conveniently located, well kept grounds, friendly staff, good food selection, clean rooms , beautiful beach, relaxed and inviting atmosphere, good entertainment, has a true Caribbean flavour, would definitely return

Royalton CHIC Antigua: Nice beach, Shame about the resort

The good first. Great beach, nice staff, good food. The staff were nice, but I found I had to engage most of them, they weren't necessarily friendly to me until I started a conversation. The negatives: the resort is old and run down. The workers were nice but service was slow. For example one night I waited forever to get water while I watched four employees sitting eating at a nearby table, each with large bottles of water. That kind of thing got frustrating. Internet didn't work unless I went  [... read more]to the lobby. TV was limited to a couple English channels. Apparently they stopped lending out water equipment to guests, but it was advertised as part of the package. The water in our room was discolored which isn't the end of the world, but we barely had enough water pressure to keep the shower on- no matter what time of day or night. We found a large cockroach in our room, but at least there was only one...

Rex St Lucian: outstanding resort

This hotel was rated a 3 star but I give a 5. The service was excellent. The food had lots of tasty variety. The asian restaurant decor and service made you feel special and the food dishes made you want come again another night.The view while you eating from the buffet area was superb.The rooms were so clean actually I saw our cleaning lady even wipe down our door frame and wash our balcony floor. She also gave a lot of history about the island and things we would find i [... read more]nteresting to do.The beach is immaculate and beautiful.The pool area had lots of chairs with umbrellas. The entertainment at night was fun. It got people involved. We sure had a few laughs. The only complain we had was no hot water a few nights but one call and it was remedied.The location of the hotel is within walking distance to a little shopping mall which was perfect. Did we like this hotel? Absolutely. Since we have been back we have told everyone this hotel is the best bang for tour bucks.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Laid back in paradise

Nice relaxed resort - but if night life and ordering meals from a menu is important to you this resort will likely disappoint. Food quality is good, and you have to be creative yourself to mix up your menu since meals are buffets. There is one al a carte (Asian cuisine) but it was only so so. The resort is super close to the airport, but there is little air traffic noise - you'll be at the resort quickly on arrival! the staff were excellent, and the people of Grenada super friendly. Pool area is lovely with terrific sunsets - it's an elevated pool so lovely vistas from here. Food at the Aquarium restaurant/bar on the next beach was excellent too.

Rex St Lucian: Great Vacation

This is a 3 star hotel with 4 star staff and food. On the minus side, food was only available during meal times ( no snacks), on the plus side, the food was great. It was plentiful, well cooked and well seasoned. For lunch I usually just had the soup and sandwich (made fresh and grilled). While there were no organized activities that one may find at a larger resort, the beach was nice to walk on, Pigeon Island was close by, and the town was a 10min walk away. Rex St Lucian: Very good resort!

|The hotel was kept very clean. The washrooms within the hotel are nice and very clean. The one near the pool area needs a little sprucing up. The rooms are very clean, a good size with a big balconies but we did not have a dresser in the room, we mentioned it to the front desk and within the same day, they brought one to the room. The restaurant is beautiful by the seaside but I wish they had a snack bar throughout the day. The only issue I had was the distance from the airport to the hotel...it takes 1.5 hours to get there and the roads are very winding so if you are prone to motion sickness/car sickness you better come prepared!

Rex St Lucian: Rex St Lucia Resort

The first you need to know is the hotel is 90 minutes away from the airport. The drive can make you sick if you are subject to motion sickness,which I am. The staff at the Rex are the friendlies and most helpful. The accommodation are cleaned every day. There is only one main buffet restaurant on the complex with server great food. There is on a-la-cart restaurant which is called the Oriental you need to make a reservation. The beach is about 3 KM long and is good to walk, when the cruise ships  [... read more]come into the capital Castries the Cruise Liners bring the customers to this beach. You will know at 07:00 AM the day when they except the Cruise Liners because the beach is very active getting ready for the new arrivals (setting up beach chairs). The food is very good, if you have dietary needs the staff will take care of you needs. From the moment you arrive at the hotel till you leave you will find the staff very professional. They try to help every one but we all know some travelers are just not satisfied with anything, they always look for the negative. all over it was a good stay but the New year party was prepared just for local VIPs The guest were not allowed in certens areas The room was clean and the house keeper did a good job The Mandarin restaurant did't impress me to much

Rex St Lucian: overall impression

Quite satisfactory about food, front desk and general services. However, the bathtub drainage in our room was very slow, although the issue was brought to the attention of the hotel. No improvement was made. Another drawback was the seadoo and speed boats cruising around TOO close to the swimmer area. This is dangerous. That said the resort is ideal for older people who want a quiet environment plus carefree meal plan. I will return to the resort.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Ok entry level into Grenada

If you want to go to Grenada and cannot afford the higher priced resorts this is a good entry level into the Island of Grenada. Grenada is beautiful and the people are wonderful. This resort is no more than a three star. Do not go if you have any mobility issues as there are lots of stairs and the wheelchair accessible areas are not that friendly. The beach is nice...beautiful views from the pool area however it is not a great walking beach. It is very quiet on the beach so that is really nice.  [... read more]The water is amazing and you can snorkel right off the beach. If you go out further you can see bigger and more varied fish. The food is very hit and miss. You won't starve but you will be bored out of your skull with the lack of food choices. There is also not much for vegetarians. The whole place needs refurbishing and the beds are rock solid and the pillows really bad. If I got this hotel for a good price I would not hesitate to go as I know what I am getting. I took the bus into Grand Anse Beach and that beach is amazing. Only 5 EC into town and about 10 minute drive. You could walk.

Royalton CHIC Antigua: Great time at a great place!

We (6 adults) just got back for a great vacation at the Halcyon Cove Resort (Nov 8-15th). Yes, the place is abit dated and in need of some TLC. But what lacks in "Wow Factor" is made up by the incredible staff at the resort. They are amazing! Always doing everything they can to make sure you have everything you need. A big Thank You to Fenton, Heather, Roxanne and everyone else who made our stay one of the best ever!!! Food was great (nice variety), weather was perfect. we had ground floor rooms [... read more] (ours was 343). Very basic rooms (but you are only sleeping in them), the were clean and the beds were comfortable. Location of rooms was great, as we were central to pool and ocean (and the bar!). If you are looking for late night partying, this is not the place to go, everything shuts up around 11:30pm. All in all, a great resort, we can't wait to go back!

An older but well maintained facility in a beautiful setting with spacious gardens and a beach you can relax on. Rooms are large and comfortable with firm mattresses and lots of hot water. Staff are friendly, efficient, and always have time to chat and provide assistance. Although there was a limited selection food was very tasty and well prepared. Menu's changed daily. Entertainment was limited but good quality, and so nice to dance earlier instead of waiting for a midnight disco! It's also easy to catch the local bus or a taxi to town and you will find all Grenadian's are friendly and helpful. We will return to this hotel.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Awesome view

The pool bar was fun and view was amazing they should have snacks between meals . Clean hallways and get a vacuum for the carpets. Grounds r kept nice. More activities and put different snacks at tea.

Royalton CHIC Antigua: Beautiful and relaxing!

The beach with the beautiful cliff was an incredible view to wake up to every day. The colour of the ocean incredible! Hotel was clean, staff always friendly and helpful and food pretty good. Would come back here over and over!

Royalton CHIC Antigua: good value for money

lovely beach, same water as a posh 5-star next door. good variety in the food. room quality varies, apparently, but we got a gfreat one with water view. staff very helpful. we took no options and did not leave the resort but just lay on the beach all week

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: A Hidden Gem

The hotel complex is a little old but is clean and well cared for. The rooms are clean and quaint. The beach and the grounds were amazing. The food was excellent. All the staff were friendly, helpful and amazing. It was a very interesting and relaxing vacation and I would definitely return again.

Hotel with exterior was nice, specially hotel territory. It has nice little beach with nice view but there were traders constanly bothering you. Hotel was not overcrowded what was good. Finally it was worht of value because island is something different from other caribean islands :)

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: good value for money

We enjoyed our one-week vacation at the Rex Grenadian. The only drawback that we had was that the best tour of Grenada was from one of the people on the beach who was not allowed to bring his taxi onto the property. We went to the hill and saw the monkeys which he was able to entice from the forest. ALL OTHER TOUR guides just stood at their vehicles talking with other drivers while ours took the time, enticed the monkeys with bananas and got the monkeys to sit on the grandchildren etc. Took us t [... read more]o the fish where they aid from our hands with bread that our taxi driver provided. Rex needs to rethink who they use as tour operators for the local country.

Rex St Lucian: Very well located

Old hotel, normal food but what a great location. Perfect to take the local bus and visit all around. Nice local bars and restaurants nearby with a big grocery. Locals are not too much to bother with. When a cruise ship is in the port you might get alot of new friends on the beach.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: wonderful vacation

We had an oceanview room and it was fabulous. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. We found that while there was an a la carte restaurant the buffet was always good with a large variety of choices. Staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. The resort is just a short walk from Philipsburg and we walked there nearly every day.
