RIU - Paradise Island
Been back to this resort several times and have enjoyed every time. Staff is amazing and friendly. They take excellent care of the rooms, the common areas, the pool and beach. We Had a great time. Understanding renovations are coming up on this resort... looking forward to seeing them in the fall....
Just an amazing place!
The food was amazing...lots of choice at the buffet. Specialty restaurants were great. Hotel was very clean. Mattresses need to be replaced. Lie sleeping in a hammock. The linens were good. Liquor dispenser in room is convenient. Pool is warm. The local musical entertainment was great. Would go back.
Fabulous Resort
The Riu Paradise Island is the only all inclusive resort in the Bahamas for my sister and I. For the 5th time, the Riu was awesome from the warm welcome, fast and lovely room assignments, the comfort and cleanliness was only exceeded by the variety of tasty food at all times. Going again in April with more family. Thank you Riu for everything. Darlene Ward
Highly recommended
Hotel was clean overall with friendly stuff all around. Had an issue wth the water but got fixed within the hour. Beach was top notch sand and water. Food was good and every drink I got was amazing. Enjoyable experience overall
Decent Place
The staff was great very friendly all the time. They interacted with the tourists and made you feel at home. The rooms were pretty decent. If you stayed on the backside of the Hotel you couldn't leave your balcony door open as your room would begin to smell foul from the septic tanks The wifi service was horrible, only had access in the front Lobby and not in the rooms. If you are a pool lover the sun only hit the pool area roughly around 1pm and until about 4:30 as the sun would be blocked [... read more]
Training Training Training
We stayed at the Riu Palace from Feb. 19 to Feb 26. This is an older resort and we were told that they will be closed from June until September of this year for renovations. It does need some work in the rooms and the pool has to be re tiled. The front lobby was nice and the staff at the desk were very informative. The cleaning staff on our floor were very friendly and said good morning when we saw them, they would also ask us how our day went and when leaving, told us to have a safe flight home [... read more]
Needs some updates but still a great time!
This hotel is in need of a bit of TLC but we still had a blast. Ocean views out of every room, excellent air conditioning, AMAZING food, great service. Believe me, you'll love it. Great price for a decent hotel. I believe there are construction plans for this yeah, can't wait to see what they do! 10/10 would visit again!
Nice resort on a gorgeous island
We thought the hotel was beautiful. I suppose you could call some of the décor "dated", but certainly not in need of repair. The room was very nice with a breathtaking view of the island and ocean. If you can get on one of the higher floors, you simply cannot beat the view. The food was great every night. We tried the steak house one night, but I really dislike their policy of not taking reservations and requiring people to stand in line for over a half an hour if you want to eat in an a l [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island
Food - very good Grounds- clean and safe Hotel- a little outdate, could use some repairs, ie: painting- balconies, outside handrails and plaster repairs on walls Specialty Restaurants- service 5 out of 10 Pool- very good Beach Area- very good Entertainment- lacking in the evening time, after the pool closed at 6pm Staff- friendly and helpful Would return to this resort in the future, but overall we had a great time and experience
Dated hotel, needs a face lift!
It was a second visit to RIU on Paradise Island On the first visit 3 years ago we had a good time, so we booked for a second time... and we where unpleasantly surprised how things changed Hotel looks dated and Needs to be renovated, food was also not so grate On the arrival they used to serve full dinner ... not this time... we where gritted with cold hotdogs and cold burgers and some lettuce ( they did not have enough vegetables for all grup that came that day...) People in the hotel ar [... read more]
Location is fantastic
The hotel is very old but you can't complain because it's a good price. Who wants to spend time in their room anyway when the beach is so amazing. The food is great. The fridge broke and the coffee maker didn't work which was mildly annoying but once you get to the beach it doesn't matter. I can't wait to visit again
Good value for the $
Grounds were nice, food at buffet below pár but beach is beautiful and staff are very nice and helpful. Hotel itself is a bit outdated bút clean and offers all amenities. Next door to altlantis. Short cab ride to downtown Nassau. Jet ski is 5* Enjoy
Lovely resort and staff
Beautiful hotel, the staff was very friendly, very hospitable. Good variety of food everyday, very clean! The only issue would be the beds. We were three adults sharing what seemed like two twin beds pushed together...the hotel would do well to bring in proper, full double beds. Other than that we had a wonderful time!
Enjoyed my vacation
This is a place that one can really enjoy their vacation. However it has its good, bad, and ugly sides: Good: Beautiful views of the pool and beach from our room. Excellent variety of foods; friendly and attentive staff; plenty to drink; less than 5 mins walk into Atlantis and its entertainments; plenty of things to do off the hotel grounds, easy ride into downtown for shopping or sight seeing and local food in the fish fry area. We made some excellent friends (local and visitors). The beach [... read more]
Nice hotel
Exellent food near by atlantis hotels room service was excellent ocean views was great majority of staff were great except one of them was amazzing u will meet her when u go there such a awsome best smile lots of fun
Not so good
It's definitely a 3 star not 4 star resort. It needs to be updated. And resort stuff could be friendlier. Air conditioning leaked, not enough variety of food selection, not enough tables at buffet, huge lineups to get to a restaurant. Beach terrible to cramped and public. Wouldn't go again to that hotel even though we have been at RIU resorts before in other countries. We went because of Atlantis but next time once Beach Resort goes all inclusive that's where we would stay.
Best trip of life
Food was insanely amazing. Employees were so friendly and happy. Resort was just beautiful. Just amazing. Wow. My first world problem would be the room. The bed isn't the most comfiest. But that's really all.
Wonderful and relaxing
While the decor was slightly outdated, we had a wonderful time at the Riu Palace. The staff were all amazing and kind, everyone (and I mean everyone) made sure we were happy and comfortable for our entire stay. The beach and access were beautiful and felt safe to walk on and enjoy the view. The food at the resort was delicious. We ate at the Krystal and the Gourmet restaurants as well as the Buffet. The entertainment was fun and engaging, while it was also a little repetitive. The bed was comfor [... read more]
Bahama-mama
Overall we would give this resort 3 out of 5 stars. I was surprised and a little disappointed to see that the Riu did not live up to the reputation of a resort in the "Bahamas". While it was an enjoyable trip there were a few things that could have been much better. Having paid for an all-inclusive get away I was irritated to find out at check in that the a la carte meals were first-come first-serve and we were unable to make reservations. After spending the day by the pool or on the beach i [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island
The stay at the Riu Paradise Island was good. The hotel rooms and the whole place including the pool need updating/renovating. The place was clean, did not see any type of a bug or any issues. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was great lot's of variety.. but it is not a 5 star old and out dated.. The beaches are great a little rough for my liking but beautiful.. The hotel should have a shuttle to the Atlantis as it is a 20 minute walk and if you do not want to walk it is a 20 [... read more]
