Our Happy Place!

This was our second time, at this resort, in the past six months. The resort itself is very dated, however it's the people you go back to see. The workers, whether in the buffet, bar, maids, entertainment staff, are just fabulous. They are what make our vacation. We are looking forward to going back again next year!

Good resort

the staff was amazing...hotel very clean and nice...lobby chairs could be updated very dirty, beds comfortable, awesome shower, same food everyday but good, beach very nice but did have seaweed, maybe because of the hurricane

Wonderful hotel experience

My husband and I spent 7 days in Iberostar Daiquiri resort, this is one of the best experiences in our vacation time. Room is always very clean, and cleaning staff did perfect job, we are happy with our room service. it's a surprise to us that food in buffet are delicious, there are very good chefs cooking there, no need to worry that " food got no taste ". We are very much enjoy the music show in lobby in the evening time. it's so high level performance, beautiful music. what we enjoy the [... read more] most is the White sand beach, we spent a lot times there in each day, clean water, good weather and lots fun there. we like the beach, we like the hotel and we will come back together with our friends and families.

Mouldy Rooms

I was hoping to be able to relax on the beach or in my room with a book by myself. Turns out I had to change rooms four times and there were still issues. Seems like if you're not with a male that can stand up for you you get targeted by whatever game they happen to be running at that hotel at the time whether or not you're a participant. I will not ever be returning and will not recommend this to anyone. Nothing has changed for the better.

Wonderful Resort

The service was great, food was not the best, but we had variety of choices, people were amazing and for sure, the beach - heaven :-) The only problem was the internet, when I bought the package, it was not specify that we have to buy internet card. It was not a big deal for me, at least, this keep the kids on outdoor activities. But it will be good to know before.

My Oasis ❤️ 20+ Repeat Guest

This is a smaller resort; which I love. Daily activities around the pool and beach throughout the day. Great athmoshphere and entertainment at the lobby during evenings. A show every night to watch. Beach parties, Nightime dancing after the shows, Disco visit twice a week; excellent!!! Despite the recovery ongoing for this area since the hurricane last year, plantation is being restored; most facilities are open with the exception of the grill restaurant...a work in progress. I found this place and have named it my second home. I would definitely recommend. P.S Please remember to bring sunscreen, bug repellent, basic medical travel kit for emergencies; these are not commonly found in Cuba. A family friendly resort

The overall impression of the hotel was good!The food was excellent as well as the friendly. staff members. However something that could be improved is changing the cushions in main lobby as well the decorative pillows and cover sheets in the rooms and the pool was bit small .

Sub par for a four star

Hotel design unique ocean view from all rooms was a big selling feature to us that didn't disappoint, now I have been to cuba 12 times in the last 5 years so I have a fair idea what level service to expect, biggest problem was buffet and ala cartes food in buffet was not bad presentation good until you got to cleanliness, plates were disgusting dirty all of them!, manager says broken dishwasher well sorry clean them by hand no excuse, tables never cleaned after use a quick wipe with a napkin o [... read more]r back of their hand it makes you wonder how clean pots and pans in kitchen were oh and no a/c in buffet according to one in the know said it was like that for a year Ala cartes for the Italian and Cuban were disgusting at best, they were in the pool snack bar bird crap everywhere chairs rarely cleaned off tables were cleaned with a small rag bird crap wiped off one table right to the next one never seen sign of soap or water it was unbelievable enough about food now I usually overlook a lot off crap but not this time no hot water for two weeks in our room couldn't open balcony door hit and miss on clean sheets and towels not a biggy but worth mentioning, drinks were watered down noticeably el mojito lounge bar no mojitos lol beach was amazing but the water in front of resort was full off sea grass after being to cayo coco the beautiful green blue of the ocean was sadly missed this water was black and most people did not like to walk in it will not return.

Great, small resort

Small resort. 40 min bus ride from airport. Travelled with a 1 and 4yo. Had crib, and pullout couch made up in ground floor, quiet room, as requested. Grounds are clean and well groomed. Buffet was fantastic. This is my fourth time in Cuba and by far the food here was the best. Fresh fish and prawns every day. The fresh fruit was delicious. Mangoes were very tasty. Entertainment was good, we enjoyed the music at the lobby bar. Tip well! Cubans still only make 20CUC a month. Your tips will be very appreciated.

Great Resort

I liked: - that it was not too big. Medium sized. - had a beautiful ocean view room. - the service was great....all the personnel were nice. - some people I heard had sand bugs in their beds...or bugs from trees. so that was not great...one changed rooms twice. so they can change it if you want. - I had a great room. I swam close to the beach. there it was fine. it gets darker with algae if you want to go in. - nice lobby. - disco not great! - cave party outing was not Cuban music. It was disappointing! - food was great compared to cuba! I had mangoes, papayas every day and fresh fish. the buffet was really nice. lots of choices.

Iberostar Daiquiri - run down resort

We are staying in this hotel about 10 years ago and it was very good, but now it's not the case... Resort is completely run out place: All the furniture in the lobby is dirty, ripped, "eaten" by fungus. The smell around bar is not not bearable, the glaces are dirty, as well as the counter. The dishes in the buffet are dirty, with pieces of food. We were forced to leave to another resort closed by "Memories Flamenco".

Good but not Great!

This is my 5th trip to Cuba but first time to Cayo Coco. We booked 3 rooms; 2 ocean view and 1 super saver. The reception managed to get us all in the same room block. My room on the second floor was ocean view but was very disappointing. The room smelled of mold. The bedspread had black mold on it as did the wood around the doorframe and the wall was bubbled. The room next to us was much cleaner but the fridge didn't work and their was no hot water in the shower. Complaints made to Gues [... read more]t Services fell on deaf ears as they did not come to look at either issue. I found outside the building that dishes were left for days before they were cleaned up. The gardens, pool area and beach was great and well kept. We ate at the buffet restaurant most days as the food was good. We ate at the Mexican a la carte and were disappointed at the food, service and display. We didn't book at the other a la carte restaurants as we heard similar reviews. I love to go to Cuba as I love the Cuban people. Most of the staff here I found to be friendly and nice with the exception of the lobby bar staff who were miserable and the drinks that they made were a reflection of this. Overall, I would not return to this hotel and although rated 4 stars, I would rate it a 3 at best.

Not a 4 Star Resort

The buffet was the same thing day in day out, fish, chicken and pork. The only seasoning consisted of a bit of salt and maybe pepper. They should try using a few herbs to go with the salt. Dishes in the buffet were never identified so you didn't know what it was. There was no bacon at breakfast ever but they had roast pork on a regular basis. The beach was sandy but there were too many weeds and you couldn't go in very far. Ok Resort

My 12th time to Cuba. I was expecting a little more being an Iberostar resort. Maybe because of the last hurricane it would have been better. People in Cuba are the friendliest and here they were except the younger girl at the front desk. It took forever to get into our room the from lobby chairs were digusting you would not even want to sit on them. lots of rain and leaks in the back of lobby. Loose tiles or missing on the stairs. The pool was clean and nice to sit at.

Amazing vacation

The hotel was really nice. Looked and felt as if you were in cuba. Beautiful beach and pools and amazing people and service. Everyone was so welcoming and the entertainment was awsome. Great food lots of activities. So much fun.

Great Resort.

Beach is very good, rooms are big, clean and renovated. Food is amazing, night shows are excellent. Very friendly staff. Lobby needs attention as all sitting couches are worn out and uncomfortable to sit, also not enough tables and chairs in the lobby bar. Need more public washrooms.

Had a wonderful time!

Daiquiri is a great resort, the entertainment staff including the dancers are all wonderful people and very welcoming. at the hotel i had to wait a few hours for towels as there was an issue with laundry. The power also went out for a day which caused some blips in my plans. all in all, I had a wonderful vacation. This was my second time at iberostar daiquiri and it was better than the first. can't wait to plan my next adventure. my big complaint was flying with cubana, as our flight was de [... read more]layed an no one was notified and the response was not great from trip central or cubana air. not sure if i'd fly again with them.

Amazing Trip

We recently travelled to the Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Coco. We had the most amazing trip! The resort is aging, however you tend not to focus on that when the people/staff more than make up for it. We absolutely loved the staff most especially our servers Jorge and Roxana. We always found more than enough to eat. The beach is the best we have ever been on. Not a sole bothered you when you stepped foot on it. The water was gorgeous. We cannot say enough. There was always something going  [... read more]on, either an activity, a band/musician of some sort or music in the lobby. Our room was fine. We found we had quite a bit of storage area to put our clothes. The only things I would like to see changed are (1) in the public washrooms the toilet paper bins need to be emptied more frequently because it got very smelly and (2) the hotel should put a restriction on how long you can save your pool/beach chair. We noticed some people put their stuff on their chairs bright and early and did not show up until 2-3 pm. There are not enough chairs for everyone as it is, and this does not help. Otherwise, we are looking forward to going back again next year.

Outstanding Staff

This was my first time at the Iberostar Daiquiri.and I was very impressed.There was always lots of staff around and they are all about service. The gardens are beautiful. This hotel was very clean and compact so you are never far from anything.The pool area is very nice. There were a lot of choices at the buffet The beach is gorgeous. I loved having a coffee maker in the room and knew to bring my own coffee and filters.Anyone that wants tea should bring their own.The beach gets deep very quick [... read more]ly which is not the best for children. .
