El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Very nice

Was maybe one of the best all-inclusive resorts I’ve been to and I’ve been to over 50. The service was excellent. I didn’t do a lot of the restaurants but the room service was excellent and also very fast. The pool could’ve been a little bit cleaner, but the lobby in the main lobby is absolutely beautiful

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great time

The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were very nice a large. Great staff and easy to get around. A la cartes were much better than buffet, found this lacking, however never went without. Beach is the downside as there is heavy seaweed and no amount of work can remove it. Not their fault. Pools, oh the options!!!! 4 pools depending on your level and it was great!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful vacation and magical wedding

We had the most lovely time at this resort with our family and friends for our wedding. The resort experience was wonderful and all our guests had a great time and enjoyed the various restaurants and amenities. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, they accommodated everything we asked for and went above and beyond. Exceptional service at the wedding and the general resort. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this resort.

Ocean Eden Bay: Clean, well maintained and Comfortable Resort

My husband and I vacationed here for a week. Very clean and well maintained hotel. Rooms were great, loved the hanging egg chair. Bed was comfy and the shower was great. Loved our balcony. Pool was lovely with lots of lounge chairs. Beach was awful, basically no where to swim. BRING WATERSHOES. The restaurants were delicious on the Eden side. Lots of variety but it's a VERY Americanized resort so if you're looking for Jamaican culture, not the place. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. [... read more] Be aware that if they try to tell you about the Privilege Membership, it's a total sales pitch for 2 hours and they are very good at playing the games with you. Missed our orientation because we thought the sales pitch was our orientation. Turned us off.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Fantastic Resort.

This was our 4th time at this resort. It is very beautiful and lots of walking or you may take the train. Our rooms were clean and very spacious. The fridge was replenished every day with soft drinks, beer and water. The pools were very clean, as well as the beach. We walked on the beach a few times and it was great. We ate at the buffet a lot. There was a variety of food to choose from. They had a theme each night. We had dinner at the steak house which was great. The bever [... read more]ages were good at all the bars. The coffee shop was great. They made great cappuccino and Spanish coffee. Which we had a few. The coffee shop also served cakes, cookies and sandwiches. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint we had was not enough chairs and umbrellas around the pool. People were reserving chairs at 6 am. We really like the wrist bands. No keys to deal with. Thank you to all the staff at the resort.

Ocean El Faro: Very good overall resort / Better than average food / Mediocre beach area

We've traveled to multiple AI resorts 2-3 times a year for over 20 years. I'm in my mid-40s, and I'm not that difficult. I know what I like and what to expect for the price paid. My fiancé and I traveled with our 10-year-old daughter for this trip. I always do a lot of searching and reading before booking a vacation so that I know what to expect from the chosen resort or hotel. I’ll make it easy for you: If you like the beach, this is probably not your resort. If you prefer a large pool area and THE AMAZING LAZY RIVER, this resort has a lot to offer. This may be your next destination. CHECK-IN: • Very fast and effective (with that in mind, I found that the front guest staff could be a little cheerful and have a warmer welcome if I compared it to another hotel). GUESS EXPERIENCE: • Awesome service, very attentive, and helped a lot with a few issues I had with booking restaurants. • They also assisted me with my fiancé's birthday that week with a cake from the pastry chef. • I felt that if I asked for something, they would do everything in their power to accommodate. OVERALL STAFF: • Excellent service everywhere. • Did not give more attention to people who tip or do not. (I gave 1$ a drink on average) • The restaurant staff was good and accommodating for different plate requests. • The bartenders were great, especially Ricardo & Domingo at the pool bar. (I’m the Bloody Caesar guy from last week ? ) and Joel and Juan at the sports bar. ROOMS: • Very large junior suite with a nice set-up of chairs on the balcony. • My view was very disappointing to me as I normally upgrade my view at the resort while checking. But the price was Ridiculous and no bargaining on the deal. Upgrade from Garden view to Pool view to Ocean. • Could use a refresh in the bathroom and shower area. (Don’t expect a 5* room here, yes, it has some corners with mold, but everything is functional) • As you will probably read from another review, the room is musty, which indicates moisture problems and poor air circulation. We asked for a dehumidifier that arrived the same night and fixed the problem for us (except that it leaked the last night). • The cleaning lady was prompt and effective but never changed our bed sheets for the 7-night stay. • Ask for more beer and water, and it was not a problem (6 bottles of water / 4 beers every day). *We tip the cleaning lady 5$ USD every day. We also tip the staff the replenish the fridge. RESTAURANTS: • The food was amazing if compared to other AI resorts at that price range. • All à la carte was all good, we preferred the Mexican, which needed no reservation. • A few issues at the Blue Lagoon (adult only) for my Fiancé b-day because they booked us there and have a 10-year-old with us. (but managed to accommodate us after a brief missed communication ) POOLS & LAZY RIVER: • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. BEACH • Windy and rocky. You don’t go to this place for the beach. PROS : Excellent food. Drinks & Cocktails were good ( I was not privileged, but 200 x 1$ USD gets you a long way. I was drinking Don Julio and Crown Royal by day 3.) Service above average Large rooms (fits a family perfectly) Lazy River CONS: BEACH. Stuff gets stolen around the resort. be careful and don’t leave anything behind. Communication among staff could be better. Don’t bother emailing the resort before, as you won’t get any more perks upon arrival (sorry, Carlos C) All-around entertainment could be better. Would I return? YES, it all depends on the price. We received an outstanding deal for this one compared to what others paid, and we would return without hesitation at the price we paid. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

Resort was amazing, we had a wonderful and already planning to go again.. The entertainment and activities were alot of fun, and food absolutely delicious. Rooms and grounds were always neat and tidy..highly recommend going to Ocean Coral Turquesa!!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Best Resort So Far

+ Large beach area with lots of beach chairs available + Great a-la-carte restaurants and food options, with an afternoon lunch and snack buffet near the beach (all day if Privilege) + Great coffee shop with espresso options, donuts and sweets + Wildlife (flamingo, cats, turtles, lizards, ducks and other tropical birds) adds life to the resort + Great events and night life (you can't get bored here, there is always something going on; there is also a nightclub open until 3am) + There are ba [... read more]rs everywhere you go, including cold lemon water stands near pools + Resort "buses" go around the resort every 5-10 min, if you can't or don't want to walk + Resort premises are generally clean + Rooms are spacious + WiFi is fairly fast if you are within range; I was able to stream without issues many times in my room - Room air conditioning struggled to keep the temperature set (building 4) - Buffet food areas were pretty hot (understandable since they are cooking there all the time) There really weren't any serious negatives about this resort, which is why I plan to return in the near future. The few issues, such as room cooling may be an issue on paper, but you would always feel refreshed by the cool dry air as soon as you walked into the room even when the thermostat showed 24 degrees.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Best vacation ever

This is our second time at ORP. And we will come back again for sure. Very happy with their services and the food is great. My daughter loves the kids club, we have been to other resorts and she always talks about the kids club here at the Ocean Riviera Paradise. This is her favourite kids club of all the resorts and she loves to spend time with the staff and the babysitters. The only down side of this place is the beach is a little bit rocky. But swimming shoes will help with that.

3rd vacation at this resort and will not be my last. Well kept, clean, great food, pool and beach. Staff are very friendly and professional. Would recommend the adults only for those travelling without children, it is worth the extra money.

Ocean Maya Royale: Just what we needed !

Air Transat missed our arrival and didn't have a shuttle for us when we arrived. The team at the airport sorted this out in a friendly way, reassured us and found a transfer but it started off with us wondering if the resort knew we were coming. This is an older resort that has been well maintained. We do recommend and would return. Grounds are clean, beach cleaned daily, pool and food(great buffet options) is all close walking distance. Then they closed it Monday, Wednesday and Friday "unexpectedly" . The worst part is we only found out Monday when we arrived to eat at buffet at 6:30pm hungry - then were told we needed to wait for an a la carte option seat, they were busy. We specifically asked why it was closed and they just said the buffet was closed "just today" and no reason given "just tonight". We ended up eating very late due to this, but willing to let it go as we thought maybe they were doing deep cleaning or an equipment failure. Then on Wednesday the same thing happened ! No notice and it is clear they planned this for some time due to low occupancy. They do not seem to have any compassion for the guests time / planning and being hungry! Furthermore, we have allergies and then limited to only one option for a la carte. We were seated at 8pm and waited a long time for food. Other guests were only seated at 9pm and had showed up at 7:30pm and probably ate at 10pm. Guests were not happy. Your servers and hostesses should be commended on how well they tried to manage things. They were put into a situation that was obviously out of their control from hotel management. Friday we planned accordingly as another guest told us it would happen again. Thankfully the guest had told us! We made sure to be at the a la carte at 5:30pm to get 6pm seating so we weren't left to eat so late like the other 2 nights. We then ordered double steak as we can only eat the small starter salad as appetizers and cant eat dessert , they gave it to us and still friendly but is embarrassing and makes you feel a pig or greedy for steak & veggies but the portions are so small, we needed food to fill us. Maybe they put something on the hotel online app and that's how other guests knew - but no one checks the app unless you are privilege. There is no need for the app as you can not reserve a la carte restaurants unless you are privilege. over 80% are regular guests staying. Please consider sushi without cream cheese - a nice shrimp , avocado etc. Lastly the locals are permitted to sell their "goods" up around the pool bar and seen daily getting beer and food and friendly with the pool towel staff. No other resorts allow this and at other places security keeps them out on the beach. Of course, this is a touchy thing to complain about as we do not want any trouble in Mexico as it seems they are more than welcome. They come at the same time daily so, maybe set them up with a vendor table or have them wear uniforms like the massage people. All that said the small resort with such friendly staff , great buffet and cafe - we would recommend and would return.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Okay

The hotel was beautiful, service could have been better. They tried to move us into a building we didn’t pay for because they overbooked and pretended they couldn’t see the building we booked when it says in the booking. Accommodation in email to have rooms together was ignored. Pools were not heated and water was cold

Overall we had a great experience at this resort. The only thing is that the beach sucked. Rocks and seaweed everywhere! Really hard to get into the water because of all the rocks, and dangerous too! Service could be better. Main buffet also could use a better layout and management. Ocean Blue and Sand: Fantastic Vacation Spot

It was a beautiful resort! 2 big pools, very clean and well kept, both with pool bars. Staff was friendly and helpful everywhere. Beach was beautiful, kept clean, no rocks in the water. Food was good. My best meal was at the Steak House. Food at the buffets were great. Staff at the main buffet were the friendliest! Jaro Jackson and Yany Ortiz were amazing, they were friendly, hilarious and made us feel special. Yani made us feel like part of her family. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: 3 star resort

The beach is very nice with white sand. You could walk in front of a lot of resorts. The grounds were kept very clean and they have several pools. The pool with the swim up bar had lots of activities and music most of the day. There is a relaxing pool which was nice and you could find a seat before 9am. There were no seats available after 9am so if you are going out for the morning you will not be able to sit by the pool for the afternoon. There were several items that were raw, such as eggs (even the omelet station which you don't notice until your at the table). The service tended to be slow with us not getting refills or dishes cleared for some meals. The room we got was not nice. The AC wouldn't go below 24 degrees. We did report it twice and both times were told it was working. It did feel cool when you walked in but it was 30 degrees outside. Sleeping at night was awful. The toilet has a glass door dividing it from the bathroom so There isn't much privacy. The staff were all friendly. Beware as soon as you are checked in they try to hand you off to timeshare people saying they will explain the resort.

We recently stayed at El Beso for a week at the beginning of April. My review will be quick and to the point: My opinions are similar to most others in regards to resort grounds, rooms, restaurants and beach. I only have two concerns really, one minor and one major Minor: no real beach / pool grill. There is a creperie which is rather underwhelming. I wish there was some sort of small lunch buffet / grill with quick grab items. Instead we ate at main buffet most of the week. There is a bur [... read more]ger place on family side but literally only burgers and hot dogs. Major: afternoon music. This was a completely horrendous experience. From 3pm to 6pm every day there was a party at the pool which made relaxing impossible. While in our room (building 15) we had to use ear plugs inside if you wanted to read. The choice of music was questionable as well - lots of vulgar language and most was completely inappropriate for the demographic. I would say at least 50% of the people around the pool were aged 60+. The resort details even stated “not for spring breakers” and yet every afternoon it was a huge party. If this type of thing is not for you then maybe try to get into building 12 or 17. 15 and 10 are the “party pool” apparently. This is the pool closest to the el beso lobby. So just be aware before booking. Sadly, as amazing as this resort truly is, we likely won’t be returning. We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation which for the most part was, except for the afternoons. Will probably try to find a quieter resort next trip. Other than that, if you’re ok with afternoon fun and not picky about the beach then definitely go to this resort, it delivers on all other levels.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Gorgeous Dominican beach! Amazing resort staff!

Robyn Plante helped us for a 2nd year in a row to get the best girls vacation spot! Ocean Blue & Sand was so beautiful! I have never seen a beach more perfect! The resort staff were also superb. We used Robyn’s recommended private transfer to/from the hotel as well and it was very much worth it. 100% would recommend this resort and most definitely Robyn Plante to help you book! She makes everything so easy and organized.

Room was very clean. Grounds are kept beautiful. Food was excellent, good selection at the buffet and easy to book a-la-cartes. Staff are very friendly. Lazy river is awesome, bring your own tubes. Beach lounges could use replacing. Lots of palapas.

The hotel was lovely. The staff was friendly and always willing to help if needed. The entertainment was great, never a dull moment. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
