Sun Palace Hotel: good resort, not amazing

Resort is ok not incredible as reviews suggest. Pools are small, swim up bar very small. Breakfast and lunch was good but diners aren't great. I expected a lot more "wow" factor. Beach is beautiful, and service on beach is amazing!!! So overall it's good not

Moon Palace Cancun: Amazing!

Service was a hit or miss. But everything else was perfect! Food was amazing at all restaurants. Morning coffee was much needed! Rooms were gorgeous. Too much to do with too little time! Definitely need to revisit.

Moon Palace Cancun: Incredible Resort

To be honest this will be short and sweet. Everything was incredible Food Service Activities Access to other resorts .The only negative water on the beach has a lot of seeweed did not swim in ocean at this resort at all.

Moon Palace Cancun: Beautiful resort for pool people

This was hands down the nicest resort we've been too. And if they ever get the beach fixed to be at least swimmable we might not go anywhere else. For pool people this resort is nothing less than spectacular. We really liked not having to line up and book the customary 3 a la carte restaurants. All the restaurants were available to us each night. Of course don't expect 3 Micheline star cuisine but if your smart about what to order you can eat wonderfully and I'm a foodie. My wife was also really impressed with the room service. The pools, bars, swim-up bars were all great. Our daughter had a great time in the big pools, the waterslide and the kids mini-waterpark pool. In fact we all did because thats the only problem with this resort. The beach is just terrible but more about that later. Another big benefit at this resort is they give you 1200$US in resort credits to use at the spa, some excursions, and selected items in the shops. My wife said the spa there was excellent and really enjoyed the service. We also took the entire family on an excursion to swim with dolphins which was amazing. They no longer have dolphins on site at the resort. the minor catch is you do have to pay the taxes. Definitely take advantage of this. Now that sad part. At the beach the sand is wonderful, soft and fine. There are lots of beach chairs and palupas mostly because nobody goes to the beach due to the seaweed. But the seaweed problem is massive. Each day we saw them carting away dump trucks of seaweed and working on the beach with big machinery. Literally dozens of dump trucks over the course of the day, and yet it didn't look like it made a difference. I should be clear, seaweed doesn't really bother me and I went into the water once. I didn't want to go back. I swam out a ways trying to get to a spot where there water colour looked to change hoping there would be a sand or rock bottom and it would clear. But the problem is more than just seaweed. The bottom actually feels like muck, seaweed and mud when you step anywhere more than 5 feet in. And the water is brown as a result and you can't see through it more than 12 inches. Its just not fun. For this reason alone we won't go back to the Moon Palace because we are beach people. I like to snorkel and the only way to do that here is to pay for excursions and snorkel somewhere else. One thing I should note is the beach at the Beach Palace Resort in Cancun is beautiful. Its not the best we've ever seen but its all sand bottom and blue waters and only a little bit of seaweed. Even my wife went in and loved it. There is a shuttle to take you there from Moon Palace or a taxi ride costs about 25$. You have full access to this resort as a guest at Moon Palace so if yoou are like us and need a beach day its not a bad option.

Moon Palace Cancun: Good Resort with excellent facilities

Resort is in good shape with excellent facilities, clean and staff are all very accommodating and friendly, except for minor smell of sea water because of seaweeds thus swimming is basically limited to pool area only.

Moon Palace Cancun: Best Vacation!

Very clean and spacious resort. Friendly staff. Huge pool. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Resort credit is a bonus but even if you decide to just rest in the resort they host their own shows/markets/live music so never gets boring. Enjoyed visiting Beach Palace/Sun Palace on their courtesy bus that goes to the hotel zone every day. RECOMMENDED!!

Beach Palace: Fantastic Hotel!!

A group of 12 adults just spent one week at Beach palace. This hotel is close to a big mall (walking distance) close to night life and is on a beautiful strech of beach!!! Very clean and all staff where genuinely kind and helpful. Food at buffet and two other restaurants (Asian and Italian) was excellent.

Moon Palace Cancun: Incredible food experience!!

This resort would be near perfect if it had a swimmable beach! Found it a tad too huge but tons of stuff to do and loved having free range of all of the palace resorts in the area! AMAZING RESTAURANTS!

Beach Palace: Truly Wonderful Holiday.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Service and Food excellent. Very clean, very modern. The organization ie. pick up times and shuttles like clockwork. Beaches and drinks beautiful and free flowing. Although little time was spent in the room, the television programming sucks. Spoken like a true Canadian during Playoffs.

Moon Palace Cancun: Amazing Resort!

Had a wonderful time! The food/restaurant variety was great! The hotel staff was beyond friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable! The beach was much better at their Beach Palace resort but they have a daily shuttle that can take guests there and back. Will definitely visit again!

Beach Palace: probably above average resort, too busy

The food was decent, but nothing that I wish I could eat again. Wouldn't get steak at the mexicansteak house if you actually really like steak. Rooms were clean, staff generally polite. Way more crowded than any nearby beach fronts.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: it is very quite family resort

Pros- amazing room quality, own zoo, Snorkeling & kayak on site, good food, feels like jungle. Cons- No night life, no food after 10 pm ( you can get room service on extra cost), everything closed at midnight, Lack of entertainment activities. nothing on walking distance.

Isla Mujeres Palace: Great Quite Vacation for Adults

My wife and I were desperate to get out of the cold and made a last minute decision to head south. The agent at Trip Central gave us several options that met our criteria and budget. Isla Mujeres Palace met and exceeded all our criteria. The service was fantastic. Staff was not just friendly like most resorts, but honestly really good at their jobs. The facilities were top notch, clean, well maintained and plenty of amenities that made the trip memorable. Things that would normally make me crin [... read more]ge about those huge resorts like walking 20 minutes to get to the gym, pool, beach, or one of a couple of dozen buffet lines or getting up at 6am to get a chair and some shade on the beach only to find out that a 1000 other people beat us to it, weren't an issue here. With only 60 rooms, the place is intimate without being small. There were no lines for anything. We could sleep in, have a casual morning with a light breakfast in bed with room service, work our way down to the restaurant for something more substantial after a short snooze and hit the beach or the pool at our leasure and always be guaranteed a lounge chair, umbrella or palm tree. And always within minutes have someone asking if we needed anything. The food was good. I've had better but comparing the rotating menu to the buffet slop I've had at other resorts in Cuba or DR, this was a real treat. We took advantage of the Chef's Table one night, which really was spectacular, as was the romantic dinner for two on the beach. We took advantage of the 1500 point resort credits and used them for diving, spa treatments and special dinners, all of which were well worth the taxes we paid for each. If there was one thing I had to pick that I was not crazy about, it would be the swimming area on the beach. The water is very shallow (nothing above the waist) and there is only a relatively small sandy area surrounded by seaweed patches and rocks. But if you are going in to cool off and splash about, it's more than adequate. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for anyone who doesn't want loud music, screaming kids or endless buffets. It's quiet but not staid, fun but not crazy, and relaxing without being boring. Close proximity to town and other attractions round out the benefits of this place. We'd go back!

Moon Palace Cancun: business yes vacation no

Good spot for business meetings, close to airport. But not so good for vacation. Beach is poor, entertainment is lacking, looks and feels like many big city hotels ... not like a vacation destination on the Riviera Maya in Mexico.

I found the resort to be very customer oriented. The rooms at the Moon Palace were very spacious and and loved the decor. The housekeeping staff were very helpful. Loved the spacious bathroom and of course the jacuzzi tub in the room. I want to say enjoyed the Taco snack Bar/Pool area as we had the best service with your staff, especially Sergio. We would have loved to be at the Main pool, however it seemed to fill very early in the morning and was not able to get any seating. One thing I would request would be to have a International evening buffet rather than A la Carte dinners. All in all we had a fabulous time.

Beach Palace: Unbelievable Resort

This resort was beautiful, great service, awesome staff, clear water and great beach highly recommended for others, This was our honeymoon had room 304 and ocean view, awesome sunsets and sunrises, an un forgettable experience

Moon Palace Cancun: Simply Amazing!!!!!

Resort was awesome! Staff was amazing and Helpful with everything. Clean rooms, food was great, Shows were Fantastic. There was always something to do from playing Mini Golf to riding bikes, paddle boats and to events in the pool with the Entertainment staff.

Sun Palace Hotel: wonderful resort

We were looking for an adults only get away that was not a big resort but rather more quaint. Sun palace delivered this and much more. The staff are the best we have ever experienced in Mexico and this was our 6th visit. We were truly impressed by the kindness and genuine hospitailty. Especially Elfaga in the lobby bar. Jesus in the buffet and Omar in the buffet.

Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta: Excellent resort

Great service staff was very friendly and efficient really felt they bent over backwards to provide a great vacation.Clean and well run food was awesome the only negative was there are no balconies on the standard rooms

the service you receive in all areas of the resort are top notch , everyone is pleasant and are there to make your stay the best. the grounds and surroundings and views are breathtaking. no problem in finding something that you would love to eat for any meals , I can go and on , this was the best vacation we ever had , my husband enjoyed the golf as I did the spa. we will go back for sure. debra and sid
