Fabulous Resort!!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach (adults Only) was a beautiful resort with stunning views. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The resort itself was very clean, new, and beautiful. The food was great and the restaurants were diverse. If you are not one to lay in the sun all day long, the activities available were great (yoga on the beach, volleyball, aerobics, games) and the staff that ran these activities were so friendly and fun. It was nice to be in the adults only section because it  [... read more]was quieter, more private and we had our own entertainment at night (circus show, magic shows, dancing shows, etc). We found the only cons being the WIFI ($, poor service) and smoking (allowed in many areas). Otherwise, it was such a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend it and I would return!

Beautiful Resort

Very beautiful resort (and huge) with a just as beautiful beach. My one disappointment was that my Prestige Superior Ocean Front View room had a courtyard full of palm trees between it and the ocean..

Exceptional resort!!!!!!

one of the nicest places we've stayed and adults only! Rooms, food, beach and all amenities were wonderful. great staff. many options for meals, beach, pool and shows being able to utilize the palace resort but they can't use Bavaro Beach! Nice surprise when celebrated my birthday by the resort.....!! Will be back again one day for sure!

Superb resort

rooms were well taken care off. Groom excellent. Overall excellent. would go again tomorrow. Staff superb. I would suggest a softer material for your wrist bracelet. They have a tendency to scratch when you take a shower or scratch you loved ones.

Barcelo Barcelo Beach

Stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach the Middle two weeks of April 2014. The resort itself is fairly nice however the food at the Buffet was not that great. Everything seemed as if it was warmed up and dried out. By the second week we could hardly wait to get home to good food Now the restaurants at night where you could make reservations were actually pretty good We loved the Mexican Restaurant the best. The one restaurant at the Beach side you make reservations for will cost you $ to eat there. The resort was clean and well maintained. Not much for shows in the evening or any kind of entertainment Bar service around the pool not so great and no service on the Beach Don't get sucked into the $3000 coupon book that is advertised for you when you book as most of it is not usable or you have to pay a lot before the credit is applied. Over all the weather was great. The beach is nice not to much trouble getting chairs. I do not plan to return to this resort any time soon

Very nice resort

adults only section was very nice room was great, service was very good , casino was fun. the golf was great for my husband and son in law . the weather was sunny every day and will probably return to this resort. feel specia

Beautiful beach

great service whether you tipped or not, gorgeous beach, entertainment was not the best, food at specialized restaurants was good except for Mexican restaurant which was inedible, every drink you could want including champagne at breakfast buffet and they even had clamato juice for casears

Relaxing Holiday

Beautiful grounds, food is delicious, great selection of good eats. Great place to stay for couples looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation but at the same time want to be able to enjoy the fun activities the resort has to offer or could walk 10 minutes (at the most) to take advantage of the activities at the Bavaro Palace.

This place is fantastic they look after you, respond to your requests, its safe and beautiful - you will absolutely love it that's why me and my girlfriend have been 5 years in a row!!! Not much else to say just go you will have the time of your life.

Beautiful Resort......but staff were unfriendly

We stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort in March. Beautiful resort with amazing beach, resort was very clean and food was ok. Unfortunately the staff were extremely unfriendly and not welcoming at all. This was our first time going to the Dominican and will not be returing as we herad many comments of the staff being rude and unhelpful. Having been to Mexico, St.Lucia and Jamacia, and not having any problems with staff - all were very out going and wanted to make our stay wonderful. We had  [... read more]to wait for 10-15 mins to get drinks unless you flashed cash then the staff would come right away and serve you. We paid for an all inclusive trip, if the staff goes above and beyond then by all means they will get tipped but walking up to the bar and ordering a beer does not mean that they deserve a tip. Tips are based on service and the service at this resort was very disappointing. We will not be going back to this resort nor would i recommend it to anyone.

Best Adult Spot in Punta Cana

Barcelo Bavaro Beach is a small resort on a world-class beach. It's the perfect romantic or lazy day getaway with plenty of privacy, but right next door you can gamble all night or dance til dawn. You have a choice of either of the two theaters for nighttime shows and more food choices than you can possibly cram into a one week stay. The food is varied and tasty and the service is good. Our room was well cared for, our mini bar always stocked and lots of towels provided. Can't decide whether to kick back and relax or go for the gusto in Punta Cana? For the adult traveler Barcelo Bavaro Beach offers the very best of both vacation worlds.

Beautiful!

It's right on the beach and the atmosphere is refreshing. Everyone is nice and pleasant, but they hardly anyone speaks English. The food is good, a lot of options between the restaurants. Great stay overall!
