Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

This resort is beautiful. The rooms are very nice & the beds & pillows are super comfortable. The food was great, especially the daily BBQ near the pool. The staff at the restaurant were awesome always took care of you, and very very nice. The hamburgers were so good. The pizza hut was just ok pizza. Many pools which was great, but only things I disliked was no stairs in the pool, only ladders to get in and out of the pools. The coffee shop had great cappuccino. The front desk people were sup [... read more]er nice, but the only downfall was after you are checked in the send a rep to talk to you about the resort and the get you to be involved in a 90 min meeting about selling their resort to you in a similar of timeshare. Some become very aggressive, not all! The rep i had did! if you repeated say NO! This was the biggest downfall for me I come to relax and not have to deal with Reps repeatly coming and talking to you about buying into their packages to return to cut out the middle person basically ( airlines/ travel sites) this was a big turn off & why I wouldn't recommend or return to this resort. My opinion this is situation is making people not wanting to return after dealing with this. I had talked to other guest also that didn't like this, & said they wouldn't return either because of it. The entertainment was great. The lobby bar wasn't open 24 hrs and open later which was kinda off has you would have to find another place to get a beer or drink until they did. They should have at least 1 bar open 24 hrs. The beach is non existent, very very small. We knew this but it was kinda a big downfall also. Their was 3 designated smoking areas with seats to sit but they ready should have some shade around them has it is full sun at all. Overall the staff was awesome, but not the Reps selling, this didn't sell me to return unfortunately. It was a nice vacation but not the resort for me. I wished I had a better experience for my 1st time in Mexico, it was just OK for this resort~ just my opinion.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: I couldn’t ask for anything more!

I have just returned from 8 days at the beautiful Hyatt Vivid and it was fantastic. The hotel made sure that everything was done to make our stay a wonderful experience. Firstly, the staff. They work so hard. The hotel and rooms are spotless. The service in the bars and restaurants are efficient and friendly. The front desk staff are very welcoming and available to answer any questions that we had. There is always a staff member around and available for any questions. The hotel is spotle [... read more]ss and very well cared for. It is beautifully laid out and easy to get around. We loved our room. Very spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. There is a great variety of food, all of it delicious and made from delightfully fresh ingredients. We did not ever go hungry or thirsty! I could go on, but I highly recommend, that if you are reading this, you should check it out for yourself. I know I will be back. Many thanks to the Hyatt Vivid team for a truly wonderful vacation!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Luxury

Our 3rd visit and was still a gorgeous resort, food is top notch! Don’t care too much for the entertainment as once you’ve seen these shows it’s the same every time. Service is top notch and worth purchasing the prive package with the perks.

The resort was beautiful. A+++. It, in many cases, exceeded expectations. The grounds were beautiful, very earthy, full of wildlife and private, which is exactly what I like. The options for pools, the large fun pool, another pool for laps or just hanging out while still able to hear the music from the large pool was great, and then of course the golden pool, which is like a lazy river, was wonderful because it also had access to snacks and drinks and a really laid back vibe. The activities on  [... read more]the beach, in the pool and in and around the gym and outside of the gym were numerous and varied. The live music before and after the show was current and felt perfect for the vibe of the resort. The live shows were good, and with updates to the venue would improve their appeal. The service everywhere was abundant, and everyone made you fee truly special. Having access to quick room service (45 minutes) was awesome. The variety of food as well as its flavors was excellent, and the service wonderful. Wish the waves were not so abundant the week we were there, but the beach was also very beautiful. Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great for kids

The kids pool are was amazing. The boys wouldn't stay out of it. We had a swim out right in front of the water park. Highly recommend so you dont have to fight for lounges.. Pool chairs and umbrellas are gone early in the morning. People are up at 5:30 to put towels on chairs. They dont enforce rules to stop hoarding lounges. The food was resort food, good but not great. Restaurants are hard to book. The trucks had amazing fresh fish fingers. The property is beautiful but unfortunately the be [... read more]aches were covered with the sawgrass. Ocean swimming was not enjoyable.

Catalonia Yucatan: Amazing

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. Everything was excellent — the property was very clean, well-maintained, and beautifully organized. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which made our experience even more enjoyable. ? Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: The Best

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Food in all restaurants are top notch. Entertainment staff and all staff very friendly and professional. Always a smile on their faces. The pool is massive and so much fun to hang out all day long.

Grand Oasis Riviera: very nice place

Staying at this resort was nice. Even though 1.30 hr. from airport , we were pleased to observe cleanliness , appreciate the diversity of pools designed and grounds respecting local nature, personnel was accommodating. Restaurants and food well maintained, food not as diverse, sweets do need more improvement ,as well as drinks from bars.

Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club: Amazing experience

I stayed at Secrets Tulum for 7 days and 6 nights, and honestly, the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. They greeted me with a warm smile, a hot towel, and a glass of champagne, which set the tone for the entire stay. The service throughout the resort was exceptional — the staff were incredibly attentive, always checking in to make sure I was okay and asking if I needed anything for my room. It never felt forced, just genuinely caring. What [... read more] really stood out to me was how the staff went above and beyond. The cooks and the team at Coco were especially memorable — they took the time to remember my order, even though I wasn’t there for very long. That level of attention made me feel valued and seen. Room service was also great — always on time and exactly what we needed. We did have one small issue during our stay, but Louis handled it so well. He made sure we felt heard and went out of his way to make it right, which I really appreciated. I went for my birthday, and they truly made it special. My door was decorated, and right at midnight, room service surprised us with a bottle of champagne and cake. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a romantic, relaxing getaway, this is definitely the resort for you. It’s peaceful, intimate, and perfect for couples. If you’re looking for a party vibe, this may not be the spot unless you’re coming with a group and bringing that energy yourself. The club is open until 1 AM, and while it can be quiet, the DJ is great and really plays based on the crowd’s vibe. Overall, I would absolutely return. The service, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail made this a 5-star experience for me.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: 2nd time at Royalton Cancun

I had a super relaxing and fun vacation. The staff are all very nice and helpful. Things that could use some attention ceiling in the shower was falling down and the tap handle fell off. There was an old sock in the baths and the glasses in my room were dirty It is next to impossible to get dining reservations at restaurants. Honestly I am not su [... read more]re I would recommend to a friend based on how frustrating it was to book dinner reservations . And you can only book 2 days in advance ? You get either 5:30 or 9 pm It is much better in the adults only side that’s where we stayed last time. We had little ones with us this time and they had lots of fun .

El Dorado Casitas Royale: Our new favorite!

We loved El dorado royale so much we plan on returning. The staff are wonderful, there are 3 resorts to enjoy, lots of walking which we loved, there are more restaurant choices then you can imagine and the service is fabulous. We never worried about finding a chair by the pool or beach, we never worried about finding beach towels. We have never experienced a resort so perfect for us that we couldn't wait to come back.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Paradise in Mexico

Check in excellent. They were able to put us and my sister in law and brother in law in the same building and floor. They had us initially in separate buildings. Buffet lunch was awesome as were the margaritas. Back to lobby and wished off to our rooms. Junior suites in building 4. Rooms are large and so so nice . Toured the property , so lush and beautiful. Had supper at Mary Tara the first day, again excellent food . Hubby had ribeye cooked perfectly , I had pork rib and red pe [... read more]pper soup(so good). Then it was off to the plaza for Mexican night. Good drinks and live Mexican band. Morning coffee at cafe sisal a must. Supper at Ginger the teppenyaki tables, good show and food. Weather has been perfect so far on day three. Our first visit in 2023 the French restaurant was closed for reservations, this visit we dined there and it was amazing. Beet salad, French onion soup ( lived up to all the hype), beef filet excellent. Taman Sari was disappointing. Chicken Satay was good but the Tom Yang soup was not spicy or hot. It was luke warm. The pad Thai was ok but not hot just warm. My husband’s pad Thai had barely any rice noodles and his pork rib was all bone no meat. This was a far cry from our previous 2023 visit. The Mexican restaurant was excellent, highly recommend. Italian restaurant was good enjoyed our meal. We did do the French restaurant twice it was that good. The Magic show was worth the watch. Very entertaining as was the Rock Circus show. Fire show on Sunday was entertaining. Service throughout the resort was outstanding, as was the maid service and nightly turn down service. Drinks hit and miss and cocktails not a lot of alcohol seemed to be in them. Margaritas were good , very tart but again not a lot of tequila went into them. Prosecco was very good and we both liked the Sauvignon blanc house wine. Bloody Cesar’s were excellent. Resort could benefit its patrons by providing more shade. Portable umbrellas would help. Chair game is fierce at main pool. Only downside of this resort. Beach chairs under shade no problem. Chairs and shade by silver pool can grab one before 8 am. Chairs and shade by golden pool/river good no need to rush . Sunday morning security came around one half of main pool before 7am and removed all towels and belongings They did this three times. If you weren’t with your stuff before 7am they took it . First time I have seen this happen. All in all we have a wonderful vacation once again at the Valentin. You won’t be disappointed if you book here

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Relaxing

My husband and I had a wonderful Relaxing vacation. The whole resort was beautiful and very clean, staff is top notch and the food was Excellent. The only thing I was disappointed in was trying to walk into ocean it was very rocky. The beach was beautiful but very difficult to just walk in and enjoy the ocean my elderly parents would not be able to go in the ocean for this reason.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Hyatt Zilarah

Loved the very quaint setting , staff was friendly clean rooms, dining alla cart options were good, service on the beach was great , entertainment was wonderful, daily activities were ok but not too upbeat, extra classes and activities were fun to participate in. Had overall a great experience. We woukd definitely recommend and return again. The only thing is the lighting in rooms was very dim, beds are very sqeeky

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Family Fun.

We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful, spacious rooms with a great view. All the employees were kind and courteous. We enjoyed the restaurants and family activities. We found the resort perfect for being family oriented. The only downside is that there are never enough lounge chairs for the demand.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great family resort

Great property with amazing clean, great Wifi, access to multiple pools, services are amazing. Property has its own mall, handicrafts stalls, go carting, discotheque and other amenities, no need to step out. Above all, great pricing and only one drive from Cancun airport. Vegetarian food choices can be further improved

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great Vacation!

Our second time visting this resort and we enjoyed every minute. Was a quick shuttle bus ride from the airport to the resort. Check in was smooth but didn't love the time share people swarming us as soon as check in was complete. Resort grounds are beautiful and everything is close by so no long walks to the room, pool or to food. Beach had lots of seaweed but that's just part of mother nature; the staff we working at cleaning it up most of the day with raking and a tractor. Food was great - do  [... read more]not need to make reservations, just walk up each night to the restaurant you want to try. Buffet had lots of choices for all meals. Gluten free options were label on the restaurant menus and staff made other suggestions/accomadations as requested. Wish they had more loungers around the pool and beach; if you weren't an early riser, you were stuggling to get a group of chairs together

I would give this resort 5 stars. All the staff were professional, kind, and very helpful. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the walkways were kept clean, and I felt like I was in another world. The pools were great, but the beach not so much, but was expecting that. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. Food was delicious. Staff were always pleasant, friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this resort. Evening entertainment was always very good. Loved that we did not have to make reservations for dinner.
