Sunscape Curacao Resort: Very nice Resort

The hotel is a bit dated, but it is so clean and well kept. Our room was huge and updated. The beds were comfortable. The staff at this hotel were amazing and very friendly and most of them spoke English and they were very welcoming. What I really liked about this hotel was that it was not crowded and everyone was made to feel really safe. We really liked the Italian restaurant and the Japanese restaurant. The buffet had a good selection of food, I would like to have seen a bit less of the [... read more] pasta dishes, even though enjoyable, was a lot. The beach and water was enjoyable, we never went to the pools. The staff and management at this resort were very well organized. We had a lovely stay. No complaints. Walk with water socks as you need to get pass the small rocks in the water, but once you are in it is lovely, a bit cool but refreshing.

The Sens Riviera: Sunscape Akumal

Beautiful grounds, close to the beach...needs some updates, friendly people. Smaller resort...good food at the ala carte restaurants, buffet had smaller selections....but that's all I needed... We all know of the sargassim hitting the caribbean sea...the workers kept up with removing it. Overall the 5 of the 7 days was very manageable... 2 days seemed higher....

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great trip

Great week at the Sunscape. Food was plentiful and lots of variety. Rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. Beach was awesome! Pools were nice and lots of loungers. Entertainment was good. Coffee cafe was excellent. The only con would be …..not enough umbrellas around the pools.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Amazing staff. Nice resort.

The hotel was small, with only 1 pool and 2 restaurants. It is sandwiched between 2 other newer 'sister' resorts that we could not use. The rooms were small, beds were comfy. The staff were outstanding and made this resort what it was. We enjoyed our stay. Food was mostly good, as were the drinks, coffee and ice cream.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Very Indifferent

The resort itself is 'dated'. While it is not run down it is very plain. However, it is kept clean and hospitable. The rooms are adequate, yet dated. The 'special room' associated with the special rate over looked the garden with a balcony that wasn't wide enough to use, other than hang clothes to dry. The entrance backed out to the service/staff entrance. Though the view was lacking we did not experience any noise issues. The room staff was fine. The beaches were clean and pretty. They are b [... read more]ehind break walls of stone that help create a calm and more welcoming area. There are plenty of lounges and enough room for everyone. The pools were pretty, clean and could accommodate large numbers. There were some activities for all ages and the activities/entertainment staff were fairly good, as was the featured entertainment each evening. The bars were second rate but sufficed if a beer or some fruity cocktail was all you wanted. There was a coffee bar where we got a cappuccino and espresso on a regular basis. Perhaps, if you were lucky there was some cake to have with it, but most of time it lacked anything edible to have with the coffee. The restaurants were adequate, especially in light of what the buffet had to offer, though they did not even approach anything resembling 'fine dining'. These were not always available and lunch venues were limited. That leaves the buffet. One reason that were have stopped visiting Cuba was because of the quality of the food. We had hoped that Curacao would provide a decent alternative. We were wrong. I almost pined for the days of Cuban 3/4 star resort food. The small birds that could easily fly through the window netting surely enjoyed the facilities, including the food. It took a few days to navigate the buffet and figure out what was 'best' to eat...when there was no alternative. The staff, on a one-to-one basis were very pleasant but in general the whole atmosphere just seemed 'indifferent'. All that being said, our goal was to relax in a clean environment (no seaweed!), nice weather and piece and quiet. Sunscape allowed us to meet those goals but certainly did not meet or exceed the expectations that we have grown to expect from other Caribbean resort experiences.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Best resort ever!!

We loved this hotel, we have been to many all inclusives and this was the only time the front desk ever called us twice to see how everything was and if we needed anything. It was friendly and very clean and the food was good. What we liked also was that one pool was for the party people and the other was for relaxing. We also loved the coffee and dessert room that we visited every day! Martha was also very special and kind to us, wonderful customer service well beyond expectations. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great resort

This resort is older Caribbean style but freshend up and very clean . Rooms were a nice size and bathrooms were updated and clean . The pools were decent had a nice pool bar with friendly staff everywhere lots of loungers und umbrellas. Food at all the restaurants was good and large selection . Entertainment was fun and decent at night shows . Also this beach might not be the white sands of Punta Cana but clean soft sand and can walk for miles each way safely was enjoyed by many each day great swiming.

The resort had a great beach . Pools were adequate . The staff at this resort were always pleasant and helpful. I was very impressed with the service. The only major issue was the alacart restaurants. It was very difficult to get in and there was very little choice . Only 2 open every night. The buffet was good and well run but needed to change up a bit to keep it interesting. The beach restaurant was not open and this was a major disappointment . Sunscape Curacao Resort: An amazing beach resort!

We really enjoyed the beach. The snorkeling is amazing around the rocks both on the resort side and on the ocean side. The rocks keep the swimming water calm close to the beach. All of the food at the resort was great. Enjoyed every meal and snack! It is easy to rent a car or take the bus to the various sights around the island.

Nice resort although if you’re on the tower side there’s three nights out of the week that is very noisy from the resorts down the beach so I recommend to go on the other side the water is pretty the foods OK the service is OK the drinks are OK they have a little equarium baby sharks Flamingoes lots of cool fish I went swimming with the Dolphins we went in town felt very safe 4 Wheeler trail ride can also rent a car go around the island beautiful beaches

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Would Recommend

Perfect resort for a friendly getaway in the sun. The location was a 30 minute bus ride from the airport. Resort staff exceeded our expectations and were warm and welcoming! We left with full stomachs, happy hearts and new friends. Highly recommend the ocean fishing available and the golf course next to the resort. Overall, we had low expectations and this resort exceeded all of them for the cost associated.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Weather and Beachfront

We found the resort very clean. The rooms were restocked daily. The staff were amazing! The a la carte dining was served like a 5 star resort. Gorgeous presentation. The buffet did not have much variety though.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: great resort

the resort was great wish there were resturants to choose from since they only had 2 , the pool was good could have been bigger but was very quite during the day witch is nice and the staff was amazing.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Resort

Having SunClub made all the difference. Personal check in with no line ups was so appreciated. We were not happy with our first room and they very quickly found us another one with pool view. Buffets had good variety and every week has the same rotation of theme nights Restaurants have a good variety of choices for everyone

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Would not recommend

Unfortunately our stay was not good. On the second day I hurt my back and could not walk, my husband was told he could not bring me any food that we had to order room service ( they did waive the fee); when I called I was told she had to call the kitchen and she would call me back. After 3 1/2 hours I had not heard back. I called and asked about a wheel chair and was informed it was $125/day. When I explained I only needed it to go get food they allowed us to get one. The room was not properly  [... read more]cleaned; the sheets were changed once (the day before we left, we were there for 14 days) The food was sub standard; the hotel cleanliness was sub standard; in the morning after the pool was supposedly cleaned we pulled out a large cock roach, the scum around the edge of the pool was very gross, it really needed to be scrubbed. The service was horrible, but I must say the 2 hostesses and only 1 waiter were amazing. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Staff are lovely but resort is lacking post covid

Lovely beach area, a great pool (closes at 6pm, unfortunately), and a large buffet. Some restaurants are limited (only 2 open per evening). We booked this resort because they boasted gluten-free and vegetarian options but were disappointed that nothing at the buffet was labeled for food allergies or ingredients, and the menus at the a la carte's were incorrectly labeled. There was limited evening entertainment, but we enjoyed what we saw. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the p [... read more]roximity to the mall was great for souvenier shopping. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Welcomed vacation

Would not visit again. Better suited for families. Resort was lacking friendliness , staff seemed annoyed to be there. Beach beautiful lots of chair, huts, hammocks . Restaurants not always open long waits for cold food twice.

The Sens Riviera: Will return!!

We travelled with another couple and we all loved the food, drinks, facility, staff and want to return, the only thing we didn’t like was the time it took to get there on the bus but it was worth it!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Nice resort

This hotel is not suitable for someone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs. You can only access the outdoor pool and the a la carte restaurants by going up 15-20 stairs. The grounds are very well maintained. The beach is beautiful but the loungers need replacing. Food is excellent - lots of choices. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but dated. Wifi available for free only in the lobby and is very slow and unreliable. Hand sanitizer was widely available [... read more] and tables well spaced out.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: FAIR

Was not impressed with the LeCart restaurants, long wait and the food nothing outstanding. Entertainment not so good. Broken beach chairs should be removed. WIFI was horrible! pools were good and clean. Staff were always polite. Overall it was OK but was expecting better!
