Nice place

It was a great hotel great food and very nice staff anything u wanted u got r room was freshly painted very clean but the last couple of days we noticed mold growling on the cealing and walls and on the in side of the kertins and we noticed it on are luggage and our winter coat that we're in the closet but other than that it was great thx tim

It was ok

The hotel was decent, the staff was friendly and accommodating, my dad and brothers room had mold in it, we didn't notice right away but as the week went on it became more noticeable, i am sure they would have changed their room if we had of brought it to their attention. I paid for an Ocean view but never got one, did't get the king size bed I requested either. They needed more night life other than the disco that was full of locals.

Amazing Resort

My family and I have just returned from a week at Be Live. The resort was amazing, just the perfect size, seconds from everything you could need. I have traveled to many resorts and this by far was one of the best, we would definitely stay here again in the future

“Just Right”

This resort was just the right pick for my friends and I.The resort is laid out perfect not too big everything a short walk away.The grounds were beautiful well kept and clean.The pools were huge and clean very pretty all lite up at nite.We didn’t spend much time at the pool as we are beach people.The Beach was very nice not the crystal clear water and white sand of Cuba but very nice no rocks or coral to be seen and you can walk a very long distance.The rooms were large and very clean maid se [... read more]rvice excellent never a problem with towels or hot water.The food was average buffet offerings but lots to chose from .The restraunts were very good but the air conditioning at the Mediterranean is very cold wear a sweater.The staff were professional but not overly friendly but were very busy.I would recommend this resort and would probably stay again .

Loved this resort!

Everything was great, very much enjoyed our first all inclusive. The place was great, Room was clean. People were wonderful , Weather was perfect. We went snorkeling for my first time and loved it. Would love to go back!!

Amazing Resort....

My three sisters and myself just returned home from a week vacation at this resort and Absolutly LOVED it.... We have been to other resort and this one is by far the best one we like so far.... Food was totally awesome... Rooms were extremely clean and very nice décor.. We had an amazing view of the Ocean and beautiful sunny hot weather. The entertainment was great.. We all Loved this Resort and will return...

Good value and would go back

Grounds were well kept, rooms a lil dated but clean.As the week went on you dont really notice the room anyways as long as the beds are comfortable and you have clean towels. Only ate at the buffet which was good, just over the weekend at the omelette station they seem to be short on onions,green peppers,cheese to add. On our last day they only had one bartender at pool and snackbar bars which created line ups. Only negative thing were theses vacation club people in tan outfits and white hats hanging around outside buffet area.Dont make eye contact and brush them off or they will waste your time wanting to go see another resort at Corfresi other side of Puerto Plata for the day.Towards end of the day some beach areas seemed a lil dirty partly from lazy guests and sometimes just washed up. Overall would go back again for the price .

A Relaxing Trip

Even though we got there a day after a huge storm, the staff and workers got the resort cleaned up so fast. The poolside was amazing and the rooms had comfy beds. The food was good, I recommend going to the Mexican and Brazilian restaurant there. I would stay away from the nightclub above the casino please it slightly off the resort and you have to pay for drinks there. Other than that it was a great stay!

Older resort

This hotel would need a lot of renos, bathroom ceiling leak from the third floor into our bathtub, beds very hard and had to request pillows. Booked an adult only and had a young group of students on our floor who were very loud with music blasting,running and yelling in hallways. They should be aware of age and maybe keep a wing for party goers. Food was ok and VIP service - idea was there but the service was lacking!! I would not classify this as a five star. Not for the money we had to p [... read more]ay. Also had booked a day trip to the city but had to canc as my husband got sick in DR. Nothing was mentioned about a refund of approx $116.00 purchased on SUNWING flight down there.

Not a 5 or 4 star

ThE grounds at this resort aren't kept clean. There isn't any service at the pool, beach or lobby/bar. So all the dirty glasses are everywhere. We also saw them just rinse with tap water only all the glasses and put them back on the counter or on the hanging rack at the dance bar. Disgusting! ! The rooms smelled musty. Bath tub had long hair all over in it on our arrival. There is no ground maintenance. Lots of activities at the pool. Beach wasnt nice. Food was good at the buffet. Okay Resort

The resort itself was clean. The pool and pool area was clean. The two young lads named mini mee and spaghetti pool side were the best. Over the top very nice kids. Always keeping us engaged in games. The food was the same every night. The Mexican night was the best. I would be hard pressed to give this resort a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ But if you do go you need to look up mini mee.

Lots of good things about this resort

Be Live Puerta Plata is a decent resort. The rooms were clean and not outdated, the food was very good, the staff were patient, helpful and very nice, the beach in front of the hotel was clean and free of garbage, the VIP Adults only building and private area were appreciated as our children are all grown now. There was 15 hours of free wifi for the week and there was plenty of security around to make sure no non registered guests came onto the grounds to take advantage of the food and drinks. [... read more] The evening shows were mediocre but the resort was not full so the shows were sparsely attended. We felt a little bad for the preformers who struggled to find audience members to participate. Puerta Plata is not known for its beaches. The sand is not as soft, white and clean as in Punta Cana. It was disturbing to walk the length of the beach because all the parts of the beach that were not part of a resort property were filled with plastic cups, bags, straws, flip flops, cigarette butts, cans and glass bottles which wash up every morning. It was quite an eye opener. No one cleans up the debris so it accumulates daily. it really took away from the pleasure of walking the beach each day.

Terrific resort

Just returned from Be Live Marien in Puerto Plata. Had a wonderful week there, although lots of rain but nothing can be done about that. The hotel was great, rooms very clean, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, no need to try reserve a sun lounger at the beach or hotel pool , plenty of chairs no matter what time of day. The food was plentiful and had lots of flavour, with lots of choices. Evening shows were excellent too I would defiantly go back to this hotel, I had such a w [... read more]onderful time. Also a special mention to Robyn Murray at tripcentral, this was a very last minute trip for me. Robyn assisted me with top quality and speedy service. Thank you Robyn.

VERY PLEASING RESORT 10 days( back on Feb 8/18)

We had an excellent 10 day vacation. Well kept grounds & nice HUGE pool. The food was very good with lots to choose from. We were in Room 8201 which was very nice & would like to thank Jocelina Bayes for taking care of us. Jorge, Claudio & all other bar staff were Very friendly with smiles & jokes. The Entertainment Crew were very good. You have to go to Le Petit Francois on the beach at the market if you are Canadian (they have Poutine). There were not too many Vendors on the beach. Not a 4 Star!

The room was clean and maid service was good. Although buffet was fairly repetitive, the food was hot and tasty. The main desk proved to be helpful and most staff were friendly. We enjoyed the Mexican alacarte and also tried Mediterranean and Brazilian, but did not like as well. But, on a whole, I would not rate as a 4 Star.

So much fun

This was our first trip ever and it was one to remember the weather the ppl the drinks night life the hotel We're beyond my expectations I would definitely return ❤️❤️❤️It's was 32 daily we did waters falls jet ski zip lining saw the town and how the ppl live meet great staff and new friends

More Cons than Pros

We (brother in law his wife and us) arrived at the resort to get informed they were overbooked because of a wedding so they gave us our VIP wrist band and transferred us to next door resort. Iberostart. They added another wrist band for regular guests for this resort so we could use their facilities. We have to wait till past 4 PM to get our rooms and they were far apart from each other.. They were to inform us next day if we will remain in this resort or go back to our original. Next day in  [... read more]the afternoon we moved back to our resort where we have to wait for our rooms. Sunwing offered us 1/2 hour massage each and a romantic dinner per couple for the inconvenience ( I will refer this at the end) and they also offered a massage to another couple we met as well and they were upgraded to VIP status. After we moved back my brother in law realized he forgot his jacket and cellular so we informed reception, VIP lounge so they could contact Iberostar. Three days after we kept going and asking about this we were informed they found the jacket but never found the phone. We continued encountering small problems so we expended lots of time going back and forth to either talk to the reception of the hotel or the Sunwing rep. It was raining the last 3 days of our stay and this showed leaks all over the resort so we will see cones warning of wet spots and in some cases only a blue towel which they were totally wet. Last day we decided to go to the Disco located in the Main entrance and there were only a few cones and some towels soaking the leaks. We were avoiding the towels with no presence of cones close to the entrance when suddenly I step on a wet spot and I felt and bang my head violently on the floor. I waited for the Doctor and she checked and put a patch on my head and asked my wife to wake me every 2 hours and left. Next morning we were waiting on the lobby for our bus for he airport and the couple that was moved to VIP was asking if we received the VIP treat. VIP treat was a list of items that VIP people will received, like a bottle of Rhum, massage, bottle of wine with each meal, etc etc which we never received. A few comments from the resort before the final BANG!!! Pool area, always full, people putting towels to reserve spots from before 7 a.m Beach area same thing VIP area same People trying to take you to go to a meeting for time share and beach people offering massage, pictures all day. To finalize this exceptional bad week. 2 days after our arrival back home I have to take my wife to emergency where she stayed for more than 3 days and she contracted Salmonella. And this is only a quick review. The positive I can say about this resort is that employees in restaurants and bars are extremely friendly and will try to please you at all times even after watching them work from early in the morning to late at night.

Stress vacation

Resort overbooked. Moved to next door resort waiting for next day to be moved back. Wasted two days waiting to be check in ( schedule for after 3 p.m.) Leaks in buildings and floors were wet . Reception install warning cones but looks like run short of them so they put towels which were wet all the time. Pool always full as well as beach. Food below average Every time you go to buffet area you will encounter people trying to sell you something. Annoying. Visited 3 restaurants. Be Live Collection Marien

Smaller sized Hotel with extremely friendly and efficient staff. The staff make this hotel as a vacation location . The hotel in spots is a little worn but not enough to worry about. The rooms were exceptional and extremely clean. We have enjoyed this location so much that this time was our second visit.
