and if that seating is full they give out pagers for the later seating and once those are gone it's full. We used the buffet at the Palace as well and it was good but be ready for lots of kids. Booking thru Tripcentral worked worked well and they were great at providing emails with updates, tips and trip details. All in all we had a very good trip!

Riu Palace Aruba: Beautiful resort

We were very impressed with the staff at the hotel. They were friendly and attended to our needs in every way. The decor could be modernized, but it wouldn’t change our minds about returning. The view is amazing and the buffet / restaurants are excellent. One recommendation would be to add washrooms to the restaurant level of the hotel. As it is now, you need to go to the upper level. As pleased we were with the facilities, we found the check in with Sunwing confusing. It seemed as if we we [... read more]re doing it on our own. Also, having to take a shuttle bus to a satellite terminal added several minutes to our trip, there and back.

Riu Palace Antillas: Amazing resort

The resort was awesome from service ... food and service from the hotel staff. We would have a nightly recap... the staff always recommended a drink that we may enjoy. The hotel manager was always approachable and friendly whenever we walked by. Very professional and friendly... Thank you

Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort: Renaissance Aruba Ocean Suites

Recently stayed at the Ocean suites in Aruba. Hotel was always clean and staff very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent with a wide variety to taste. Pools and beach were fantastic. The hotel has it's own Island beach so a quick water taxi ride over and you could enjoy the beach , flamingos and the restaurant . We were on an all inclusive package where the Hotel offers different packages such as discounted rates and pay as you go. The draw back was every time you get food or drink you [... read more] had to give your room number to the server and were given a bill to sign. The bill already had a service charge in lieu of tip but was also suggesting tip amounts on the bill even for all inclusive. My wife felt uncomfortable giving the room number at the bar as one time another guest heard her # and then said I bet there will be a party back in the room with the same number she had just given. As a women it did not give her a safe feeling and I think it could be something the Hotel can correct for future guests.

Riu Palace Antillas: Great resort

Hotel was a bit outdated but very clean. We accidentally left our safe open one day and when we returned to the room, Realized it and all our valuables and cash was left untouched. Honest maids. Very friendly atmosphere.

Nice hotel, needs some upgrades, the Aruba palace side nicer, and more newer looking. But both hotels are conviiently c lose to beach.service was slso very good..Aruba very nice island and very happy atmosphere. Happy island.

TRYP by Wyndham Aruba: Beautiful week in Aruba

We stayed at the Brickell Bay Beach Club while is Aruba. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and had a very relaxed feel. We did not love our bathroom. The counter top was damaged and the whole bathroom was just ok. I really liked the laocation as the hotel is walking distance to the beach, restaurants and other hotels and resorts. The area seemed very safe. I would go back.

Riu Palace Antillas: Fantastic

Riu Palace Antillas Junior superior suite ( villa) location was perfect. I would always want to be on the 3rd top floor to take advantage of the amazing ocean view. The suites were dated but nice. We changed rooms once because the hot tub jets were not working and the shower stall drain was plugged. There were also 4 light bulbs that were burnt out that needed replacing. Once we change rooms the shower stall drain was still plugged in that room. We asked to have that fixed 3 times and they kept  [... read more]saying it would be taken care of but never was. So by the time I finished taking a shower I’d be standing in a good 4 to 5 inches of water. I heard they were going to do some renovating . I would love to go back to the same location after the renos. Grounds were beautiful The buffet was different every night with a great selection of foods. service was also great . Much better than the al la carte restaurants . All in all we had an excellent time and loved Aruba .

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Trip to Aruba!

Although we had an exceptional time in Aruba and the food was phenomenal at the Riu Palace Antillas resort, we feel as though the price was a little steep for what you get. considering the resort was adult only, there wasn’t much to do, barely any activities or entertainment, swim up bar was extremely small and the rooms were mediocre. There was always a longer than normal wait to get on the elevators as well! The food at the buffet and a la carte restaurants were outstanding!

Riu Palace Antillas: Excellent Resort!

This hotel is very nice. Very clean, fantastic beach, staff very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent. The buffet was also very good...fresh and tons of variety. Bathrooms on resort were always clean wherever you went. I would highly recommend this resort and give it 5 stars!

Went for 9 days Sunwing Flight Delayed 1.5 hrs going down, 15 minutes coming home - not the 1st time with Sunwing Upon entering hotel room noticed a "musty" smell - complained to Front Desk who sent Housekeeping up who in turn sprayed air freshener Next morning examined room thoroughly - back of curtains covered in black mold, back of bed runner covered in black mold, furniture and ledges dusty, fire system horn covered in dust, bathroom floor and tub was disgusting Front Desk moved us to [... read more] another room within 2 hours - that room had issues. Toilet not working, safe not working, lamp shade had mold. 2nd room was much cleaner then 1st room was. Hallway was dirty - did not look like the carpet was vacuumed the entire time we were there No quality control on cleanliness of rooms and hallways Rooms and hallways need upgrading Other areas of the resort were clean and well kept. Grounds were kept nice. Outside staff always sweeping/mopping. Pool/Beach Bathroom cleaned up constantly. Staff was overall not friendly or inviting Paola, at the beach towel booth, was so friendly and fun. Keep this staff member happy!!! Food was excellent, buffet was amazing Best Restaurant we found was seafood restaurant Beach was nice; however, debris/cups/etc were not cleaned up from beach on daily basis Resort close to airport This place is all about numbers - fill the place up.

Tamarijn Beach Resort: Excellent resort!

This place was amazing! Food was awesome beaches were beautiful.. was planning on touring the island but stayed at hotel. . Will be going back next yr for sure! Pool was nice but we prefer the beach..

Riu Palace Antillas: Beautiful beach!

The hotel was alright, nothing spectacular.Food was good, whatever people didn’t eat I found the food got “recycled” into another dish the following day. Hotel staff was amazing, although the room was really outdated, it was extremely clean and the fridge was restocked 1-2 times a day. The beach was beautiful. A lot of room and staff made it easy to locate an ideal spot. No comment regarding the pool as we spent everyday on the beach. FYI - STEAK HOUSE A++++

Barcelo Aruba: Great holiday at the Barcelo Aruba

We stayed at the Barcelo Aruba in early January 2020. We had a pool/ocean view room with two double beds. We had our two children with us (13 and 12). PROS: very clean, excellent service, great location, hotel is a nice size - not too big, not too small, lovely beach, big pool, a la carte restaurants are very good (we ate at all of them and had no problem getting reservations which we made the day after we arrived, including the teppanaki at Kyoto - all the a la cartes were good but the Mex [... read more]ican and Japanese were really good), buffet was also good - always had fresh grill on the go for eggs, omelettes, fresh grilled meats and fish, and a pasta bar - you could always find something, nice lobby bar area, decent shopping and restaurants in walking distance to hotel, very safe (this goes for the entire island - you can walk the beach or in town in the evening and have no concerns). CONS: hotel rooms and their balconies are a little small, music at pool was sometimes really loud, small plastic glasses for drinks (take an insulated cup - you can get a bigger drink and it is better for the environment - kudos to Barcelo as they are at least using paper straws but the cups and the trash generated from those cups is insane - I think hotels should start providing an insulated, branded cup at check in for each guest to re-use during their stay), need more chairs at pool, hard to get palapa at beach, needs a casual takeout type of restaurant as even the beach grill is a sit down restaurant. What truly makes this resort a good choice is the staff. From the bar and restaurant staff to the front desk to the beach to housekeeping, we had wonderful experiences with all. Thank you to the Barcelo staff for a great holiday!

Tamarijn Beach Resort: Great Resort

Hotel is close to airport, right on the beach, it's about a 30 minute walk into town, great beach to walk to see other hotels. Lobby has shops, snack bar, bars, restaurants. We were given 2 refillable water bottles and beach bag at check -in, which came in handy, lots of water and ice stations at the resort for fill up. Divi Golf Resort is across the street, they have a golf tournament on Wednesdays and Fridays. We signed up and played in the Friday 2 person scramble, that included 9 holes, c [... read more]art, rental shoes, sleeve of balls and 2 drinks after the round. Price was $80.00 US per person, and prizes for 1st and 2nd. Food at the hotel is very good, We ate at the buffet for breakfast, sometimes lunch and dinner when we didn't have a reservation at one of the other restaurants. We ate at the Italian and also the restaurant where you cook your food on the table, we went to the Divi next door and ate at the red parrot as well, as it had been recommended,we also ate at their buffet, just to see if different from our buffet. We enjoyed the snack bar in the lobby area at lunch, good variety of food and quick. We did find the rooms small compared to other resorts where we have stayed, but someone said how much time do you really spend in your room ? We had 2 queen beds and small table and 2 chairs. Another thing that was different from other hotels we have stayed at, is they usually have a stocked fridge with water, pop and beer, ours was empty, so we asked at the front desk and they said no they don't stock them, if we need anything we could get at the bars or restaurants.

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Experience overall!

My husband and I really liked the unbeatable location and most beautiful sandy beach. Also, all restaurants, pool and beach were within a couple of minutes from the main elevators. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. The food was extraordinary. The daily buffet was amongst the best we have ever experienced. The service staff was very attentive and pleasant. The specialty restaurants were also nice. The pool and beach staff went out of their way to find us lounge chairs and shade [... read more]. The two issues that were not very positive were that the entertainment was not at the same standard as other resorts that we have visited in the past. Secondly, the pillows were horrendous. Riu Palace Antillas: outstanding!

An incredible resort, Spacious, clean, great facilities, perfect location. Food and beverage service was amazing, high quality meals. Above everything else was the employees at the resort, housekeeping, servers in all the dining rooms and bars went out of their way to ensure our holiday was the best. Front desk staff and outdoor recreation activity employees were proffessional and helpful. Our tour representative (Brian) went above and beyond. Riu Palace Antillas: Very nice resort

The Riu Palace Antillas lived up to our expectations. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help out. The food was excellent., fresh fish and a large selection of salads etc... The managers were always willing to assist their staff and were helping out when needed. Riu Palace Antillas: We would go back.

The hotel , while old and in need of some updating , was comfortable and clean. The staff was amazing , especially Jonathan and Freddie at one of the outdoor bars. They were just wonderful people. The restaurants we’re mediocre, the room where the buffet was was institutional , but the food was good. Pools were clean. Beach was beautiful. Drinks were generous on the alcohol, but served in cups so small you could finish them in 4-5 sips. So all in all we enjoyed our time but may try another hot [... read more]el that is less dated and has full services. While we were there not all restaurants were open and one very ideally located bar by the beach was closed 3 of the 7 days. On a scale of 1-10 , we would rate the resort a 7
